The OnePlus 6 launch is set to get unveiled in London on May 16, followed by local launch events in Mumbai and Beijing on May 17th. The company has also planned popup-events in several cities on May 21 where it will allow the fans to purchase the OnePlus 6 before its official release date.
The OnePlus 6 will feature a 6.28-inch Full-HD+ AMOLED display with screen resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels, having 19:9 aspect ratio and a notch. However, the company has already confirmed that the users will have an option to hide the notch. Under the hood, it is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 845 processor, coupled with Adreno 630 graphics processor.
The phone is expected to be available in 6GB RAM and 8GB RAM with 128GB internal storage or 256GB onboard storage, based on the variant. It will feature a dual camera setup on the back, packing a 20-megapixel sensor and a 16-megapixel camera lens, while the front-facing camera sensor will be of 16-megapixel.
The smartphone will be running Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with the company’s own OxygenOS user interface on top. It is expected to be fueled by a 3,300mAh battery with support for the company’s own fast charging technology — Dash Charge 2.0.
After launching Honor 10 in China last month, Huawei‘s sub-brand Honor has now launched its flagship smartphone in the Indian market. The launch for the Indian market was announced at an event held in London, where the phone was also launched globally.
In India, the Honor 10 has been priced at Rs. 32,999, which roughly converts to $485. The phone will be available for purchase through homegrown online marketplace Flipkart. It’ll also be available to buy via Hi Honor online store in India.
Design-wise, the phone comes with a new kind of design, which is a departure from what we have seen from the company in the past. The smartphone features an aluminum frame with glass back that shifts color depending on how you hold it and how the light hits the surface.
The Honor 10 features a 5.84-inch Full-HD+ FullView Display with 2280 x 1080 pixels screen resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. There’s a notch on top of the display, which the company says it has been planning since past four years.
Under the hood, the smartphone is powered by the company’s own octa-core HiSilicon Kirin 970 chipset, which consists of four Cortex-A73 cores clocked at 2.36GHz and four Cortex-A53 cores clocked at 1.8GHz, and a dedicated neural processing unit.
The chipset is coupled with 6GB of RAM and the phone packs 128GB internal storage. There’s also another variant of the device which packs 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage, however, the company has decided not to launch that model in the Indian market.
As of the photography, the Honor 10 comes with a dual camera setup at the back, featuring a 16-megapixel sensor with f/1.8 aperture and phase detection autofocus. The secondary sensor is a 24-megapixel monochrome sensor, which can be proved helpful in low-light conditions. On the front side, there’s a 24-megapixel camera with AI features.
Connectivity options on the smartphone include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11ac, Bluetooth v4.2, GPS/ A-GPS, NFC, USB Type-C, and a 3.5mm headphone jack. The phone sports a 7.1 multi-channel Hi-Fi audio chip with support for 7-channel sound effects. The smartphone is running Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box and is powered by a 3,400mAh battery with Honor Supercharge — the company’s fast charging technology.
Priced at Rs. 32,999, the smartphone will be available in two colors – Phantom Blue and Midnight Black. Buyers on Flipkart will get a 10 percent instant discount with Axis Bank and debit cards, as well as Rs. 1,200 cashback offer on Jio along with 100GB additional data, and Rs. 3,300 worth of partner vouchers.
Finally, after months of leaks and teasers, OnePlus 6 will see the light of day. On May 16, the former Chinese startup owned by BBK Electronics will showcase its 2018 flagship in a dedicated event. It is going to be a stunning smartphone, but it will also be cheaper than the most top-end flagship. Despite the lower price, it will be as powerful as the Samsung Galaxy S9 and iPhone X.
Here, you can find 5 features of the upcoming handset which may get attract your attention.
OnePlus 6 will have a premium design
Aesthetically, OnePlus 6 will be much more attractive than all of its predecessor. For the first time ever, there will be a rear side made of glass which will make the phone have a premium look. Further, OnePlus 6 will have an iPhone X-like notched display, and this means that the screen-to-body ratio will be very high. There will still be a chin, but its thickness will be low and the display will cover almost the whole front panel. Thanks to the tri-bezel-less design, the handset will remain as compact as its predecessor even though the display will be very wide (19:9 aspect ratio). Unfortunately, the fingerprint reader will remain on the back, but there will be an advanced facial recognition technology to unlock the phone.
