Samsung may be stepping back from the ultra-thin smartphone trend sooner than expected. According to recent reports, the company has halted development of a follow-up to the Galaxy S25 Edge. The reason is said to be weak sales and limited consumer interest in the ultra-thin design.

Earlier rumors suggested Samsung was considering replacing the Galaxy S26+ with a refreshed Edge model in 2026. Those plans later shifted to a more cautious wait-and-see approach. Now, sources indicate the project has been scrapped altogether.

The Galaxy S25 Edge focused heavily on achieving an ultra-slim profile. That design choice came with major trade-offs. Battery life from the 3,900mAh unit drew criticism for falling short in day-to-day use.

Another compromise of the slim design is camera versatility. The S25 Edge lacks a telephoto lens, while the iPhone Air only manages to pack a single rear sensor. Taken together, additional lenses, full-day battery life, and better heat dissipation appear to matter more to buyers than an ultra-slim and lightweight design.

According to a report from October, Apple scaled back production of the iPhone Air by one million units. With no strong push from its main rival, Samsung may see little reason to invest further in a niche category with limited demand.

While a larger battery was said to be under consideration for a next-generation Edge model, it remains unclear whether that would have been enough to offer full-day battery life and change buyer sentiment. For now, Samsung is expected to focus on more balanced flagship designs.

The situation points to a broader industry shift. While ultra-thin phones attract attention, consumers continue to prioritize battery life, performance, and overall usability. If current trends hold, 2026 could mark a pause—or an end—to the ultra-thin flagship experiment for both Samsung and Apple.

Apple’s latest lineup has introduced a new model — the iPhone Air — and it’s making headlines for an unusual reason. Unlike most modern phones that push bigger and bigger batteries, the Air ships with just a 3,149 mAh cell. On paper, that looks underwhelming next to the 6,000 mAh packs that are common today. But in practice, it’s proving surprisingly capable.

Early battery tests suggest Apple’s efficiency game is paying off. YouTuber XEETECHCARE put the iPhone Air through a full drain test and clocked nearly 9 hours of screen time (8 hours 57 minutes). That was just enough to edge past Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge, which lasted 8 hours 45 minutes with a larger 3,900 mAh battery.

Tom’s Guide reported similar findings. In their web browsing loop, the Air managed 12 hours and 2 minutes versus the S25 Edge’s 11 hours and 48 minutes. Video streaming painted an even clearer picture: after five hours, the iPhone Air still had 81% battery left, while Samsung’s phone dropped to 67%. That kind of gap shows Apple isn’t just relying on hardware, but on tight software optimization too.

In fact, Apple was previously rumored to be working on an AI-powered resource management system for better efficiency and extended battery life, which now seems to be a part of the new iPhones. The iPhone 17 Pro Max lasted 11 hours and 53 minutes in XEETECHCARE’s test, while the Galaxy S25 Ultra only managed 9 hours and 18 minutes. Galaxy S25 models getting the first bite

It was already confirmed that the Galaxy S25 will be the first phone to receive stable One UI 8 update when the rollout begins, and now it’s getting the update. The update is currently available for Galaxy S25, Galaxy S25+, and Galaxy S25 Ultra users in South Korea. It comes with a firmware version BYI3, and the download size varies depending on whether you’re a beta tester or not.

Those already running One UI 8 beta on their Galaxy S25 are receiving a smaller update that weighs around 550MB. That’s because major changes have already been installed into beta devices via beta builds. The latest update changes the beta state to stable and brings minor improvements. For other users, the update weighs around 3.9GB.

The stable One UI 8 update for the Galaxy S25 series is currently rolling out in South Korea, but it shouldn’t be long before users in other regions also start getting the update. You can head over to Settings > Software updates and tap on Download and install to see if it’s available for your device.

Stable One UI 8 update also arrives for Galaxy S25 Edge

The Galaxy S25 Edge, launched in May, was not a part of the One UI 8 beta program. It’s currently available in South Korea, with more regions to follow soon.

It appears that Samsung is moving quickly with the One UI 8 rollout. With half of this month still to go, we strongly believe that more Galaxy devices will receive the stable update later this month. That might include the Galaxy S24 series, Galaxy Z Fold 6, and Galaxy Z Flip 6.

Samsung has already confirmed that it will complete the stable rollout of One UI 8.0 to all eligible Galaxy devices before the end of the year, and the latest actions also suggest the same.

