Xiaomi has been busy this year, with new product lineups and partnerships. Just yesterday, the company officially released the top-end Xiaomi Mi Note Pro flagship. However, the company had already revealed the device back in January, which meant that the Mi Note Pro launch was not exactly a new release.
But it looks like the company has four new handsets for release in the second half of 2015. A leaked product roadmap reveals some of the specs as well as release schedule of the four handsets.
The Xiaomi Mi5 and Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 launches were expected later this year. But what comes as a surprise is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro and the Xiaomi Mi4S launches. Yes, it looks like the company will first release the Mi4S in June and then, later launch the Mi5 in November.
The leak also shows off some of the specs of the device. So, the Xiaomi Mi4S which will launch in June is expected to come with the new Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 MSM8994 processor with a 5-inch full HD 1080p display, 13MP OIS camera and a 4MP Ultrapixel front facing camera.
A month later, i.e. in July, the company will reportedly launch the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 and the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 Pro versions. The Redmi Note 2 Pro will feature a full HD 5.5-inch display with MSM8939 processor (snapdragon 615). On the other hand, the regular Redmi Note 2 version will feature a 5.5-inch HD display just like the current generation Redmi Note and MSM8919 (Snapdragon 410 chipset). Both will feature 13MP and 5MP camera units on the rear and the front respectively.
As for the Xiaomi Mi5, the phone is expected to debut in November this year with the new Snapdragon 820 chipset. It is said the the Mi5 will feature a 5.2-inch display with WQHD display and a 20.2MP rear camera.
While this news will definitely excite a lot of Xiaomi fans around the world, remember that the leak comes via Weibo and we are not sure whether its 100% true. So, like always, we advise you to take this news with a pinch of salt.
It is also worth noting that above the Xiaomi leak, you can also see the product roadmap for Huawei’s smartphones including Ascend D8, Mate 8 and the Honor 7 which was leaked a few days before.
Several online retailers have started offering the Ulefone Be Pro smartphone for a discounted price from today. The phone which usually retailed for more than $170 is now available for purchasefor just $149.99. This makes it a great deal considering the specs and the overall looks of the device.
All the three variants, namely the Sandstone Black, Dark Blue and Silk White models are available for purchase at the $149.99 price tag. To recap on the specs, the phone features a quad-core 64-bit MT6732 processor with 2GB RAM and a 5.5-inch HD display. The phone supports FDD-LTE networks and will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop version after an OTA update. The camera is a bit of a disappointment, but other than that, the Be Pro is a solid device.
So, if you are looking for a good looking handset with decent specs, the Ulefone Be Pro turns out to be a good buy.
The Chinese smartphone market have come to a whole new level this year, with companies like Nubia, Vivo and Xiaomi proving that they can make top-end smartphones at an affordable price tag. With all these companies making a buzz in the market, yesterday, OnePlus CEO Liu Zuohu asked his fans the reasonable price for a Snapdragon 810 powered OnePlus device.
oneplus two concept
Despite the criticisms about the Snapdragon 810 chipset, most renowned manufacturers have decided to go with this top-end Qualcomm chipset and its likely that the coming generation of Oneplus, i.e. the OnePlus Two may also feature this processor. So, when Liu asked to his fans, “If OnePlus Two comes with Snapdragon 810, what do you think will be the price?”, many responded with different figures.
However, it looks like the some managed to give out a reasonable figure. A few hours back, Liu posted on his Weibo that 2499 Yuan seems to be a reasonable price. So, it looks like the upcoming OnePlus Two smartphone could be priced around 2499 Yuan.
OnePlus has always been popular for its value for money handsets and despite many claims that the upcoming flagship may turn out to be a bit costly, it looks like the company will try to keep the price affordable.
According to earlier reports, the OnePlus Two will debut in the third quarter of 2015 with Snapdragon 810, 4GB RAM and a 5.5-inch 2K screen. Its even said that the phone will feature a fingerprint sensor, but the company is yet to confirm its specs.
