In the last two years, MediaTek has worked hard on producing great processors for Chinese phones and have even received orders from foreign brands like Sony and LG. As they continue to produce new chipsets, they are closing in on Qualcomm. Early this year, MTK finished their first LTE chipset, the MT6595, and will ship it to companies this month. So how is MTK’s first LTE processor?
Today, a snapshot of the Antutu benchmark test results of devices that use the MT6595 chipset came out. Surprisingly, this device scored 43000.
The MT6595 chipset uses four Cortex-A17 cores and four Cortex-A7 cores. It is an octa-core chipset that uses the big.Little design. It has a built-in PowerVR G6200 series GPU core. As a result, its GPU is in the same series as Apple’s A7 processor’s GPU, so it should not have bad performance. It’s CPU is compose of the Tubro High-Speed Edition (2.4-2.5GHz), the standard version with 2.1-2.2GHz, and a slower version with just 2GHz.
Interestingly, in the MT6595 chipset, only the Cortex-A7 has 1.7GHz. The device has 3GB RAM and uses the Android 4.4.2 OS.
It is not clear why the MT6595 scored so high. It is also not clear what device was used to test the MT6595. It is very likely that it is Chinese-made.
Another highlight of the MT6595 is 4G. This chipset supports LTE Release 9 Cat.4 internet (50Mbps-150Mbps), 4G dual-mode (TD-LTE and FDD-LTE). It is also compatible with DC-HSPA+42Mbps, TD-SCDMA, and EDGE/GSM.
The MT6595 also supports 20mp camera resolution, 2K display screens, and H.265 4K x 2K codec. MediaTek has boasted that the MT6595 has better performance, cost-performance ratio, and power consumption rate than even Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 800/801. We’ll just have to wait until the second half of the year to see if they were just talking big.
Recently, some information came out that the Mi 4 may be designed with a metal case which would lead to an increase in production costs. As a result, Xiaomi will increase price of the Mi 4 to 2499 RMB.
The text in the poster for Xiaomi’s July 22 launch event says “A journey through steel.” Xiaomi’s vice-CEO, Wanqiang Li, also said in his Weibo account, that “comparing metal with plastic is like Germany playing against Brazil in the World Cup,” implying that the news about Xiaomi Mi4 using a metal design are true.
Many consumers compete with each other for Xiaomi’s smart phones because of their low prices, so this price increase may weaken this competition. Perhaps, this is just a psychological strategy Xiaomi is trying out with their prices. Whatever it is, we will just have to wait.

Yesterday afternoon, Nubia launched three new flagship phones in Beijing, the Nubia Z7 (high-end market), Nubia Z7 Max (mid-end), and Nubia Z7 Mini (mainstream). With the prices of 3456 RMB (557 USD), 1999 RMB (322.18 USD) and 1499 RMB (241.59 USD) respectively, it looks like Nubia’s newest flagship phones cover a very wide scope.
Today, Inpai received the Z7 Max and Mini. With the Max costing 500 RMB more than the Mini, what’s the difference between the both of them?
The Max sports a 5.5-inch 1080p display screen, runs on the 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 8974AC chipset, has 2GB RAM, 3GB ROM (supports 64GB expansion card), and a 5mp/13mp camera. It supports 4G internet and its OS is the Nubia UI 2.0 which is based on the Android 4.4.2. The Z7 Max also has an infrared transmitter, NFC, etc.
On the other hand, the Nubia Z7 Mini sports a 5-inch 1080p display screen, runs on the 2.0GHz Snapdragon 801 8974AA chipset, has 2GB RAM, 16GB ROM, (supports 64GB expansion card), and a 5mp/13mp camera. It also supports 4G internet and its OS is the Nubia UI 2.0 as well.
Both of them look mostly the same, keeping Nubia’s classic design, including the red “Home” button. Here is a snapshot comparison of both phones.
Eight months after the release of the Nubia Z5S, Nubia introduced the Nubia Z7 series in Beijing, releasing three devices one after the other. The Z7 Mini boasts its good prices while the flagship Z7 phone is mainly known for its high-end specs. But what about the Z7 Max? What distinguishes it from the other two?
Max editions are usually big-screen low-end versions of flagship products, but the Nubia Z7 Max retains the Z7’s 5.5-inch screen and Snapdragon 801 processor at the cost of just 1999 RMB (322.28). Despite its name, the Nubia Z7 Max is really the third generation of the Big Bull phone. Of course, it would be such a bother to dabble into the name and what it essentially is so let’s just start the review.
