Yesterday, Xiaomi released a new teaser on Weibo which showed two ‘Jacks’. Many believed that this teaser was for the upcoming discount on the Xiaomi MiPad tablet. Looks like they were true indeed as the company officially revealed today, the discounted prices of its MiPad lineup.
Xiaomi has a big promotional event on April 8, wherein most of its products are being offered for discounted prices. Till now, the Xiaomi MiPad was the only product left out of the promotion which is why this move does not come as a surprise.
On April 8, the 16GB version of the Xiaomi MiPad will be available for sale for just 1299 Yuan which is much less than the original price tag of 1499 Yuan. The 64GB version will also get a price cut, from 1699 Yuan to 1499 Yuan. This will make the already cheap tablet, much more affordable to customers.
Xiaomi has announced that all of its products will go on sale on April 8 without any need for previous reservations.
Aside from Blackview Alife S1’s other high-end features and specifications including 4G LTE Dual SIM connectivity and a 64-bit MediaTek MT6732 Quad-core 1.5GHz processor, it also plays host to one of the best mobile cameras in the world. This is due to the Alife S1’s camera sensor and camera technology utilized by both its high-resolution rear 18-megapixel camera and 8-megapixel front-facing camera.
The Blackview Alife S1’s camera sensor, the Samsung ISOCELL CMOS image sensor, is considered by many to be the best camera sensor in the world. It utilizes top-of-the-line 1.1um pixel technology which enables the camera to take quicker shots, capture wider light rays, and have a higher resolution (as seen in the S1’s 18-megapixel and 8-megapixel cameras).
The ISOCELL CMOS image sensor is also capable of amazing performance in Night Scene mode making it capable of shooting low light and backlit scenes where other smartphone cameras can’t. Lastly, the sensor’s technology enables the camera to use less power during operation which ultimately increases the battery life of the S1 and lead to more photo taking.
The Alife S1 amazing camera sensor is coupled with SWDR (Super Wide Dynamic Range) technology which improves overall exposure and color reproduction in photos. It also comes with an F2.0 aperture lens, electronic anti-shake system, image stabilization, and a wide-angle dual LED flash.
All these technologies combined make the Blackview Alife S1’s camera comparable to even large and bulky DLSR cameras and ultimately making it one of the best cameras on a smartphone.
You can check out another smartphone from the company, the Blackview Omega.
A set of leaked photos showing a black box with Meizu’s logo and the box’s interior with a piece of foam packaging with a cutout in the shape of a pair of headphones could signify that the company plans to release their first pair of headphones during the company’s event on April 8. No other details other than the images have been released so no information on what kind of headphones the company plans to launch if they do launch them at all.
Meizu could be trying to follow in the footsteps of its major competitors like Xiaomi and OPPO by also producing and releasing other products aside from mobile devices as both companies have released headphones or earphones in the past.
Zopo is one of those Chinese manufacturers, which is known both in its homeland and internationally (more or less). Actually, it seems that the manufacturer really wants to step into the EU market as they already have physical retail stores in the Netherlands. Also, the company is said to open the European Operations Centre soon and they even had some conversations with the Dutch Prime Minister.
Well, in general it is a good thing for Europeans, but let’s put these things aside for now. This time we have brand new Zopo ZP530, which comes out from the new devices portfolio by the manufacturer. As usual, let’s unbox it and see what we have here.
The box is made out of cardboard, so nothing out of ordinary here. One of the cool things is that you need to pull the sleeve to open it up. The box has a list of specs in case you want to check it out.
DESIGN
Look what we have here… Another iPhone 6 wannabe. Anyway, it looks quite good.
On top of the device you can find a 5mp snapper, earpiece and proximity sensor.
On the bottom, there is a Nubia-like home button, which has a pulsing effect once you touch it or receive a notification. Also, there is a menu on the left and back button one the right. What I have found already is that sometimes you can miss those little capacitive buttons. Maybe it is just me or you need some time to get used to it.
1 of 3
The device is surrounded by a high quality metal frame, which is painted on gold colour. On the left there is a power key (I never like the placement of this button on the left). On the right, there is a volume rocker. On the top, you can find a Micro USB port along with headphone jack.
1 of 4
On the back, you can find an 8mp shooter (yeah, you may think “only” 8mp, but you would probably this device, because it looks like iPhone 6 anyway…). On the bottom of the back there is a Zopo logo along with the loudspeaker.