Anyways, stay tuned for more information in the coming months.
For the past few weeks, Vivo has been continuously teasing its upcoming flagship, the Vivo X5Pro. We already know a lot about this device, thanks to these teasers and looks like the company will announce the launch date of the device later today.
Vivo revealed to its fans via its official Weibo page that the company was going to announce something important later today. While, it did not specify what to expect from the announcement, we guess it could be the launch date reveal of the much anticipated Vivo X5Pro.
From the recent leaks and teasers, the Vivo X5Pro is turning out to be an interesting device. The phone is confirmed to feature a double sided 2.5D arch glass design along with a metal frame. The company itself said that the front facing camera will be powerful enough to capture 32MP resolution images. And we may even see a retina scanner on the device, which will be the first time, a well known phone brand incorporates this tech into a smartphone. The eye recognition system is said to be much more secure and better than fingerprint because it recognizes pattern of the veins in the eyes of the user. So, its almost impossible to crack the code by a third party.
Recent leak even showed us a glowing Vivo logo just below the display which may even act as the home button. However, the company is yet to confirm the presence of such a glowing button. As for the specs, it is said that the phone will feature octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor with 3GB RAM, Android 5.0 OS, a powerful rear camera with PDAF (Phase Detection Auto Focus) and a 3500mAh battery. The X5Pro is also rumored to feature the new USB Type-C port along with a powerful audio chipset.
Well, if the company is really going to announce the launch date of the device, it should be sometime before the end of this month. Stay tuned for more information.
Although a relatively new brand, Ulefone has established itself as a maker of affordable yet good looking flagships. The company managed to create thousands of fans within a short span of time with its Ulefone Be Pro smartphone. Now, its all set to attract the attention of the tech savvy crowd with the brand new Ulefone Be Touch.
Like its name suggests, the highlight of the smartphone will be its advanced fingerprint recognition embedded into the home button. As a result, its convenient to unlock your smartphone that too with added security.
Just yesterday, we revealed a few details about the company’s uTouch fingerprint recognition system and today, we get to see the fingerprint unlock function in real life. What’s more, the video compares Ulefone Be Touch’s fingerprint unlock directly with the iPhone 6 Plus which is considered one of the best fingerprint systems on a phone right now.
From the first video, we can see that the unlock times with the fingerprint sensor activated is almost the same as the iPhone 6 Plus. In less than a second, the phone gets unlocked which is really a great achievement.
We also get to see a direct comparison with another great flagship in the market, the Huawei Mate 7. Even the fingerprint sensor on the Mate 7 is at par with that on the Be Touch.
The specs are also pretty high-end. The phone features MT6752 octa-core chip with 3GB RAM on board which should be enough to handle any application. There will be a 5.5-inch HD display up front. The rear camera will be of 13MP while the front shooter will be of 5MP. Finally there will be a 2550mAh battery on board. Ulefone has also promised the Android 5.0 Lollipop update for the device in the coming months.
Earlier today, Qihoo 360 and Coolpad jointly announced a new venture, a brand new smartphone company called as QiKU. We have been hearing a lot about this new brand name, and earlier leak even said that the brand will be named as WuKong. But it looks like the company has decided to go with a name that shows the presence of both the companies, Qihoo 360 as well as Coolpad.
Qihoo 360 Chairman and CEO, Mr. Zhou said that QiKU will unveil three new smartphones in the market. However, he failed to give us any specific details regarding the possible configuration of these devices. He did say that users will be able to uninstall all the apps that comes with the device. So, it looks like the anti-virus apps and other security apps from Qihoo 360 can be removed from the device.
As for the pricing, QiKU phones were rumored to retail for more than 5000 Yuan. However, Mr. Zhou dismisses those claims and says that the phone will be launched almost at hardware/ production cost. The company will focus on internet channels to market and sell the device to reduce overheads.
Qihoo 360 and Coolpad announced its joint venture to enter the smart phone industry back in December last year. In this regard, Qihoo 360 has a 45% stake in the company, and the other 55% of the shares are held by Coolpad.