The iPhone Air’s new A19 Pro chip, paired with Apple’s N1 and C1X wireless and modem chips, makes it incredibly power-efficient and consistent over time. And more importantly, it brings in Google’s mature AI suite, including Circle to Search, Call Transcript, Live Translate, and more. These features are already deeply embedded across One UI 7. Apple Intelligence is only just rolling out properly with iOS 26. Despite both chips being capable of running on-device AI, Samsung’s deeper and more complete AI integration gives it the upper hand in actual user experience. The performance edge still goes to Edge.

Cameras: Numbers Don’t Lie

Apple nails the front camera. The new 18MP Center Stage selfie sensor is brilliant. Samsung’s Galaxy S26 series is expected to launch in January 2026 — but the question of which chip will power the new flagships remains open. At the NAEK Young Festival in Seoul, Park Yong-in, President of Samsung System LSI, spoke about the development of the Exynos 2600. While he sounded confident about the chip’s progress, Park stopped short of confirming whether it would be used in the Galaxy S26 series.

Earlier this year, Samsung MX — the mobile division — surprised many by using the Exynos 2500 in the Galaxy Z Flip7 and the Exynos 2400 in the Z Flip7 FE, breaking from its usual reliance on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon processors. Park said the Exynos 2600 was “progressing well” and hinted at “good results” ahead, but made it clear that MX will make the final call on whether the chip makes it into the S26 lineup.

The fact that the multitasking-focused Z Fold7 still relies on a Snapdragon flagship suggests the Exynos 2500 fell short of Samsung’s performance or efficiency expectations. So far, there’s been little convincing evidence of significant gains with the Exynos 2600 either — likely a key reason why the mobile division has yet to lock in a deal with System LSI, Samsung’s chipmaking arm.

Samsung had originally planned to use the Exynos 2500 for the Galaxy S25 series, only to scrap it in favor of the Snapdragon 8 Elite due to yield problems. However, what left even Zack Nelson surprised was how well the titanium frame held up during the best test.

Despite the Galaxy S25 Edge measuring just 5.8mm in thickness, the device didn’t snap in half as many expected it to. Rather, there was only a slight flex when pushed to its limits. The titanium chassis employed on the Galaxy S25 Edge is definitely a big reason for its impressive structural integrity. Apart from the bend test, the video also shows that the Galaxy S25 Edge got a decent review from Zack for the scratches and burn tests.

Apple is rumored to be working on a rival to this model with the iPhone 17 Air, but it remains to be seen how this model will compare. Apple is also expected to unveil its own slim phone later this year, and it’s pretty obvious that Samsung is trying to get ahead of the curve.

The S25 Edge is now the slimmest Galaxy S-series device ever, measuring just 5.8mm thick and weighing only 163 grams. It borrows design cues from the rest of the S25 lineup, with squared-off corners and flat edges, but features a dual-camera setup on the back, one less than its siblings.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge Overview

The S25 Edge is built around a 6.7-inch AMOLED panel with QHD+ resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 2600 nits of peak brightness. The screen is protected by Corning’s new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2. However, it lacks the anti-reflective coating available on the S25 Ultra’s Gorilla Glass Armor 2.

The front is also home to a 12MP f/2.2 selfie camera. Whereas, on the back, you get a 200MP main lens with an f/1.7 aperture and OIS, along with a 12MP ultrawide lens with an f/2.2 aperture and support for macro shots. 

The device lacks a dedicated telephoto module — unlike the rest of the S25 series — but Samsung says the main camera can deliver 2x optical zoom.

Under the hood, the S25 Edge is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chipset, paired with 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and either 256GB or 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. 

Software-wise, it’s OneUI 7 based on the top of Android 15, with support for a lasting seven years of software and security patch updates. And as expected, it includes the full suite of Galaxy AI features.

The phone packs a 3900mAh battery that supports up to 25W wired charging, along with wireless charging support. It also includes an IP rating for water and dust resistance, and features titanium frames along the sides.

Price and Availability

The Galaxy S25 Edge is now available for pre-order, with sales set to begin on May 23. Pricing starts at $1,099.99 for the 256GB model, while the 512GB variant is priced at $1,219.99. You can get it in Titanium Silver, Titanium Jetblack, and Titanium Icyblue shades.