Under the hood you can find a 2100mah removable battery, two SIM card slots (one regular, another micro) and the Micro SD card slot (up to 64GB). One thing worth mentioning is that taking the back cover off is not recommended using your nails as it sits really tight.

INITIAL IMPRESSIONS
You may already have your own impressions as far as design and you are right. Zopo ZP530 is another iPhone 6 wannabe device as far as design goes. We don’t call it a clone per se, but if you look only at the front, a lot of people would ask you if it is the newest flagship by Apple. We don’t call it necessarily a bad thing, but this shows the strategy company follows with this device.
On the other hand, the device really looks beautiful and very well made. It spots a 2.5D glass, which gives the seamless feeling in the hand. Also, the metal frame along with the metal buttons make it feel premium. What is more, the device is very sturdy overall. Finally, some add ons like a glowing home button makes it quite attractive.
Well, so far so good, but our full review is coming soon, where it will be clear if this device is worth your attention or not.

Xiaomi celebrated its 5th anniversary with a bang by announcing that the company’s smartphone sales have exceeded 100 million units. The announcement was made by the company’s CEO, Lei Jun, on the Xiaomi official Chinese blog who also said that the next five years will be very crucial to Xiaomi and that the competition in the next five years will be fierce due to the growth of local and foreign competitors as well as the entry of new players in the industry.
Xiaomi’s shipped almost 70 million units last year which means the company sold over 30 million units within the first three months of the current year to exceed its 100 million sales goal. The company has also said that their sales numbers would actually be higher if not for capacity or availability issues.
The company’s latest flagship devices, the Mi Note and Note Pro, which were announce last January are also expected to sell very well with their top-of-the-line features and specifications partnered with very competitive price tags which is Xiaomi’s signature style. The company also most recently announced two special editions of the Mi Note, the Ladies Edition and Bamboo Edition, which features a pink design and a natural bamboo rear panel, respectively.
New images of what supposedly is Sony’s upcoming flagship Z4 have been leaked by a source from South Korea. Looking at the images, the Z4 looks very similar to the previous flagship – the Z3 – although the edges and corners look slightly rounder. The leaked images show the power button on the right side of the device, a SIM card slot cover or volume rocker on the left side, a 3.5mm audio jack on top, and a USB port at the bottom. It hasn’t been reported whether the Z4 still uses the conventional micro-B USB port or if they’ve switched to the new Type-C port. The images also show that the front and back of the Z4 still maintain the full glass panels.
If previous leaks are accurate the Z4 will come with a 5.1-inch 1080p screen and will be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 processor clocked at 1.9GHz, 3GB of RAM, and 32GB of storage space. The new flagship will also retain the same 20-megapixel rear camera and 5-megapixel front-facing camera. No information about the device’s battery life has been leaked so far but the Z4 is also reported to come with Android 5.0.2 Lollipop out of the box.

Actual announcement or release dates for the Z4 are unsure as it was previously expected that Sony would reveal the new flagship during MWC 2015 last month but that didn’t happen. It is now expected that Sony will reveal the new flagship sometime in the summer.
From recent leaks, we know that Huawei will most likely unveil two new smartphones at its event on April 15th. One will be the regular version of the Huawei P8 while the other will be the platinum version, i.e. the high end edition of the device.
Now, just 10 days before the official unveiling of the flagship smartphone, pricing details have been leaked. The information comes from an alleged internal document of Suning.
The leaked document from Suning
The document says that Huawei will keep a conference in China for the unveiling of the P8 in the country on April 22. The next day, i.e. April 23, the company will make the device available for sale to customers.
The document also says that the high end version of the flagship will be priced at 3288 Yuan which comes to around $536. Naturally, the regular version of the device will retail for a much lower price tag, somewhere around 2988 Yuan ($486).
While the prices as mentioned by this document is higher than competitors like Xiaomi Mi4 and Meizu MX4, the phone is expected to come with tech specs which are better than existing models in the market.
The Huawei P8 is expected to feature a powerful yet battery friendly Kirin 935 chipset with 3GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. There will be a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display on the front. At the back there will be a 13MP camera and a 5MP shooter up front above the display. The battery is expected to be around 2520mAh and the phone is said to run on Android 5.0 Lollipop OS.
Of course, none of these details are official. The document leaked today could be a fake, just made to spread rumors, so its best to take this news with a pinch of salt.