Gionee Elife S7 was released way back in 2013, which means the company has not released a successor in more than a year. We have been hearing a lot about the upcoming flagship, the Gionee Elife E8 lately, which will succeed the S7 and the device has just hit TENAA revealing most of the specs of the device.
The Gionee Elife E8 is clearly targeted to compete with the Huawei Ascend Mate 7, sporting a massive 6-inch display with 2K resolution. The listing further adds that the display will use an AMOLED panel. The processor under the hood will be an octa-core chip clocked at 2GHz (most likely Snapdragon 810). There will be 3GB RAM and 32GB storage which can be further expanded via MicroSD.
One of the highlights of the device will be its rear camera. TENAA confirms the presence of a massive 23MP sensor at the back, which should definitely take clear pictures. Up front, you have an 8MP shooter ideal for selfies. Given the large display, Gionee has managed to fit in a big battery inside. You can expect more than a day’s usage with its 3520mAh battery. However, on the downside, the device is 9.6mm thick and weighs a hefty 205 grams.
The phone will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with Gionee’s own Amigo OS 3.0. It will also feature a rear facing fingerprint sensor much like the Mate 7. Pricing details have not been revealed till now, but it is said that the phone will release sometime around June this year. So, stay tuned for more information.
Right on schedule, Xiaomi has officially released the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro flagship in Beijing, China. The device was already announced back in January, but now its finally released publicly.
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is one of the best looking handsets in the market right now. The phone comes with a beautiful gold frame with double glass body. Other design aspects remain the same as the regular version. As a result, the phone retains the same 155.1x 77.6x 6.96mm body dimensions.
As for the tech specs, the top end Mi Note version sports a 5.7-inch Sharp /JDI 2K display and will be powered by the third generation Snapdragon 810 chipset. It is said that the Snapdragon v1.2 manages to break the 60,000 mark on AnTuTu which even the HTC flagship struggled to achieve. The processor is supported by 4GB RAM and 64GB inbuilt storage.
At the back, the phone features a 13MP Sony sensor with f/2.0 aperture while up front, it has a 4MP Ultrapixel sensor with f/2.0 aperture. Other specs include support for Hi-Fi sound quality, Bluetooth 4.1,802.11 a / b / g / n / ac Wi-Fi, 2.4GHz and 5GHz dual-band, sand LTE-Cat 9 technology connectivity.
It is worth mentioning that , this version comes with 3090 mAh battery that supports fast charge 2.0 charging technology. So, one hour of charging gives you about about 70% of battery.
Also to solve the heating problems associated with Snapdragon 810, the phone’s internal cooling structure has been adjusted. So, it features better frames, improved CPU thermal tech and additional graphite heat sinks. It is said that the company has also applied for five thermal patents for this device.
Xiaomi Mi Note Pro is officially priced at 2999 Yuan. The sale day will be announced soon.
Back in April, Lei Jun confirmed that Xiaomi will finally release the Xiaomi Mi Note Pro top-end edition on May 6. This is the company’s most powerful device till date and also the costliest. While customers will finally be able to get their hands of the device in the next few hours, several pictures as well as camera sample of the Mi Note Pro have been leaked online.
We had earlier seen some posters of the upcoming handset and they all looked quite beautiful. Today’s leak further confirms the beautiful gold colored frame as well as a super thin design profile. It definitely looks like a top-end device. The front will be covered by 2.5D glass while the back will have a unique 3D glass. According to the company, this helps to improve aesthetics as well as the overall feel of the device.
As for the tech specs, the phone will feature a 5.7-inch 2K display along with the third generation of Snapdragon 810 (v1.2) chipset. The company claims that this generation improves the performance and the power consumption of the chipset. Other specs include 4GB LPDDR3 RAM, 13MP camera, 4G LTE Cat. 9 connectivity and Hi-fi audio chip.
CAMERA SAMPLE MI NOTE PRO
Overall we expect tremendous response for the new Xiaomi handset. But we hope that the Xiaomi is better prepared than LeTV when the phone goes on sale tomorrow, i.e. on May 6.