OnePlus 6 will boast amazing performance
Devices by OnePlus have always been among the most powerful flagships in terms of performance. OnePlus 5 and 5T were the best phones on benchmarks for a lot of time. They are incredibly fast and smooth in every scenario, and this is one of the main reasons why people choose OnePlus devices. The new OnePlus 6 will probably provide an even better performance as its hardware side will be more advanced. The handset will sport an octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset running at a max frequency of 2.8 GHz which is much more impressive than its predecessor SD835 found on the 5T. Further, it will have up to 8 GB of RAM and up to 128 GB of UFS internal storage.
OnePlus 6 is waterproof
For the first time ever, a OnePlus device has got the waterproof treatment. A recent teaser has confirmed that OnePlus 6 will be water-resistant and it will be possible to use it under the rain with no damages. Unfortunately, the former Chinese startup did not disclose the IP rating of the device, but given that it has been officially teased we expect OnePlus 6 to have either the IP67 or IP68 certification. In the first case, it would be dustproof and waterproof up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes at max, while the IP68 rating would make it waterproof up to 1.5 meters deep. According to the company, the older OnePlus 5 and 5T are splash resistant but no IP rating has been included in their specs sheet.
OnePlus 6 will sport improved cameras with AI
OnePlus 6 will come with a dual camera setup on its back with 20 + 16 MP dual lenses. This camera will be significantly improved if we compare it with the cameras of OP5 and 5T. The CEO Pete Lau has already published some camera samples which revealed a stunning photo quality with an incredibly high detail and a low amount of noise even in low light conditions. Further, the company has revealed through a teaser that the camera will support AI, probably for scene recognition, selfie beautification and more. The camera is expected to come with optical stabilization unlike the previous models, and it should have a bright f/1.7 aperture. There is still no confirmation regarding the front camera, but we believe it will come with a high amount of Megapixels. You can click here to see a camera comparison between OnePlus 6 and some of the best camera phones actually available.
OnePlus 6 price will remain affordable
Even though OnePlus 6 will cost slightly more than its older sibling 5T, its price will remain affordable compared with the most important flagships in the market. In Europe, it’s expected to come with a price tag of €519 for the version with 64 GB of storage and €569 for the 128 GB version. The 5T started from €499 for the base variant, but it’s also worth mentioning that Samsung, as well as Apple and Huawei, have raised the prices of their most powerful flagships which are actually way more expensive than OnePlus 6.

A new Xiaomi phone labelled as “Xiaomi StRaKz” has appeared on Geekbench benchmarking platform. The specs of the phone that have surfaced through the Geekbench listing suggests it could be yet another budget phone from the company.
The Geekbench listing of the Xiaomi Strakz has revealed that it is yet another phone from the company that is driven by the Snapdragon 625 SoC. Xiaomi has used the same chipset to power smartphones like Redmi S2, Redmi Note 5, Redmi 5 Plus, Redmi Note 4, Redmi Note 4X, Redmi 4 Prime, Mi Max 2, Mi A1 and Mi 5X.
The SD625 SoC on the Xiaomi Strakz phone is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM. It is preinstalled with Android 8.1.0 Oreo. In single-core test, the Strakz phone has scored 902 points and in multi-core test, it has recorded a score of 1536 points. Even though 4 GB RAM is seen assisting the SoC, the benchmark scores are quite low. Also, the base frequency of the Snapdragon 625 is mentioned 0 MHz for Strakz phone. This could be because of the system software bug.
The SD625 is a power-efficient SoC and it has been recently used to power budget-friendly smartphones. There is a possibility that the Strakz phone could be the Redmi 6 phone or it could be some other phone from Xiaomi.
Xiaomi has set a target of achieving shipments of 100 million units this year. In India, it has already dethroned Samsung by capturing the market for mid-range phones. This year too, Xiaomi’s mid-range phones are expected to significantly the company to meet its shipments target.

In the previous month, Android Headlines had revealed some of the key features of the forthcoming LG V35 ThinQ smartphone. However, the specs of the phone have remained under the wraps. A leaked specs sheet of the LG V35 ThinQ has surfaced online. It reveals that the V35 ThinQ will be the second smartphone from the South Korean company to feature the Snapdragon 845 SoC.
