But the real story here is the camera and productivity suite. Samsung crammed a 200MP primary sensor into this incredibly thin chassis, which actually processes full-resolution HDR imagery, backed by an expanded graphite cooling system so the phone doesn’t melt in your hands.

Oppo Find N6

The Oppo Find N series maintains its wider, passport-like shape, which many users prefer for typing on the cover screen. The Find N6 focuses heavily on camera quality and hinge durability. Using a new 3D-printed titanium hinge, the device manages to keep the inner screen crease very minimal.

It runs on the Kirin 9030 Pro chip and features a 7.7-inch inner screen paired with a 5.4-inch outer display. It is relatively light at 229g and measures 5.2mm thick when opened. For cameras, it uses a 50MP main sensor with a variable aperture (f/1.4 to f/4.0) to help with natural depth of field, plus a 50MP telephoto and a 12.5MP ultra-wide.

It also packs a 5,300mAh battery with 66W wired charging and supports Huawei‘s M-Pen 3 Mini stylus. The main catch is that it doesn’t come with Google Play Services, which is a dealbreaker for a lot of people, but the physical hardware and updated hinge design are solid.

Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold

The Google Pixel 11 Pro Fold is Google’s latest book-style foldable, focusing heavily on software and everyday usability. It runs on the new Tensor G6 chip and features a redesigned gearless hinge that helps slim down the bezels and reduce the overall weight. For cameras, it uses a 48MP main sensor capable of 30x Super Res Zoom, relying on Google‘s well-known computational photography rather than massive hardware numbers.

A unique addition to the design is the HiLight, a multi-functional LED ring around the camera flash used for color-coded notifications. If you prefer a clean Android interface and practical AI features over having the most extreme hardware specs, it is a very solid choice.

Motorola Razr Fold

September doesn’t usually hand you a launch calendar this packed, but 2026 is on another level. More than 20 phones are expected to land this month alone, and nearly every major brand is throwing its biggest hardware into the same four-week window. 

You’re looking at the iPhone 18 Pro series and Apple’s first foldable iPhone, the Xiaomi 18 series and the Xiaomi 18 Fold, the Vivo X500 series, the Oppo Find X10 series, the Honor Magic9 series, the Huawei Mate 90 series, the iQOO 16 series, and the Poco F9 series, on top of a wave of Redmi and Poco midrangers.

Part of the crowding comes down to timing that’s shifted across the industry at once. Apple is reportedly pulling its high-end launch earlier and pairing it with a brand-new form factor. Huawei has moved the Mate series up from its usual November slot to get ahead of the competition. Xiaomi is using September to introduce its in-house Xring O3 chip across two device families simultaneously, while Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 are both fresh enough that Xiaomi, Vivo, and iQOO all want to be first to ship them. Even brands that normally stagger their releases, like Honor and Oppo, are lining their flagships up close enough that you’ll be comparing specs sheets side by side whether you planned to or not.

Not every one of these will matter to you personally, and plenty are China-only at first. But if you’re trying to decide what to wait for, here’s what’s actually worth tracking, starting with the two launches most likely to set the tone for the rest of the year.

iPhone 18 Pro, Pro Max, and the first foldable iPhone

Apple’s event is set for September 9, and this year it’s not just the usual Pro refresh. You’re getting the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max alongside Apple’s first foldable iPhone. 

The Pro models are tipped to keep familiar 6.3-inch and 6.9-inch screen sizes, but move to the A20 Pro chip built on a 2nm process, 12GB of RAM, and Apple’s own C2 modem instead of a third-party option. You’ll also see a shrunken Dynamic Island as Face ID components move further under the display.

The foldable is the bigger story for you if you’ve been waiting to see what Apple does with the form factor. According to rumors, it will have a 7.8-inch inner display and a 5.3-inch cover screen, built from a mix of titanium and aluminum. Apple is reportedly dropping Face ID here in favor of Touch ID, likely built into the power button, and skipping a telephoto lens on the dual rear camera setup. That’s a real trade-off for a device expected to cost more than $2,000, especially since Samsung’s Galaxy Z Fold series and Huawei’s Pura X line don’t cut that corner. 

Xiaomi’s busiest month of the year

Xiaomi is treating September as a launch marathon. The company will launch the Xiaomi 18 Fold in early September with the company’s new in-house Xring O3 chip, paired with next-generation LPDDR6 RAM. 

Moreover, you’re likely to get a 7.6-inch foldable display, a 6,000mAh battery that’s noticeably bigger than what Samsung and Huawei offer in their folding phones, 67W wired and 50W wireless charging, and a 200MP primary camera. It ships alongside the Xiaomi Pad 9 Pro Max, which uses the same chipset.

Toward the end of the month, Xiaomi is set to launch the Xiaomi 18 Pro series with Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 hardware. Xiaomi will be the first brand to ship phones with that chipset. 

You can expect dual 200MP SmartSens sensors, a dedicated AI button, and — notably — a faster global rollout than in past years. Xiaomi’s global 18 Pro and standard 18 models have already picked up certification in markets including Turkey, the EEA, Russia, Taiwan, and Japan, though India isn’t part of that initial batch as of yet.

Huawei Mate XT2

Unlike most of the phones in this roundup, the Mate XT2 doesn’t need a rumored tag. Huawei has officially confirmed its launch date for September 7, landing well before both the Mate 90 series and Apple’s own event. The device is Huawei’s third tri-fold phone, following the original Mate XT and last year’s Mate XTs refresh.

Pre-orders are already open in China in 16GB+512GB, 16GB+1TB, 16GB+1TB with a privacy display, and a top-end 16GB+2TB version bundled with a privacy display and a stylus. The first three configurations come in Obsidian Black, White, and Purple, while the top-tier model is Purple only. 

On the hardware side, the device could get a Kirin 9050 Pro chipset built on Huawei’s newer process, a battery above 6,000mAh, and a redesigned hinge aimed at reducing the crease on the 10.2-inch unfolded display.

What’s notable is how Huawei is sequencing this against its other September launch. Rather than bundling everything into one event, the company is reportedly splitting the Mate XT2 and Mate 90 series across two separate dates. This gives Huawei two separate moments in the spotlight instead of one.

Huawei Mate 90 series arrives early with a new Kirin chip

Moving to the Mate 90 series now, and if you know the Mate series has typically launched in November, this year it’s reportedly moving up to September to land closer to Apple’s event. 

The chipset is the bigger story here. Huawei’s next Kirin processor is said to use a new “Tau” design approach that increases transistor density by more than 50%, putting performance in the neighborhood of early TSMC 3nm chips despite Huawei’s manufacturing constraints.

On the camera side, the Mate 90 Pro Max is tipped to bring back true long-range optical zoom with dual periscope telephoto lenses, including one capable of 10x optical zoom, a setup Huawei hasn’t offered since the P40 Pro+. Likewise, the battery capacity is expected to land between 6,800mAh and 7,000mAh across the Pro Max and RS models, paired with a 6.9-inch Tandem OLED display.

iQOO 16 Series

The iQOO 16 series is, as usual, a performance-first flagship, and iQOO is expected to unveil it in China alongside the iQOO Neo 12 and a new compact tablet. You’ll get a 6.85-inch Samsung-made flat display running at 2K resolution with a 165Hz refresh rate, paired with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 Pro chip. 

What’s notable is that iQOO is putting more effort into the camera system this time. The device is tipped with three 50MP rear sensors, including a large 1/1.3-inch primary sensor with an f/1.68 aperture. Extras include Bose-tuned dual speakers, a dedicated X-axis linear motor for haptics, a 3D ultrasonic fingerprint sensor, and IP68/IP69 ratings. The device is likely to launch at the end of September or early October, so it’s one of the later arrivals in this whole wave.

Vivo X500 series goes all in on video

Vivo has confirmed the X500 series for a September debut in China. As usual, both the X500 Pro and Pro Max have a Zeiss Super Dynamic main camera co-developed with Sony, rated for 17EV of dynamic range, which Vivo describes as the highest in the industry right now. The capability carries over to video too, with 4K 240fps slow motion and 4K 120fps HDR recording. The camera module also gets 3-degree OIS with gimbal-level stabilization.

Hardware-wise, the Vivo X500 Pro Max is expected to have a 6.85-inch 2K display using BOE’s Q11 panel, the first phone globally to get it. Vivo says it cuts motion blur during scrolling by 93% compared to the previous generation. The standard X500 and Pro model are expected to run MediaTek’s Dimensity 9600 series chips, while the Pro Max might step up to the Dimensity 9600 Pro.

Oppo Find X10 series with dual periscope cameras

The Oppo Find X10 series has been through a few rounds of leaks so far. The latest word points to the Pro Max sitting at the top of the range, above the standard Find X10 and Find X10 Pro, with a possible compact flagship variant thrown in for people who don’t want a massive phone. Camera-wise, you’re looking at dual 200MP rear sensors across the higher-end models.

Under the hood, the base Find X10 is tipped to run a MediaTek Dimensity 9600 series chip and pack an 8,000mAh battery. Oppo hasn’t confirmed pricing or an exact date yet, but everything points to a China launch this month, with the usual gap before it reaches global markets. If you’re comparing it against the Find X9 series you already know, expect the camera hardware to be the headline change rather than the design.

Honor Magic9 series brings ARRI’s cinema tools to the phone

Honor has already confirmed the Magic9 series for a September 28 launch in Beijing, moving nearly a month earlier than the Magic8 series did last year. The headline feature is a continued partnership with ARRI, the cinema camera maker, bringing native Log-C3 video encoding and LUT color grading down to a phone. Honor is also tipped to give the standard Magic9 a square selfie camera, a first for an Android phone.

On the rear, it is rumored to have a 200MP main sensor with 3-degree OIS and a second 200MP periscope telephoto lens on the higher models, backed by a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 6 chipset. The battery is said to climb past 7,500mAh on the standard model and closer to 9,000mAh on the Pro, using Honor’s silicon-carbon battery tech.

Poco F9 Series

Unlike most of the phones on this list, the Poco F9 series isn’t still stuck in leaks — Poco F9 Pro and F9 Ultra have a confirmed global launch date of September 1. Both are rebranded versions of the Redmi K100 Pro and K100 Pro Max, built around the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. The F9 Pro gets a 6.59-inch QHD+ Plastic OLED display at 185Hz, while the F9 Ultra steps up to a 6.85-inch panel with a 2608 x 1200 resolution, both developed with TCL CSOT and Xiaomi contributing to the panel design.

Likewise, the F9 Pro packs 6,330mAh while the F9 Ultra jumps to 8,050mAh, both supporting 100W wired charging and USB Power Delivery. On camera, the F9 Ultra adds a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP 5x telephoto on top of its main sensor, while the F9 Pro trims that down to an 8MP ultrawide and a 2.5x telephoto.

Much of the Fold 8 Ultra’s capabilities are borrowed from the Galaxy S26 Ultra, including the 5000mAh battery, charging capabilities, and the modern connectivity suite.

The iQOO Z11 is available in three distinct variants across different markets, with each version taking a different approach to hardware. The China model is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8500, while the Malaysia variant uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4.

The Indian version takes a different route altogether. Along with a different chipset from both international variants, it also gets a distinct design, making it visually different from the Z11 models sold in China and Malaysia.

This review focuses specifically on the Indian variant of the iQOO Z11, which combines its own design language with a large battery, curved AMOLED display, and a new MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo chipset. After spending time with the Aurora Green model, here’s how it performs in everyday use.

Slim and Distinctive Appeal

The Aurora Green variant is a particularly good fit for the Z11’s new design. At first glance, the rear panel appears green, but as you move the phone under different lighting, a subtle blue sheen becomes visible across the surface. This gives the phone a more dynamic appearance without making it look overly flashy.

Apart from Aurora Green, the Z11 is also available in a Celestial Blue edition. During my brief encounter with the blue variant, I noticed that it was more prone to picking up fingerprint marks, which was not an issue

The horizontal camera module also gives the Z11 a distinctive identity. It has obvious Pixel-inspired elements, but the overall execution feels sufficiently different. More importantly, the camera bar does not make the phone feel awkward when placed on a flat surface.

Despite housing a 7,050mAh battery, the Z11 is only 7.99mm thick and weighs 199 grams. The curved rear and tapered edges make it comfortable to hold, while the weight distribution keeps the phone from feeling excessively bulky.

Durability is a major improvement. The Z11 carries IP68 and IP69 ratings, along with military-grade durability certification. That makes it considerably more reassuring for everyday use than many mid-range phones.

Sharp and Immersive Display

The 6.83-inch curved AMOLED display is arguably the Z11’s biggest strength. It offers a 1.5K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and up to 2,000 nits of high-brightness mode. The panel looks sharp, vibrant, and suitably punchy without making colors appear excessively artificial.

The 144Hz refresh rate also contributes to a noticeably fluid experience while scrolling through apps and navigating the interface. Not every application consistently takes advantage of the maximum refresh rate, but when the phone is operating at 144Hz, the difference is easy to appreciate.

The curved edges make the display feel more immersive, although they can occasionally introduce accidental touches. Still, for watching movies, browsing social media, or reading, this is one of the more impressive displays available in the segment.

Smooth for Everyday Use

The iQOO Z11 is the first smartphone in India to use MediaTek’s Dimensity 7500 Turbo. It is paired with up to 12GB of LPDDR4X RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage.

For everyday use, the chipset is more than capable. Apps open quickly, multitasking is generally smooth, and switching between social media, browsers, streaming services, and messaging apps does not pose much of a challenge.

Gaming is where the limitations become more obvious. BGMI can run at up to 60fps with the available settings, while Call of Duty: Mobile also delivers a smooth experience at supported settings. However, the phone is not designed to compete with significantly more powerful gaming-focused devices.

More demanding games such as Genshin Impact and Wuthering Waves can expose the limitations of the Dimensity 7500 Turbo, particularly at higher graphical settings. The good news is that iQOO has added a 3,800mm² vapor chamber, and the phone generally manages heat reasonably well during sustained workloads.

In other words, the Z11 is a capable gaming phone for casual and moderate use, but buyers looking for maximum graphics performance should look elsewhere. Here’s how the device performed on benchmarking platforms.

Built for Long Endurance

The 7,050mAh battery is where the Z11 really earns its Z-series credentials. Despite the phone’s slim profile, the battery is large enough to comfortably handle a full day of heavy use and can stretch well into a second day with lighter workloads.

This is particularly impressive considering the large 6.83-inch display and 144Hz refresh rate. Battery optimization also appears to be effective, helping the Z11 maintain strong endurance without making the phone feel sluggish.

There is also bypass charging for gaming, which can reduce reliance on the battery when the phone is connected to a charger during longer gaming sessions.

The bundled 44W charging is perfectly usable, but it feels conservative for a phone in this price range, especially when some competitors offer substantially faster charging. The Z11 therefore prioritizes endurance over quick top-ups.

Feature-Rich and Customizable

The Z11 runs Android 16 with OriginOS 6. The interface is feature-rich, highly customizable, and generally smooth on the 144Hz display.

There are plenty of personalization options, along with features such as AI Creation, AI Captions, AI Transcript Assist, AI image editing tools, and Circle to Search. However, OriginOS still has some clutter. The phone comes with several third-party applications preinstalled, although many can be removed. This does not ruin the experience, but it does prevent the software from feeling as clean as it could.

iQOO has promised three major Android updates and five years of security updates, which is a welcome improvement for the Z series and should give the phone a reasonable lifespan.

Capable Cameras Across Conditions

The Z11’s camera setup consists of a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 primary sensor with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultrawide camera, and a 32-megapixel front-facing camera.