LeTV officially announced three new smartphones in the market last month, namely LeTV One, LeTV One Pro and LeTV One Max. Of these, the first two models, the One and the One Pro are going to be available for purchase from May 19. And today, the company started taking reservations for both the devices at exactly 10:00 AM.
While we knew that there would be immense response for the two smartphone today, it looks like the demand was much above the estimated figures. As a result, the LeTV servers went down at 10:00 AM. So, interested customers started to complain that the server was down and they could not reserve their units.
The company reportedly made 190,000 units of the 1499 Yuan ($241) LeTV One and only 10,000 units of the bezelless LeTV One Pro. So, in all 200,000 units were available for reservation today. While LeTV One is a great device for its price tag, many customers could have been interested in the One Pro model, which was only available in limited quantities. As a result, most customers would have wanted to reserve their units as soon as the sale opened. Those who have successfully reserved their units can purchase the device on May 19 at 12:00PM.
The LeTV One comes with Helio X10 octa-core chipset with 3GB RAM and 16GB of storage. There will be a 5.5-inch 1080p display with a 13MP rear camera and a 5MP front facing shooter. As for the LeTV One Pro, the model features Snapdragon 810 chipset with 4GB RAM and 32GB of storage. The 5.5-inch display gets a resolution of Quad HD 2K. The camera is of 13M with OIS and battery capacity of 3000mAh. Overall, both the smartphones offer tremendous value for its price tags.
We have still not got our hands on the device, but expect a real life review soon.
A few months back, Qihoo 360 and Coolpad announced that they will working together on a brand new smartphone company. Recently, the Qihoo 360 revealed that they are keeping a press conference tomorrow .i.e. on May 6, where it will most likely reveal more details about its new brand name.
However, just a day before the event, it looks like the new brand name has been leaked. According to the leak via the internal staff of 360, the new partnership between Coolpad and Qihoo 360 could be called as “Wukong”. Along with the name, we also got a glimpse of the logo of the device. The logo is completely in sky blue color and comes with the name ‘Wukong’ in Chinese as well as English. So, it seems that the company could be targeting the international market too with this brand.
The name ‘Wukong’ is recognized throughout China and no famous companies have adopted this name. As a result, it will be easier for the company to establish itself in the market with limited marketing promotions. So, the name ‘Wukong’ may turn out to be of high business value to the company.
While, this name is still not official, we are just a day away from the official launch of the new partnership. At the event, we will most likely hear more details about the brand name and its plans. Unfortunately, Mr. Zhou revealed today that we won’t be seeing a new smartphone at the event. Instead, the company will launch the new brand and will be taking suggestions and ideas from its users.
So, it looks like we will have to wait for a few more months before we can actually see a smartphone from the resulting partnership between Qihoo 360 and Coolpad.
We are just two days away from the official unveiling of the bezelless ZTE Nubia Z9, but that doesn’t seem to stop the numerous leaks that have been coming up online. Today, we have come across another set of the Nubia flagship which confirm the bezelless looks of the device.
The pictures reveals a true borderless design, with no visible bezels. In fact, the device in the picture looks exactly like the one leaked a few days back. It looks like the company is using a 2.5D glass raised design to create this beautiful effect. As a result, the glass lies on top of the overall body, with the side bezels just below it. This design is pretty smart, as the side bezels will help the user to hold the device, yet at the same time, you get a true bezelless feel.
Moreover, Ni Fei, GM of Nubia Smartphone has confirmed that the Z9 will have useful bezels which can accept a lot of unique gestures to control functions such as volume, brightness etc. So, it looks like ZTE has a great smartphone in store for us on May 6. The display is expected to be around 5.2-inch which strikes the perfect balance between size and grip.
We have already seen a glimpse of the overall design via the previous leak. The phone sported a similar design as other Z series phones such as the Z9 Max and the Mini. But it will have a lot more to offer in terms of features.