At the beginning of this month, LG had launched the G7 ThinQ as its first flagship phone for 2018. Now that the rumor mill has revealed the specs sheet of the V35 ThinQ, it appears that its launch could be drawing near. The leaked specs sheet has revealed that it features a 6-inch FullVision OLED display that will deliver FHD+ resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels.
The Snapdragon 845 SoC of the LG V35 is accompanied by 6 GB of RAM. It is speculated to arrive with an internal storage of 128 GB. Like the G7 ThinQ, the V35 ThinQ is speculated to arrive with Android 8.1 Oreo preinstalled. The handset will receive power from a 3,000mAh battery. Its battery is 300mAh smaller than G7 ThinQ.
For photography, it will feature a pair of 16-megapixel snappers. It has been already revealed through a previous report that the handset will be featuring the same dual rear cameras that are available on the LG G7 ThinQ. Also, it will be featuring the same 8-megapixel front-facing camera found on the G7 ThinQ.
The recently leaked renders of the LG V35 ThinQ shows that its design will be similar to the V30S ThinQ phone as it won’t be featuring a notched display like the G7 ThinQ. The leaked renders of the phone have also revealed that it will be available exclusively through AT&T in the U.S.
The V35 ThinQ has been certified by the Federal Communications Commission and it also approval by an equivalent body in Russia. As of this writing, there is no information available on the launch date of the LG V35 ThinQ. Since it borrows features like chipset, dual rear cameras and front camera from the recently launched G7 ThinQ, it seems that the South Korean company may launch it in early third quarter of the year. Some reports have claimed that it may get official in the month of August. The firm is also rumored to be working on V40 (codenamed as Storm) flagship phone. It is rumored to debut by fall this year.
The international variant of the OnePlus 5 and OnePlus 5T already received the Android 8.1 Oreo update last month. Now it is the turn of the Chinese variants.
This shouldn’t be news anymore but for those who don’t know, the OnePlus phones sold in China run a different Android-based OS called HydrogenOS.
The update comes as HydrogenOS 5.1.0 on both devices and comes in at a little over 1.9GB. For the OnePlus 5T, the update brings full-screen gestures. The remaining features such as dynamic clock icon, automatic folder naming, cloud photo backup, game mode optimization etc. are the same on both devices.
LG officially unveiled its latest flagship – the G7 ThinQ in China a fortnight ago. The device is yet to go on sale but pre-orders have gone live in Canada and it is a rather interesting one. LG is offering all those who pre-order the flagship smartphone in Canada a 43-inch LG 4K UHD Smart TV.
The offer is only available to those who buy from any of the participating retailers and carriers. The Korean giant shared the list of participating retailers and carriers and the list is quite robust. The promotional activity surrounds the pre-order will begin on May 18 and will end on May 31. That is a whole lot of time for those living in Canada to get their credit cards ready in order to grab a unit.
The LG G7 ThinQ features a 6.1-inch FullVision QHD+ screen with a notch at the top and a 19.5:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor found in other flagships like the Samsung Galaxy S9/S9+ and the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2s.
Xiaomi has introduced a new product on its crowdfunding platform. This time around, it is a microwave and as at the time of filing this report, the product is up for support on the Youpin crowdfunding page and the response has been overwhelming so far. The crowdfunding target was 10,000 yuan but that has been surpassed by up to 143%. The OCooker microwave is manufactured by one of Xiaomi’s eco-chain company- Guangdong Kitchen Technology Co., Ltd. The company will also handle after-sale services in China.
The Ocooker microwave comes with a clean and radiant appearance. It has a rectangular shape with an 18L capacity and the body has a smooth finishing. The edges are not sharp but curved. The microwave equally comes with 6 classic retro mechanical buttons and a knob, all having chrome finish. It has a quick start button which makes it easy for teenagers to operate.
On the internal components, the Ocooker microwave utilizes Toshiba’s fifth-generation innovative magnetron. It comes with a microcrystalline ceramic plate and reaches a 700W speed power. In addition, it disseminates a 360-degree three-dimensional uniform heat thus you get a perfect taste of your food item since all the sides, top and bottom will be uniformly heated. Have you gotten over the fact that the Smartisan R1 has 1TB of built-in storage? If you have then you should read on for Smartisan’s second product launched today – the Smartisan TNT Workstation All-in-One PC.