Samsung is gearing up to launch the Galaxy S25 Edge on May 13, and a wave of leaks and teasers over the past 24 hours has revealed key details about the upcoming device. The company released an official teaser video confirming that the Galaxy S25 Edge will be the first smartphone to feature Corning’s new Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2, promising improved durability.

Additionally, leaked promo images and accessory renders have surfaced (courtesy of Android Headlines), confirming many previously rumored specifications.

Leaked promotional images have revealed the phone’s ultra-thin profile—just 5.8mm thick. It has a flat frame, very slim bezels, and a centered hole-punch selfie camera. The device will come in three colors: Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jetblack.

The Galaxy S25 Edge will feature a dual rear camera setup, with a 200MP main sensor offering 2x Optical Quality Zoom, alongside a 12MP ultrawide camera. A 12MP selfie camera is positioned at the top center of the display. The device is IP68 certified, making it resistant to dust and water.

On the front, the phone will sport a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Performance will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip, the same custom processor used in other Galaxy S25 series models. It will include 12GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 256GB of UFS 4.0 storage.

One concern is the battery size. The Galaxy S25 Edge will include a 3,900mAh battery, which is smaller than the standard Galaxy S25’s battery despite the Edge having a larger display. The device will support 25W wired charging.

Official accessories for the phone have also been revealed through leaks. These include a Silicone Case available in black, blue, and gray; a Kindsuit Case made of PU material with a leather-like texture available in gray, light gray, and blue; a Transparent Silicone Case offering soft-touch protection; and an Anti-Reflective Screen Protector to reduce glare.

Well, the company just confirmed its adoption of the latest Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 “for enhanced durability.” This new glass possibly lacks the anti-reflective coating.

According to Samsung, Corning has intrinsically embedded ceramic crystals within the glass matrix, which enhances drop resistance. Corning’s ion exchange process further improves the durability of Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2.

Apple recently ran an ad campaign for its Ceramic Shield on the iPhone 16, suggesting it can be used without a screen protector or a case. Now here we are: Samsung will also likely include ceramic in its marketing materials for the S25 Edge.

As per a previous leak, the middle frame is also made of a titanium alloy, similar to the S25 Ultra, further hinting at the durability of this “razor-thin” device. In fact, Samsung is also including the word “titanium” in the color options. It’s clear that Samsung is positioning the S25 Edge as a slim yet durable flagship.

Samsung’s Galaxy S25 lineup is getting a new member, and it’s a little different from what we usually see. It’s neither a Fan Edition nor another Ultra-branded device. Instead, it’s a thinner phone called the Galaxy S25 Edge. 

We got a sneak peek of it briefly during Samsung’s Galaxy Unpacked event in January 2025 and again at MWC. And Samsung says it’s the “slimmest Galaxy S series yet.”

That’s it, though. Beyond the form factor, Samsung hasn’t revealed much officially. Still, there’s enough out there to paint a decent picture of what the Galaxy S25 Edge is and, more importantly, what it isn’t.

A Slim Design, for What It’s Worth

Let’s start with what’s supposedly the main draw. The shape and size. 

According to leaks, the Galaxy S25 Edge will measure just 5.84mm thick and weigh around 162 grams. This makes it the lightest and slimmest phone Samsung has released in years. That could appeal to people tired of the hefty slabs that phones have become, though you have to wonder how much functionality and thermal headroom gets sacrificed along the way.

The design language isn’t exactly new. The phone has flat sides, a titanium alloy frame, and a ceramic back panel. It’s expected to come in three titanium-themed colors: Icy Blue, Silver, and Jetblack.

Familiar Display

On the front, the Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to carry a 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 1-120Hz variable refresh rate and 2K resolution. The screen is said to reach 2,600 nits peak brightness and come with Gorilla Glass Victus 2 protection. 

The phone’s bezels are allegedly down to just 1.32mm, and there’s a central punch-hole for the selfie camera. It all sounds very similar to the Galaxy S25+.

There’s also a mention of the Pro Scaler upscaling tech that’s found on the Galaxy S25 Ultra. Under the display, Samsung is expected to include an ultrasonic fingerprint reader. No surprises there.

Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy

The Edge isn’t likely to fall behind in raw power. A Geekbench listing hints that the phone will be powered by the same Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy chip as the rest of the line. 

The chip is fabricated on a 3nm process and clocks up to 4.47GHz. So, at least in terms of processing, the Edge won’t be a “lite” version.