The main camera performs best in daylight. Photos generally have pleasing colors, good dynamic range, and enough detail for social media and everyday photography. HDR processing also does a respectable job balancing bright and dark portions of a scene.

However, image processing can sometimes be a little aggressive. Fine details may appear softer than expected, particularly when examining photos closely. Human subjects can also occasionally receive more processing than necessary.

Low-light performance is acceptable rather than class-leading. OIS and night processing help produce usable images, but noise and softer details become more noticeable as lighting deteriorates.

The 8-megapixel ultrawide camera is useful for capturing landscapes, architecture, and larger scenes, but its lower resolution means it cannot match the primary sensor for detail. It is best viewed as a versatility upgrade rather than a camera you will use in every situation.

The 32-megapixel selfie camera is one of the stronger parts of the setup. It captures good detail and generally natural-looking skin tones, while portrait selfies also benefit from reasonably good edge detection.

Overall, the Z11’s cameras are capable enough for everyday photography, but they are not the reason to buy this phone.

Verdict

The iQOO Z11 is not the fastest phone in its class, nor does it have the most impressive camera system. Instead, it succeeds by bringing several desirable qualities together.

The 1.5K 144Hz curved AMOLED display is excellent, the Aurora Green finish gives the phone plenty of personality, the IP68 and IP69 ratings add meaningful durability, and the 7,050mAh battery delivers the kind of endurance that many users will appreciate.

The Dimensity 7500 Turbo is capable for everyday tasks and moderate gaming, although demanding gamers will find faster options. The cameras are similarly competent rather than exceptional, while OriginOS 6 remains feature-packed but somewhat cluttered.

At its starting price of Rs. 34,999 in India, the iQOO Z11 faces strong competition. Still, if your priorities are a premium-looking display, long battery life, dependable everyday performance, and strong durability, the Z11 makes a compelling case.

It is not an outright performance champion. Instead, the iQOO Z11 is a well-balanced mid-ranger that understands where most users actually spend their time, and gets those fundamentals largely right.

Honor‘s 2026 phone lineup is a little harder to sum up with one standout spec. The company has spent the year trying different ideas across its phones, from the thin and durable Magic V6 foldable to the camera-focused Magic 8 Pro. Then there’s the Robot Phone, which takes a much bigger swing with a built-in gimbal that physically moves the camera to track subjects. Honor first showed the Robot Phone at MWC 2026 before officially launching it in August.

That makes the lineup more interesting than a simple list of newer and older models. Some phones focus on cameras, others on battery life or durability, while the Robot Phone is basically an experiment in what a smartphone camera can become. Here are the Honor phones worth considering in 2026 and what each one does best.

Best Overall

The Magic 8 Pro runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with a 6.71-inch LTPO OLED display at 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. The phone has a claimed peak HDR brightness of 6,000 nits — among the brighter panels on any phone.

What makes it worth picking is its zoom range. It has a 200MP telephoto sensor at 1/1.4-inch, offering 3.7x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. The global version carries a 7,100mAh silicon-carbon battery with 100W wired and 80W wireless charging, while the European model has a 6270mAh with the same charging specs. The phone also carries IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for dust and water resistance.

Best Foldable

The Magic V6 is built around durability claims that go further than most foldables on the market. Honor coated the outer display with 5,600 layers of silicon nitride, which the company says improves scratch resistance by three times over its previous design, and the phone is also the first foldable to earn both IP68 and IP69 ingress protection ratings.

The inner crease is also less pronounced this year, reduced by 44% compared to the Magic V5, according to Honor. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, and the inner display reaches 5,000 nits of peak brightness while the outer screen hits 6,000 nits. 

It runs on a 7,150mAh battery in China, one of the largest of any foldable currently sold. You can get it for £1999.99 for the 16GB/512GB model in the UK.

Best Mid-Range

The Honor 600 Pro replaced the 400 Pro this year and pushed the camera’s zoom range considerably further in the process. Quick note: the Honor 500 Pro didn’t launch globally.

It features a 6.57-inch AMOLED display at 2728×1264 resolution with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 8,000 nits of peak brightness, running on the Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset.

The camera is the real draw here. It has a 200MP main sensor with a 1/1.4-inch sensor paired with a 50MP telephoto lens offering up to 120x zoom, well beyond what most mid-range phones attempt, while the standard Honor 600 tops out around 30x. 

The phone ships with a 7000mAh battery, 80W wired charging, and carries IP68/IP69K ratings. It is priced around $929.

Best Budget

The X80i replaced the X70 as Honor’s current mid-tier X-series pick, and it swaps the X70’s battery-first approach for a stronger focus on display quality and durability. It features a 6.6-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution, a 120Hz refresh rate, and up to 6,500 nits of peak brightness, numbers that are unusually high for a phone in this price bracket.

It runs on the Dimensity 6500 Elite chipset and carries SGS Gold Label five-star drop-resistance certification, with Honor claiming it can survive drops from up to 1.8 meters, along with IP66 dust and water resistance. Pricing in China starts at 1,999 yuan (~ $300).

Most Unique

Nothing else on this list, or really anywhere else on the market, does what the Robot Phone does. It houses a four-degree-of-freedom titanium alloy gimbal that stays hidden inside the chassis and extends in 0.8 seconds when the camera activates, then rotates a full 360 degrees to track a moving subject automatically, essentially building a miniature camera stabilizer rig directly into the phone. Honor built it in partnership with ARRI, the German cinema equipment maker, adding Log-C video recording and professional LUT color grading tools that are normally reserved for dedicated film cameras.

The camera setup includes a 200MP main sensor mounted on that gimbal, a 50MP ultrawide, and a 200MP periscope telephoto, all running through Honor’s in-house Yuguang H1 imaging chip. It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 with a 6.31-inch LTPO display reaching 6,800 nits of peak brightness, and a 7,060mAh battery with 120W charging. 

It starts at 9,999 yuan in China, around $1,480, for the 12GB/512GB model. Honor has confirmed there’s no global version planned for this first generation, so buying one currently means importing from China.

Which Honor Phone Should You Buy?

The Magic8 Pro makes the most sense if you want the longest zoom range and the biggest battery in Honor’s current flagship lineup. The Magic V6 is a better fit if durability is a priority in a foldable. 

For a mid-range option, the Honor 600 Pro offers long-range zoom and a large battery without the price of an Ultra flagship. The Honor X80i is worth considering if you care more about display quality and drop protection on a budget. And if you want something completely different, the Robot Phone’s moving gimbal camera makes it the most unusual phone in Honor’s lineup.

You can use the dedicated AI Key to access tools such as notification summaries, meeting transcription, image creation, and screen-based recommendations. You should choose the Motorola Edge if you want a premium feature set at a lower price.

Moto G (2026)

You can choose the Moto G (2026) if you want a reliable 5G phone for less than $200. It costs $199.99 and features a 6.7-inch HD+ LCD with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of brightness.

You get the MediaTek Dimensity 6300 processor, 4GB of RAM, and up to 256GB of storage. You can increase the storage capacity by up to 1TB with a microSD card.

The rear camera system includes a 50MP main camera and a 2MP macro camera. You also get a 32MP front camera, stereo speakers, Dolby Atmos, a 3.5mm headphone jack, NFC, and eSIM support.

The 5200mAh battery supports 30W fast charging. You also get a vegan leather finish, although the IP52 rating provides less protection than the Motorola Edge or Moto G Power.

Moto G Power (2026)

The Moto G Power (2026) costs $299.99 and provides a larger FHD+ display, more memory, and stronger durability than the standard Moto G. Its 6.8-inch LCD supports a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1000 nits of brightness.

The phone uses the Dimensity 6300 processor with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Its cameras include a 50MP main sensor with OIS, an 8MP ultrawide camera, and a 32MP front camera.

Oppo has had a busy 2026 so far, with new phones across almost every price range. The company also expanded its flagship Find X9 Ultra to the global market for the first time.

It also launched the Find N6 foldable with what it calls “Zero-Free Crease”. Below that, Oppo announced the Reno 16 series to cover the mid-range segment, while the A-series remains an option for a tighter budget.

There has also been some change elsewhere in Oppo’s corporate family. Realme has shifted its focus almost entirely to markets outside China, while OnePlus has pulled back from launching new phones in Europe and North America. Oppo itself has continued with its regular phone lineup.

So, whether you’re looking for a flagship camera phone, a foldable, a mid-range device, or something affordable, these are the best Oppo phones to consider in 2026.

Best Overall

The Oppo Find X9 Pro is the best all-round phone in the company’s current lineup. It brings much of Oppo’s high-end camera technology to a phone that costs less than the top-end Ultra model. 

What actually sets this phone apart is the camera system, and specifically the telephoto. The 200MP Hasselblad telephoto camera uses a Samsung ISOCELL HP5 sensor at 1/1.56 inches, one of the larger telephoto sensors on any phone, paired with an f/2.1 aperture and a close-focusing distance of just 10cm for macro shots. 

Oppo and Hasselblad also built a detachable telephoto extender lens that clips onto the phone. It increases zoom range by 3x to roughly 9.6x-10x, or a 230mm equivalent focal length.

Rounding out the rear camera array is a 50MP main sensor and 50MP ultrawide, plus a dedicated 2MP True Color camera that reads ambient light separately across the frame for more accurate skin tones and white balance. 

You get a 6.78-inch LTPO OLED display on the front with a 120Hz refresh rate. Powering it is a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chipset and a large 7,500mAh battery. The latter supports 80W wired and 50W wireless charging.

Oppo launched the Find X9 Pro globally in April 2026 alongside the Find X9 Ultra. This was also the first time the company brought this level of flagship hardware to international markets as part of the same launch.

Best for Cameras

If cameras are your main priority, the Find X9 Ultra is the Oppo phone to get. It takes the camera setup even further than the Pro model and is built for users who want some of the most capable smartphone photography hardware available.

It runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display at 144Hz and 3,600 nits of peak brightness, and a 7,050mAh Silicon-Carbon battery with 100W wired and 50W wireless charging.

The special part is the camera array: a dual 200MP setup, a 200MP main sensor and a 200MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, both stabilized, alongside a 50MP ultrawide and a separate 50MP periscope telephoto capable of up to 10x optical zoom and 120x digital zoom. That’s four distinct focal lengths built into the Hasselblad Master Camera System, letting the phone shoot true optical zoom at two different ranges instead of relying on digital cropping for the longer one. The phone carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Oppo’s newest foldable focuses on solving one of the format’s most persistent complaints: the crease. The Find N6 uses what Oppo calls Zero-Feel Crease technology, a titanium alloy hinge paired with a memory glass layer that keeps the inner display flatter even after repeated folding. It carries an 8.12-inch QXGA+ foldable OLED inner screen and a 6.62-inch AMOLED outer display, both supporting 1-120Hz adaptive refresh rates and 240Hz touch sampling, with both panels TÜV Rheinland certified for eye protection.

The phone runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage, and packs a 6,000mAh battery with 80W wired charging. The rear camera system includes a 200MP main sensor, a periscope telephoto, an ultrawide, and a multispectral sensor for more accurate color reproduction. It also supports an optional AI Pen stylus and a multi-window mode that runs up to four apps at once, aimed squarely at productivity rather than just media consumption.

If a flatter foldable display is the specific thing that’s kept you from buying into the format before, this is the phone built to address exactly that.

Best Value

The Reno 16 Pro carries flagship-adjacent hardware into Oppo’s mid-range lineup. It features a 6.78-inch AMOLED display at 120Hz with HDR10+ support and 1,800 nits of peak brightness, running on the MediaTek Dimensity 9500s chipset with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

The camera setup includes a 200MP Sony IMX890 main sensor with optical image stabilization, paired with a 50MP periscope telephoto offering 3.5x optical zoom and a 50MP ultrawide. 

The Reno 16 Pro has a 7,000mAh battery with 80W wired and 50W wireless charging. Oppo also launched an accessory alongside the phone called the Oppo Bubble Mag E-Badge, a small magnetic display that clips to the back of the phone, shows a live preview from the rear camera for framing selfies, and doubles as a remote shutter from up to 10 meters away.

Best Budget

Oppo’s A-series covers the budget end of the lineup, and the A6x 5G is the latest entry for buyers who just need a reliable phone without spending much. It’s built around a 6.75-inch LCD panel with a 120Hz refresh rate and 240Hz touch sampling, running on MediaTek’s Dimensity 6300 chipset paired with a Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.

The centerpiece is a 6,500mAh battery with 45W wired charging, which Oppo markets as one of the largest in its price segment. The A6x has basic camera hardware, though. You get a 13MP main sensor on the back and a 5MP front camera.

Which Oppo Phone Should You Buy?

The Find X9 Pro is the best choice for most people. It gives you flagship performance, strong cameras, a large battery, and fast charging without reaching the price of the Ultra model. 

If camera quality is your top priority, get the Find X9 Ultra. Its dual 200MP camera setup and 10x optical zoom make it Oppo’s most capable camera phone. But if you want a foldable, the Find N6 is the obvious choice. 

For a mid-range phone, the Reno 16 Pro offers the best balance of cameras, performance, display quality, and battery life. And if you’re simply looking for the cheapest Oppo phone worth buying, the A6x 5G covers the basics without asking you to spend much.

The word “Power” means something different on the Poco M8 Power. Instead of chasing benchmark scores or adding high-end hardware, Poco has taken a simpler route: put an 8,000mAh battery inside the phone and build the rest of the experience around it. That gives the M8 Power one of the biggest batteries you can get in this segment, along with a large 6.99-inch AMOLED display and a surprisingly long software support commitment.

The trade-offs become apparent elsewhere. The Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is firmly an entry-level chipset, charging is not particularly fast for a battery this large, the cameras are merely adequate, and there is only a single speaker. After spending time with the Blaze Orange version, the M8 Power comes across as a phone that knows exactly what it wants to be — but whether that makes it a good buy depends heavily on your priorities.

The Blaze Orange finish makes the M8 Power stand out

The Poco M8 Power’s Blaze Orange variant is easily the most attention-grabbing of the three color options. The large camera island adds to that effect, although the overall design remains fairly straightforward. The rear panel and frame are plastic, but the phone doesn’t feel cheap or poorly assembled. The matte finish also does a good job of keeping fingerprints under control.

At 8.45mm thick and 225 grams, the M8 Power is neither small nor light. The weight is noticeable, particularly during prolonged one-handed use, although the distribution is good enough that it doesn’t feel excessively top-heavy. The flat frame also provides a secure grip.

The large dimensions can take some getting used to. Reaching the upper part of the display requires some hand movement, and the phone’s size is something smaller-phone users will notice immediately.

The power and volume buttons sit on the right, while the bottom houses the USB-C port, primary microphone and speaker. An IR blaster is located at the top, and the phone carries an IP65 rating along with Gorilla Glass 7i protection.

For a phone built around an 8,000mAh cell, keeping the thickness below 8.5mm is a reasonable achievement.

The AMOLED display is arguably the M8 Power’s second-biggest strength

The 6.99-inch FHD+ AMOLED panel is one of the more appealing parts of the M8 Power. The 120Hz refresh rate makes scrolling and everyday navigation feel smooth, while the AMOLED panel delivers deep blacks and punchy colors.

The display can reach up to 1,800 nits of peak brightness, and outdoor visibility is generally good. The 120Hz mode can switch between 60Hz, 90Hz and 120Hz, while touch sampling reaches 240Hz normally and can go as high as 2,160Hz in Game Turbo mode.

