First Xiaomi Smartwatch Sketch Leaked: Check it out!

Xiaomi’s new Mi Band 2 wearable just went on sale earlier this month. The band was yet another successful product from the company, featuring a power efficient OLED display and heart rate sensor for a cheap price tag. However, this year, the new Mi Band isn’t the only wearable that’s coming from the company. It’s almost confirmed that there’s a Xiaomi smartwatch in the making and the product should soon be announced, according to an analyst.

While we still haven’t seen the new Xiaomi smartwatch in pictures, today a new sketch of the watch was leaked, which gives us a basic idea about the possible design of the new wearable. According to the image, the Xiaomi smartwatch should come with a regular design similar to other round watches in the market. We can see the Mi logo on the front as well as two buttons on the right side. The watch looks quite thick as well.

mi smartwatch sketch

One of the interesting things revealed by this sketch is the bar at the bottom of the display. It could be hinting at a Moto 360 like design, which had a black bar on the display, ruining the true round watch experience. We hope that’s not going to be the case here.

As for the release, it is said that the new Xiaomi smartwatch should be announced sometime in September this year. So, there’s still a couple of months for the release, which means more information about the device should be leaked in the coming weeks.

Nubia Z11 Spotted On AnTuTu: Packs Snapdragon 820, 4GB RAM & Android 6.0

Nubia Z11 is one of the most important smartphones for the company this year, given that it will be coming with top-notch specs and a bezel-less display. The GM of the company, Ni Fei had recently confirmed the bezel-less display on the device, which clearly makes it one of the highlighted features of the device. However, apart from this, thanks to the past TENAA listing, we knew that the phone was going to come with powerful specs, including Snapdragon 820. But if you had any doubts, then today, you should know that the Nubia Z11 (NX531J) was spotted on AnTuTu benchmark confirming powerful specs and top-notch performance.

nubia z11 antutu

According to today’s AnTuTu listing, the Nubia Z11 comes with Snapdragon 820 with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. There will be a 16MP camera at the back and an 8MP shooter up front. Also, the phone will sport a 1080p display. While the screen size is not revealed here, TENAA listing confirmed that it will be a 5.5-inch panel. Inside, the phone features a 2900mAh battery. As for the software, it comes with Android 6.0.1. This is great news as both Z11 Mini and Z11 Max came with Android 5.1 lollipop on top.

Now, coming to the performance, on AnTuTu, the Nubia Z11 managed to score about 140,000 which is a pretty good score. This puts the phone in the top rankings alongside phones like the Xiaomi Mi5, Galaxy S7 and the Le Max 2.

So, what do you think about the Nubia Z11? It is turning out to be quite a powerful smartphone.

Company behind OPPO, Vivo & OnePlus Launches A New Smartphone Brand

You may have come across the company, BBK Electronics, in the past, as we have mentioned this name a couple of times in the past few years. The company is important to all Chinese smartphone lovers, as they are behind some of the most famous phone brands in the market right now, including OPPO, Vivo, and even OnePlus. So, if BBK is releasing a new smartphone brand, we can expect some pretty good products.

imoo teaser

The company has just released a new brand called as “imoo”. This particular brand will be focused on making educational smartphones. This is not actually a new market for BBK, as the company has been involved with educational toys for kids for the past few years. So, the company is now bringing its experience in the educational segment and the smartphone segment together to make educational smartphones under the imoo brand. We are not entirely sure what to expect from these so-called educational smartphones, but more details are coming in the next few days.

imoo learning phone teaser

The new brand imoo also released the first teaser for its device recently, which reveals some details about the phone. First of all, the brand is calling it as the “imoo learning phone” and it will be officially announced on June 24. Also, from the image, we can confirm that the phone comes with a slim form factor and metal frame with at least one color option, gold.

Another interesting thing we noted here was that the company said “imoo is coming” in English. Plus, there are a lot of words in English on the teaser image. Could we see some learning material from Chinese to Eng or vice versa on this phone? Maybe, we are just speculating too much based on limited information. Anyway, we should hear more about the phone this week. Stay tuned!

