The iQOO Neo 7 Pro is set to be launched in India on July 4. Over the weekend, tipster Mukul Sharma shared a screenshot showing the upcoming device’s AnTuTu score. The same tipster has now disclosed details regarding its RAM, storage, and color options.

According to Sharma, the iQOO Neo 7 Pro will come in two variants, such as 8 GB RAM + 128 GB storage and 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage. Buyers will be able to choose from color options like Dark Storm (black) and Fearless Flame (orange). iQOO is yet to reveal the black variant of the device. However, the official teasers have revealed that the orange variant has a leather finish on the back.

Recent reports have revealed that the iQOO Neo 7 Pro will have a 6.78-inch AMOLED screen that offers a Full HD+ resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. It will have a 16-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls. On the back, it will have a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, and a 2-megapixel macro camera.

Last week, the brand confirmed that the iQOO Neo 7 Pro will feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset, which comes with support for LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.1 storage. The device will pack a 5,000mAh battery that supports 120W charging. The Neo 7 Pro will run on Android 13 with a layer of FunTouch OS 13 on top.

In related news, iQOO is gearing up to launch the iQOO 11S flagship phone as an improved version of the iQOO 11 5G in the Chinese market. iQOO 11S configurations, color options ahead of official announcement

The iQOO 11S is the next major iQOO phone for the Chinese market. Reports have revealed that it will arrive as an improved version of the iQOO 11 5G, which was announced in December 2022. The rumor mill has been consistently leaking new details about the smartphone. In a new Weibo post, leaker Digital Chat Station has revealed that the iQOO 11S will come in as many as four configurations.

Rumors are rife that the iQOO 11S will debut in China by early July. If what the tipster has revealed is true, it will be offered in four combinations of LPDDR5x RAM and UFS 4.0 storage, such as 12 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 256 GB storage, 16 GB RAM + 512 GB storage, and 16 GB RAM + 1 TB storage.

The iQOO 11S will offer three color options for consumers to choose from: Legendary version (black), Track version (white), and Qiantang Tingchao, which is a cyan shade. The third color option can be seen in the above image.

As per reports, the iQOO 11S will house a 6.78-inch E6 AMOLED panel that will produce a 2K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. It will come preloaded with Android 13 OS and OriginOS 3.0.

On the back, it will have a Sony IMX866V 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS support. There is a possibility that the phone may inherit the iQOO 11 5G’s 13-megapixel telephoto and 8-megapixel ultra-wide cameras. For selfies, it may come with a 16-megapixel front camera.

The iQOO 11S is said to be the first-ever phone to feature the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 2 chipset, which is yet to go official. The phone is likely to pack a 4,700mAh battery with 200W charging. Lastly, it is said to be equipped with other features, such as a metallic midframe, a dedicated display chip, and an in-screen fingerprint scanner.

According to the report from Revegnus, the Galaxy Z Fold 5 is expected to be priced at $1,699, which is $100 less than the price of the Galaxy Z Fold 4 when the phone was launched. As of now, this is just a rumor so we advise you to take this information with a pinch of salt.

If the leaks are to be believed, then the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 will feature a 7.6-inch QHD+ AMOLED primary display and a 6.5-inch Full HD+ AMOLED cover display, both screens offering support for a 120Hz refresh rate.

Under the hood, the smartphone will come powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 processor, coupled with 12GB of LPDDR5x RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.0 storage.

In the camera department, the phone will have a 50MP primary camera, a 12MP ultra-wide sensor, and a 10MP telephoto lens in the triple-camera setup at the back. On the front side, there will be a 12MP front-facing snapper, and is also rumored to have a 4MP under-display camera.

The foldable smartphone will run the Android 13 operating system out-of-the-box with the company’s own One UI custom user interface on top. The device will be powered by a 4,400mAh battery and come with support for 45W fast charging and 15W wireless charging.

Samsung has confirmed that the company will host its next Galaxy Unpacked event in Seoul, South Korea. While the date has not been announced yet, it is expected to take place towards the end of July, most likely on 27th July. The company is also expected to host a separate launch event in North America for the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 smartphones.

Two new color variants of the TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 smartwatch have been unveiled. The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre E4 Golden Bright and Bright Black Edition both feature an AMOLED display. They also support Bluetooth connectivity and come with a sprinkling of health and fitness sensors.