Poco also includes 960Hz PWM dimming, eye-care certification, DCI-P3 coverage, Wet Touch 2.0 and Sunlight Display. One useful inclusion is the option for DC dimming, particularly for users who are sensitive to PWM flicker.

There are some obvious limitations. HDR playback isn’t supported, and the chipset also limits video playback to below 4K. For regular streaming, however, Widevine L1 certification means services such as Netflix and Prime Video can still be enjoyed in Full HD.

The biggest disappointment for multimedia is the audio. The phone has only a single bottom-firing speaker. It gets sufficiently loud, but the lack of stereo separation is noticeable when watching videos or playing games.

Performance is where the battery-first approach becomes obvious

The Snapdragon 4 Gen 4 is the clearest indication that Poco wasn’t trying to make the M8 Power a performance phone. The 4nm chipset handles messaging, social media, browsing and streaming without major problems, but it doesn’t have much headroom once workloads become demanding.

The 8GB RAM configuration helps with everyday multitasking, although heavier usage can result in apps and browser tabs being reloaded. There can also be occasional UI stutters, which makes the phone feel less consistently smooth than its 120Hz display initially suggests.

Gaming is possible, but expectations need to be realistic. Lightweight games run comfortably, while BGMI and Call of Duty: Mobile are better suited to lower graphics settings. More demanding titles such as Genshin Impact are outside the phone’s comfort zone.

The good news is thermals. The 10,416mm² graphite cooling system does a good job of keeping temperatures under control, and the phone doesn’t become uncomfortably hot during normal gaming or sustained everyday use.

In other words, the M8 Power is perfectly usable, but performance isn’t the reason to buy it.

The 8,000mAh battery is exactly what the name promises

This is where the M8 Power earns its name. The 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery is enormous for a phone of this class, and it translates into genuinely strong endurance.

Depending on usage, the phone can comfortably last beyond a full day of heavy use, while lighter users can stretch it to two days or potentially more. Around 8–10 hours of screen-on time is realistic under mixed usage, making battery anxiety almost a non-issue.

Prices start at around 7,499 yuan, or roughly $1,038. However, Huawei does not officially sell the Pura X outside China, so buyers in other markets would need to import it. If you want a foldable phone that looks different from the usual clamshells, the Pura X is the most interesting option here.

Motorola Razr 70

The standard Motorola Razr 70 keeps much of the same design as the Ultra but costs less. The base model with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage starts at €869 in Europe.

It also has a 3.6-inch cover display, while the inner screen is 6.9 inches. As expected, Motorola cuts back on some of the performance and camera hardware compared with the Ultra model.

Still, you get the same basic clamshell design, a large cover screen, a folding inner display, and Motorola’s software experience for considerably less money.

If you want a flip phone from a major brand without spending flagship-level money, the Razr 70 is the best-value option on this list.

Samsung Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

The OnePlus Pad 4 is built around the idea that a tablet can be a laptop replacement without costing as much as one. Its 13.2-inch LCD has a 3.4K resolution, a refresh rate of up to 144Hz, Dolby Vision support, and peak brightness of 1,000 nits.

Under the hood is Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, so there’s plenty of power for gaming and multitasking. But the battery is arguably the bigger selling point. The tablet packs a huge 13,380mAh battery and supports 80W fast charging.

Those are flagship-level numbers, especially for a tablet this thin.

The tablet is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chip and comes with up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. It also has a 10,100mAh battery with 66W fast charging, which is impressive considering how little space Honor had to work with inside that 4.8mm body.

The laptop supports 32GB of LPDDR5X-9600 memory and a 2TB PCIe Gen4 SSD. It also includes a 75Wh battery, a 5MP IR webcam, quad speakers with Dolby Atmos, Wi-Fi 7, and a haptic Force Pad touchpad.

HP OmniBook Ultra 14

The HP OmniBook Ultra 14 stands out because HP offers both Intel and Qualcomm versions. The Intel systems use the Core Ultra 7 356H or Core Ultra X9 388H, while the Snapdragon systems use Qualcomm’s Snapdragon X2 Plus X2P-64-100 or Snapdragon X2 Elite X2E-84-100 processors. The Snapdragon models can provide up to 80 TOPS of NPU performance for AI workloads.

That distinction matters for people who want to use more Copilot+ features and local AI applications. The Intel versions will offer better compatibility for some traditional Windows software and graphics-heavy workloads. The Qualcomm versions will deliver stronger efficiency and AI acceleration.

HP offers a 14-inch 3K OLED touchscreen with a 2880 x 1800 resolution, a 30Hz to 120Hz variable refresh rate, 100% DCI-P3 coverage, and up to 1,100 nits of HDR brightness. It also offers a 2.2K IPS touchscreen as well.

The OmniBook Ultra 14 includes a 5MP IR camera with a physical privacy shutter, a fingerprint reader, quad Poly Studio speakers, Wi-Fi 7, and a haptic glass touchpad. It has three Thunderbolt 4 ports and a headphone jack. The battery capacity reaches 70Wh on Intel versions and 68Wh on Snapdragon versions.

The laptop weighs between about 1.45kg and 1.57kg. It is not the lightest option here, but it provides a solid mix of performance, display quality, security, and AI hardware.

Asus Zenbook A16

The Asus Zenbook A16 is a strong option for people who want the workspace of a 16-inch laptop without the usual size and weight. Depending on the configuration, it weighs as little as 1.10kg (2.43 pounds) and measures 13.8mm at its thinnest point.

It is available with several Qualcomm processors, including the Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme X2E-96-100, Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme X2E-94-100, Snapdragon X Plus X1P 42 100, and Snapdragon X X1 26 100. The higher-end Snapdragon X2 Elite Extreme models feature 18 cores, up to 48GB of LPDDR5X memory, and Qualcomm’s Hexagon NPU with up to 80 TOPS of AI performance. Lower-tier configurations support up to 45 TOPS.

The Zenbook A16 offers several OLED display options. The best configuration features a 16-inch 3K (2880 x 1800) OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, touchscreen support, 100% DCI-P3 color coverage, and up to 1,100 nits of HDR peak brightness. It also meets VESA DisplayHDR True Black 1000 standards. More affordable versions use either a non-touch 3K 120Hz OLED panel or a WUXGA OLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate.

Despite its thin design, the Zenbook A16 has a useful range of ports. It includes two USB4 Type-C ports with DisplayPort and Power Delivery support, one USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A port, HDMI 2.1, an SD 4.0 card reader, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. This makes it a more convenient choice than many ultraportables for photographers, creators, and users who connect external storage, displays, or memory cards.

Additionally, the laptop includes up to a 1TB PCIe 4.0 SSD, Wi-Fi 7 on higher-end models, an FHD IR camera for Windows Hello sign-in, a backlit keyboard with a Copilot key, a 70Wh battery, and a 130W USB-C charger on top configurations.

Asus ExpertBook Ultra

The Asus ExpertBook Ultra is a premium business laptop with serious security features. It starts at 0.99kg, or 2.18 pounds, but it includes more ports than most ultralight systems. Asus includes two Thunderbolt 4 ports, two USB-A ports, HDMI 2.1, and a headphone jack.

The laptop runs Windows 11 Pro on many configurations and supports Microsoft Pluton, TPM 2.0, BIOS self-recovery, fingerprint authentication, and a webcam privacy shutter. Asus also lists NIST SP 800-193 compliance and MIL-STD-810H durability testing. These features matter for companies that need stronger endpoint security and easier device management.

The ExpertBook Ultra supports Intel Core Ultra 5 325, Core Ultra 7 356H, Core Ultra X7 358H, and the top-tier Core Ultra X9 388H with vPro. It supports up to 64GB of LPDDR5X memory and a 2TB PCIe Gen5 SSD. The argument about flagship phones, or which is truly the best, has always been the same every year. Which one has the best camera? Which one lasts the longest? And, perhaps most importantly, which phone actually gives you a reason to upgrade?

The questions are the same in 2026, but there’s a new problem sitting around this year. Memory prices have gone up sharply, and so have the prices of smartphones. Xiaomi flat-out said that higher component has pushed the 17 Ultra price, while Samsung has reportedly been dealing with higher RAM costs from its own chip business.

You might expect that to make phone makers play it safe. And they likely will with all the flagships coming in September and beyond. For the time being, though, the top-end hardware is still priced relatively well, while offering the best of what they can.

So, if you’re already thinking about spending flagship money today, here are the best flagship phones that you can buy right now.

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

Samsung is known for playing it safe with its flagship phones, and the Galaxy S26 Ultra is no exception. It is built around the same formula we’ve seen in the previous Galaxy Ultras, but that’s not to say nothing is new here. 

It starts at $1,299.99 and gives you a huge 6.9-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate. There’s Gorilla Armor 2 on top, but the more interesting addition this year is Samsung’s Privacy Display.

The idea around privacy on a phone’s screen isn’t new. We’ve had privacy-focused tempered glass for years, but Samsung decided to ship it on the phone itself. And that too with exclusive customizations.

Samsung’s privacy screen changes the way the pixels work so the screen becomes much harder to see from the side while staying clear when you’re looking straight at it.

It’s one of those features that sounds like a gimmick until you actually use it. What’s more impressive is that you can even hide a part of the screen, like the notification island or messages.

The S26 Ultra also gets a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip made specifically for Galaxy phones. Samsung finally increased wired charging to 60W as well, which is a welcome change after years of sticking with 45W.

The battery, however, is still 5,000mAh. That’s the one area where Samsung hasn’t really kept up with some of its Chinese rivals, which are now putting 6,000mAh and even larger batteries into their flagships.

Still, the S26 Ultra is difficult to fault as an overall package. You get the 200MP main camera, multiple zoom options, the S Pen, Samsung DeX, a polished version of Android, and years of software support.

It may not be the most exciting phone in every category, but that’s exactly why it’s such an easy recommendation. It does almost everything well.

Oppo Find X9 Ultra

Oppo has been working with Hasselblad for a while now, but the Find X9 Ultra feels like the point where the partnership really starts to show.

This is also the first time Oppo has brought its Ultra flagship to global markets, and it has gone all-in on the cameras. There’s a 200MP main camera, a 200MP periscope telephoto, another 50MP periscope camera, and a 50MP ultrawide.

Yes, that’s a lot of megapixels. But the interesting part isn’t really the numbers. Oppo has worked the cameras into its Hasselblad Master Camera System, aiming for a more consistent look across the different lenses.

The rest of the phone doesn’t exactly feel like an afterthought either. There’s a 6.82-inch LTPO AMOLED display running at 120Hz, while a massive 7,050mAh battery handles the power requirements. And when you finally do need to charge it, 100W wired charging gets the job done quickly.

The biggest question is whether you like ColorOS. It’s perfectly capable, but it can feel a little busier than the software on a Pixel or even a Samsung phone.

Then there’s the $1,499 starting price, which is a lot of money, but we also can’t factor out what it is offering in terms of hardware.

Xiaomi 17 Ultra

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra is another pick for camera nerds. Its main camera uses a 1-inch OmniVision sensor with LOFIC technology. It is designed to handle a wider range of brightness in difficult scenes. The 200MP periscope telephoto camera, developed with Leica as part of the companies’ deeper partnership, is another highlight here.

And this isn’t just a case of putting a Leica logo on the back. Leica has been involved in the camera’s development much earlier this time, including the design stage.

You can see where Xiaomi is going with this. The phone should be particularly good when you’re shooting after dark, zooming in on something far away, or dealing with scenes where the lighting is all over the place.

The hardware outside the cameras is flagship-grade too. There’s a Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, and a 6,800mAh battery. Charging is rated at 90W wired and 80W wireless. It’s available in the UK for £1,299.

So, should you buy it? If taking photos is one of the main reasons you’re upgrading, absolutely. If you’re more interested in software, gaming, or the overall ecosystem, there are better choices here.

Google Pixel 11 Pro XL

The Pixel 11 Pro XL is Google’s newest flagship in the market. And unlike other options in this list, it’s not big on camera megapixels or processing power. Pixel phones have mostly been known for software polish and tricks, and the 11 Pro XL is just that. 

The phone starts at $1,299 for 256GB and comes with a 6.8-inch QHD+ AMOLED display that can reach 3,600 nits of peak brightness.

Inside is Google’s Tensor G6 chip, along with a Titan M3 security chip. The camera setup includes a 50MP main camera, 48MP ultrawide, and 48MP telephoto with 5x optical zoom.

As usual with a Pixel, the camera experience isn’t just about the hardware. Google’s image processing does a lot of the work, which is why Pixel phones can often produce great photos without asking you to think too much about the settings.

A novel camera feature this year is Magic Capture. It lets you record videos as you usually do, but once you’re finished, the phone presents you with candid images from those past moments. Google is using AI to refine photos, but it’s still a neat trick for everyone who struggles with poses in normal shoots. 

There is one slightly strange change this year. The Pro XL now starts with 12GB of RAM, down from 16GB on last year’s model. That’s not something most people are going to notice in everyday use, but it does show just how much rising memory costs are affecting flagship phones.

What hasn’t changed is Google’s seven-year software support. The Pixel 11 Pro XL is probably the easiest phone on this list to recommend to someone who just wants Android to stay out of the way and work.

iPhone 17 Pro Max

If you’re already deep into Apple’s ecosystem, you probably don’t need much convincing about the iPhone 17 Pro Max. It’s still the phone Apple wants you to buy when money isn’t the main concern.

The 17 Pro Max starts at $1,199 for 256GB and comes with a redesigned aluminum unibody, a vapor chamber for better cooling, and Apple’s A19 Pro chip.

The 6.9-inch Super Retina XDR OLED display runs at up to 120Hz with ProMotion and can reach 3,000 nits outdoors. Apple has also added Ceramic Shield 2 and its new N1 wireless chip, along with Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.

The camera setup has three 48MP cameras covering the main, ultrawide, and telephoto ranges, with up to 8x zoom. Apple also claims up to 39 hours of video playback, which should make this one of the better options here for heavy users.

Charging has finally become a little less painful too. With Apple’s new 40W adapter, the phone can reach 50% in around 20 minutes.

Of course, the biggest reason to buy the iPhone 17 Pro Max isn’t any single specification. It’s the ecosystem. If you have a Mac, Apple Watch, AirPods, or other Apple devices, everything simply works together.

The $1,199 starting price is still a lot, but if you’re already invested in Apple, the Pro Max is the obvious choice.

Which One Should You Actually Buy?

Here’s the simple version. The Galaxy S26 Ultra is the one I’d recommend if you don’t have a specific weakness or preference. It’s the complete package, and features like the S Pen and DeX give it things the competition doesn’t really match.

The Oppo Find X9 Ultra is where I’d look first if the camera is the whole reason you’re upgrading. It isn’t cheap, but Oppo has clearly put a lot of work into making this a serious camera phone.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra makes more sense if you’re particularly interested in zoom and night photography. Its camera hardware is hard to ignore, although availability could be an issue depending on where you live.

The Pixel 11 Pro XL is the easy choice for people who value clean software and long-term support. It’s also probably the least intimidating phone here if you just want something that works without a lot of tinkering.

And then there’s the iPhone 17 Pro Max. If you’re already using Apple products, there’s little reason to look elsewhere unless you specifically want Android.

Flagship phones have gotten expensive, and there’s no getting around that. In previous years, at least the price hikes came with real hardware improvements. The upcoming flagships are set to become more expensive, and AI is to blame. So if you’re thinking of getting a new flagship phone, it’s best not to wait. Rather, know your requirements and get the one that’s best for you.

This is a script we write every year — listing the best mid-range smartphones you can buy. And there’s a reason we come back to it every year. Mid-range has always been the segment where brands trickle down flagship features, performance, and design choices into something that covers what most people actually need day to day, without a hefty price tag. 