Honor 5C Released in the Europe, Costlier than in China & without fingerprint

Huawei’s Honor brand announced the new Honor 5C smartphone in Europe yesterday. The phone was announced in China back in April and now makes it way to the European market. However, this is not entirely the same phone that was announced in China. The Honor 5C that makes it to Europe will come without a fingerprint sensor. Also, the phone will be priced much higher than its pricing in China, which is not a surprise since that’s usually the case in international markets. But what is surprising is the company’s decision to leave out the fingerprint sensor, which seems to be a feature that’s found even on entry level phones. Another interesting thing is that Honor is launching only the low-end variant of the 5C in Europe, which comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB of internal storage. So, no 3GB + 32GB variant here.

honor 5c europe

Rest of the specs are going to be the same as the Honor 5C announced in China. So, you get a 5.2-inch IPS LCD 1080p display. Under the hood, you have the Kirin 650 octa-core chipset that should be efficient since it features eight Cortex A53 cores and is manufactured on the 16nm node. There will be 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage. At the back, the phone comes with 13MP sensor while up front, an 8MP shooter. Inside, the 5C features a 3000mAh battery which should be good enough for powering the phone for a day.

Pricing is a lot higher than the Honor 5C in China. In Europe / UK, the same phone without fingerprint ID costs, EUR 199 ($225), or £149 in the UK. On the other hand, the same 2GB RAM version costs 999 Yuan in China, which comes to $154.

Still, considering the mid-range options available in Europe, the Honor 5C turns out to be a pretty good smartphone.

Home-Button Fingerprint Scanner for The Huawei P10? Possibly

Just when the dust of the launch of the Huawei P9 and Honor V8 is just settling, Huawei is already working on one of their flagship devices for next year, the Huawei P10. Sounds very early but is not much of a surprise as Huawei did announce the dual-camera setup of the P9 six months before its release.

p10
An Artist’s Rendition of the Huawei P10

The news for the Huawei P10 states that there is a possibility the phone will have its fingerprint scanner integrated into the home button. This is a different approach from the P9, Honor V8, and even the Nexus 6P which have their fingerprint scanners at the back.

However, there is no news stating if the P10 will feature the dual-camera setup. We are still 10 months from the launch though, so more details will definitely show up.

Rumor Mill: New Release Date for Meizu MX6

Following the release of the Meizu M3S, we informed you of the launch of the Meizu MX6 which was rumored to launch yesterday i.e. June 20. But as we can see, that didn’t happen for reasons best known to Meizu. But here at Gizmochina, we want to believe someone at Meizu read our article and decided that it wasn’t wise to release 3 phones in one month.Meizu-MX6-retail-packaging

So there’s a new rumor in town with respect to the launch date of the MX6. The new rumor says the launch has been moved forward by a month to the 19th of July. The leak didn’t give any more details and since there’s no way to confirm the veracity of the info, we just have to be patient and sit this one out until Meizu releases an official statement.

The Meizu MX6 is expected to have two variants, viz.: a 3GB RAM model which should have 32GB of built-in storage, and a 4GB RAM version which should ship with 64GB of ROM.  The phone is expected to be clad in all-metal, sport a 5.5” pressure-sensitive FHD screen, have a 20.7MP rear camera, run Android 6.0 Marshmallow, and be priced at 1799 Yuan ($273).

We do hope Meizu will confirm some of these specs before the launch date.

OPPO A37 Announced With MT6750, 2GB RAM & NFC

OPPO unveiled a brand new device yesterday, the OPPO A37. This comes just after the release of the OPPO A59 which was announced earlier in June. The new A37 will be an entry level device with decent specs and a good looking design.