Appearance
The first time you see the Nubia Z7 Max, you may almost mistake it for the Nubia Z5S mini. Considering that the Z5S mini has sold millions, it is easy to understand why its design would serve as the inspiration for the Z7 Max’s and the market seems to be pleased with this.
A comparison of the Z7 Max and Z5S Mini
The Nubia Z7, like its predecessors, has round edges and the classic red Home button which everyone should be familiar with. This familiarity points out just how famous the Nubia phones are which is important for ZTE than profits made.
Round-edged design
The most important part about this phone is the fact that it has such a plain and simple design with no marks and a good protective rear cover.
Frosted rear-cover
The buttons are located at the middle of the right side. The narrow design of the phone’s frames makes it easier and more comfortable to carry the phone on hand.
With a detachable rear cover to properly insert two SIM carts, the Nubia Z7 Max supports 4G internet as well as dual-SIM 4G.
5.5-inch 1080p display screen
At a time when Apple plans to reject one-hand phone carrying designs for big-screen ones, a screen that is less than 5 inches would already be considered small, while a screen that is over 6 inches would be considered too big which could cause a lot of problems when the phone is used. Therefore, 5.5 inches looks more reasonable for a display screen’s size.
This phone uses a 1080p Full HD display screen with a pixel density of 401ppi. It has clear graphics and a higher screen ratio which should give the user a nice viewing experience.
There is one slight problem with its built-in wallpapers which are just landscape and color palettes. These roughen up the interface. What Nubia should do is add more simple and plain wallpapers in their next products.
13mp + NeoVision 4.0
The Nubia Z7 Max has a 13mp rear-facing camera and 5mp front-facing camera with a F2.0 aperture which are pretty impressive.
One of the biggest selling points for Nubia’s phones are the the many functions provided by NeoVision. Nubia’s latest phones have the new NeoVision 4.0 which has three main modes, Auto mode, Pro mode, and Fun mode. It also has depth of field preview, and manual focus and many more.

Nubia’s new UI
The Nubia Z7 Max’s OS is the Nubia UI 2.5 which has a neat and simple appearance and an interface with so many different apps, all organized in a “flattened” manner.
Nubia UI 2.5
The Nubia UI 2.5 lets you unlock a locked phone by letting you to swipe your hand upwards on the screen, after which, you will be asked whether you want to unlock the phone or use the camera. The shortcuts and notification center are concentrated in a single interface and there are not any big changes on the background and settings menu.
Background interface (left), Settings menu (right)
The best things about the Nubia UI 2.5 are Nubia electronics and Nubia Niudun. With these, you won’t have to download third-party security software.
Nubia electronics (left), Nubia niudun (right)
Infrared remote control, projector, and NFC are all included.

The upgrades made in the UI should greatly user experience.
The Snapdragon 801
Although the existence of the Z7 shows that the Z7 Max is not a flagship phone, it still uses the current processor to date, the 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 which is compatible with 2GB RAM and 32GB internal memory storage. With a benchmark score of 35560, there is absolutely no need to worry about performance problems.

Conclusion:
Nubia has gradually been perfecting the interactive experience of their products. When they include the new Nubia UI 2.5 and their top-notch specs into the Nubia Z7 Max, the result is an excellent cell phone at the cost of 1999 RMB. Whether you are just someone who wants a good cost-performance ratio, or someone who wants a good camera, the Nubia Z7 Max does not disappoint.
Mediatek have announced the new MT6795 processor, and it’s pretty special, putting the Snapdragon 801 to shame. The rumours of the new 64bit processors being able to match the Snapdragon 801 are one thing, now the 810 could be under threat from this new monster chipset. Following on from the leaked roadmap last week (see picture below) , which gave us a fleeting glimpse of the MT6795, we have some official details for you. Impressive details they are too.
While Mediatek have stuck to the 28nm manufacturing processor model, they have used a 64bit octacore set-up, consisting of Cortex A53 cores and A57 cores. Although currently the listed specifications clock the MT6795 at 2.2 GHz, we’re likely to get an upgraded 2.5GHz version also, nearer to launch.
The GPU is a PowerV G6200, which we know is good enough, thanks to its similarity to the iPhone 5S hardware, but whether it will be as good as the Adreno 430 which comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 810 remains to be seen.
The processor supports dual channel LPDDR 933MHz memory, Qualcomm gets 64 bit LPDD4F 1600MHz. It also supports display resolution of up to 2560 x 1600, along with cameras up to 20MP, LTE, Glonass, GPS amongst others. Another huge plus is the new MT6795 is pin compatible with the MT6592, meaning that current smartphones could easily be upgraded to the new hardware.