The Golden Bright Edition of the Connected Calibre E4 smartwatch has a rose gold PVD case and crown. On the other hand, the Bright Black variant of the smartwatch sports a titanium case with gold details. The Golden Bright edition has a 42mm dial while the Bright Black version has a 45mm dial. The Connected Calibre E4 Golden Bright Edition is the first in the lineup to have a full golden PVD watch case. It also sports a protective sapphire crystal and a leather strap.

The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre Golden Bright Edition has a 1.28-inch AMOLED display and a 416 x 416 pixels resolution. It comes with a compass, heart rate monitor, barometer, and microphone, among other features. The smartwatch is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon Wear 4100+ chipset.

The Connected Calibre Bright Black Edition has a sandblasted titanium case and golden lacquer coating on the ceramic bezel. It has a combined leather and rubber strap and a 454 x 454 pixels resolution. It has additional Gyroscope and Accelerometer sensors compared to the Golden Bright Edition but omits GNSS. While the Golden Bright Edition supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity, the Bright Black variant is compatible with Bluetooth 4.1.

The two smartwatches boast up to 24 hours of battery life and can be fully recharged in 1.5 hours. The TAG Heuer Connected Calibre Golden Bright Edition is already on sale for $2,300. The Bright Black Edition of the smartwatch will go on sale this June for $1,300.

Hisense has launched two sizes of the L9H Laser TV in Europe and Australia. The models are the 100-inch and the 120-inch L9H Laser TV. Both models feature TriChroma laser technology with up to 3,000 ANSI lumens of brightness.

The Hisense L9H was first showcased at CES 2023 and offers up to 107% coverage of the BT 2020 color gamut. This ultra-short throw projectors support Dolby Atmos and Dolby Vision HDR. Both models output 4K content and their light source has an expected lifetime of 25,000 hours. Both models also feature the FILMMAKER MODE.

The projectors have an ambient light-rejecting (ALR) screen that enables seamless viewing even in bright conditions. You can also stream videos and cast content from a mobile device. These functionalities are due to the presence of VIDAA U6 and Apple AirPlay/ Anyview Cast.

Wired connection options on the projector include HDMI 2.0 and USB 3.0. Both laser TVs are equipped with 40W speakers that support Dolby Atmos. The new Hisense L9H models also feature ALLM and MEMC motion smoothing technologies.

Hisense L9H Laser TV Pricing and Availability

You can control the Hisense L9H ultra-short throw laser projectors with voice commands. The availability of the model is tied currently to Europe and Australia. However, it is expected that the models will be available in the US by August 2023. The Hisense L9H 100-inch and 120-inch models are priced at €4,990 (~$5,449) and €5,990 (~$6,541) respectively. The corresponding prices in Australia are AU$ 6,499 (~$4,450) and AU$ 7,499 (~$5,135) respectively. It is unclear whether other markets will follow the unveiling of the Hisense L9H Laser TV in the US.

Xiaomi‘s independent Redmi brand earlier in March this year added the Redmi Note 12 Turbo to the Redmi Note 12 series lineup. The premium midrange model arrived in 256GB, 512GB, and 1TB storage options. The Chinese tech giant has now announced a much more affordable option – a 128GB storage version of the Note 12 Turbo.

The new Redmi Note 12 Turbo version comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage and is priced at 1799 yuan ($251) making it the cheapest model available to interested buyers. Unfortunately, the new storage option is only available to Xiaomi fans in China and there is no word yet as to when it will ship to the global market.

As a reminder, the Redmi Note 12 Turbo boasts a 6.67-inch OLED screen with an FHD+ resolution. The display outputs a peak brightness of 1,000 nits, a wide 100 percent DCI-P3 color gamut, a smooth 120Hz refresh rate, and brings support for Dolby Vision and HDR10+. Panasonic Unveils the Fully Automatic Rice Cooker SR-AX1: From Weighing Water and Rice to Cooking

Panasonic has unveiled its first fully automatic rice cooker, the SR-AX1. The rice cooker is set to go on sale in early July for 46,000 Yen. The SR-AX1 is equipped with a 600ml water tank and a 2kg rice container. Once the user specifies the quantity of rice they wish to cook, the machine automatically weighs the rice and water, then pours them into the inner pot for cooking.