OPPO A37 03

The phone comes with a 5-inch HD 720p IPS display, which translates into a pixel density of 293 ppi. Under the hood, the OPPO A37 features the octa-core MTK MT6750 processor clocked at 1.5GHz along with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage, further expandable via MicroSD. At the back, the phone comes with an 8MP shooter with LED flash and f/2.2 aperture. The camera can record up to FHD 1080p resolution videos. Up front, you have a 5MP shooter. The phone is quite slim as well, measuring 7.68mm in thickness and weighing 136 grams. Inside this thin body, the company has included a 2630mAh battery, which considering the specs, should be just enough for a day.

OPPO A37 04

As for the software, the OPPO A37 runs on Android 5.1 lollipop out of the box with the company’s ColorOS 3.0 on top. Other features include dual SIM dual standby, 4G LTE support, NFC, Wi-Fi, GPS, USB OTG and MicroUSB port. There will be three colors available at launch, Gold, Grey and of course, the popular Rose Gold.

OPPO smartphones, even the entry level ones are not cheap as compared to competitors like Xiaomi, Meizu and LeEco. Following this tradition, the company has listed the OPPO A37 up for sale at 1299 Yuan ($197).

So, what do you think about this entry level OPPO A37 handset?

Huawei Mate 8’s New Version Passes TENAA, Could Feature Improved Force Touch

Huawei released the Mate 8 flagship back in November, and the phone has managed to do well for the company so far. Recently, we spotted a new Huawei smartphone on the Chinese network certification website TENAA and from the overall design and specs, it looks like a variant of the Huawei Mate 8 flagship. So, what is new in this model? While TENAA fails to point out the difference between this version and the one announced last year, it is said that this updated model could come with an improved version of Force Touch.

Huawei was one of the first Android smartphone makers to announce and release a Force Touch enabled device in the market. However, when compared to Apple’s 3D Touch, the Force Touch on Mate S lacked many functions. But now, with this new Mate 8 model, it looks like the company is going to update the version of Force Touch and add many new features.

Design wise, this new Mate 8 version looks identical to the earlier released model. So, you get the same all metal body as well as a 6-inch 1080p display. The phone is quite compact as well, coming with an 8.2mm body. Inside, the device comes with an octa-core 2.3GHz processor which should most likely be the Kirin 950 chip. For memory, you have 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. The phone supports dual 4G networks and comes with a 16MP camera with PDAF and CAF along with an 8MP front facing camera sensor. Finally, for battery, you have a 3900mAh capacity one inside. For software, it’s running Android 6.0 Marshmallow.

huawei-mate-8-specs-leaked-01
huawei-mate-8

We are not quite sure under what name will Huawei release this device. Last year, if you remember, Huawei had unveiled the Mate S flagship with Force Touch in September and a couple of months later, i.e. in November, the company unveiled the Mate 8 flagship. We could see a similar launch strategy this year, with Huawei releasing this model as the Huawei Mate 8S (just a possibility) and then unveiling the Mate 9 flagship with improved Force Touch and much more powerful specs sometime late 2016.

Elephone P20 Details Leaked, 6GB RAM & Powerful Camera

Elephone has been busy lately, working on the release of its upcoming Elephone P9000 Edge smartphone with a bezel-less display. Now, we have got some new details about an upcoming device from the company, which is going to be called as the Elephone P20. Apart from the name, we also got a few details on the phone’s specifications and a couple of pictures which gives us a glimpse of the device.

elephone p20 1

The Elephone P20 will be yet another powerful flagship from the company this year. The phone will come with 6GB of RAM, joining the ranks of high-profile smartphone makers like OnePlus, Vivo and LeEco to feature such a high RAM device. Further, the phone seems to come with a capable camera as well, featuring f/1.7 aperture. The sensor is probably from Samsung but we are not yet sure of that. Also, it looks like the P20 will most likely end up using the Helio X20 deca-core chipset or maybe Helio P20 (judging from the name) from Mediatek. From the leaked images, it will also feature a bezel-less display as the Elephone P9000 Edge. No fingerprint up front could only mean one thing, the fingerprint sensor is located at the back of the device.

elephone p20

We still don’t have any clue on the release date of the device, but don’t expect the Elephone P20 to be announced anytime soon, since we first have to meet the Elephone P9000 Edge. The Edge is yet another powerful flagship from the company which has been in the news for the past six months. You can read more about the specs about the P9000 Edge from here.