This year, though, the story’s a little different. Our usual pattern is to find out the phones that are aggressively priced and offer the best bang for the buck. But 2026 threw a wrench into that formula. 

The global memory chip shortage, driven largely by AI data centers hoovering up DRAM and NAND supply, has pushed component costs up across the board, and mid-range devices have taken a real hit. Samsung reportedly pushed for as much as a 100% price hike on LPDDR5X memory, and brands everywhere from India to Europe have quietly raised prices on phones that used to sit comfortably under $500. 

So this year, mid-range stretches a bit further up the price ladder than it used to, and some of the phones below cost more than you might expect for the category. What hasn’t changed, fortunately, is the value proposition. You can still expect bright OLED screens, big batteries, and reliable cameras. 

Here are the five best mid-range phones you can get in 2026.  

Google Pixel 10a

You know the Pixel formula by now, and Google didn’t mess with it much this year. The Pixel 10a starts at $499 and offers a 6.3-inch OLED display running at 120Hz with a Tensor G4 chip, 8GB of RAM, and a 5,100mAh battery. 

The camera setup keeps the same 48MP main sensor and 13MP ultrawide from last year’s model, and you also get a loyal seven years of OS and security update promise. The brand also launched the Pixel 10a with recycled cobalt, copper, gold, and tungsten making up more than a third of the phone’s weight.

Nothing here will wow you in a spec sheet comparison, and the design is basically a repeat of the 9a. But if you want a phone you can buy once and stop thinking about for years, this is it.

Nothing Phone (4a) Pro

Nothing has never been shy about wanting its phones to look different, and the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is no exception. It swaps the brand’s usual plastic build for an aluminum unibody frame, adds a 6.83-inch AMOLED display that hits 144Hz, and carries over the circular Glyph Matrix from the pricier Phone (3), scaled down to 137 individually addressable LEDs on the back. 

Under the hood, it is powered by a Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chip with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. Nothing is asking $499 for all this. 

The camera experience isn’t as consistently impressive as what you get from Google’s Pixel lineup, and battery life isn’t its strongest point either. Still, if you care about having a phone that feels a little less generic, the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is an easy one to recommend.

Samsung Galaxy A57 5G

Samsung’s Galaxy A series has quietly become one of the strongest choices in the mid-range segment, and the Galaxy A57 continues that trend.

The A57 stands out because it feels more expensive than it actually is. Samsung has given it a slim design and a premium-looking glass-and-metal build, while also improving the hardware over the previous-generation A56.

It has a 6.7-inch Super AMOLED Plus display at 120Hz, a 5,000mAh battery with 45W charging, IP68 water and dust resistance, and a 50MP main camera backed by a 12MP ultrawide and 5MP macro lens. 

It is a particularly good choice if you already use Samsung devices. One UI makes you right at home, Samsung’s ecosystem is easy to work with, and the company is offering six years of OS upgrades and security patches. A recent teardown even scored the Galaxy A57 highly for repairability.

The downside is that it isn’t the most exciting phone for gaming. If raw performance is your priority, there are better options in this list.

Motorola Edge 70 Fusion

Motorola’s Edge Fusion lineup has always been about finding the sweet spot between price and features, and the Edge 70 Fusion is just that. It gives you enough hardware that you won’t feel like you’re settling.

The phone packs a 6.7-inch pOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, 5200 nits peak brightness, a Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 chip, and a large 5,200mAh battery with 68W fast charging. The camera setup is led by a 50MP main sensor with optical image stabilization, joined by a 13MP ultrawide camera.

Motorola also keeps the Edge 70 Fusion relatively slim and light, and it also has an IP68 rating for dust and water resistance. Its main weakness is software support. 

Motorola has improved in this area, but it still doesn’t match Google’s seven-year commitment or Samsung’s six years of updates. Still, it’s an option you can consider if you want a good screen and battery life for entertainment. 

OnePlus Nord 6

If the Pixel 10a is the sensible choice and the Nothing Phone (4a) Pro is the one you buy with your heart, the OnePlus Nord 6 is the phone for people who just want things to be fast.

It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 chipset, paired with up to 12GB of RAM, giving it considerably more performance headroom than most phones in this price range. 

The phone also has a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 165Hz refresh rate, while its 9000mAh battery gives it plenty of endurance. OnePlus supports that battery with 80W fast charging, so even when you do run it down, you don’t have to leave it plugged in for long.

The camera system isn’t the main reason to buy the Nord 6, and its design isn’t as distinctive as Nothing’s either. But that’s fine. OnePlus wants you to spend the money on performance and battery with the Nord 6.

The biggest catch with buying a OnePlus phone in 2026 comes down to availability. Since OnePlus has pulled out of almost every international market except India, the Nord 6 is really only a practical choice if you live there.

Its strengths are familiar: continuous heart-rate tracking, sleep monitoring, workout recording, GPS, stress data, blood-oxygen readings, and Samsung’s BioActive sensor platform. But Samsung is leaning harder into interpretation, not just measurement. Features such as Heart Health Score, Daily Cardio Load, Fitness Index, Vitals monitoring, and sleep-based health baselines attempt to turn a sprawling dashboard of numbers into something actionable.

The Watch 9 also offers a bright Super AMOLED display that can reach 3,000 nits, dual-frequency GPS, LTE options, NFC, and up to 32GB of storage. It runs Wear OS 7 with One UI 9 Watch, so it remains useful as an actual smartwatch rather than a fitness tracker with notification spam attached.

Its biggest weakness is battery life. The 44mm model has a 445mAh battery, while the 40mm uses a 390mAh cell, fine for a day or perhaps more, but not Garmin territory. Still, for general workouts, heart-rate tracking, sleep insights, and daily Android life, it is one of the most complete options.

Apple Watch Series 11

The Apple Watch Series 11 remains the default choice for iPhone users, and for good reason. It is not the longest-lasting watch here, nor the most rugged, but Apple’s health and safety software remains unusually polished.

This generation adds hypertension notifications, which use long-term optical heart-rate sensor data to look for consistent signs associated with chronic high blood pressure. It also introduces a Sleep Score, combining sleep duration, schedule consistency, awakenings, and sleep stages into one digestible rating. Neither feature replaces medical testing or a clinician, but both could be useful prompts to pay closer attention.

The Series 11 is available in 42mm and 46mm cases, with aluminum and titanium finishes. The aluminum model gets tougher Ion-X glass with a ceramic coating, while the titanium version uses sapphire crystal. Apple rates the battery for up to 24 hours of normal use and up to 38 hours in Low Power Mode. Fast charging can reach up to 80% in around 30 minutes.

Google Pixel Watch 5

The Google Pixel Watch 5 is for Android users who want their smartwatch to be more proactive. It combines fitness tracking with Google’s expanding Gemini AI features, contextual information, and Fitbit-inspired health tools.

The watch comes in 41mm and 45mm sizes and uses a bright 3,000-nit domed AMOLED display. Its dual-frequency GPS is designed to improve route accuracy in dense cities, wooded trails, and other areas where satellite signals can struggle. For runners, cyclists, and hikers, that can matter more than another dozen sports modes.

Fitness features include recovery recommendations based on sleep and heart-rate variability, improved sleep-stage detection, Smart Wake alarms, strength-training guidance, and customized workout plans. Google is also expanding the watch’s role in safety with Breathing Emergency Detection, which uses heart-rate, movement, and barometric data to identify severe oxygen-related emergencies and potentially contact emergency services if the wearer is unresponsive.

Battery life is better than on previous Pixel Watches. The 41mm model is rated for up to 30 hours with the always-on display enabled, while the larger 45mm version can last up to 40 hours

Garmin Venu 4

The Garmin Venu 4 is one of the best choices for people who see fitness tracking as the main event rather than a smartwatch side feature. It is available in 41mm and 45mm sizes and delivers up to 12 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, making it dramatically easier to wear continuously for sleep, recovery, and workout tracking.

Garmin’s health suite is particularly strong. The Venu 4 tracks heart rate, heart-rate variability, Pulse Ox, skin temperature, sleep stages, Body Battery, stress, women’s health metrics, and ECG. The important difference is that Garmin is good at connecting those measurements to training readiness. If sleep quality is poor or recovery is low, Garmin Fitness Coach can adapt workout recommendations rather than simply pushing you to close another activity ring.

The Venu 4 also includes GPS, onboard music, Garmin Pay, Bluetooth calling, smart notifications, a built-in flashlight, and safety-tracking functions. Its software is not as app-heavy as Apple’s or Google’s platforms, but athletes may not care. This is a watch designed for someone who wants reliable heart-rate trends, recovery data, workout plans, and battery life that does not turn every evening into a charging session.

Amazfit Balance 3

The Amazfit Balance 3 targets users who want advanced training metrics without paying flagship smartwatch prices. It features a 1.5-inch AMOLED display, sapphire glass, dual-band GPS, offline maps, Bluetooth calling, 64GB of storage, and up to 21 days of battery life on the titanium version.

The Zepp app uses that data to show whether a user should train hard, recover, or adjust their schedule. Weekly Focus and Training Balance tools also help users understand how their workouts are distributed across endurance, strength, and recovery.

The Balance 3 supports more than 180 sports modes. It can recognize 25 strength exercises and eight standard activity movements. It also supports external heart-rate straps, cycling sensors, and running power meters.

Amazfit has added HYROX-specific features, including workout tracking, race simulations, training plans, virtual pacing, and post-race performance analysis. The Balance 3 is a strong choice for runners, gym users, and hybrid athletes who want deeper fitness data and long battery life.

Xiaomi Watch 5

The Xiaomi Watch 5 offers a large battery, Wear OS 6, and a complete set of health and fitness tools. It uses a dual-chip design with a Snapdragon W5 Gen 1 processor and a BES2800 low-power chip. Xiaomi says the watch can last up to six days in regular smart mode and up to 18 days in power-saving mode.

The watch has a 930mAh silicon-carbon battery, a 1.54-inch AMOLED display, sapphire protection, dual-band GPS, NFC, ECG support, and continuous heart-rate and SpO2 monitoring. It also supports more than 150 sports modes and includes offline maps for outdoor training.

Google Gemini is available on the Xiaomi Watch 5, along with Google Wallet, Google Maps, Google Calendar, and the Google Play Store. The watch also supports Xiaomi HyperConnect for smart-home controls and connected-device features.

Xiaomi has also added gesture controls that use EMG, IMU, and PPG sensors. Users can pinch, rub, snap, shake, or rotate their wrist to control functions such as calls, alarms, workouts, camera controls, and media playback.

The Xiaomi Watch 5 is a good option for Android users who want Wear OS features without charging their smartwatch every day.

Amazfit Active 2

The Amazfit Active 2 delivers many key fitness features at a lower price than flagship smartwatches. It has a 1.32-inch AMOLED display, stainless-steel frame, GPS, Bluetooth calling, heart-rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, stress tracking, temperature sensing, and more than 160 workout modes.

The watch uses the BioTracker 6.0 PPG sensor and includes Zepp Coach training guidance. It can recognize strength-training movements, track running performance, provide virtual pacing, and estimate race achievements.

The Active 2 also offers readiness scores, sleep data, smartphone notifications, music controls, camera controls, and up to 10 days of typical battery life. The premium model includes sapphire glass for added display protection.

The Amazfit Active 2 is a sensible pick for users who want workout tracking, GPS, and heart-rate data without paying for premium smartwatch features they may not use.

Honor Watch 6

The Honor Watch 6 (full review) is built around an idea that many smartwatch owners will find refreshing: not charging every day. Its 980mAh silicon-carbon battery is rated for up to 35 days of use, making it one of the most endurance-focused watches in this group.

It includes over 120 workout modes, dual-band GPS, continuous heart-rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, stress measurements, sleep analysis, and body-energy estimates. Trail runners get climbing and route-deviation metrics through Honor’s AccuTrack GPS system, while sports such as badminton and football receive more specific performance data.

The 1.46-inch AMOLED display reaches up to 3,000 nits, which should make it easy to read stats during outdoor training. It also has IP69 water and dust resistance, 5ATM water resistance, Bluetooth calling, NFC support in select markets, and gesture controls for managing alarms, calls, and music.

The Honor Watch 6 is less focused on third-party apps than Apple, Google, or Samsung models. But if you prioritize a bright screen, fitness fundamentals, outdoor tracking, and exceptionally long battery life, it is a compelling alternative.

Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro

The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro (full review) focuses on outdoor training and health tracking in a slim, lightweight design. It has a large AMOLED display, built-in GPS, continuous heart-rate monitoring, sleep tracking, blood-oxygen measurements, wrist-temperature tracking, Bluetooth calling, and support for more than 100 workout modes.

Huawei adds several features for more serious activities. The Watch Fit 5 Pro supports trail-running navigation, golf-course maps, ECG alerts, and diving tracking to depths of 40 meters. These tools give it a broader fitness focus than a standard activity tracker, especially for users who run outdoors, play golf, or spend time in the water.

The watch also offers up to 10 days of battery life, which makes it easier to wear overnight for sleep tracking and for multi-day trips without packing a charger. The Huawei Watch Fit 5 Pro is a strong choice for users who want a lighter alternative to a traditional round smartwatch but still need GPS, health tracking, and outdoor sports features.

Oppo Watch X3

The Oppo Watch X3 combines Wear OS 6 with a dual-engine system that moves background tasks to a low-power RTOS platform. Oppo says the approach delivers up to five days of battery life in Smart Mode and up to 16 days in Power Saver Mode.

The smartwatch includes ECG support, continuous heart-rate monitoring, SpO2 tracking, HRV-based stress insights, sleep analysis, dual-band GPS, fall detection, Bluetooth calling, and more than 100 sports modes. It also supports Google apps and services through Wear OS, which gives users access to Google Wallet, Maps, notifications, and third-party apps.

Oppo uses a titanium case and sapphire display protection for a more premium design. The Watch X3 also carries IP69 protection and MIL-STD-810H durability certification. It is a strong option for Android users who want a full Wear OS smartwatch with detailed health tracking and better battery life than most mainstream rivals.

Compared to 2022 or, say, 2023, Samsung‘s tablet lineup is a lot less confusing now, and that’s a good thing. Instead of having several models that feel almost the same, the current lineup has only two flagship tablets, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra and the Galaxy Tab S11. 

Picking between the two mainly comes down to how big a screen you want, how portable you need the tablet to be, and how much you’re willing to spend. The two share the same Dimensity 9400+ chip, and many of the same features, but their sizes and a few key specs are quite different. And if neither fits your budget, Samsung’s Galaxy Tab S10 FE series offers a couple of cheaper alternatives worth considering. Here’s how they compare.

Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is Samsung’s biggest and most powerful tablet. It has a huge 14.6-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,600 nits of peak brightness. That makes the screen smooth, bright, and easy to see outdoors.

Despite the large display, Samsung has made the tablet just 5.1mm thick. That makes it the thinnest Galaxy Tab yet. Inside, the Tab S11 Ultra uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 9400+ chipset with up to 16GB of RAM. It has enough power for demanding tasks such as video editing in LumaFusion, drawing in Clip Studio Paint, and heavy multitasking.

The battery has also grown to 11,600mAh, up from 11,200mAh on the previous model. Samsung says it can deliver around 23 hours of video playback. Charging is limited to 45W, which isn’t especially fast for such a large battery.

The included S Pen has also been redesigned. It now has a hexagonal body and a cone-shaped tip, which should make it more comfortable to use for long writing and drawing sessions.

If you want a more laptop-like setup, Samsung also offers a Pro Keyboard accessory that connects through the Pogo Pin interface.

The Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra starts at $1,299.99 for the 256GB model and goes up to $1,899.99 for the 1TB version.

Galaxy Tab S11

Not everyone wants to carry around a 14.6-inch tablet. That’s where the standard Galaxy Tab S11 makes more sense. It has an 11-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display with a 120Hz refresh rate and uses the same Dimensity 9400+ chipset as the Ultra. You also get up to 12GB of RAM.

The tablet retains the same IP68 rating as the Ultra model. There are a few compromises, though. The battery is smaller at 8,400mAh, and the rear camera setup is much simpler. Instead of the Ultra’s ultra-wide camera, the Tab S11 has a single 13MP rear camera.

Aside from those differences, the experience is very similar. It runs One UI 8, supports the S Pen, and gets seven years of OS and security updates from Samsung. 

So if you don’t need a huge screen, the Tab S11 gives you most of the Ultra’s performance in a much smaller body. The Galaxy Tab S11 starts at $899.99 for the 128GB model.

Honorable mentions: Galaxy Tab S10 FE and FE+

If flagship pricing is out of the question, Samsung’s FE lineup is worth a look too. The Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ packs a 13.1-inch LCD at 90Hz with a 2880 x 1800 resolution, making it the largest screen on any non-Ultra Samsung tablet, while the standard Galaxy Tab S10 FE keeps things compact with a 10.9-inch panel at the same refresh rate. 

Both run Samsung’s own Exynos 1580 chip, come with an S Pen in the box, and carry an IP68 rating for water and dust resistance, so the core experience still feels close to the flagship line even with a step down in internals.

The FE+ even has a bigger battery than the vanilla S11 at 10,090mAh, while the smaller FE gets an 8,000mAh battery that’s still enough for a full day of typical use. Just know that Samsung’s update policy for the FE series wasn’t spelled out clearly at launch, though the company later confirmed seven years of coverage, matching what the S11 series launched with.

How to choose the right Galaxy Tab

The biggest differences between these four tablets are screen size and budget.

If you want the biggest and most powerful Samsung tablet available, the Galaxy Tab S11 Ultra is the obvious choice. It’s the best option for creators, designers, and people who want to use their tablet as a laptop replacement.

The Galaxy Tab S11 makes more sense if you want flagship performance but prefer something smaller and easier to carry. You still get the AMOLED display, powerful processor, S Pen support, IP68 protection, and long software support.

If screen size matters more than raw performance, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE+ offers a large 13.1-inch display at a much lower price. It’s a particularly good choice for students and anyone who mainly needs a tablet for entertainment, studying, and everyday tasks.

Finally, the Galaxy Tab S10 FE is the simplest choice for buyers on a tighter budget. It is smaller and less powerful than the S11 models, but it still includes the S Pen, a 90Hz display, IP68 protection, and a capable processor.

All four tablets support Samsung’s software features, including DeX and Galaxy AI, while the S11 series runs Android 16 with One UI 8. The FE models offer many of the same everyday features at a lower price. So, if you know how much screen you need and how much you’re willing to spend, choosing between these four tablets shouldn’t be a hassle.

Samsung HW-Q990H

The Samsung HW-Q990H is the all-in-one answer for someone who wants a full home-theater experience without assembling an intimidating rack of separate components. It is an 11.1.4-channel system with a main soundbar, wireless subwoofer, and wireless rear speakers included in the box. That means it has dedicated channels for front, side, rear, and overhead sound, not just virtual processing trying to convince you sound is behind your couch.

The headline features are exactly what you would expect from Samsung’s flagship: Dolby Atmos, DTS:X support through HDMI eARC, two HDMI inputs with 4K/120Hz passthrough, Adaptive Sound, Game Mode Pro, and room-tuning through SpaceFit Sound Pro. There is also Active Voice Amplifier Pro, which adjusts dialogue based on the noise in your room, an increasingly useful feature for households with loud air conditioners, pets, or people who somehow always start talking during the important scene.

For Samsung TV owners, Q-Symphony remains the biggest reason to buy. It lets compatible Samsung TVs and sound devices work together instead of muting the TV speakers once the soundbar is connected. The HW-Q990H can pair with compatible Samsung TVs and, depending on the TV generation and supporting devices, expand a Q-Symphony system with Music Frames or Music Studio speakers. At $1,699.99, it is expensive, but it includes the subwoofer and rear speakers that competitors often sell separately. For a buyer starting from nothing, that makes Samsung’s package particularly compelling.

JBL Bar 1300XMK2

The JBL Bar 1300XMK2 takes a clever approach to rear speakers: it makes them detachable. Pull the wireless speakers off either end of the soundbar, put them behind your seating position, and you have a proper surround setup without permanently running power cables to the rear of the room.

It is another ambitious 11.1.4-channel system, with six up-firing drivers across the bar and detachable speakers, a 12-inch wireless subwoofer, and a claimed 1,570 watts of maximum output. JBL also has a few genuinely practical tricks. The detachable rear speakers can become portable Bluetooth speakers, and its Broadcasting feature lets you carry one or both into another room while continuing to hear whatever is playing on TV. There is even a Night Listening mode that mutes the main soundbar and subwoofer so you can use the detached speakers for quieter, closer listening.

It is priced at $1,699.95 and lands directly against Samsung’s flagship. Choose it if you value a cleaner, more adaptable room setup and actually like the idea of portable surround speakers. Choose Samsung if Q-Symphony and a more deeply integrated Samsung ecosystem matter more.

Sonos Arc Ultra

The Sonos Arc Ultra is for buyers who want seriously upscale Atmos performance but do not want a subwoofer and rear speakers dominating the room on day one. Its major innovation is Sound Motion, a compact dual-membrane woofer system designed to create deeper bass without making the soundbar enormous.

The Arc Ultra supports a 9.1.4 spatial audio experience, uses 14 Sonos-engineered drivers, and includes Dolby Atmos, HDMI eARC, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay 2, Trueplay room tuning, and four levels of AI-powered Speech Enhancement. It is also exceptionally well positioned for expanding later: add a Sonos Sub and Era 300 rear speakers when you want a more complete surround system.

Sonos’ software remains a major selling point. Setup is straightforward, multiroom music is excellent, and the app offers useful tuning controls. The Arc Ultra can also swap TV audio to one or two Sonos Ace headphones.

At $1,099, it is not cheap for a soundbar alone. But it is arguably the most elegant route to premium sound for people who prioritize industrial design, music streaming, and easy whole-home expansion.

Harman Kardon Enchant 1100

The Harman Kardon Enchant 1100 is the choice for someone who wants a premium soundbar that looks as refined as it sounds. Its minimalist design hides an 11-driver setup with two up-firing channels, Dolby Atmos, DTS:X, MultiBeam processing, and PureVoice dialogue enhancement.

Unlike the Samsung and JBL systems, this is a standalone bar: no included subwoofer or rear speakers. That naturally limits its low-end impact and surround separation compared with a full package, but it also makes the Enchant 1100 far easier to place in a living room where clutter is unacceptable.

It supports HDMI eARC, one HDMI input, HDR10 and Dolby Vision passthrough, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, AirPlay, Chromecast, and Spotify Connect. At 45.2 inches wide, it is also a good fit for larger TVs without becoming visually overwhelming. It is priced at $999.95.

It lacks the channel count and included rear speakers of the Samsung or JBL packages, but Bose’s appeal is simplicity. It offers Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 5.3, AirPlay 2, Google Cast, Spotify Connect, Alexa, and app-based control in a polished package that looks at home almost anywhere.

Priced at $1,099, it is best for someone who wants richer, more cinematic TV audio without turning their living room into an equipment showcase.

TCL Q85H Q Class

The TCL Q85H Q Class is the value pick for buyers who want a complete Dolby Atmos system without spending flagship money. It is a 7.1.4-channel package with a main soundbar, wireless subwoofer, and wireless surround speakers. At $599.99 on sale, down from $899.99, it costs far less than the Samsung and JBL systems while still including the components needed for real surround sound.

The system supports Dolby Atmos and DTS:X, with up-firing speakers in the soundbar and wireless surrounds for height effects. TCL also includes a built-in center channel for dialogue, built-in tweeters for high-frequency detail, and Ray Danz technology with acoustic reflectors to widen the front soundstage.

The wireless subwoofer uses a 6.5-inch driver and Bass Boost technology. It will not deliver the same low-end output as JBL’s much larger 12-inch subwoofer, but it should offer a major improvement over a standalone soundbar. TCL lists up to 860 watts of total audio power.

TCL includes HDMI eARC, an HDMI input, digital optical audio, USB audio playback, Bluetooth 5.1, AirPlay 2, and the TCL Home app. The Q85H also supports TCL TV Ready and Roku TV Ready integration. Its AI Sonic Auto Room Calibration adjusts the system for the room, while preset modes cover standard, movie, music, voice, game, and sports listening.

Why would you want a mini PC you have to partially build yourself when Apple will hand you a finished one for $799? That’s the question hanging over the recently launched Minisforum MS-03, and honestly, the answer says a lot about what kind of computer person you are.

Minisforum launched the MS-03 as the follow-up to its MS-01, which quietly became a favorite among home lab tinkerers over the past couple of years. The MS-03 keeps the tiny footprint of its predecessor, but gives people who run Proxmox clusters and local AI models the memory, storage, and networking to actually do that comfortably.

Meanwhile, the Mac mini M4 is chasing something else entirely — it wants to be the computer you buy once and stop thinking about.

Both machines start around the same price. Both fit in one hand. Beyond that, they’re barely playing the same sport.

Price and what you get

The Minisforum MS-03 is sold as a barebones PC, starting at $759 with the Core Ultra 5 336H processor. The higher-end Core Ultra 9 386H version starts at $999.

The reason we mentioned barebone is that these prices don’t include RAM or storage. You have to buy and install those yourself. That means the final price can be quite a bit higher depending on how much memory and storage you want.

The Mac mini M4 is much simpler. The base model costs $799 and comes with 16GB of unified memory and 256GB of storage. Everything is already installed, so you can take it out of the box, plug it in, and start using it.

That’s one of the biggest advantages of the Mac mini. You don’t have to worry about finding compatible parts or opening the computer before you can use it.

The MS-03 offers much more room to upgrade

So why would anyone choose the more complicated MS-03?  The answer is expandability.

The higher-end MS-03 with the Core Ultra 9 386H can support up to 128GB of DDR5 memory running at up to 7,200 MT/s. It also has three M.2 slots for NVMe SSDs and a PCIe x16 slot that can support a low-profile GPU using up to 75W of power.

This makes the MS-03 particularly interesting for people who want to run home servers, Proxmox setups, local AI models, NAS systems, or other projects that need plenty of memory and storage.

The Mac mini M4 doesn’t even try to compete on that front, and it doesn’t need to. Apple’s M4 chip is more than powerful enough for everyday work, photo editing, and even video timelines without much strain. 

But there is very little room to upgrade it later. The RAM and internal storage you choose when buying the Mac mini are what you will have for the life of the computer. You can always add an external SSD for more storage, but you can’t open the Mac mini and add more memory later.

The Mac mini can run AI locally too

The Mac mini M4 shouldn’t be written off if local AI is part of the reason you’re buying a small desktop. Apple says the M4’s Neural Engine can run Apple Intelligence on the device, without sending everything to the cloud. The chip also has a 16-core Neural Engine and up to 32GB of unified memory, giving it plenty of hardware for many AI workloads.

But there’s an important difference between Apple’s approach and what the MS-03 is built for. Apple’s local AI focus is mainly tied to Apple Intelligence and optimized apps, while the MS-03 gives you the flexibility to install Linux, run local AI tools, add more RAM, use multiple SSDs, or even install a dedicated GPU.

Apple also says its system can use Private Cloud Compute for more complex requests, so not every AI task necessarily stays on the Mac itself. That makes the Mac mini a capable local AI machine, but not necessarily the better choice for someone who wants to experiment with different open-source models and build a dedicated local AI server.

That’s where the MS-03’s upgradeable hardware becomes more important. If you simply want AI features that work without much setup, the Mac mini is the easier option. But if you want to experiment, run different models, and keep upgrading the hardware as your AI needs grow, the MS-03 gives you much more freedom.

MS-03 pulls ahead in networking too

The biggest difference between the two computers may be their networking options. The MS-03 comes with two 10Gbps SFP+ ports, a 10Gbps Ethernet port, a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port, two USB4 ports, and Wi-Fi 7.

For a normal desktop, that’s probably more networking than most people will ever need. But for a home lab or server, it can be extremely useful. 

Meanwhile, the Mac mini M4 is much simpler. The base model comes with Gigabit Ethernet, while 10Gbps Ethernet is available as an upgrade. It also has Thunderbolt, HDMI, and Wi-Fi 6E. 

For normal home and office use, the Mac mini’s networking is more than enough. But if you’re building a home server or moving large amounts of data across a local network, the MS-03 has a major advantage.

Windows and Linux vs macOS

Then there’s the software question, which honestly might matter more than any spec on this list. The Mac mini M4 runs macOS and benefits from Apple’s wider ecosystem. If you already use an iPhone, features such as easy file sharing, iPhone integration, and other Apple services can make the Mac a more convenient choice. You also get access to software such as Final Cut Pro and Logic Pro, which can be a major reason to choose a Mac if you are close to editing photos or videos. 

The MS-03 is more open. You can run Windows or Linux and use the computer however you want. You can install Proxmox, turn it into a NAS, create a home server, run virtual machines, or even set up multiple operating systems. This freedom is a big part of the MS-03’s appeal.

Which one should you buy?

The Minisforum MS-03 makes more sense if you like building and upgrading your computers. Its support for up to 128GB of RAM, multiple SSDs, a dedicated GPU, and extremely fast networking gives it far more flexibility than the Mac mini.

It is especially attractive for home lab users, developers, server builders, and anyone who wants a small computer that can grow with their needs.

The Mac mini M4 is the better choice if you want something simple and ready to use. It offers plenty of performance for everyday work and creative tasks, while macOS and Apple’s ecosystem make it an easy choice for existing Apple users.

Both are built to handle most of the work on their own, but the better choice depends on whether you care more about deep mopping and hygiene or all-around cleaning performance.

Design

The biggest difference between the two is their design. 

LG designed RONi to disappear when it’s not in use. The company offers two versions of it. One with a Hidden Station that fits under a kitchen sink cabinet and stands just 15cm tall. It also supports automatic water supply and drainage, so you don’t need to make major changes to your kitchen.

And another Object Station version, which looks more like a small side table and can be placed anywhere in the home.

Both stations have a front door that opens when the robot enters or leaves. When cleaning is complete, the door closes, hiding the robot and its camera. The RONi also has a Privacy by Design certification, and the camera stays behind the closed station door when the robot is not in use.

Meanwhile, the Roborock S9 MaxV Ultra doesn’t try to hide its hardware. Its RockDock Ultra sits openly in the room and handles tasks such as emptying the dustbin, washing the mop, and drying by itself.

The robot measures 350 x 353 x 79.8mm, allowing it to get under most furniture. The dock can also be connected directly to water and drainage systems for automatic refilling and draining.

Cleaning

The two robots also take different cleaning approaches. The RONi has 30W of suction, mop pads that spin at up to 180rpm, and a side brush that extends around 46mm to reach corners. But suction isn’t its biggest selling point. LG is focusing heavily on hygiene instead. 

The RONi is the first robot vacuum to use 100°C steam to clean both the robot and its station. LG says the steam system can eliminate 99.99% of four types of bacteria from the mop pads and station.