However, performance isn’t just about raw power. With its much slimmer profile, the Edge will need to manage heat differently. Samsung is said to be using a wider vapor chamber in this model, though thinner than the one in the Galaxy S25. So, we will have to wait to see how it’ll perform under pressure.

The phone is expected to ship with 12GB of RAM, likely LPDDR5X, and up to 512GB of UFS 4.0 storage. Reportedly, it won’t be available in the 1TB option. Samsung seems to be reserving its Ultra models.

Cameras

The Galaxy S25 Edge could end up using a combination of camera hardware from both the regular and Ultra models. According to reports, it’ll have a 200MP main sensor (1/1.4-inch) similar to the Galaxy S25 Ultra and a 12MP ultrawide shooter like the standard Galaxy S25.

Up front, the 12MP selfie camera sits in the punch-hole cutout. Nothing about this setup seems particularly new. But it’s Samsung’s tried and tested formula. 

There’s no word on telephoto cameras, though. This piece will likely be missing here, which is not surprising given the phone’s slim profile.

Battery and Charging

The battery is probably where the compromises start to show. The Galaxy S25 Edge is rumored to house a 3,900mAh battery. The size is even smaller than that of the Galaxy Z Flip 6. So, Samsung must do proper optimizations to give the phone a decent runtime. 

Better yet, the company could’ve opted for a silicon-carbon battery that’s making rounds on Chinese phones these days. Since those batteries have much higher energy density, they can hold more power than conventional Li-ion batteries. 

Anyway, the 3900mAh cell will charge at 25W max, and rumors suggest it might not have wireless charging support. 

Software, Connectivity, and Miscellaneous

The phone is expected to run One UI 7 based on Android 15, complete with Galaxy AI features like Audio Eraser, Auto Trim, and various Assist tools (Note, Photo, Writing, Browsing, etc.). These are the same software experiences offered across the S25 family.

Assuming Samsung follows the same software policy, the S25 Edge should receive seven years of OS updates and security patches. 

The Galaxy S25 Edge should also support Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, USB-C 3.2, and 5G. It’s also expected to come with stereo speakers and the usual IP rating.

Release Dates and Limited Rollout

According to leaks, the Galaxy S25 Edge will debut globally on May 13, 2025. The device could also debut in India as it has received BIS certification. 

Its sales are expected to begin on May 23 in China and Korea, and on May 30 in the US. Pre-registrations may start on May 14, followed by pre-reservations between May 20 and May 23.

This will likely be a limited release, as previous reports suggest Samsung is planning to produce only 40,000 units of the Galaxy S25 Edge initially. 

Pricing

As for the price, the phone may cost 1,500,000 won (around ₹90,000) for the base 256GB version, and 1,630,000 won (around ₹97,874) for the 512GB version in South Korea. Whereas in Europe, the price is expected to fall between €1,200 and €1,400.

For those unfamiliar, it does not include a telephoto—only main and ultrawide—and the battery is also expected to be smaller, and it’s reportedly based on the traditional Li-ion battery tech (not the high-density Si/C battery tech). There’s not much attention-grabbing element other than the ~5.8mm thickness and possibly a titanium middle frame. There have been reports of a ceramic back panel, but details about the specific material used or its benefits remain scarce.

According to a comment on the post, Samsung is expecting significant sales volume from China, which could be a reason to include it for the initial release alongside the home country, South Korea. The company actually followed a similar strategy last year with the Galaxy Z Fold SE. While the foldable never made its way to the global market, the S25 Edge is expected to do so. In fact, European pricing for the S25 Edge has already been revealed, thanks to Italian online store Zanetti. The 256GB and 512GB models were listed with price tags of €1,362 and €1,488, respectively.

This phone is positioned between the S25+ and the S25 Ultra, and it’s also expected to benefit from all the AI features the other S25 models have. Samsung has rolled out the Gemini Live-based real-time visual AI feature, which will also likely be a part of the S25 Edge.

The Galaxy S25 Edge has been in the conversation for quite a while, which was rescheduled to launch on May 13. Now, thanks to a new leak, we have the expected pricing of the phone, and it could be a bit difficult to swallow.