A few days back, we came to know that Coolpad was working on a new smartphone called as the Coolpad Y90. The device had already hit TENAA and now, we have the first real life pictures of the upcoming device.
The listing on TENAA revealed a fingerprint sensor at the back of the device. And today’s real life images confirm the sensor. With the rear fingerprint placement and the all metal design, the phone does remind of the Huawei Mate 7 flagship. The front feature three capacitive buttons, including a circular home button.
1 of 3
As for specs, the TENAA listing reveals that the Coolpad Y90 will sport a 5.5-inch 720p display with an octa-core 1.5Ghz processor (most likely Snapdragon 615). There will be 2GB RAM on board along with 8GB of expandable storage via MicroSD. At the back, there will be a 13MP camera while up front, you should see a 5MP shooter. Despite its 8.6mm thick design profile, the battery is just 2500mAh capacity. The phone supports 4G LTE networks in the following bands: 900MHz,1800MHz,2GHz,Band 38,Band 39,Band 40,1.9GHz.
1 of 4
The overall phone looks quite good, especially with the super thin metal bezels on the side. However, there are black borders around the screen which kind of ruins the thin bezelless look. Coolpad has not yet revealed when they will unveil this mid-range smartphone, however, given that the phone has already hit TENAA and now leaked, the release should be sometime soon.
Vivo has been consistently teasing its upcoming Vivo X5Pro flagship smartphone in the past few days. Now, finally, the device has hit TENAA revealing a few other aspects like the body and the overall design.
Like we saw in the teasers, the Vivo X5Pro will feature double sided 2.5D glass design. There will be a metal frame around the body where the buttons and the SIM card slots are located. The overall design looks similar to the earlier Vivo smartphones released, however, there are a few changes. For example, now instead of the dual tone color design for the back, the company has decided to go with a single tone white.
Unfortunately, the phone that has hit TENAA does not feature the glowing logo design as previously rumored. Instead, the front design is plain with three capacitive buttons at the bottom. Also, the phone most likely does not feature a fingerprint sensor which is another let down.
Vivo has given out a lot of interesting details about this upcoming flagship. The Vivo X5Pro will feature a super fast PDAF i.e. Phase Detection Auto Focus which is reportedly even faster than the iPhone, a 32MP front facing camera, a retina scanner and USB Type-C port at the bottom.
Overall, the Vivo flagship is turning out to be a decent flagship. The TENAA listing further hints at its launch very soon. So, stay tuned!
Today I have received the new Ding Ding SK3 Pro from giztop.com for review, the phone is a very close looking clone of the great looking LG G3.
Unboxing
The SK3 Pro comes in a sturdy two part box, the lower half is smooth and gold whilst the top half is black with the Ding Ding logo in gold it is textured, making it easy to get in too.
Opening the box reveals the phone surrounded by a foam insert, the phone has a protective film detailing some of the features such as hot knot, air gesture, heart rate and eye gesture.
Below the phone in the box is a 2 pin China plug USB adaptor and a Flat micro USB cable, Giztop also provided a UK plug adaptor separately.
Taking the phone out it feels nice in the hand and the use of fairly thin side and top bezels allows the 5.5” screen to fit in a body only slightly bigger than a Galaxy S5 not bad for a screen that is .4” larger.
The phone screen features on screen buttons allowing a smaller lower chin, unlike some other budget phones the SK3 does not suffer from any backlight bleed and gives a nice even image that whilst not as vivid as higher priced phones is still good.
Having removed the plastic back of the phone the 2500mAH Li-ION battery had to be taken out so that a small piece of plastic covering the batteries terminals could be removed.
Unlike most phones who’s power buttons can be found down the side of the phone, the SK3 Pro’s power button is located on the back of the phone located between the volume up and down keys.
Powering up the phone you are greeted by the Ding Ding splash screen, after a small wait the lock screen is presented.
Having unlocked the phone the first thing I did was to go in to settings and check to see if the phone was running the latest firmware, there was an update waiting to be installed, its always nice to see this as it shows that manufacturers are addressing users issues and feedback rather than just releasing phones with issues and forgetting about them.