The launch date is intended for the end of 2014, making it likely that first quarter flagship Chinese phones will have the MT6795. It looks as though the bar has been raised, and Qualcomm just might be a little worried.
Today, we found the lot’s of 1999 yuan smartphone or about $322 USD price tag in the market. The phone are ZTE Nubia Z7 max, Huawei Honor 6 and OnePlus One smartphone. Those are three flagship smartphone in the market.
Oneplus is a young brand only 8 months so far, it is a new start in smartphone field. The Oneplus one is a top-level Android phone with unbelievable low price. Now, the 2nd phone is coming, as @evleaks reported, Oneplus two is named Lettuce, and also will be $299 price, but better specs.
OnePlus seems ready to preparing their upcoming OnePlus Two smartphone, the phone is has codename “Lettuce” (while we are know the OnePlus One smartphone has codename “Bacon”).
In March 2014, Nubia introduced their big-screen flagship phone, the Nubia Z6. Its top-notch specs and 6.4-inch screen made a big impression on the audience.
Invitation to Nubia’s launch event
Just four months later on July 8, Nubia held a launch event for their summer releases. These products were the Nubia Z7, Z7 Mini, and Z7 Max. Within just half a year, Nubia has released four new phones which is amazing.
Invitation to Nubia’s launch event
Just four months later on July 8, Nubia held a launch event for their summer releases. These products were the Nubia Z7, Z7 Mini, and Z7 Max. Within just half a year, Nubia has released four new phones which is amazing.
All three follow the Nubia Z5S’ footsteps with the Z7 at the top, Max copying the Nubia Z5S’s (Big cow) style, and the Mini continuing the Z5S mini’s style (Big Cow 2). Here, the writer will introduce the Z7 mini smart phone.
Design changes (I)
A good design for a product can be continued in the next generation. Some people may say that you’re out of ideas but who could possibly criticize a reasonable design? Just look at Apple’s iPhone series?
The Z7 mini continues its predecessor’s design
The classic “Home” button
Like the Nubia Z5S mini, the Z7 mini has a very slender design and follows a black and white color scheme. A completely black edition may be released in the future. The Z7’s red “Home” button is located at the bottom of the screen in the middle of two red buttons.
The back of the Z7 mini
The Z7 mini’s back is made of frosted glass like the Z5S mini, but its sides are more flexible and hearty. You can clearly see that there are sharp edges on the back of the phone but it doesn’t make any less comfortable to carry the phone.
Design changes (II)
The Z7 mini’s ports and sockets are arranged properly making it a phone that could not possibly sold for a cheap price. The volume and power buttons are located on the right side so that the user can carry the phone using his or her left hand.
Rear case is detachable but not the battery
Dual-SIM and Micro SD
As an Android smart phone that costs around 1500 RMB (242.03 USD), the Nubia Z7 mini has a detachable rear cover. After taking the rear case off, we can see that this phone does not have a detachable battery but has a Micro SIM slot and Micro SD port. This design makes it easier to use this phone.
5-inch screen has a smooth texture
Not a lot of upgrades were done on the Nubia Z7 Mini’s screen. It still has a 5-inch FHD IPS display screen which should actually be go enough for many users.
Camera specs and photo display
Almost every time Nubia releases a new phone, they seem to make a new breakthrough with their camera specs. Of course, the Nubia Z7 Mini is no exception. Nebula was included in the Mini edition which uses on the new Neo Vision 4.0. Not only does Depth of field preview and hand movements make more fun to take photos using the Z7 mini but also help the photographer take better photos.
The red area is the field of depth preview
The one photo function that everyone will quickly remember is the field of depth preview feature. When we turn this on and use the phone’s focus function, a lot of red marks will appear on the display screen. Those who do not understand this will think that the camera is broken, when actually this is the Z7 Mini’s newest feature. Those areas marked in red are areas being focused on.
Photo taken in manual focus
Using the camera on manual focus will also leave a great impression on the user. After selecting macro mode (on manual fuss), you can adjust the distance by yourself and take a photo at the right moment.
Of course, the Nubia Z7 mini has so many great photo features. I won’t describe them all now. Those who want to know about the Neo Vision 4.0’s newest friends can look at the photography taking essay which is coming soon.
Photos taken by the Nubia Z7 Mini
Although the Nubia Z7’s camera specs are great, for the regular consumer, one can take the most photos using auto mode which is the easiest and simplest to use. It can all be done in just one snap. Here are some photos that I talk using the Z7 Mini in auto mode. What do you think?