Specification wise, the phone includes only two cameras on the back. And while the slick form factor may convince you to accept the smaller battery capacity, a significant proportion of recently launched Android devices already pack massive battery capacity thanks to the high density Si/C battery tech, which Samsung could use for this slim phone for a little bit of extra cost.

Galaxy S25 Edge is more expensive than the almost perfect S25+

The Galaxy S25 Edge has been spotted on Italian online store Zanetti, and the 256GB and 512GB models are priced at €1,362 and €1,488 respectively. This is higher than the initially expected pricing for the European markets. For comparison, the 256GB and 512GB variants of the S25+ are sold for €1,247 and €1,372 in the region. So the S25 Edge will cost over a €100 more than the S25+—as far as this listing is to be believed.

Notably, prices can vary in different markets, so you cannot really convert the pricing for your region to get to know how much you need to save. But it at least offers us an idea of the price tag relative to the other models.

The raw performance capability of this phone has improved over time: it scored 2969 and 9486 in single and multi-core Geekbench CPU tests. However, it doesn’t really reflect sustained performance under a heavy workload. The phone is slimmer, and the cooling system is likely inferior to the one on the S25+. So we will have to wait for the real-life tests. On the software side, the phone is expected co pre-installed with One UI 7, the stable version of which is finally rolling out to some older flagships starting today.

The report claims that the leadership changes within the brand’s MX division are the primary reason behind the announcement being postponed. If this is true, then the delay isn’t due to any production or quality related issues. Samsung has reportedly informed three telecom carriers, confirming that it will sell the Galaxy S25 Edge in South Korea around this new launch window. Notably, the company could be planning on unveiling the specifications, pricing, and release dates during an online event.

Based on what we know so far, this model is expected to feature the Snapdragon 8 Elite for Galaxy SoC. But one of its highlighting aspect is its thin design paired with a titanium alloy frame and a 2K AMOLED display. Samsung is working on an ultra slim flagship that is expected to bring flagship grade hardware and a premium design. While the Galaxy S25 Edge has already been spotted in various rumors and reports, the latest certification sighting showcases its disappointing fast charging rate.

Samsung Galaxy S25 Edge spotted on FCC

The Indian and US variants of the South Korean tech giant’s Galaxy S25 Edge were certified by the FCC. The former carries the SM-S937B/DS and SM-S937B model numbers while the latter variant carries the SM-S937U and SM-S937U1 (Via 91Mobiles). This listing does not reveal the official moniker of this device, but the model number basically confirms that it is the Galaxy S25 Edge. We don’t get a lot of information from this listing, but it does confirm support for 5G, Bluetooth LE, WiFi, NFC, WPT, and UWB.

But one of the key details that was confirmed was the fast charging rate. Unfortunately, Samsung is still sticking with the awfully slow 25W charging speeds for the Galaxy S25 Edge, matching the base Galaxy S25. Based on our previous reports, the Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to offer 2K resolution from its 6.6-inch 120Hz AMOLED display. This panel is surrounded by a titanium frame. The company might be planning on launching the S25 Edge globally in April 2025.

A 3,900mAh battery pack may power this model. Other notable features include an IP68 rating, 200MP + 50MP dual rear cameras, Snapdragon 8 Elite SoC, 162 gram weight, ultra slim 5.84mm body, One UI 7 custom skin out of the box, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of internal storage.

The phone has already appeared in multiple certification platforms, including BIS and FCC, which hints at an imminent launch. But this controlled reveal strategy hints at a launch without the typical fanfare.

If the claim is true, the decision to forgo a dedicated event may reflect Samsung’s confidence in the S25 Edge as a complementary model to its flagship S25 series rather than a standalone product. By leveraging existing hype from earlier showcases and proceeding with a quiet rollout, the company could streamline marketing efforts while maintaining an air of exclusivity around the device.

Samsung’s upcoming Galaxy S25 Edge isn’t staying out of the news. Just recently, it popped up on Geekbench, and a separate leak hinted at its India launch window. Now, reliable tipster Ice Universe is back with new details about its display and frame.

According to the tipster, the S25 Edge will feature a 2K resolution display. This puts it on par with the S25 Plus and above the standard S25. But the higher resolution display means a trade-off in terms of battery life. 

The S25 Edge is a slim phone with a battery reported to be even smaller than the base S25. So a higher-resolution screen will only put more strain on the battery. I think if Samsung decides to dial down the resolution instead, it wouldn’t be the worst trade-off.