The phone is running a pretty much stock version of the Android 4.4.4 OS, the lack of heavy skinning and bloatware help to keep the phone moving at a decent pace.
The update downloaded and installed without any issues.
Once updated it was time to have a proper play and see how the phone performs, screen swipes on menus are fluid with no discernible lags and apps launch fairly quickly.
It was nice to see that Google apps are pre installed on the phone as this saves messing around, once logged in I headed over to the Play Store and downloaded AnTuTu v5.7 and Z Device so that I can check out the devices performance in a little more detail, I also installed Camera FV-5 (as a photographer I like to have more control over what goes on and this great app allows me that control, I also find that in general it produces better pictures in auto than many phones standard camera apps).
The SK3 scored 18154 in AnTuTu this was pretty much what I had expected given its 1.3ghz MT6582 processor and 1gb of ram, this is fast enough for most day to day tasks but will not set any speed records.
Browsing Speed
The internet browsing speeds and page rendering are not bad, the phone never feels too sluggish over wifi or 3G
Although the phone does lack LTE which for some could be a deal breaker.
Camera
The 13mp main camera quality is not bad for a budget phone and is perfectly adequate for taking quick snap shots for Facebook etc and features a dual led flash, the front facing 5mp camera is also up to the job of taking cheeky selfies.
Whilst the cameras are rated at 13mp and 5mp I have my doubts if they are true resolutions and suspect that they are boosted by software interpolation.
I have included samples taken using the default camera application.
Garden Shot Flower
The default camera application produced a good colour and contrast but was not as sharp as I would have liked.
Hand Shot
The hand shots show a fair amount of detail, with individual skin ridges clearly visible, colour rendition is fairly close to reality.
Games
Brothers in Arms 3 runs at a fairly fluid rate possibly helped along by the 720p screen not requiring the CPU and GPU to push around as much detail as 1080p of 2k screens.
Modern Combat 5 again the game runs at a more than adequate speed, whilst some of the games more advanced lighting techniques etc may be lowered to achieve this the trade off works well.
Controls Menu
Of the available options I find the one of most use is quick gesture entry, whilst the screen is in deep sleep letters drawn on the screen will launch selected apps, for example writing the letter C will open the dialler application
Having had a play with the phone for 24 hours I have been pleasantly surprised by it.
The lack of a modern 64bit LTE capable processor may leave this phone off some peoples wish lists but for anyone that needs a cheap but stylish backup phone for themselves, or as a phone for their children or parents, for the money the SK3 Pro would not be a bad choice.
Specification
Mediatek MT6582 32bit Quad-core running at 1.3ghz
1gb Ram
8gb Rom
Micro SD card support up to 32gb
5.5” HD IPS 720×1280
Android 4.4.4
Dual sim
WCDMA 850/1900/2100 GSM 850/900/1800/1900
2500mAH Li-ION battery (this lasted a full day with test usage, but it would require longer periods of use to give a true reflection).
Rear camera rated at 13mp (although this may be an 8mp camera with software interpolation)
Front camera rated at 5mp (although this may be a 2mp camera with software interpolation)
Thanks once again to giztop.com for providing the handset for review, it is available to purchase for just $86.30 (£57.84) via the link below
OPPO R7 has been the hot topic among tech lovers in the past few days, thanks to its super slim designed and rumored top end specs. Earlier, we had seen two different versions of the device hit TENAA namely the OPPO R7t and OPPO R7C, but at that time we didn’t know all specs of the device.
However, now the detailed tech specs of both the devices have been revealed and they confirm the top-end placement of the devices. There are slight differences between the two models since one is the China Mobile version while the other is the China Telecom version. However, the core specs remain the same on both the devices.
Before we actually move on to the specs, we have to note that there is no mention of a front or even a rear placed fingerprint sensor which probably means the R7 won’t feature this tech.