So, what do you think about the Elephone P20? Does Helio X20/ Helio P20, f/1.7 aperture camera and 6GB RAM interest you?

Spy Image Of the Vivo X7 Leaked, Confirms Front Fingerprint & Specs

Vivo has confirmed that the new Vivo X7, as well as the Vivo X7 Plus, will meet us on June 30. These are the two new flagship smartphones from the company and will come with powerful specs that will place them in the upper mid-ranger segment. Like tradition, the company has already revealed a few details about the new phone but now, a spy image of the Vivo X7 seems to have leaked online. This image confirms some of the details that were revealed by the company earlier.

vivo x7 spy image

First of all, the new leaked image confirms that the Vivo X7 will come with a front-facing fingerprint sensor. Also, judging from the openings on both the sides of the home button, it looks like the phone will use capacitive keys, instead of onscreen keys as used by many smartphones in 2016.

The image also reveals a few of the specs of the device. The phone will come with the Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset clocked at 1.8GHz with 4GB of RAM on board. The device is running on Funtouch OS 2.5.1 based on Android 5.1.1. But we do hope that the company releases the device with Android Marshmallow at the event.

If you remember, Vivo had already confirmed the specs mentioned above. In addition to that, the company revealed that the Vivo X7 will come with a 16MP camera up front with moonlight soft light flash. Further, there will be 64GB of ROM on board as well. There are a few details missing like the rear camera sensor, display size and battery life, but expect those details in the coming days.

vivo v7 and x7 plus launch event

We still haven’t heard much about the Vivo X7 Plus variant, but it should ideally feature a larger display, battery and may be even a more capable processor. Stay tuned for more details.

Nubia’s GM Confirms Bezel-less Design On the Nubia Z11 Flagship

Nubia has officially confirmed that the new flagship smartphone from the company, namely the Nubia Z11 will be unveiled on June 28 in Beijing, China. This phone will be the successor to the Nubia Z9 bezel-less phone that was announced back in 2015. Now, Nubia’s GM Ni Fei has officially confirmed that the Nubia Z11 will also come with a bezel-less display.

Nubia Z11 bezel-less

In fact, earlier today, he revealed a picture of the front glass of the new flagship. One of the components that you see in the picture is the front panel of the new Z11 flagship. Further, it looks like the company has managed to reduce the thickness of the device to a great extent. It is said that the phone will be much thinner than its previous generation model, which actually makes sense since the Z9 was 8.9mm thick. That’s too thick according to today’s flagship standards. So, the new generation Nubia Z11 model should be thinner than its predecessor.

As for the specs, thanks to the previous TENAA certification, we know a few details about the phone’s hardware. The Nubia Z11 is expected to come with a 5.5-inch 1080p bezel-less display. Under the hood, the phone should feature the Snapdragon 820 chipset with 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. At the back, you can expect a 16MP sensor like the recent models released, or maybe even an upgraded sensor for better camera performance. Given that Nubia gives a lot of importance on its phone’s camera quality, we can expect a good sensor inside the device. Further, the thickness is said to be reduced to 7.75mm and in this body, the phone should feature a 2900mAh battery.

The Nubia Z11 will be officially unveiled on June 28, so expect some more details in the coming days to the launch.

Xiaomi Redmi 3S Now Available On OPPOMART

Xiaomi announced the new Xiaomi Redmi 3S smartphone a few days back without much fan fare. Still, thanks to its competitive specs, the phone managed to get good response in the recently concluded JD.com’s Grand sale. In fact, it was one of the best selling phones during the sale period.

Redmi 3s 02

Now, OPPOMART has just listed the Redmi 3S up for sale. The phone is available at a price tag of $119.99 and all variants seem to be listed on the website, including three different colors and two different storage variants i..e 16GB and 32GB. The pricing is actually pretty good considering that the phone originally costs $106.