Roborock takes a more traditional performance-focused approach with the S9 MaxV Ultra. It offers up to 22,000Pa of suction, more than twice the suction power of the company’s S8 MaxV Ultra. Its VibraRise 4.0 mopping system vibrates 4,000 times per minute and uses 80°C hot water to wash the mop. The dock then dries it after cleaning.

The robot can lift its brush by 18mm when it detects carpet and can climb thresholds up to 4cm. The dock is also 7.98cm tall, which Roborock says makes it the shortest in its class.

If you care most about suction and picking up dirt from floors, the S9 MaxV Ultra has the stronger numbers. But if keeping the mop and dock clean is a greater concern, the RONi’s 100°C steam system offers an alternative.

Navigation and obstacle detection

Both robots use AI to navigate around the home and avoid objects. LG’s RONi uses eight sensors and can recognize more than 120 types of objects, including cables, flower pots and pet waste. If something blocks its path, the robot can notify you through the LG ThinQ app. It can then return to the area and clean it once the obstacle has been removed.

The RONi can also change its cleaning settings depending on the room. For example, it can use stronger cleaning settings in areas such as the kitchen.

Roborock’s S9 MaxV Ultra uses Reactive AI 3.0 and can identify 108 types of objects. It also uses LiDAR to map the home and plan cleaning routes.

Roborock has an advantage when it comes to remote monitoring. Features such as Pet Snap and Video Cruise allow owners to check on pets remotely. The RONi doesn’t offer the same kind of pet-monitoring features.

Price and availability

LG launched the RONi in South Korea for 2.19 million won, or around $1,420. Both the Hidden Station and Objet Station versions have the same starting price.

The company has not yet confirmed plans to bring the RONi to other markets. LG also offers an optional appliance subscription that includes service visits, regular steam maintenance, and replacement parts such as mop pads and batteries.

The Roborock S9 MaxV Ultra is more widely available. It is listed at $1,799.99 in the US and is also sold in markets such as the UAE and Egypt. In South Korea, it costs around 1.41 million won, making it cheaper than the RONi at local prices.

Which one should you choose?

The LG RONi makes more sense if you don’t want a large robot vacuum dock sitting in the middle of your kitchen or living room. Its hidden design and steam-cleaning system also make it a better fit if hygiene is more important to you than maximum suction power.

The Roborock S9 MaxV Ultra is the better choice if you want strong suction, advanced navigation, and more mature smart features. Its wider availability and pet-monitoring tools are also useful advantages.

Neither robot is clearly better than the other. They are built around different ideas. LG is trying to make the robot vacuum disappear into your home. Roborock is trying to make it as powerful and capable as possible. Which approach works better depends on whether you care more about keeping the hardware out of sight or getting the most cleaning power and smart features from your robot vacuum.

DJI recently expanded its handheld camera lineup with two distinct devices: the Osmo 360 II and the Osmo Pocket 4P. While both are highly portable and share some of the company’s latest processing technology, they are designed for fundamentally different types of video production. Choosing between them comes down to how you prefer to shoot and the environments you typically work in.

Design and Build

The physical construction of these cameras dictates their best use cases. The Osmo 360 II is built for durability and unpredictable environments. It carries an IP68 rating, meaning it can handle water immersion up to 10 meters without needing an external waterproof housing.

It is also rated to operate in temperatures as low as -20 degrees Celsius. DJI has included replaceable lens protectors, which is a practical update for a camera meant to be mounted on bikes, helmets, or used in action sports where scratches are likely.

The Osmo Pocket 4P, conversely, is a much more delicate device. Weighing 230 grams, its defining feature is a 3-axis mechanical gimbal. It isn’t weather-sealed or ruggedized for extreme sports. Instead, it is designed for handheld use in controlled environments.

It features a bright 2.0-inch rotating touchscreen that doubles as a quick power-on switch, allowing you to start recording quickly. It is a tool built for smooth, deliberate camera movements rather than rough handling.

Sensors and Image Quality

This is where the two cameras diverge the most in terms of workflow. The Osmo 360 II uses dual 1/1.1-inch square CMOS sensors. The square aspect ratio is an interesting design choice, intended to improve sensor utilization and capture native 8K panoramic video at up to 60fps.

It also includes a 14.5-stop dynamic range, 10-bit color depth with D-Log M, and an AI Super Night 2.0 mode for low-light situations. The appeal here is the ability to capture everything around you and decide on the exact framing later in post-production.

The Pocket 4P takes a more traditional photography approach, introducing a dual-camera system to the Pocket line. The main wide-angle camera uses a 1-inch sensor (20mm equivalent, f/2.0) with LOFIC technology, which DJI says provides up to 17 stops of dynamic range.

Alongside it is a 60mm medium-telephoto lens with a 1/1.28-inch sensor (f/1.8). This secondary lens provides 3x optical zoom, allowing for more natural depth of field and background compression in portrait shots. It also supports 4K video at up to 240fps for slow motion and uses the D-Log 2 color profile. If your priority is standard, high-quality video right out of the camera, the Pocket 4P has a clear edge.

Tracking, Storage, and Connectivity

Both cameras offer subject tracking, but they process it differently. The Pocket 4P uses ActiveTrack 8.0, physically moving the gimbal to keep subjects centered, even when using the telephoto lens. The Osmo 360 II relies on digital tracking, cropping into the 360-degree sphere to keep a subject in frame, which is currently limited to a 4K resolution output.

Both models feature built-in internal storage. The Osmo 360 II includes 128GB (about 105GB usable), while the Pocket 4P has 103GB. This allows users to start recording immediately without needing to supply their own microSD card right away, though both support expansion up to 1TB. For file transfers, the Pocket 4P supports USB 3.1 speeds up to 800MB/s, making it relatively quick to offload large video files.

Audio capture is handled by a four-microphone array on the Osmo 360 II and a three-microphone array on the Pocket 4P. Both devices also support direct connections to DJI’s wireless microphone ecosystem, such as the Mic Mini 2.

For battery life, the Pocket 4P offers up to 210 minutes of recording at 1080p and supports fast charging to 80 percent in 18 minutes. The Osmo 360 II, handling the higher processing demands of 8K video, provides up to 100 minutes of continuous recording on its 2150mAh battery.

Which One Should You Buy?

Pricing for both cameras is remarkably competitive. In China, the Osmo 360 II starts at CNY 3,299 ($489) for the Standard Combo, while the Osmo Pocket 4P starts slightly higher at CNY 3,799 ($563).

If you are an action sports junkie, a motorcyclist, or someone who wants to capture immersive VR-ready environments, the Osmo 360 II is the obvious choice. Its 8K resolution gives you massive flexibility to crop into standard flat videos later, and its IP68 rating means it can take a beating.

However, if you are a YouTuber, a solo filmmaker, or a travel vlogger who prioritizes image quality, optical depth of field, and perfectly smooth tracking shots, the Osmo Pocket 4P is unparalleled. The addition of a 60mm telephoto lens to a 1-inch main sensor on a mechanical gimbal makes it one of the most capable pocket cameras ever made.

If you’ve ever tried to buy a wireless microphone for your phone, you’ve probably noticed that they all start to look the same after a while. There are tiny black transmitters, tiny black receivers, charging cases, and many promises of professional or studio-quality sound.

The good news is that you no longer need to spend hundreds of dollars to get decent wireless audio. The bad news is that choosing between the many small wireless microphones has become surprisingly difficult. 

Two of the most interesting options right now are DJI’s Mic Mini 2S and the Rode Wireless Micro. Both are small enough to disappear on your shirt, both are designed primarily for creators who shoot with phones or compact cameras, and both are relatively affordable compared with professional wireless systems.

But they are different in their own rights. The Rode Wireless Micro is about keeping things simple. DJI’s Mic Mini 2S is more ambitious, with features like internal recording, longer battery life, and support for more transmitters. 

Here’s the comparison between DJI Mic Mini 2S versus Rode Wireless Micro to help you decide which is better for you.

Rode Wireless Micro

The biggest reason to buy the Rode Wireless Micro is that you probably don’t want to think about your microphone very much. The system is built around two small transmitters, a receiver, and a charging case that looks a lot like an oversized pair of wireless earbuds. Depending on the bundle, it costs around $99 to $149, and you can get versions with either USB-C or Lightning connectivity for phones.

The transmitters are tiny and light, and can also be attached magnetically, which is useful if you don’t want to put a clip through thin or delicate clothing. There isn’t much to configure either. Plug the receiver into your phone, attach the transmitters, and start recording.

The receiver doesn’t have a screen or a bunch of controls to worry about, and it draws power from the connected device. For someone who wants to record a quick video, interview, or vlog without going through a setup process, that’s a good thing.

The microphones themselves are omnidirectional and are designed to pick up your voice clearly while keeping the whole setup small and unobtrusive.

There is a trade-off, though. The Wireless Micro doesn’t have onboard recording. If the wireless connection drops while you’re filming, the audio that wasn’t transmitted is simply gone.

DJI Mic Mini 2S

The DJI Mic Mini 2S is slightly different. Instead of trying to make the microphone as simple as possible, DJI has packed in more features for people who want some insurance and control over their recordings.

The biggest one is internal recording. Each transmitter has 14.5GB of storage, which DJI says is enough for around 28 hours of 24-bit audio or roughly 22 hours of 32-bit float audio. So even if the wireless connection to your phone or camera drops, the transmitter can continue recording your voice locally.

If you’re recording a casual TikTok or YouTube Short, losing a few seconds of audio probably isn’t the end of the world. If you’re interviewing someone who flew across the country to talk to you, having a backup recording can save the entire shoot.

DJI also gives you more ways to control how the microphone sounds. The Mic Mini 2S includes two levels of AI noise reduction, three voice tone presets, and a clipping-control feature that can automatically reduce the gain when something suddenly gets very loud.

The receiver itself doesn’t have a screen, but DJI uses its Mimo app to provide more information and controls. You can see audio levels and connection status and change settings that aren’t available on the Rode system.

DJI also wins if you need more than two microphones

There is another reason you might want to consider DJI, particularly if you’re recording interviews or group conversations. 

The Mic Mini 2S can support up to four transmitters with a single receiver. This means you can have multiple people wearing microphones without having to build a complicated setup around several wireless systems.

Meanwhile, the Rode Wireless Micro is limited to two transmitters. For a solo creator, that’s probably irrelevant. For someone who occasionally records a panel, group interview, or podcast with several people, it could be the feature that makes the DJI worth buying.

The downside is that adding more transmitters also pushes the price up, so you shouldn’t pay for the extra capacity unless you actually expect to use it.

Battery life is another DJI advantage

Both microphones should easily get through a normal shooting day, but DJI has the advantage on paper. Rode rates each Wireless Micro transmitter for around seven hours of battery life. The charging case provides two additional charges for a total of 21 hours of total battery life.

DJI claims around 11 hours for each Mic Mini 2S transmitter and about 10 hours for the receiver. With the charging case, total battery life goes beyond 40 hours.

That doesn’t mean you’ll suddenly need 40 hours of recording time. It does mean you can throw the case into your bag, forget about charging the microphones for a while, and still have plenty of battery when you need them.

You probably don’t need to worry about range

Rode’s Wireless Micro has a range of more than 100 meters, while DJI claims up to 400 meters with its standard receiver. The smaller DJI Mobile Receiver has a claimed range of around 200 to 300 meters. 

Those numbers sound impressive, but they’re not particularly important for most people buying these microphones. If you’re recording a person talking to the camera, conducting an interview, or walking around while vlogging, you’re probably going to be well within the range of either system.

DJI does have one interesting advantage if you’re already using its cameras. Through its OsmoAudio system, the Mic Mini 2S transmitters can connect directly to compatible devices such as the Osmo Pocket 4 and Osmo 360 II without needing the receiver. That’s a nice feature if you’re already invested in DJI’s ecosystem.

So which one should you buy?

For most people who just want a tiny wireless microphone for their phone, I’d lean toward the Rode Wireless Micro. It does what it’s supposed to do without making you think too much about the equipment. The transmitters are tiny, the setup is simple, and the audio is good enough for the kind of voice recording most phone-based creators are doing.

The DJI Mic Mini 2S is the better choice if you’re more serious about recording or want room to grow. Its internal recording is the biggest reason to choose it. Having a backup copy of your audio can be extremely useful for interviews and other recordings that can’t easily be repeated. The ability to use up to four transmitters, longer battery life, additional audio controls, and direct connections to some DJI cameras also make it more flexible.

So this isn’t really a case of one microphone being better than the other. The Rode Wireless Micro is the microphone I’d recommend if you want to clip something onto your shirt and forget it’s there. The DJI Mic Mini 2S is the one I’d carry if I cared more about having options when something goes wrong.

Losing your keys used to mean checking every couch cushion, drawer, and jacket pocket in the house. Now, you can clip a small tracker to your keys, bag, or wallet and use your phone to find it.

Apple popularized this category with the AirTag, and we have since seen several makers — smartphone and not — launching their own tracking devices. That market now has a new big name. At the Made by Google event alongside the Pixel 11 series, Google launched its first item tracker, the Pixel Tag. It will go on sale on November 11.

Apple has had the AirTag since 2021 and updated it earlier this year, while Samsung has offered the Galaxy SmartTag2 since 2023. All three do the same basic job, but they work very differently depending on which phone you use.

Here’s a comparison of the Google Pixel Tag, Apple AirTag, and Samsung Galaxy SmartTag2 to help you decide which one makes the most sense for you.

Price and design

The three trackers are priced almost the same. The Pixel Tag costs $29 for one or $99 for a four-pack, matching the AirTag. The Galaxy SmartTag2 costs $30 for one or $100 for four.

Visually, they look different. AirTag is a small, flat, round disc, closer to the size of a large coin. The Galaxy SmartTag2 is pill-shaped with a large metal ring loop built into one end, so it clips onto keychains without needing a case. The Pixel Tag also uses a pill-shaped, pebble-like body, measuring about 46 x 28 x 5.4mm and weighing under 12 grams, but it has no built-in loop, so you’ll likely need a case or holder to attach it to keys. For now, it comes in just one color called Fog, which is a light gray.

All three use a replaceable CR2032 coin battery, so users can replace the battery when it runs out instead of buying a new tracker.

Google and Apple say their trackers can last more than a year on a single battery with normal use. Samsung claims up to 500 days of battery life in normal mode, or up to 700 days with power-saving mode enabled.

They are also similarly durable. All three have an IP67 rating, meaning they are protected from dust and can survive being submerged in up to about a meter of water for a short time. So a little rain or a wet backpack shouldn’t be a problem.

How they find your stuff

Each tracker has its own strength and/or weakness in how they work. All three use two main ways to find your belongings. They can connect directly to your phone when you’re nearby, or use a larger network of other phones to find the tracker when it’s far away.

AirTag

The latest AirTag uses Ultra Wideband (UWB) to help you find a lost item when you’re nearby. Your iPhone can show you which direction to walk and how far away the tracker is. Speaking of which, the Precision Finding on the new AirTag covers 50% more range than the previous generation, thanks to Apple’s second-generation UWB chip.

Apple also made the new AirTag’s speaker louder by 50%, which the company claims can be heard from up to twice as far away. And when you’re too far away for a direct connection, AirTag uses Apple’s Find My network, so that other nearby Apple devices can detect the lost AirTag and anonymously send its location to its owner.

Pixel Tag

The Pixel Tag works similarly, but uses Google’s Android ecosystem. It uses both UWB and Bluetooth Channel Sounding for precision finding, but the exact features you get depend on your phone’s hardware and software.