But, if the pricing was indeed real, would you be ready to shell out 3299 Yuan for the high end version of the Huawei P8?
ZTE’s Nubia series flagship devices are known for its camera performance. The company has targeted camera lovers with this range and its not surprising to see that the new generation ZTE Nubia Z9 phones feature a much better camera unit than predecessors.
The ZTE Nubia Z7 came with a 13MP unit with OIS and 2K video support @ 30fps. The new Nubia Z9 Max and Mini naturally upgrades the unit to a much powerful 16MP sensor. While we have not yet seen the performance of these cameras in real life, the General Manager of ZTE’s Nubia division, Ni Fei says that the cameras on the Z9 Max and Mini smartphones are one of the best in the market. In fact, he adds that they are even comparable to professional cameras.
This is really a very big claim given that we have seen a lot of powerful camera smartphones in the market lately. It would be really hard to compete with phones such as the iPhone 6, Lumia 1020 and even the new Galaxy S6 in terms of camera quality and performance.
Ni Fei says has always been quite confident about the camera performance of the Nubia Z9 series. In fact, a few days back, we saw a sample which could have been from one of the two Z9 smartphones. The image was of the Aurora and looked extremely good even in the low light conditions.
However, these are all just claims and we will have to see the real life camera performance of both these handsets to judge whether they are better or at least at par with top end competitors.
Still, what do you think? Will ZTE Nubia Z9 Max and Mini be able to compete with devices like the iPhone 6 and the Lumia 1020 in terms of camera performance?
We know that LeTV is all set to announce at least two news devices this month namely, the LeTV X600 and the LeTV X900. While both of them will feature high end specs, the X900 will be slightly more powerful than the former.
The X900 is said to feature a very powerful 20.7MP Sony sensor. On the other hand, the LeTV X600 is rumored to sport a 13MP camera, which is still decent as compared to current high end offerings.
Earlier today, we came across a new set of images which claim to be the first camera samples of the LeTV X600. So, its probably from the rumored 13MP rear camera sensor of the device.
These camera samples come directly via Jeffrey Ju, the current General Manager of one of the divisions of Mediatek’s Wireless Communications. He said that these images were from one of the upcoming devices that was using Mediatek’s Helio X10 platform.
In case you missed, Mediatek has re-branded its high-end mobile chipset lineup as Helio X. Here, the X stands for extreme performance, which will be the highlight of the top end chipset series from the company. So, the Mediatek MT6795 chipset is now known as the Helio X10.
Naturally, since the LeTV X600 is one of the upcoming devices to feature this Helio X10 Mediatek chipset, we believe that these images could be of the device.
On a personal note, these images look good for a 13MP shooter. The images produced colors very well, the focus was spot on and even in low light, we can’t really see any noise. this clearly hints that the LeTV X600 could pack a very good rear camera.
You can check out the entire samples leaked today from the gallery down below.

So, what do you think about these samples? Does they look good enough for a top end device?
While we are just 10 days away from the official unveiling of the Huawei P8 flagship, rumors about the device are still coming in. Thanks to the previous leaks, we know most of the specs of the upcoming P8, however, there’s still a lot of confusion about the processor inside the device.
Earlier it was said that the Huawei P8 will sport the same Kirin 930 processor as the Huawei Mediapad X2. However, we recently came to know that the processor was based on quad Cortex A53 + quad Cortex A53e architecture, which may not be as powerful as predicted. As a result, it didn’t make sense for Huawei to use the same less powerful Kirin 930 chipset on an important flagship.
Recently, new reports cropped up online claiming that the Huawei P8 will sport the powerful version of the Kirin 935 chipset. Up till now, we had no idea about the specs of this rumored 935, however, earlier today, a new leak gave out some details about the chip.
It is said that the company will increase the clock speed on the Kirin 935 to 2.2GHz. On the other hand, the existing Kirin 930 was clocked at 2.0GHz. Also, the company plans to give this chip a graphic performance boost with a new GPU. These changes are expected to improve the performance of the device to a great extent, however, we still don’t know whether it will be up to the mark as compared to other flagship SoCs currently available in the market.
As for the tech specs, the P8 is said to come with a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display. There will be 3GB RAM on board with 32GB of expandable storage. Other possible tech specs include Android 5.0, 13MP rear camera with temperature flash, 5MP front shooter, 2520mAh battery and 4G dual SIM dual standby support.