The biggest difference between the two versions is the processor under the hood. The OPPO R7 China Telecom Edition comes with a 1.5GHz Snapdragon 615 processor while the China Mobile version comes with a 1.7GHz Mediatek MT6752 octa-core processor. Other tech specs are the same, so the phone features a 5-inch Full HD display, 3GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. The storage is expandable up to 128 GB. There will be an 8MP camera up front with a 13MP shooter at the back. The device will feature a 2320mAh battery and will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS.
As for the body, the phone comes with 2.5D glass in a 6.3mm thin fuselage. Its also pretty lightweight as it weighs just 139 grams. As you can see, the phone is quite capable, however, it isn’t as ground breaking update as expected. Probably the rumored OPPO R7 Plus will feature the expected top end technology but for now, OPPO R7 looks pretty ordinary.
With samples of both No.1 S6i and the Landvo S6 now doing the rounds, attention has once again turned to the China Clone phone industry.
Both handsets from the outside have near identical looks and build to the Samsung Galaxy S6 and therefore benefit from Samsung’s many hours of R&D and design testing.
Unfortunately the specifications of the phones is somewhat sub-par compared to many of the somewhat more original phones now coming out of Xiaomi and Elephone who’s phones whilst showing some influence and design cues from other handsets are not copies.
There must be a market for clones or they would not exist, who are the buying demographic? is it teenagers that want the look but can’t afford the originals? or just people that want the look but don’t need the power or price the original phones command? with iPhones some would argue that the style is great but they really do not want to use Apples IOS and would rather have a clone that offers the style but allows the customisation of android.
I would say that it is easier to justify Apple clones from that standpoint than Samsung clones that already feature Android.
I would be happy to have a galaxy s6 clone and would pay a decent price for it, but only if it had specs to match the looks, give me a full HD screen, dual sim, Mediatek MT6752 soc with 3gb of ram and 16gb+ rom and decent camera and I would happily pay $200
But with current S6 clones sporting non LTE 32bit SOC’s for me it does not matter how cheap they are the design is not enough to grab my money.
What do you think? why do people buy these clones and would you have one over a more original higher powered and sometimes cheaper phone such as the Elephone P7000?
Dong Mingzhu, the Chairman of GREE Electric revealed earlier today that GREE will be starting the sale of its smartphones in the market pretty soon. However, the company is yet to announce the official price tag of the device.
GREE smartphone won’t just focus on taking calls but its aims to be much more than a phone. Mingzhu said that GREE smartphone can also act as an intelligent controller which that can monitor home security. It can also control air-conditioners and other appliances, which shouldn’t be a surprise since the company’s primary market is consumer appliances like these.
Thanks to the TENAA listing, we know the specs of the device. The GREE smartphone will be an entry level device with a 5-inch 720p display powered by a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 quad-core Chipset. There will be 1GB of RAM along with 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB. AS for the camera, there will be an 8MP shooter at the back along with a modest 2MP front facing shooter. Finally, the phone will run on Android 4.4.4 KitKat OS.
Of course, with such modest specs, don’t expect the price tag to be higher than 599 Yuan. We have seen the leaked images of the device earlier and they look quite good for an entry level smartphone.
Anyways, we will update with more information about the pricing and full feature list in the coming days. So, stay tuned!
Its looks like Lenovo is cooking something big for the masses later this year. Earlier today, we came across a new image which states that Lenovo could be working on an interesting new concept smartphone called as the Lenovo Coco-F.
The Lenovo Coco-F is said to feature a unique 3D arch glass curved design. This should definitely set the phone apart from competitors at least in terms of design. As for the other specs, the phone will come with a fingerprint sensor and a ultra-high resolution front camera which should take great selfies.
The Lenovo Coco-F will support dual 4G China Unicom and China Telecom networks and comes with two nano SIM card slots. The phone has just entered the trail stage, but if everything goes well, we should see the device in the market in the later months.
Unfortunately, as of now, we don’t have any renders or other spec details of the device. But we will keep you guys posted about this upcoming Lenovo smartphone.