Smartisan TNT Design
The Smartisan TNT Workstation reminds us of the Microsoft Surface Studio. However, unlike the Surface Studio, it doesn’t run Windows and it comes in Dark Gray.
The display is massive at 27-inches and can be adjusted to three different angles. It also has touch controls on the bezels which are sort of like shortcuts to certain apps and features. At the base sits a plethora of ports on both sides.
Smartisan TNT Workstation Specs
The Smartisan TNT Workstation has a 27-inch IPS 10-point multi-touch display with a 3840 x 2160 resolution and a 100% sRGB. The display can be adjusted between 36° and 90°. The TNT Workstation also comes with a full-sized Bluetooth keyboard and mouse.

The Workstation comes with a dock for connecting the Smartisan R1. When connected, the OS automatically switches to desktop mode.
Smartisan OS 6.66 has been specially made to offer a desktop-like experience. You can decide to use the workstation in touch input mode or by traditional input method (keyboard and mouse). There are custom office programs (TNT Word, TNT PPT, and TNT Excel) with live animation preview, voice input, and command support, text drag and drop, and text style modification.
There is also Bullet SMS for managing communication. Bullet SMS syncs messages from multiple devices including iOS and other versions of Android.

Smartisan has taken the wraps off its latest flagship, the Smartisan R1. Not only is it an amazing piece of mobile device, it has also set a world record, one that we may not see any other manufacturer break anytime soon.
Smartisan R1 Design
Smartisan is one manufacturer that stands out with its design and the R1 doesn’t disappoint. In a world where notches reign supreme, Smartisan has embraced the trend but has decided to follow the path of the Essential PH-1.
The display practically reaches the top with a cut-out for the front-facing camera and a slit for the earpiece. There is a moderately-sized bezel at the bottom which gives the Smartisan R1 an 84% screen-to-body ratio.
The rear of the phone is covered in 3D glass and the grade 7 aluminum frame has that thin line we have come to see on recent Smartisan phones. The fingerprint scanner is buried under the Smartisan logo and the buttons are circular.
Smartisan R1 Specs
Smartisan has packed flagship specs into this device but has also set a record with it. For the first time in the history of mobile phones, we have a device with 1TB of built-in storage! Yes, the Smartisan R1 has 1 terabyte of internal storage and its UFS 2.1. The rest of the specs are also impressive.
It has a 6.17-inch pressure sensitive display with a 2242 x 1080 resolution and an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It is covered with Gorilla Glass 3, has a 1500:1 contrast ratio, and a 96% color gamut (DCI-P3).
There is a Snapdragon 845 processor under the hood clocked at 2.8GHz paired with an Adreno 630 GPU. It comes in four variants:
6GB RAM + 64GB storage
6GB RAM + 128GB storage
8GB RAM + 128GB storage
8GB RAM + 1TB storage.
The Smartisan R1 has dual rear cameras. The primary sensor is a 12MP Sony IMX363 sensor with a f/1.8 aperture, 1.4 μm pixel size, 4-axis OIS, and dual PD extreme focus. The second is a 20MP Sony IMX350 with a f/1.75 aperture, 1μm pixel size, and 6P lens.
The front camera is a 24MP sensor with a f/2.0 aperture ArcSoft ray algorithm and AI real-time beauty mode.
The R1 has support for Bluetooth 5.0, dual-band Wi-Fi, NFC+eSE, and has a USB-C port with Display Port 1.4. It also has dual SIM support (nano only) and global LTE band support.
The Smartisan R1 joins the very short list of devices that support Quick Charge 4+. That means you should be able to refill its 3600mAh battery as fast as possible. It also supports Power Delivery 3.0 and 10W wireless charging. Sadly, it doesn’t have an IP-rating and also ditches the audio jack.
Last week, the Chief Product Officer of HMD Global, Juhi Sarvikas, hinted at the Nokia 5 (2018)’ existence when a fan asked about it. It appears it won’t be the only entry level/lower mid-range Nokia phone from last year getting a successor. Apparently, the Nokia 2 and Nokia 3 will also be getting new models this year.
Back in February during MWC, the CMO of HMD Global Pekka Rantala disclosed in an interview that there will be new Nokia 2, Nokia 3, and Nokia 5 models. A user agent profile has confirmed the existence of the Nokia 3 (2018) or Nokia 3.1.