In addition to this, the device supports remote operation via an application. Not only can users set the quantity of rice and the time to finish cooking, but they can also adjust the softness of the rice through the application. In other words, this rice cooker truly enables full automation of the cooking process, from weighing the water and rice to the cooking itself, with no need for manual handling after the initial settings.

BMW unveils “The Electric AI Canvas” at Art Basel with the BMW i5 as a dynamic canvas

BMW has showcased The Electric Art Canvas exhibit at the Art Basel 2023. The exhibit is an extension of The Ultimate AI Masterpiece and features contemporary artists. The unveiling marks the first time the virtual work is being exhibited physically.

The Electric AI Canvas features the BMW i5 dynamic canvas for generative art and was on display up to June 18. The exhibition of the Electric AI was in collaboration with Nathan Shipley (from Goldby, Silverstein & Partners) and Gary Yeh (from ArtDrunk). The AI models were developed by BMW upon a foundational model trained 50,000+ images spanning more than 900 years of art history. The AI generates abstract animations using contemporary and classical art styles, then projected them onto the canvas.

The BMW art canvas uses Nvidia’s NI architecture StyleGAN, to bring out artistic styles and evolving abstract animations. The AI adapts to specific artists’ work by modifying different algorithms and parameters. Such animations essentially capture the essence of the artists’ artworks. The animations are presented through projection mapping onto the i5 and incorporate distinctive artistic styles. In addition, mirrors enhance and reflect the animations for an immersive viewing experience for art enthusiasts.

The experts driving the project in collaboration with BMW, Shipley, and Yeh focused on AI’s ability to support and amplify artists’ visions. This responsible and thoughtful experimentation with AI, according to BMW, helps to reinforce its commitment to human-centered tech and sustainability.

The BMW i5 was launched as part of the 2024 S series models. It has an 84.3kWh battery and a range of up to 295 miles. The BMW i5 eDrive40 offers 335hp and a torque of 295Nm. It can reach 60mph in just 5.7 seconds and has a top speed of 120mph. The M60 has a rating of 590hp and achieves 60mph in 3.7 seconds. That model has a top speed of 143mph.

TCL has unveiled a new range of its Q Class and S Class soundbars in the US. The theme of the new TCL soundbar series is Home theater made better. They come with several features and impressive output. Two soundbars were released from the Q series and three soundbars from the S series.

The new soundbars feature DTS Virtual X-enhanced surround sound and wireless connectivity. The five new models are the premium 5.1 channel Q6510, Q6310, S4210, S4310, and S4510. The Q Class models support Bluetooth connectivity for wireless audio streaming and the wired connections include HDMI. The models come with dual rear speakers for a decent sound experience.

The Q6310 has a 340W output and a 3.1 channel setup while the Q6510 outputs 430W. The model has a wireless subwoofer in place of separate speakers in the premium model. It however retains support for Dolby Audio and DTS Virtual: X 3D effects. The S4210 is a 2.1-channel soundbar and outputs 200W audio power. On the other hand, the 3.1-channel S4310 outputs 240W while the flagship S4510 soundbar maxes at 300W. The S4310 has a central speaker while the S4510 features dual rear speakers.

Prices & Availability

The three new TCL S Class soundbars are available at a starting price ranging from $149.99 to $229.99. The two Q Class soundbars are priced at $229.99 and $279.99 respectively. vTCL has not provided the global availability details of the new lineup of soundbars. It is however that they may be released in selected markets subsequently.

China a major transit point for Japanese semiconductors to Russia

Russia has been facing a global backlash for its invasion of Ukraine. Many countries have condemned the invasion and imposed sanctions on Russia, which have caused economic difficulties for the country. Some companies, such as Apple and Samsung, have also withdrawn from Russia. This was intended to put pressure on the Russian government to withdraw from Ukraine, but it has not yet had the desired effect.

Japan has imposed sanctions on Russia, but Japanese-made semiconductors are still finding their way into the country. This is because the semiconductors are being sent through intermediary countries, such as China. Japan’s Foreign Exchange Law only applies to direct exports from Japan, so it is difficult for the Japanese government to stop the flow of semiconductors through third-party countries.

In 2022, Japan exported $11 million worth of semiconductors to Russia. China was the top destination for these exports, accounting for over 70% of the shipments, followed by South Korea and Turkey. The Japanese government has tightened its export controls on semiconductors, but it is still difficult to stop the flow of these products to Russia. Unfortunately, it is unknown whether this extra measures will work or not.