Photos taken using the Nubia Z7
Without using any advanced photo functions, the Nubia Z7 Mini can take excellent photos.
Nubia Z7 mini hardware and benchmark score
Photography lies in the heart of the Nubia series but it’s also notable for its powerful hardware.
To attract more customers who wanted powerful hardware, ZTE put in one of the most powerful mobile phone chipsets today in the Nubia Z7 Mini, the Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor (Main frequency, 2.0GHz). This phone also has 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM, and also supports dual-SIM and micro SD expansion card. It is very hard to find a cell phone like this at the 1500 RMB (241.83 USD) price level.
Antutu Benchmark test of the Z7 Mini
Many say that benchmark scores cannot represent a device’s performance, but they objectively show whether a certain hardware works. The Nubia Z7 was fortunately able to score 31062 points in the Antutu benchmark test. Although this is not really the highest a device has gotten, it is considered average. After all, the phone’s processor has a main frequency of 2.0GHz.
After having powerful hardware, the best way to test a phone’s performance is through its games and video streaming. Below is a snapshot of the Z7 mini streaming a video. Even if the phone’s main frequency was lowered to 2GHz, there wouldn’t be any compression in the video.
Game performance is very good
The Z7 mini is also very good for gaming. The graphics are excellent and the program runs smoothly.
UI/Conclusion
When the Nubia X6 was first released, we were first introduced to the Nubia UI 2.0 whose flattened icons and personalized design made a deep impression on us. The Z7 mini uses a follow-up to this UI, the Nubia UI 2.5. However, not a lot of changes were made.
The Z7 Mini’s UI
The purity and simplicity of the Z7 Mini’s UI makes it more comfortable for users to handle. In fact, this is one of the main concepts that Nubia has followed. As Nubia continues to update their UI, their phones become easier and more comfortable to use.
Conclusion:
1499 RMB is surprisingly affordable for a phone with such powerful features. The Z7 Mini is one of the best phones around the 1500 RMB price level. I believe that after Nubia formally launches the Z7 Mini, it will breathe new life into the market. Let’s wait and see.
Huawei Honor 6 headphone was release along with Huawei Honor 6. It’s priced at RMB99($16) but Huawei s claimed it sound better than a number of other popular brand name IEMs that cost 4x-5x that much. However, the package that designed liked a space capsul really make me feel it is as unusual as the Honor 6 itself this time.
The headphone was Wrapped With a whole piece of gel in the “Space Capsul” box.
The Headphone Cable is in professional braided structure, able to shield the extra interference to radio frequency. It was made of 25 pcs of high purity oxygen free copper wire, with a layer of half- euphoric and high elastic anti-winding wires covered outside.
The official also says Honor 6 headphones combine with headphone diaphragm composite design、balanced magnetic circuit design and 3D damped system design, are able to converting timbres smoothly, to control the THD index within 1%, are up to the International Hi-Fi Standard.
It is an exciting time for the smartphone lover, there are plenty of great phones out there at the minute to splash the cash on, and so to help you decide what the best great phone is for you, here are the 3 most exalted flagships of the year compared for you.
PERFORMANCE
All three phones share the same basic performance as far as hardware is concerned. There is a Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 chipset, a quad-core 2500 MHz Krait 400 processor, Adreno 330 graphics behind each of them, making them really very similar devices. There is the same amount of RAM (3GB) present in each also, but the ROM shows some significant differences; with the OnePlus One having 16GB, the Find 7 and the Z7 having 32GB.
ZTE Nubia Z7 Benchmark
MEMORY AND BATTERY
Another big difference is that the only one which is Micro-SD expandable is the Find 7, so this one is the clear winner here. The Z7 does well too, but the OnePlus One falls short, with only half the storage capacity of the others and no means of expanding it. If you store a lot of large files on your phone, the OnePlus One might not be your best bet. The battery is slightly better on the OnePlus One however, being 3100 mAh, compared to the others, which have a 3000 mAh, this may not make much difference, but it all helps and smartphone battery life is a very important factor, nobody likes running out of battery half way through the day.
DISPLAY/CAMERA
The display is another area where the Find 7 and the Z7 perform almost identically and the OPO falls short; they all have a 5.5 inch screen but the resolution is much higher on the Find 7 and the Z7 (1440 x 2560) compared to the 1080 x 1920 OnePlus One. The pixel counts are 401 PPI for the OnePlus One, 534 PPI for the Nubia Z7 and 538 PPI for the Find 7. This is a pretty big difference, and if display is an important feature then it makes sense to bypass the OnePlus One and choose one of the others instead. The cameras are equally capable across all three models, 13MP rear and 5MP front, with all three capable of producing some top quality pictures.