The Nokia 3.1 is running Android 8.0 Oreo and that is the only information revealed by the user agent profile. The rest of the specs may leak later before the launch.
The first-gen Nokia 3 has a 5.0-inch HD display, 2GB of RAM, 16GB of expandable storage, and a MediaTek MT6737 processor. It also has a single 8MP rear camera and another 8MP front-facing camera along with a 2630mAh battery.
Tomorrow, HMD Global will be launching the Nokia X6 smartphone in China. However, plenty of information of the smartphone have already surfaced before its official announcement. It was recently revealed that the Nokia X6 will be carrying a price tag of 1,499 Yuan (~$235). Today, a couple of press renders of the Nokia X6 have appeared to reveal its design, specs and key features.
The Nokia X6 will be arriving with a notched display design like the iPhone X. The above image shows that it has a slightly thick bottom bezel that features the Nokia branding. The notch of the phone houses a front-facing camera, an earpiece and a proximity sensor. The glass back of the Nokia X6 has a vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner. The below images show some of the key features of the phone.
It shows that the Nokia X6 has a 5.8-inch display that supports FHD+ resolution and 19:9 aspect ratio. The Snapdragon 636 chipset powers the X6. The dual camera setup includes a 16-megapixel primary sensor and a secondary 5-megapixel sensor. The dual rear cameras are equipped with features like AI and HDR.
For shooting selfies, it has a frontal camera of 16-megapixel that comes with intelligent 3D blur and beauty filters. The front-facing camera of the Nokia X6 has been optimized to capture impressive selfie shots in low-light conditions. The handset will come loaded with Android 8.1 Oreo. It seems that it could be yet another Android One phone from the company. For immersive gaming experience, it will provide users with Do Not Disturb mode.
The Nokia X6 is fueled by a 3,060mAh battery that is enabled with support for 18W Quick Charge 3.0 rapid charging. By charging the X6 only for 30 minutes, it can gain 50 percent of battery power.
Starting from 3:30 PM (local time) in China, the reservations of the Nokia X6 have begun on Suning. The actual sales of the smartphone will kick off from May 21. The Nokia X6 phone featuring 4 GB of RAM and 64 GB of native storage is priced at 1,499 Yuan (~$235). The handset is also expected to be available in a higher variant featuring 6 GB of RAM and 64 GB of inbuilt storage. As of this writing, there is no information available on the pricing of this variant.
The Nokia X6 is expected to be positioned between the Nokia 6 (2018) and Nokia 7 Plus. The Nokia 7 phone from last year and the Nokia 6 (2018) are powered by the Snapdragon 630 chipset. Hence, it is speculated that the Nokia X6 may replace the Nokia 7 smartphone.

The British Museum logo is stamped at the back of the protective skin. The new limited-edition model also comes in a cool customized packaging box.
In addition, the Art Special Edition has installed several exclusive themes built around the Renaissance period. Of course, that is because the design was inspired by the famous Renaissance artwork The Majolica Pottery housed in the British Museum. The artwork is designed onto the box casing and the protective case. In terms of specification, the ARt Special Edition of the Mix 2s comes with the same 5.99-inch 2160 x 1080p full-screen and is powered by a Snapdragon 845 chipset. The processor is paired with 8GB LPDDR4X memory and there is a 128GB UFS 2.1 flash memory. The device gets its juice from a 3,400mAH battery with wireless charging support.
The Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S Art Special Edition went on sale in China on May 10 and the first sale was over in less than a minute. The next sales would be on May 16 and we don’t expect it to tarry for long before the stock gets exhausted. As for the price, it comes a bit higher at 4,299 Yuan (~$675), inclusive of a free wireless charger. There is still no information on its global launch. Smartisan is all set to announce its flagship of this year, the Smartisan Nut R1, at 7.30PM Beijing time today. We will be covering the event in an hour, but before that, the phone seems to have passed through the TENAA certification agency. The company was successful in keeping the phone off the internet all this while, but now that it’s on TENAA, we have got to know a lot about its design.
Smartisan may not be a brand that’s as popular as Xiaomi or Huawei, but it does have a loyal set of fan following in China, thanks to its different approach to smartphones. The company is known to make beautiful designs, and that trend will likely continue with the new R1.
On the front, the phone seems to have a hidden ear piece design, kind of what we saw on the Smartisan Nut 3 earlier this year. What’s interesting is that we can’t spot the camera sensor up front. It could be placed on its chin at the bottom.