As for the design, the Redmi 3S is identical to the Redmi 3 featuring a metal body and a fingerprint sensor at the back. As for the specs, the phone comes with a 5-inch 720p display on board with the new Snapdragon 430 chipset inside. There will be two memory variants, 2GB RAM + 16GB storage and 3GB RAM + 32GB storage. On oppomart if you want the larger RAM variant, you will have to shell out $50 more, i.e. $169.99. Xiaomi Mi Note 2 Specs Leaked, Mi5S Coming As Well

Lin Bin revealed on Saturday that Xiaomi was all set to release a new flagship in the market in July. We guessed it would be the rumored Xiaomi Mi Note 2 as it was logically the next flagship smartphone for the company. Now, it looks like the first generation Xiaomi Mi Note is listed as sold out, which hints that the Mi Note 2 flagship release could be close by.

xiaomi mi note 2

Apart from the details we heard earlier today, more information about the specs of the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 have cropped up online. It is said that the phone will use a 2K 5.7-inch display so that the screen resolution is high enough for Xiaomi’s VR. Another interesting piece of information revealed today is that there would be Xiaomi Mi5S announced as well, which should be a slightly upgraded version of the Mi5 flagship. Further, they should be using metal injection molding process.

As for the other specs, there should be at least two versions with 4GB and 6GB RAM, Snapdragon 821 chipset and even a variant with dual cameras. If the Note 2 indeed comes with these specs, it would be a treat for power users. Also, considering the specs, the Mi Note 2 should retail around the same price as the Honor V8, which cost upwards of 2499 Yuan (>$380).

There are also rumors about the flexible screen phone from Xiaomi with a screen size of around 5.5-5.7-inches. But not much details are available about the device yet.

Vivo X7 & X7 Plus Will Be Unveiled On June 30

Vivo has been teasing its upcoming Vivo X7 flagship for the past few days. However, till now, the company didn’t give out a release date for the device. Now, Vivo has just confirmed that the Vivo X7 flagship will be unveiled on June 30 in Beijing at 19:30. The company also confirms that there will be another device at the event, namely the Vivo X7 Plus.

vivo v7 and x7 plus launch event

Thanks to the previous teasers, we already know a lot about the X7. The phone will be powered by the Snapdragon 652 octa-core chipset with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage. Up front, the phone will feature a 16MP camera with moonlight flash, while the details of the rear camera sensor are still not available. The phone will also feature a front facing fingerprint sensor embedded into the home button.

The company just confirmed the Vivo X7 Plus variant today, however, we have no information about the same. Since the design and the basic features are similar to the OPPO R9 and the R9 Plus handsets, we expect a larger display, battery and probably a better chipset as well, inside the Plus variant.

There are a good ten days left for the official launch of these two handsets, so expect more details via leaks and rumors by then. Stay tuned!

Nubia Reveals Plans To Expand Into Europe & Latin America Soon

For the past couple of years, we have been regularly hearing about Nubia smartphones. The company is known for its premium quality built and capable cameras on smartphones, especially its Z series devices. Given that the company was established only back in 2012, it has really done a good job getting the attention of consumers in China and a few other markets. Now, Nubia has just announced that it will be expanding into new markets such as Europe and Latin America soon. So, fans in markets such as Mexico, Argentina, Russia, Spain and Germany will soon be able to purchase Nubia smartphones locally. The company has confirmed that the Nubia Z11 Mini, Z9 Max and the Z9 Mini will be available in these regions soon.

nubia-myprague-unboxing-18

After Suning’s RMB 1.93 billion investment, which comes to $297 million in Nubia back in January 2016, the company is now preparing to expand its reach in new markets. Given that the Chinese market is saturated at the moment and there are lots of other markets where Chinese smartphones are popular, this might actually be a smart move on the part of the company.