UWB uses a dedicated ultra-wideband chip to provide more precise distance and directional information, while Bluetooth Channel Sounding uses newer Bluetooth technology to measure distance without requiring UWB hardware. However, Channel Sounding requires a compatible phone running Android 16 or newer with Bluetooth 6.0 or later, while UWB also requires a phone with a UWB chip.

When the tracker is out of direct range, it switches to Google’s Find Hub network, which relies on participating Android devices to detect lost items. Android smartphone pool is much bigger compared to Apple, and such a large network could be a major advantage in crowded places like airports, shopping centers, and city streets. The more Android devices nearby, the better the chance that one of them will detect your lost tracker.

Galaxy SmartTag2

Samsung’s Galaxy SmartTag2 also combines Bluetooth and UWB. Samsung claims a Bluetooth range of up to 120 meters under ideal conditions. However, the most accurate UWB tracking only works if your Galaxy phone has a UWB chip. Not every Samsung phone has one, so some cheaper Galaxy A-series phones and certain other models won’t offer the full tracking experience.

For finding lost items from a distance, the SmartTag2 uses Samsung’s SmartThings Find network. Unlike Google’s network, this is limited to Samsung Galaxy devices.

The ecosystem problem

This is probably the most important thing to consider before buying any of these trackers. The three trackers don’t work together, and two of them are heavily tied to their own phone brands.

The Galaxy SmartTag2 is the most restrictive. It works with Samsung Galaxy phones and tablets through the SmartThings Find app. If you use a Pixel, OnePlus, or iPhone, you can’t use it as your everyday tracker.

AirTag has a similar limitation on the Apple side. You need an iPhone or iPad for setup and regular tracking. Android phones can scan a lost AirTag using NFC and see the owner’s contact information if Lost Mode is enabled, but Android users don’t get the full tracking experience.

The Pixel Tag is more flexible and works with Android phones running Android 9 or later, although some advanced finding features require newer hardware and software. This gives Google a much wider reach than Samsung. However, it still doesn’t work as a full-featured tracker with iPhones.

So the real choice is fairly simple. AirTag for Apple users, Pixel Tag for most Android users, and SmartTag2 for Samsung Galaxy users.

Which one should you buy?

If you use an iPhone, the AirTag is still the obvious choice. Apple’s Find My network is large and well established, while the new UWB chip and louder speaker make it easier to locate the tag when you’re nearby.

If you use a Samsung Galaxy phone, the Galaxy SmartTag2 is a good option. It has excellent battery life and works well within Samsung’s ecosystem. Just remember that the best tracking features depend on your specific Galaxy phone.

For other Android users, the Pixel Tag makes the most sense. It works across a much wider range of Android phones, costs about the same as an AirTag, has an IP67 rating, and uses Google’s Find Hub network, which the company says covers more than a billion devices. However, note that Pixel Tag doesn’t go on sale until November 11, so you will have to wait if you’re willing to get one.

If you want something thinner or designed specifically for wallets, third-party trackers such as the Ugreen FineTrack Slim Duo 2 are also worth considering. But for a simple first-party option, the Pixel Tag fills a gap Android users have had since the AirTag launched in 2021.

The 360 camera market just had its biggest week of the year. Insta360 launched the X6 on Wednesday, and DJI followed less than a day later with the Osmo 360 II. Both replace flagship models that have been at the top of the category, and both bring noticeable improvements in image quality.

This doesn’t mean you should ignore the older models, though. If you’re on a tighter budget, the previous-generation cameras are still very capable and should be available at a discount too.

The biggest advantage of a 360 camera is simple; you don’t have to worry about framing while recording. Just hold the camera up, hit record, and choose the best angle later on your phone or laptop. You can capture everything around you and decide what the final shot should look like afterward.

Here are the best 360 cameras for panoramic shots that you can get in 2026. 

Insta360 X6

The X6 is now Insta360’s flagship offering, and it’s a major upgrade over the X5 rather than a small refresh. It uses two Sony 1/1.1-inch square sensors that deliver full 1-inch-equivalent 360 imaging. The sensors also offer 33% more area than those in the X5 and can capture much more light for brighter shots. 

The X6 can record 8K video at 50fps, up from the X5’s 30fps at 8K, and can also capture 120MP photos. For processing, it has a triple-chip system built around an 8-core, 4nm processor. Insta360 says the X6 has about five times the computing power of the X5.

Other features include 10-bit color, Dolby Vision, an improved PureVideo low-light mode, and the new Replaceable Lenses 2.0 system. It also has 47GB of usable internal storage, which is a first for the X series and means you don’t always need a memory card.

The camera uses a 2,600mAh battery and is rated for up to 140 minutes of continuous 8K recording. The X6 starts at $699.99 for the Standard Bundle and $799.99 for the Essentials Bundle in the US. That’s $150 more than the X5’s starting price.

Insta360 X5

If $699.99 is too much, the X5 is still a very good option. It uses two 1/1.28-inch sensors and can record 8K video at 30fps while capturing 72MP photos. You also get Insta360’s PureVideo low-light mode, replaceable lenses, a built-in wind guard, and waterproofing down to 49 feet without a case.

The X6 has the advantage in sensor size, frame rate, and processing power. But for travel videos, vlogging, and everyday action footage, the X5 still does a good job.

At $549.99, it also offers better value now that the X6 is available. Insta360 also sells a BMW Motorrad edition of the X5 aimed at motorcycle riders. It comes with features such as handlebar controls and an extended battery.

DJI Osmo 360 II

DJI responded to Insta360 less than a day later with the Osmo 360 II. The camera uses the same 1/1.1-inch sensor class as the original Osmo 360 but increases 8K panoramic video to 60fps. That gives it a slight advantage over the X6’s 8K50 recording.

DJI has also increased dynamic range to 14.5 stops in D-Log M, compared with 13.5 stops on the original model. The camera still captures 120MP shots, but the II adds HDR and RAW photo capture.

The battery is larger at 2,150mAh, compared with 1,950mAh on the first model. It also supports 27W USB-C fast charging. Another important upgrade is user-replaceable lenses. 

The Osmo 360 II also has NFC for quick pairing and 105GB of internal storage, which is carried over from the original model. In China, the standard bundle costs around 3,299 yuan, or roughly $460.

The biggest problem right now is availability. DJI has only confirmed the China launch so far, and there is no listing for the Osmo 360 II on DJI’s US store. With the restrictions affecting DJI products in the US, it isn’t clear when the camera will officially arrive there.

DJI Osmo 360

The original Osmo 360 is still available and is now cheaper in markets where the II has launched. It offers dual 1-inch square sensors, 8K video at 50fps, 13.5 stops of dynamic range, and up to 100 minutes of 8K recording on one charge.

The camera also uses the same battery and magnetic mounting system as the DJI Osmo Action 5 Pro. That is useful if you already own DJI action-camera accessories.

The original Osmo 360 is also officially available in the US, making it the more practical DJI option for American buyers right now. It costs around $549.99.

GoPro MAX2

GoPro stayed out of the 360 camera race for years while Insta360 and DJI moved ahead. The company finally returned with the MAX2 last year.

GoPro calls it the only “True 8K” 360 camera, based on how it calculates resolution. The MAX2 records 8K 360 video, as well as 5.6K at 60fps and 4K at 100fps. Its biggest advantage over the newer Insta360 and DJI models is built-in GPS.

The MAX2 also brings back GoPro’s replaceable lens system and uses a 1,960mAh Enduro battery designed to work in cold weather. It’s rugged, waterproof, and supports 16 mounting accessories made specifically for the camera. At $499.99, it has the lowest starting price among the flagship-level 360 cameras on this list.

The MAX2 has also expanded into markets such as India, where it launched alongside GoPro’s new AI-powered gimbal.

Ricoh Theta X

Not everyone shooting 360 content needs video, and for stills-first work like real estate listings and virtual tours, the Ricoh Theta X is the camera most professionals reach for. It pairs dual 48MP sensors to produce spherical stills at up to 60MP, or 11K resolution, well beyond what any of the action-camera-style 360 shooters above offer for photos. The video tops out at 5.7K at 30fps.

What sets the Theta X apart is how it’s built to be used on its own. It has a 2.25-inch color touchscreen that lets you preview shots, adjust settings, and review captures without pulling out your phone, and it’s the first Theta model with an interchangeable battery and a microSD card slot instead of fixed internal storage. 

It also has built-in GPS that geotags your shots automatically, and the camera runs on Android, so it accepts third-party plug-ins for things like automatic face blurring or wireless livestreaming. 

Ricoh also added HDR RAW capture in DNG format for professionals who edit files afterward instead of working from flattened JPEGs. Its pricing starts at $649.

How to pick the right 360 camera

To get the best 360 camera for your needs, start with your budget and think about what you plan to shoot. If you want the best overall image quality and don’t mind spending $699.99 or more, the Insta360 X6 is the easiest recommendation. The DJI Osmo 360 II is also very competitive on paper, especially with its 8K60 recording, but its availability is still limited.

If you want to save money, the Insta360 X5 and original DJI Osmo 360 are still strong choices. Both can record 8K video and offer enough quality for travel, vlogging, and everyday shooting.

The GoPro MAX2 is the cheapest flagship-level option. It’s also the obvious choice if built-in GPS is important to you or you’re already using other GoPro products. And if you’re shooting stills for real estate rather than video, skip the action-camera crowd entirely and go with the Theta X.

If you bought the Redmi Note 12 when it launched, you have probably been using it for quite some time now. And after three years, some things are bound to feel old.

The phone may feel slower than newer mid-range models, the camera is not as good at night, and software support is either close to ending or has already ended. That does not mean the Redmi Note 12 was a bad phone. It simply means smartphones have come a long way since then.

If you are finally ready to upgrade, there are plenty of good options today. The right choice depends on what you want from your next phone.

Important: Phone prices are not the same anymore

Worth keeping in mind before you start comparing specs is that phone pricing today isn’t what it was when the Redmi Note 12 launched. Memory chip prices have risen sharply through 2025 and into 2026, and RAM and storage make up a big chunk of what a phone costs to build. 

This has pushed starting prices up across almost every brand, including the ones on this list — the Galaxy A57 costs $50 more than the A56 did a year ago, and even budget-focused lines like Redmi and Poco have seen their entry-level configurations get pricier or drop in storage to hold the line on price. So if your upgrade budget is based on what a similar phone cost back in 2023, expect to stretch it a bit further this time around.

Given these price shifts, it’s worth checking the best budget smartphones you can buy in mid-2026 for a fuller picture of current options.

If you want a simple upgrade: Redmi Note 15 series

The easiest upgrade is to stay with the Redmi Note series. The Redmi Note 15 series improves on the Note 12 in almost every important area. You get a better AMOLED display, a larger battery and better protection against water and dust.

The standard Redmi Note 15 is a good option if you want something familiar. It comes with a 120Hz AMOLED display, an OIS-equipped main camera and a battery that can comfortably last a full day.

If you want more, there is the Redmi Note 15 Pro and Pro+. Both offer IP68/IP69K protection, a 200-megapixel main camera and a curved 1.5K display. The display can also reach up to 3,200 nits of peak brightness, making it easier to see outdoors.

The Pro+ is the most powerful option in the series and supports 100W charging. If you liked the Redmi Note 12 and simply want a newer version of the same experience, the Note 15 series is the most straightforward choice.

If gaming and performance are your priority: Poco X7 Pro

The Redmi Note 12 was never designed to be a serious gaming phone. So, if performance is one of the main reasons you want to upgrade, the Poco X7 Pro is worth considering.

It uses the Dimensity 8400 Ultra chipset, which delivers much more performance than the chip inside the Redmi Note 12. It also comes with a large 6,000mAh battery, so you get good battery life even when using the phone heavily.

The Poco X7 Pro also has a 120Hz 1.5K OLED display and supports 90W fast charging. Some versions also come with a vegan leather back, which gives the phone a more premium feel.

The cameras are not its biggest strength. The rear camera setup is good enough for everyday photos, but it cannot compete with phones that focus more on photography.

If you spend a lot of time gaming or simply want a phone that feels fast and responsive, however, the Poco X7 Pro is one of the better choices.

If you want a phone that will last for years: Google Pixel 10a

If your biggest problem with the Redmi Note 12 is software support, the Google Pixel 10a is worth a look. Google promises seven years of software and security updates for the Pixel 10a. You can keep using the phone for years without worrying about it becoming outdated too quickly.

The Pixel also offers a clean version of Android with very little unnecessary software. The phone has a 6.3-inch Actua display with a peak brightness of up to 3,000 nits. It also uses Gorilla Glass 7i for better protection.

For cameras, you get a 48-megapixel main sensor and a 13-megapixel ultrawide. On paper, the hardware may not look as impressive as the 200-megapixel cameras on some Redmi phones, but Google’s image processing does a lot of good work. And the result is a camera that can take good photos in different lighting conditions.

The Pixel 10a may not be the fastest phone here, but it offers a smooth and consistent experience. If you want a phone that you can keep for a long time, it is one of the better options.

If you want something different: Nothing Phone (4a)

Most smartphones in this price range look very similar. The Nothing Phone (4a) is different. Its transparent design and Glyph lighting system give it a look that stands out. The latest Glyph system uses 63 individually addressable mini-LEDs that can flash patterns or even specific icons to let you know when someone is calling.

The design is not the only reason to consider it. Nothing OS is also one of the cleaner versions of Android, with a simple interface and little unnecessary software. 

As an upgrade from the Redmi Note 12, you also get a sharper AMOLED display, a triple-camera setup with useful zoom capabilities, and a more capable Snapdragon chipset. The Nothing Phone (3a) is already good, but the 4a brings improvements to the display and performance. However, if you want something cheaper, the new Nothing Phone (4b) is worth checking out. 

If you can spend more for a premium experience: Samsung Galaxy A57

If your budget allows you to spend a little more, the Samsung Galaxy A57 is another option to consider. It offers a more premium build with a metal frame and IP68 water and dust resistance. You also get Samsung’s One UI software and a long-term software update promise.

The phone has a large 6.7-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Its 50-megapixel main camera also comes with OIS for better photos in both daylight and low-light conditions. 

The Galaxy A57 is not the fastest phone here. Its battery and charging speeds are also less impressive than what you get from the Poco X7 Pro or Redmi Note 15 Pro+. But if you care more about build quality, software support, and an overall polished experience than gaming performance, the Galaxy A57 is a safer choice.

Which phone should you buy?

There is no single best upgrade for every Redmi Note 12 owner. It depends on what you want from your next phone. If you want something familiar, the Redmi Note 15 series is the easiest choice. It gives you a newer and more capable version of the phone you already know. 

For gaming and performance, the Poco X7 Pro is the better pick. If your main concern is software updates and long-term use, the Google Pixel 10a makes more sense.

If you want a phone that looks different from everything else, go for the Nothing Phone (4a). And if you are willing to spend more for better build quality and long-term software support, the Samsung Galaxy A57 is worth considering.

After three years with the Redmi Note 12, any of these phones should feel like a meaningful upgrade. You will get faster performance, better displays, improved cameras and, most importantly, a phone that should feel much more capable for the next few years.

Physical keyboards are having a moment again. After years of every phone looking like the same glass slab, a small group of companies decided to bring back the clicky, tactile typing experience that BlackBerry once made famous. 

There are also more choices than before. Unihertz has continued developing its Titan series, while new companies such as Clicks and Minimal are bringing their own ideas to the keyboard-phone market. 

If you are looking for a phone that puts typing and productivity ahead of gaming, photography, or social media, here are some of the best QWERTY and productivity-focused options to consider in 2026.

