If you are a Samsung fan, you may want to skip this year’s flagships. It appears next year’s flagships will be packing some serious power and speed, starting with the Galaxy S10.
According to @UniverseIce, Samsung will begin mass production of LPDDR5 RAM and UFS 3.0 NAND in the second half of this year. These two components may first appear in the Galaxy S10.
Samsung will mass-produce LPDDR5 and UFS3.0 chips in the second half of the year, and I look forward to the Galaxy S10.

It also consumes less power and has an extended temperature range for use in the automotive industries. For LPDDR5, we should expect a 10% increase in performance and a 15% increase in energy efficiency.

Samsung is known for unleashing its Galaxy S series phones just ahead of the Mobile World Congress (MWC) tech trade show that is annually held in the month of February. However, rumors surrounding the upcoming Galaxy S10 and Galaxy S10 Plus claim that these flagship phones may get unveiled in January 2019. It is speculated that the South Korean company wants to debut its first foldable phone at MWC 2019. Fresh information reveals that the foldable phone that can also double up as a tablet will be carrying a very expensive pricing of ~$1,850.
It is speculated that the Samsung will be receiving components for building its first foldable phone in November this year. The assembling process of the smartphone is likely to begin later in the same month or early December as the company is reportedly aiming to make the smartphone available for buying in February next year.
Even though Samsung’s foldable smartphone is pegged to debut in February, it is also being said that the company may delay its launch if the phone does not deliver optimal user experience. It is likely that before unleashing the smartphone to general audience at MWC 2019, the South Korean tech giant may showcase it first to its carrier partners and select clients through a private conference at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES) 2019 event in January.
The foldable phone from Samsung is expected to house a massive 7.3-inch display. When folded, it will shrink to 4.5-inch screen. It is likely to borrow some specs from the Galaxy S10. The company may produce the smartphone in limited numbers at the beginning. It may manufacture 300,000 to 500,000 units of the device through its initial production.
Rumors are rife that Samsung’s foldable device will be hitting the market with “Galaxy X”, but there is no official confirmation on it yet. There is a possibility that the company may unveil it as a new series.
Initially, Samsung’s first foldable device could be marketed a concept device. If the device manages to salvage positive reception, the company may launch a more mainstream foldable phone that may get unleashed alongside the Galaxy Note 10 that may debut in the third quarter of 2019.

Google is currently working on its next-generation smartphones under its Pixel series and the company is expected to launch two smartphones — Google Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL.
Based on the recent leaks related to the smartphone, a concept designer who goes by the name “Phone Designer” has released new concept renders of the Pixel 3 XL smartphone in three color options — Panda, Just Black, and Kinda Blue — same the color options of Pixel 2 smartphones.
The render shows that the Pixel 3 will be opting for a single camera sensor on the back side instead of the dual camera setup on the back which we have been seeing on almost all flagship smartphones. This is in contrast to the designer’s previous renders which showed dual cameras on the back side.
Recent reports have indicated that the Pixel 3 series might ditch the dual camera sensors set up on the back along with an LED flash, placed on the top-left corner. Further, the new renders also show a fingerprint sensor placed in the top-center portion.
On the right side, there’s a volume rocker as well as the power button. The keys are painted with different colors, based on the color variant. Coming to the front side, the display is having a notch on top, which houses a dual front-facing camera along with other sensors. On the bottom, there’s a chin which contains speakers.
The smartphone will come pre-installed with Android P operating system which supports gesture-based navigation. The phone’s renders show a single pill-shaped button on the home screen which can be used to access recent apps, home screen as well as trigger Google Assistant.
A recent leak suggested that the Pixel 3 XL model will have different variants based on the memory configuration, and one of those variants will pack 4GB of RAM and 128GB of storage space, which seems like an unusual combination for a flagship smartphone.
Further, the smartphones are also speculated to come with support for wireless charging as well as Active Edge feature that allows users to launch Google Assistant and also silence calls by squeezing the sides of the phone.
While not yet officially confirmed, Google is expected to announce its new high-end smartphone duo around October 4, which is the date on which the previous two generations of its flagships were announced.
OPPO has reportedly sent physical press invites in China for the June 19 launch event that will unveil the highly anticipated Find X flagship phone. Rumors surrounding the Find X phone have claimed that it will be arriving with a notched screen. Having a close look at the upper portion of the Find X press invite reveals that the smartphone could be arriving with notched display design.
In the image below, a semi-circular cutout can be seen at top portion of the envelope which looks like a notched display design that may arrive on the OPPO. The other image shows the Find X will be unveiled on June 19 at The Louvre in Paris, France starting at 8:45 PM.
There are a couple of other proofs that reveals that the Find X will have a notched screen. For instance, the leaked official press renders of the Find X that had surfaced yesterday. It clearly shows that the Find X has a notched display.
The TENAA listing and leaked specs sheet of the Find X have revealed that it is equipped with a 6.4-inch AMOLED display that delivers 2K resolution of 2340 x 1080 pixels with an aspect ratio of 19.5:9. These leaks also hint that the Find X has a notched display. Some rumors have claimed that the apart from the notch, its display will be curved towards the left and right edges as seen on premium Galaxy phones by Samsung.
Recent leaks have revealed plenty of information on the specs of the Find X. It is speculated that the handset will be arriving in 128 GB and 256 GB storage models. Both of them are expected to feature Snapdragon 845 chipset and 8 GB of RAM. The Find X will be fueled by 3,730mAh battery.
The OPPO Find X will be arriving with ColorOS 5.1 based Android 8.1 Oreo preinstalled. It will be equipped with a selfie snapper of 25-megapixel with f/2.0 aperture. The dual camera setup of the phone will feature 16-megapixel and 20-megapixel sensors with f/2.0 apertures.