Coming to the back, the Smartisan Nut R1 will feature dual cameras and a dual LED flash. There’s a huge Smartisan logo at the back that’s likely to act as a fingerprint sensor too. On the right, you have the standard volume buttons and a power button. But what’s really interesting is the additional button on the left. It’s round and kind of huge as compared to the overall form factor of the phone, which indicates that it’s meant for some specific and important purpose. Maybe it’s a dedicated assistant button, similar to what we saw on the LG G7 with a Google Assistant button. It may also be for some dedicated AI feature, but we can’t be sure of that at the moment.
What we do know is that the Smartisan Nut R1 will feature Snapdragon 845, IMX363 CMOS sensor (one of the sensors from the dual camera setup), and wireless charging.
We don’t have to wait for too long to get all the official details about the new flagship. Event kicks off in about an hour, so make sure to check back on gizmochina for the launch article. It should be an exciting product that you may never get to purchase.
There are a number of flagship phones launching this month. HTC will announce the HTC U12+ on the 23rd and Xiaomi may also announce the Mi 7 on the same day too. However, there may be another flagship phone coming from China this month and that is the Nubia Z18.
Nubia released the Nubia Z18 Mini last month, so it is not surprising that fans are eager for the arrival of the Nubia Z18 itself. While we wait for a launch date to be announced, the Nubia Z18 has been benchmarked on AnTuTu and the score is insane.
The Nubia Z18 scored 280,085 points on AnTutu. This is higher than the score of the Mi MIX 2s (273,741) and the ASUS Zenfone 5Z (274,499) – both powered by the Snapdragon 845 like the Nubia Z18. The Z18 is also said to come with 8GB of RAM.
Earlier today, Xiaomi confirmed that it will be holding a launch event in Shenzhen. However, it did not confirm on the date and time for the event. It is speculated that the Chinese firm will use the Shenzhen platform to announce its new flagship phone. Rumors have it that two smartphones namely, Xiaomi Mi 7 and Xiaomi’s 8th Anniversary Edition smartphone by the end of this month. A leaked photo of the structured 3D light module has appeared on Weibo. At first, it was speculated to be the image of the TrueDepth Camera and Face ID system of the iPhone X. However, a careful look at it reveals that the structured 3D light module is significantly different from what is present on the iPhone X. Moreover, the image also shows a modified version of the MIUI for the notch.
Xiaomi Mi 8 3D Face Recognition
A tipster from China claims that the 8th Anniversary Edition phone from the company will be launching as the Xiaomi Mi 8. He has also added that the leaked image could belong to Mi 8’s 3D facial recognition module.
Previous reports have claimed that the 3D facial recognition solution for Xiaomi’s upcoming flagship phone is being jointly developed by Qualcomm, Himax Technologies and Truly Opto-electronics. It is speculated that the Xiaomi Mi 8 may debut as the first Android phone with support for 3D facial scanning.
The Apple iPhone X that was launched last year is the world’s first phone to support 3D facial recognition. The Face ID feature on the iPhone X allows it to carry out authentication by scanning the face of the user in 3D. The structured light 3D module of the iPhone X includes a TrueDepth Camera that captures the face data accurate by analyzing more than 30,000 invisible dots to make a depth map on the face of the user. At the same time, it also captures an infrared image of the face.
Apple iPhone X Face ID 3D Face Recognition
The neural engine of the A11 Bionic SoC springs into action to convert the depth map and infrared image into a mathematical representation which is then matched with registered facial data of the user. The Face ID is so secure that it can be not only used for securely unlocking the iPhone, but also for authenticating payments on it. Apple was so confident about the Face ID that it decided the axe the Touch ID fingerprint scanning feature from iPhone X.
The Xiaomi Mi 8 is expected to offer such kind of robust security through its 3D facial scanning feature. Like the iPhone X, it may not feature a fingerprint scanner. However, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had recently hint the Mi 7 will be coming with an under-display fingerprint scanner. Hence, it may so happen that the Mi 7 may not feature 3D face scanning but come with in-screen fingerprint reader.
Just before the announcement of the Smartisan R1 flagship later today, the manufacturer has released another phone – the Smartisan Nut Pro 2 Special Edition. The new phone has been listed on JD.com.
