Cellphone companies have always strived to make the thinnest cellphone possible from Oppo to Vivo, and later Gionee whose latest Elife cellphone is 5.1mm setting the Guinness world record for thinnest cellphone in the world. But it looks like this may change soon as it has been rumoured among certain Weibo users that OPPO R5 may produce a smartphone that is between 4mm and 5mm thick.
As of now, this rumor has not been confirmed, so, we can only wait.
So far, out of Xiaomi’s products, only the Mi4, Mi3, Mi2/2S, and MI2A can run the MIUI 6 operating system.The Xiaomi Red Mi and Red Mi Note are the only ones that have not been able to try it until now.

An Android 3G cellphone called the VEB V2 recently went on sale online and its biggest selling point is said to be the fact that it uses a third-generation 128-bit encryption chip, similar to the ones that China’s big four banks use for security purposes.
The price is unbelievable as the VEB V2 costs up to 199,999 RMB. The specs though are very week. It only has a 4-inch 480 x 800 display and 512MB RAM.

At the launch of the Meizu MX4, the company promised that the Flyme 4.0 OS would also work on the MX3 and possibly the MX2 based on the circumstances. Now, Meizu has confirmed that the Meizu MX2’s OS would also run the Flyme 4.0.

As China’s population continues to age faster, more companies, including cellphone companies, are trying to cater to the elderly. Nibiru had previously announced that they will release a cellphone for middle-aged and elderly users called the “Nibiru Saturn 1.” Now, a picture of what appears to be this phone has been released online.
The Nibiru Saturn 1, or the Nibiru Tianyu NT1, has an interesting design that should accommodate older users. Notice the small button under the rear-facing camera with the letters “SOS” under it. ZTE has officially launched its new budget smartphones under V5 series –ZTE V5s and ZTE V5 Max in China. ZTE V5 Max and V5S are priced at 999 yuan (164$) and 899 yuan (147$) respectively. Well, the interesting part is these two handset runs on Qualcomm’s latest 64-bit processor.

Wico is preparing to release what they call the “world’s cheapest octa-core cellphone.” Its name is the “Wico S100,” or the “Lightning God.” A picture showing what appears to be a rendering of the Wico S100 shows that this will use a frame made of stainless-steel and will only have a thickness of 6.5mm.