Titanium frame outside of Ultra

On the bright side, Samsung might finally bring titanium frames beyond its Ultra models. Per Ice Universe, the S25 Edge will sport a titanium alloy middle frame which if true will make it the first non-Ultra S-series phone to feature it. The device was previously reported to launch in Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jetblack shades.

Of course, that premium build comes with a premium price tag. According to previous reports, the base 256GB model of the S25 Edge could land between €1,200 and €1,300, while the 512GB variant might stretch to €1,400. That’s a hefty price for a phone that may have to compromise on battery life.

For that price, though, the rest of the hardware looks flagship-worthy. Expect a Snapdragon 8 Elite chip, LPDDR5X RAM, and UFS 4.0 storage, paired with a 200MP main camera. Charging speeds will remain familiar with 25W wired and 15W wireless options, along with stereo speakers and an ultrasonic fingerprint scanner rounding out the package.

It will also run Android 15 out of the box, offering the latest software experience. For those wondering, the previous listing includes single and multi-core scores of 2806 and 8416, respectively.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to launch globally in April, including in markets like India. It will be available in two storage configurations: 12GB + 256GB and 12GB + 512GB. The device will come in three color options: Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jetblack. Other notable features include a 6.55-inch 120Hz AMOLED display, a 200MP main camera (expected to be the same as the S25 Ultra), an ultra-slim 5.82mm design, a 3900mAh battery, and 25W fast charging.

This leak also arrives after the Galaxy S25 Edge was spotted on BIS, which is an Indian certification.

Just earlier this week, the Galaxy S25 Edge had its color, storage, and European pricing leaked. The device is expected to arrive in three color options, namely Titanium Icyblue, Titanium Silver, and Titanium Jetblack. It may also launch in two storage configurations that include 256GB and 512GB options. Both variants are likely paired with 12GB of RAM. Since it is a flagship grade model from the Galaxy S25 series, the S25 Edge is likely equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite For Galaxy SoC.

Only the base X200 and X200 Pro made it to the global market, but recently rumors have hinted at the Vivo X200 Pro Mini heading to the Indian market along with the X200 Ultra. The Xiaomi 15 was also recently unveiled with a similar display size, so the X200 Pro Mini will likely be another Chinese contender to the Galaxy S25 and the iPhone 16.

Nothing Phone (3)

It has been a while since we’ve seen a flagship smartphone from Carl Pei’s Nothing. The brand just announced the new Phone (3a) and Phone (3a) Pro as mid range models with great specs. But there have also been reports regarding a premium device also being in the works.

OnePlus 13 Mini/13T

Sticking with the trend of Chinese smartphone brands making compact flagship phones, we have the OnePlus 13T or OnePlus 13 Mini. This model is rumored to sport a 6.3-inch display on the front, while the rear may feature a dual camera setup similar to the Galaxy S25 Edge. However, it has two major advantages in terms of hardware.

The OnePlus 13T might be the cheapest Snapdragon 8 Elite powered smartphone and it might house a massive 6,000mAh battery pack despite its small build. This device could offer wired fast charging and wireless fast charging support along with an optical in-display fingerprint scanner.

Oppo Find X8S/Find X8 Mini

Matching OnePlus, Xiaomi, and Vivo, Chinese OEM Oppo is also rumored to be working on a new “Mini” phone. The exact name of this model is still unclear but reports have claimed that it could be either the Find X8s or the Find X8 Mini. Just like the OnePlus 13T, the smartphone is expected to have a 6.3-inch LTPO OLED display on the front.

On the rear, there is a triple camera setup with a periscope telephoto shooter. Similar to the X200 Pro Mini, it may pack a big 5,700mAh battery pack with 80W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging. Other notable features include an IP68/69 rated body, 50MP triple cameras, and the Dimensity 9400+ SoC.

While earlier reports hinted at a ceramic back, this detail was not confirmed in the latest leak.

The Galaxy S25 Edge is expected to come with two storage variants: 256 GB and 512 GB. The 256GB model is rumored to cost between €1,200 and €1,300, while the 512GB variant could range from €1,300 to €1,400. These prices are notably high for a device that lacks a telephoto.

While this is difficult to accomplish within a 5-6mm thin chassis, it’s also something common in almost all the devices in its price range. That said, the prices will likely vary between different markets, and judging from the track record, it’s expected to be much lower in the US.