OPERATING SYSTEM AND USER INTERFACE
The OnePlus One runs Android 4.4 with CyanogenMod 11s, the Find 7 runs Android 4.3 with Color OS and the Z7 runs Android 4.4 with Nubia 2.0. It depends on your preferred language which is best here, as the CyanogenMod is for native English speakers, whereas the other two are in Chinese. It is easy enough to put CyanogenMod over the other UIs but it is worth comparing these as they are sold. If you require English, then go for the CyanogenMod UI, it is a no-brainer. If you prefer your phone in Chinese, however, you have options. Color OS is considered the better of the two Chinese UIs, so the Find 7 takes the lead if you want a Chinese interface, even though it is based on the Android 4.3 instead of 4.4.
OnePlus One CyanogenMod 11S
VERDICT
So, after all this, what’s the bottom line? Well there’s really not much between the phones, the overall performance winner is probably the Find 7, it matches the best in every category, the Nubia Z7, is arguably second, let down only by the benchmark score. The OnePlus One is in third place everywhere there is a difference except for the benchmarks where it scores incredibly well. This is of course, before we factor in the price – and this is a pretty game-changing consideration. the OnePlus is almost holding its own here with the specs, made of the same stuff and a true flagship killer according to the benchmarks. The OnePlus is also half the price of the Find 7, saving you $300, and it is $250 less than the Nubia Z7. The question is, then, would you pay $300 for a better display and double the ROM? If yes, then choose the Find 7 or the Nubia Z7, if you aren’t actually that bothered and can think of something else to spend $300 on, go for the OnePlus One.
Tons of rumors leaked about new iPhone 6, it isn’t a secret anymore. Today, someone has gotten the touch screen panel part from Taiwan supplier. The iPhone 6 screen is made of sapphire, it can afford any scratch and crash. Here is the testing video, will show you how amazing the screen is.
It was reported that Lenovo would smash the market with a kind of newly-developed AL Glasses, in which contains the bone-conduction technology, the most special one, that the kinds of Glasses are more than one, in which the third-party cooperation is applied in the business model. In Lenovo, there is a project called NBD, which is a platform support the third-party manufacturers’ cooperation, currently, the forum of NBD and its official website are all released to the public.
Lenovo B1
Lenovo C1
In Lenovo, NBD stands for New Bench, and Bench looks like “π” in figure. Lenovo takes that “π” stands for the highest level of science technology development, and it is also the new standard in the science field. It is not hard to see that, lenovo’s NBD Project is keen on the hi-tech, and the business model is to cooperate with the third-party manufacturers, to provide AL Housing and Hardware products.
In NBD Project, we find Lenovo’s AL Glasses, there are 2 types, B1 and C1, and they are all co-manufactured with Vuzix, the American AL Glasses enterprise. B1 of Lenovo is Vuzix M100, which are easy to dismantle, also can be worn on right or left, what’s more, It can recognize gestures and voices. Bone conduction technology is applied in the Glassed, so private communication is available. The 5 million pixel camera is installed in M100, and it can be connected by Wifi and Bluetooth, 12GB Memory Space together with the Lenovo Cloud Memory System to store some data. Battery duration can last for one day.
Xiaomi CEO finally send invitation for their new generation phone launching event. The old product Xiaomi Mi3 can’t attract buyer since some Chinese phone manufacturers release themselives new smartphones: OPPO Find 7, Oneplus One, Vivo Xshot, Huawei Honor 6 and ZTE Nubia Z7. To face so many competitors, Xiaomi have to release their new products earlier (Over the past few years, Xiaomi always release new product in Augest.)
For the Nubia Z7, the Z5S’ display screen’s 5-inch size was increased to 5.5-inch. The phone’s plastic back case is also detachable (which is useful for inserting a SIM card and SD card, although the battery cannot be replaced). Another obvious change is that the camera is no longer located at the middle on the back but at the upper-left corner and is not curved. The same goes with the Mini.
On the specs, the Z7 Max’s display screen has a resolution of 1080p and the phone’s processor is the 2.5GHz MSM8974 AC chip. It also has 2GB RAM and 32GB expandable internal memory space. It has a 5mp/13mp dual-Camera, and it is powered by a 3100mAh battery. Its OS is the Nubia UI 2.5 which is based on the Android 4.4.2. The Nubia Z7 Max supports dual-SIM 4G internet and costs 1999 RMB.