Clicks Communicator

The Clicks Communicator is the device that got everyone talking at CES 2026. It comes from Clicks Technology, a UK-based startup which also offers clip-on keyboard cases for the iPhone, if you do not want to replace your existing handheld. 

Anyhoo, the Communicator is their first full standalone Android phone instead of an accessory. Here, you get a compact 4.03-inch AMOLED screen with a 1080 x 1200 resolution, above a backlit physical keyboard with sculpted keys and a fingerprint sensor tucked into the spacebar. 

The phone runs on a 4nm MediaTek chip, packs a 50MP main camera with OIS and a 24MP selfie camera, and charges through USB-C or Qi2 wireless charging. You still get a 3.5mm headphone jack, Wi-Fi 6, NFC, and microSD storage that expands up to 2TB, which is a lot for a phone this size.

What makes the Communicator different from a typical Android phone is the software. Instead of a normal home screen full of apps, it pulls WhatsApp, Telegram, Slack, and Gmail into one combined feed, so you can check every message thread without opening five different apps. There’s also a “Signal Light” around one of the side buttons that changes color depending on who’s messaging you, and a programmable key you can set up for voice dictation.

Clicks pitches the Communicator as a second phone for people who want to separate work messaging from the rest of their digital life, though the company itself has admitted plenty of people could use it as a primary phone too. It retails at $399 for early reservations before it jumps to $499. Shipping has slipped a few times this year, with Clicks now targeting production and delivery to reservation holders in the fourth quarter of 2026, so treat this one as a phone worth reserving rather than one you can walk into a store and buy today.

Unihertz Titan 2 Elite

If you want something you can actually order and hold this year, the Unihertz Titan 2 Elite could be the pick for you. Unihertz has been making keyboard phones since 2019, and the Titan 2 Elite is its most refined effort so far. The company calls it the world’s smallest 5G phone with a physical keyboard, and at 117.8 x 75 x 10.4mm, it genuinely fits in one hand in a way the earlier, chunkier Titan phones didn’t.

You get a 4.03-inch AMOLED display running at 120Hz, a real physical QWERTY keyboard with a trackpad built in, and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. Unihertz sells it in two configurations: a standard version with a MediaTek Dimensity 7400 chip, and a Pro version with the more powerful Dimensity 8400 for people who run heavier multitasking workloads. Both pack a 4,050mAh battery with 33W fast charging, dual 50MP rear cameras, and Android 16 out of the box.

Unihertz redesigned the keyboard itself for this model too. Independent testing measured the actuation force at roughly 58 grams, down from about 67 grams on the original Titan 2, which should mean less finger fatigue if you’re typing long emails or documents throughout the day. 

You can pre-order the device starting at $489.90 for the Titan 2 Elite and $579.99 for the Pro model. 

Unihertz Titan 2

Before the Elite arrived, Unihertz launched the Titan 2, and it’s still worth considering if you want a bigger screen and don’t mind a heavier phone. It has a 4.5-inch square display running at 1440 x 1440 with a 120Hz refresh rate, plus a second 2-inch screen on the back that shows notifications or works as a selfie preview. The physical keyboard sits below the main display and supports swipe gestures. 

Inside, you get a MediaTek Dimensity 7300 chip, 12GB of RAM, and up to 512GB of storage, along with a 5,000mAh battery. The Titan 2 also throws in an infrared port for controlling home electronics and IP65 water and dust resistance, both useful if you’re using this as your everyday driver rather than a niche second device. You can find it now for around $499.

Minimal Phone 2

The Minimal Phone 2 is the newest entrant in the QWERTY keyboard phone segment. The original Minimal Phone used an E Ink display to reduce distractions. The second-generation model, however, replaces E Ink with a 3.92-inch 90Hz AMOLED display while keeping the physical QWERTY keyboard.

The change is important because the original E Ink screen came with obvious limitations. The new AMOLED display should make everyday smartphone tasks much easier while still keeping the physical keyboard at the center of the experience.

The keyboard itself has been improved with backlighting, remappable shortcuts, and metal dome switches. The phone also uses a MediaTek Dimensity 8300 processor and offers up to 512GB of storage. It has NFC, a mute switch, and a 3.5mm headphone jack.

Most importantly, the Minimal Phone 2 is still designed around the idea of using technology more intentionally. The phone is currently being offered through a crowdfunding campaign, so buyers should keep the risks of crowdfunded hardware in mind.

Which one should you actually buy?

If you want a phone you can order today and use as your daily driver, the Unihertz Titan 2 Elite makes the most sense. If a bigger screen and longer battery life matter more to you than pocketability, the original Titan 2 is the safer, already-shipping choice.

The Clicks Communicator is the more interesting long-term bet, especially if you like the idea of a dedicated messaging device that keeps your notifications organized instead of overwhelming you. Just know you’re pre-ordering a phone that’s still finishing carrier certification, not one you can pick up this week.

The Minimal Phone 2 is the more interesting choice for people who want productivity and digital minimalism together. Its AMOLED display also makes it more practical than the original Minimal Phone.

I have been spending some time with the upcoming iQOO Z11 ahead of its India launch, and the phone makes a strong first impression with its combination of a large curved display, a massive battery, and a new focus on AI features. iQOO is positioning the Z11 in the under-Rs 40,000 segment, with the phone set to launch in India on August 20.

iQOO claims that the Z11 is designed with students in mind, especially because its AI features can help with studying, taking notes, summarizing information, writing assignments, and handling everyday academic tasks. After trying some of these features, I can see why the company is emphasizing practical AI use cases rather than treating AI as just another specification.

AI Creation can do more than summarize text

One of the features I have spent time trying is AI Creation, which works as a writing and text-processing assistant. It can be accessed from the editing page in Notes and DocMaster, where it offers several tools.

The available options include Summary, Polish, Shorten, Extend, Continue writing, Revise grammar, Smart layout, Extract to-dos and Translate. There are also dedicated templates for Articles, Brainstorming and Work summary.

This means you can take a block of text and ask the phone to summarize, polish, shorten or expand it. Continue writing can help extend existing content, while Revise grammar can clean up the writing.

AI Creation is also available through the system clipboard in supported third-party apps. You can long-press inside a text field, open Clipboard and access the AI tools for content generation or polishing.

For students, this could be useful when working with long study material, preparing notes or cleaning up written work. I will be testing the quality of the generated content more extensively in the full review.

AI Captions can translate Indian languages in real time

AI Captions is another feature I found particularly interesting. It is powered by Google Gemini and Microsoft Azure and provides real-time transcription and translation.

What I liked is that it can translate Indian languages such as Hindi and Urdu in real time. iQOO says it plans to add support for more Indian languages in the future.

Beyond these, AI Captions supports languages including Chinese, Czech, German, Hungarian, Indonesian, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Malay, Polish, Spanish, Thai, Turkish and Russian. It can also automatically detect the source language, so you do not always have to manually select the language being spoken.

While translation is happening in real time, you can tap AI Summary from the bottom bar to generate a summary. At present, the summary is available only in English.

If you need the summary in another language, you can use AI Creation’s Translate option to translate the generated English summary into your preferred language.

India’s first Dimensity 7500 Turbo phone

The iQOO Z11 is India’s first smartphone to feature the MediaTek Dimensity 7500 Turbo, which is powered by MediaTek’s 8th-generation NPU, with an independent AI processing unit added over the iQOO Z10’s Snapdragon 7s Gen 3. iQOO claims that the chipset delivers up to 2x higher AI performance compared with the previous generation.

The other major hardware highlight is the 7,050mAh battery, which is one of the biggest batteries in this segment.

I still need more time to properly test battery endurance, sustained performance and the cameras, so I am not drawing any conclusions on those aspects yet.

A bright, curved AMOLED display

The iQOO Z11 features a 6.83-inch 3D Curved AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate. The company claims it is the brightest display in its segment, with 2,000 nits HBM brightness and 3,000 nits local peak brightness. In my initial use outdoors, I found the display bright enough, with text remaining clearly visible even under bright sunlight.

The 144Hz refresh rate is immediately noticeable when scrolling through the interface, while the curved edges give the phone a more premium appearance. The large display panel also makes the phone well suited for watching videos and browsing content

Aurora Green has a subtle color-changing effect

I have been using the Aurora Green version, and it is arguably the more interesting of the two colors. The phone is also available in Celestial Blue, which can attract fingerprint marks

The green rear panel has a liquid-crystal-inspired finish. As you move the phone under light, a pale blue sheen appears across the surface, giving the back a subtle color-changing effect. The horizontal camera module houses a 50-megapixel main camera, and thankfully, it is accompanied by an ultra-wide-angle lens. Here are some shots captured using the Z11.

The iQOO Z11 launches in India on August 20 and will be positioned in the under-Rs 40,000 segment. This is only my initial hands-on experience, with the full review to follow after more extensive testing.

Redmi officially introduced its latest flagship smartphones, the Redmi K100 Pro and Redmi K100 Pro Max, in China yesterday. Just a day after launch, we are here with our first impressions of the two devices.

After going hands-on with both phones, it is clear that Redmi has made some interesting choices. The K100 Pro series brings massive batteries, fast charging, high-refresh-rate displays, upgraded cameras, and, on the Pro Max, a unique 2.1-channel speaker system.

The design, however, remains the same as the previous generation. They feature an aluminum alloy frame, a glass back, and IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance. Other useful features include NFC and an IR blaster.

The standard K100 Pro also gets an interesting green color option. Its fluorescent back can absorb light and glow in the dark. You can even shine a light on the back to create custom glowing patterns.

However, there is one downgrade. The regular K100 Pro uses a USB 2.0 port. In the box, both phones come with a 100W charger, USB cable, SIM ejector tool, documentation, and a clear hard plastic case. 

K100 Pro Max Brings a Unique Speaker Setup

One of the biggest differences between the two phones is their audio system. The Redmi K100 Pro Max features a 2.1-channel speaker system co-engineered with Bose. It includes a dedicated rear subwoofer placed next to the camera module, along with upgraded acoustic outlets and stereo speakers.

The bottom speaker module also gets a new LED accent light for some visual flair. On the contrary, the regular K100 Pro does have stereo speakers, but does not include the dedicated subwoofer. 

Another difference is that the K100 Pro Max is powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, while the standard K100 Pro uses the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5V series processor.

The 8 Elite Gen 5V is a slightly cut-down version, with four fewer GPU compute units and 6MB less GPU cache than the standard Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

Both chips are still high-end platforms and should handle demanding apps, gaming, and other heavy workloads without major problems. 

185Hz Displays on Both Models

The display is another major highlight. Both smartphones use panels with the same overall technology, with the main difference being their physical size.

The refresh rate has been increased to 185Hz, and the panels use an RGB S-strip pixel layout with improved green emissive materials. According to Redmi, the new display technology improves clarity while also reducing power consumption. 

Both phones now feature a 200MP primary camera. The K100 Pro Max retains a dedicated telephoto camera and a 17mm ultra-wide camera from its predecessor.

Interestingly, the regular K100 Pro has some advantages of its own. Its telephoto camera can also be used for macro photography, with a minimum focusing distance of just 10cm. It also offers a wider ultra-wide field of view than the Pro Max.

The standard Redmi K100 Pro comes with an 8,580 mAh battery, while the K100 Pro Max packs a battery larger than 9,000mAh. Despite the huge batteries, both support 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.

A 200MP sensor by itself doesn’t guarantee a good camera. What decides that is the lens attached to it, the size of individual pixels, and the processing that turns raw sensor data into a photo. Most of these phones don’t even shoot at 200MP by default because of what we call pixel binning. The latter is a camera technology that bins pixels together for a cleaner, but lower-resolution image and saves the full count for situations where you specifically want it, like heavy cropping or long-range zoom. 

With that out of the way, here are the best camera phones with 200MP sensors that you can get in 2026. 

Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra

If you want a 200MP camera phone without compromises on other aspects like software reliability or after-sales support, the Galaxy S26 Ultra from Samsung is the best pick. 

The phone uses an ISOCELL HP2 200MP sensor as its main unit, and interestingly, it’s the same lens that Samsung has been using since the Galaxy S23 Ultra, but with a bigger f/1.4 aperture instead of f/1.7. That’s the case for and against it. Samsung has been iterating on the same setup for a few years now, so you’re getting a known quantity rather than a leap. As a result, the images can even hold up at 3.5x cropping without losing the scene details. Not to forget, the telephoto system also runs through Vivo’s own imaging chip for noise reduction and color processing.  

The main camera is a 50MP Sony sensor co-developed with Zeiss, and with gimbal-style stabilization. 

Vivo X300 Ultra

If the X300 Pro’s single 200MP sensor isn’t enough, Vivo has the X300 Ultra that uses a 200MP for both main and telephoto units. The main camera moves to a new Sony LYTIA 901 sensor, also 200MP and at 1/1.12 inches, one of the largest sensors currently used in a phone. The telephoto keeps a 200MP Samsung HP0 sensor, now with a CIPA 7.0 stabilization rating, so you’re not trading main-camera resolution for zoom performance the way you are on the Pro.

You can even pair the X300 Ultra with an external teleconverter kit that effectively stretches the zoom range to 400mm. Most people won’t use it regularly, but it’s there if you photograph wildlife, sports, or anything else far away. 

Rounding out the setup is a 50MP ultrawide unit. This is the pick if you want high resolution everywhere rather than concentrated on one lens, and don’t mind paying the price difference over the Pro to get it.

Oppo Find X9 Pro

The raw hardware on the Find X9 Pro and the Find X9 Ultra rivals the X300 Pro and X300 Ultra, respectively — except in a few aspects. It’s the post-processing and camera tuning that makes them essentially different. 

The Find X9 Pro features a 200MP telephoto, with 3x optical zoom, f/2.1 aperture and Hasselblad tuning. In comparison, Vivo X300 Pro has a better zoom range at 3.7x, but it’s a deliberate choice that Oppo made with X9 Pro. The company is using the telephoto unit for macro shots too, as it can focus as close as 10cm. 

Moreover, Oppo says it’s using an active alignment process during assembly to keep the lens element calibrated, which the company says gives a modest resolution bump over standard manufacturing. This aside, both the main and ultrawide camera are 50MP in resolution. 

Oppo Find X9 Ultra

Moving to the Find X9 Ultra, it has 200MP sensors on two units — main and 3x telephoto. Plus, you get a 50MP ultrawide and a separate 50MP telephoto for 10x optical zoom. This is the most stacked camera phone in this list, and ensures that you have high-resolution photos at both close range and distance. 

The main sensor measures 1/1.12 inches, among the largest currently used in a phone, paired with an f/1.5 aperture. The second 200MP camera in telephoto is tuned specifically for portraits, which plays to what a larger sensor does well — softer background separation from the hardware itself. 

Oppo also has an accessory kit with a screw-on teleconverter and a grip attachment for those who want to treat their phone like a dedicated camera body. It’s a niche add-on, nonetheless, best for those who are extremely passionate about photography. Because after all, it’s going to cost you a few hundred extra dollars.

Which one should you actually get?

If you just want a capable camera and don’t want to think about it, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the safe choice. If zoom is your priority, the Vivo X300 Pro or X300 Ultra will get you further with less loss of quality. 

If you shoot a lot of portraits or close-up detail shots, the Find X9 Pro’s telephoto is built specifically for that. And if you want one phone that covers all of it without an obvious weak point, the Find X9 Ultra is the closest thing to a complete setup.

Whichever one you pick, don’t choose based on the 200MP label alone. Check where the sensor is — main camera or telephoto — since that tells you more about what the phone is actually good at than the megapixel count ever will.