Both Argentina and Mexico’s demand for high-end smartphones have been growing recently, thanks to the rapid development of 4G infrastructure as well as the boom in the e-commerce business. The company reveals that in Mexico, there are around 96 million smartphone users, of which, roughly 30 million purchase new phones every year. Further, Argentina is a good market for expansion since 90 percent of the country’s phone market share is represented by international brands. And Nubia aims to be one of these brands real soon.

As for the more mature markets of Europe, Chinese smartphones are already popular in countries such as Russia. Moreover, both Germany and Spain, with millions of smartphone users turn out to be good markets for expanding Nubia’s reach this year. Apart from the above-mentioned markets, the company also confirms that it has sights on more European markets such as France, Italy, Poland and Turkey. It also mentions some Southeast Asian countries such as India, Indonesia, Myanmar, Philippines, Thailand and Vietnam.

With Nubia appointing Cristiano Ronaldo as the brand ambassador, it’s evident that the company is all set to make its presence felt globally. Special C. Ronaldo limited editions of the Nubia Z11 Mini and Z11 Max are also going on sale in China.

Rumor Mill: Hasselblad to Launch Pro Camera Mod for Moto Z

Moto Z Camera tease

Lenovo announced the Moto Z earlier this month with hardware additions called Motomods. While it is still not the perfect definition of modular, it has set the bar higher for  manufacturers and done a better job than what LG released in place of the LG G5 and Friends. The mods connect to the phone via a set of 16 pin integrated magnets at the back of the phone. This is quite different from LG’s friends which require you to swap out the lower end of the phone which houses the removable battery before adding the desired hardware.

Moto Z camera mod 2
Moto Mods (camera mod far right)

Some of the mods announced by Lenovo include a mini projector called Insta-Share Projector, a JBL Soundboost Speaker, and a mod that adds up to 22 hours more battery life.

Moto Z camera mod

However, rumors floating around states that Hasselblad, the Swedish company known for medium-format cameras is going to launch a pro camera mod for the Moto Z on Wednesday, 22nd of June.

This new mod is said to give the Moto Z a separate and more capable camera lens  to the device and differs from LG’s G5 CAM Module which only adds physical controls to the phone.

Like all rumors, you should remember to take this with a pinch of salt.

Xiaomi Founder Lei Jun Explains Why Xiaomi Doesn’t Have a Waterproof Phone

We come in contact with water everyday and since our phones are with us most times, you’d expect most phones to be waterproof. But that isn’t the case, very few phones are waterproof and even some manufacturers who previously manufactured waterproof phones have stopped or just reduced the protection to accidental spills and splashes. An example is Sony.

Xiaomi Redmi Note 3Xiaomi Redmi 3img_5767

Lei jun, the founder of Xiaomi explains why his company doesn’t manufacture waterproof phones even though customers have requested for it. Mr. Jun states that when a waterproof phone gets damaged even if it is a minor one, the waterproof protection deteriorates.

Another reason is the high cost of waterproof devices; Xiaomi is known for offering high-end phones for almost half the price of other flagships. So adding waterproof protection is sure going to drive the price up. However, he says if customers are willing to pay 20% to 30% of the additional cost required for the protection, the company might consider building a waterproof phone.

So if the lack of waterproof protection is a deal breaker for you when it comes to buying a phone, you know you need to steer clear of Xiaomi phones. You should probably consider the Samsung S7, S7 Edge, or S7 Active.

Xiaomi Topped JD’s Grand Sale That Ended On June 18, Huawei & Honor Came In Second

We have been reporting about the grand sale that was going on JD.com. All the top brands in China participated in the sale, offering great discounts to users who bought any of the brand’s products from June 1 to June 18. In fact, there were a lot of new phones that were offered for sale at discounted prices during this period. The sale ended on June 18 and JD.com revealed a few interesting data about the 18 day sale period.

First of all, in the total product sales category, Apple was right on top. Then came in Huawei + Honor and in the third place was Xiaomi. Other brands who made it to the list were Lenovo, Samsung, Meizu, HP, Canon, Dell and even LeEco, in the order of their ranking.