When the ASUSZenfone 5Z was announced earlier this year, we called it the new flagship killer as a result of its low price. Its $499 starting price meant that other flagship killers from manufacturers like OnePlus and Xiaomi would have to price their flagship lower to beat it.
Typical of ASUS, the Zenfone 5Z is just going on sale nearly four months after it was announced. The OnePlus 6 which is supposed to be its closest rival has already been available for purchase for a few weeks now. Nevertheless, the Zenfone 5Z comes with a cheaper price tag than the OnePlus flagship. Currently, it is the cheapest Snapdragon 845 phone in Europe.
With a starting price tag of €499 in Europe, the ASUS Zenfone 5Z is cheaper than the €519 OnePlus 6 with the same amount of RAM and storage. However, ASUS says you can even get it for €449 if you order it between now and July 15. This makes the Zenfone 5 not only €70 cheaper than the OnePlus 6 but also cheaper than the Xiaomi Mi MIX 2S priced at €499 in Italy.
ASUS is actually offering a €50 rebate when you purchase the phone. You also get €50 off the 8GB RAM + 256GB model which is originally priced at €600.
The ASUS Zenfone 5Z has a 6.2-inch display with a 1080 x 2246 resolution. It has a notch at the top of the display which gives it an unusual 18.7:9 aspect ratio.
Just like its closest competitors, the Mi MIX 2S and OnePlus 6, the Zenfone 5Z also has dual rear cameras. One is a 12MP f/1.8 sensor and the other is an 8MP f/2.0 sensor. It also has an 8MP sensor camera within the notch.
Xiaomi’s Mijia platform is home to a lot of products the tech giant or one of its partner companies has made. These products cover a broad range of categories from smart home devices to furniture to toys and even car accessories. Talking about car accessories, Xiaomi has announced a smart rearview mirror with video recording function.
The Mi Smart Rearview Mirror Recorder is sort of a combination of a dash cam, a backup camera, and a rearview mirror. By default, the device doesn’t come with a backup camera but that can be purchased separately and paired with it for those who need it for reversing.
The Mi Smart Rearview Mirror has a 5-inch IPS touch display with a resolution of 854 x 480. It can also be controlled via voice; by saying a simple voice command it will take pictures, start recording (front and rear camera) or switch to backup (reverse) camera mode.
The main camera that comes with it is a Sony IMX323 with a 160° field of view and a f/1.8 aperture. The 70mai Backup Camera which is sold separately has a 138° field of view and is IPX7 waterproof. Both cameras can record at the same time and also take pictures at 720p.
The rearview mirror itself has a 470mAh battery which can be recharged via the cigarette lighter port. It supports 16GB to 64GB class 10 microSD cards. The device connects to the Mijia app via Wi-Fi. Recorded videos and photos can be viewed in the app in real time and owners can choose which video or photo they want to save on their phone right from the app.