Since we are more interested in the smartphone category, let’s look at mobile related data in details. In terms of the total sales value, it’s not surprising that Apple came on top during this period. It was once again followed by Huawei Honor and then Xiaomi. That’s the same three ranking as the one above. In the fourth and fifth place lies Meizu and Samsung. Leeco, OPPO, Vivo also made it to the list. The two surprising entries were 360 Mobiles and OnePlus!

In terms of the total sales numbers, Xiaomi came on top, and once again, Huawei + Honor brand takes the second place. This was followed by Apple (notice the top three brands remain the same here as well) and then was Meizu, LeEco and Samsung. 360 Mobiles, OPPO and even ZTE made it to this list.

jd top single phone sales

When it comes to the smartphone with the most sales during this period, it was none other than the Meizu M3 Note. This is a great achievement for the company, topping the most sold chart and shows the response for the value mid-ranger launched in April. In the second place was the iPhone 6S which shows the love for the brand in China. Then there was another mid-ranger, the Redmi Note 3 followed by Redmi 3, Le 2, Redmi 3S, Xiaomi Mi5, iPhone 5S, Mi Max and Honor V8. As you can see, despite coming in the top three places in the above three categories, Huawei + Honor brand had only one product in the top single product sales category, the Honor V8! So, it looks like the company sold a lot of units of different models during this period.

Another thing to note here is that the OPPO’s sale grew by 583% during this period, followed by OnePlus with a growth of 375% and Vivo with 284%. Given that OPPO’s offline sales are already impressive, it’s even impressive to see the company doing well in the online sales. It made it to the list of the top 10 sales list as well as top 10 sales value list.

When it comes to the top three products sold in each price category, Redmi 3, Redmi 3S and Meizu M3 were the ones that made it to the list in the 500-699 Yuan category, Meizu M3 Note, Redmi Note 3 and 360 N4 were in the 700-999 Yuan category, Le 2, Honor 5X and Huawei Enjoy 5S (1000-1499 Yuan), Mi Max, Honor 7 and Honor 7i (1500-1999 Yuan), Xiaomi Mi5, iPhone 5S, Vivo X6S (2000-2499 Yuan), Honor V8, OPPO R9, Huawei Mate 8 (2500-2999 Yuan), Huawei P9, Huawei P9 Plus and iPhone 6 (3000-3999 Yuan), and finally in the 4000 Yuan+ top end-category, iPhone 6S, iPhone 6S Plus and Galaxy S7 Edge made it to the list.

Xiaomi To Launch Flagship Product In July, Could Be the Xiaomi Mi Note 2

Xiaomi’s co-founder and president, Lin Bin revealed this Saturday, Xiaomi will release a new high-performance flagship in July, which is just a few weeks away. However, he failed to mention the name or any feature of the flagship (except that it’s high-end) which makes us wonder which product will meet us next month. Below mentioned are a few guesses based on recent rumors.

Some rumors say that the Xiaomi flagship to be announced next month is going to be none other than the Xiaomi Mi Note 2 flagship. We have been hearing about the device for the past few months and hence, it won’t be surprising if we meet the flagship soon. Another possibility is the Xiaomi Mi Edge, a phone that has been rumored since late 2014. If we indeed meet this device, then expect features such as a flexible / curved screen with a size of around 5.5-5.7 inches.

Specs wise, you can expect a lot of good things inside the new Mi Note 2. The phone is said to come with the Snapdragon 821 chiset, a slightly overclocked version of the SD820. Along with this, you can expect 6GB RAM on board with several variants. Earlier rumors have said that there could be a dual camera version as well. This is possible as recently, an insider posted on Weibo that Xiaomi, OPPO and Apple are all working on dual camera phones this year.

Another possibility is the release of the Xiaomi Notebook. We have seen leaks about this product as well as heard a lot of rumors for the past six months. The Notebook is said to be released this summer and July would be a good time for its 12.5-inch model to be announced. While we haven’t seen the laptop in any images yet, it is said that it will come with a light weight aluminum design to rival the Apple Macbooks.

So, what do you think will be released in July?