Expect more details about the Kirin 935 chipset as well as the Huawei P8 flagship in the next few days.
Huawei has shipped over 1 million devices in its C881X lineup. Today, we have come across yet another device in this lineup which will offer decent specs for a relatively low price tag.
The Huawei C8818 recently hit TENAA revealing a few set of pictures and the full tech specs. The phone will support only CDMA networks and not GSM, yet will feature dual SIM dual Standby, which is a rarity in these types of devices.
As for the processor, the Huawei C8818 will come with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615 64-bit octa-core processor clocked at 1.5GHz with 2GB RAM on board. There will be 8GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 32GB via MicroSD. Up front, the Huawei C8818 will feature a 5-inch 720p display along with a 5MP camera on top. At the back, there will be a 13MP shooter. The phone is said to run on the Android 4.4 KitKat version of the OS.
Design wise, the Huawei C8818 looks a lot like the Huawei Honor 4X. You can clearly see the round edges, top left camera placement and many other distinctive characteristics that’s directly carried forward from the 4X. So, the C8818 could be CDMA variant of the device. However, the phone is slightly thicker with the measurements, 143.5 × 71.9 × 8.9mm. On the other hand, the Honor 4X was 8.7mm thin. But, this particular device weighs around 162 grams which is less than the 165 gram 4X.
As you can see, the Huawei C8818 packs in good specs in well designed body. The phone could be priced anywhere around 1000 Yuan which would make it a great deal for customers looking to take advantage of 4G on CDMA networks.
Given that this is a CDMA edition, we don’t think the phone will ever be releaed outside of China. But what do you think about the phone, if the price is indeed $160.
Recently, the GREE G0111 mobile phone got leaked again in some high definition pictures.
From the images, it looks like the phone has a good built, It comes with narrow bezels in black color. However, the color on the back is silver. In addition, it should be noted that the rear shell on Gree mobile phone is made of plastic material, but it feels good. It does not have a app drawer but has all the apps on the homescreen similar to other Chinese phones. Xiaomi’s MIUI has a similar design. In the configuration, the phone is using a 5-inch 720p screen, equipped with 410 quad-core 1.2GHz Snapdragon processor with 2MP front and 5MP Rear camera. It has 1GB RAM and 8GB internal memory, It also supports SD memory card expansion, and supports China Unicom 4G / 3G and GSM networks, The Gree smartphone does not support dual SIM dual standby which can be considered as a drawback. It is said that the phone will run on Android 4.4.4. As for the price, expect it to be around 599 Yuan.
We know OPPO has been busy working on its successor to the Find 7, but as of late, we have heard very little about the phone. Now, the OPPO Find has finally leaked again in pictures, showing off its unique design.
Although the images are not very clear, we managed to spot a few features of the upcoming device. For example, the first distinctive characteristic of the device is its dual camera setup at the back. It started with HTC and nowadays many companies like Huawei have started using such a setup. So, its not surprising to see such a dual camera unit at the back of Find 9 too.
Another interesting aspect revealed by this picture is the round button at the back. We feel this is the power button just like the one one LG G3. However, given its rather large size, we feel that it could be a fingerprint sensor too.
The front of the OPPO Find 9 is clean, but bezels looks very thin. As a result, the display covers the entire sides of the device. However, you do see top and bottom bezels which are quite thick. The basic design seems to be a continuation of OPPO Find 7.
Although this leak doesn’t reveal the tech specs, earlier leaks have said that the OPPO Find 9 will feature the powerful Snapdragon 810 octa-core processor with 4GB RAM and a 5.5-inch 2K display.
The company is yet to announce an official launch date for the OPPO Find 9, but we hope to see more information soon.
Huawei is on a roll this year as the company is all set to release a number of handsets in both, the top end and entry level lineup. While we already know that the Huawei P8 will be unveiled at an official event on April 15, it looks like the company has yet another gadget in store for us. The upcoming Huawei Honor 4C Play will be a compact device with a 5-inch display. The phone will have an eight core processor along with 2GB to run things smoothly. Moreover, since this will first launch in China, you can expect two versions of the device, namely the GSM CHM-TL00 and the CDMA CHM-CL00.
Since this is a 5-inch device, the dimension measure just 143.5 × 71.9 × 8.9 (mm). Also, it has a weight 162 (g) which is decent for a device of its size.
Coming to the exact tech specs, the Huawei Honor 4C Play will sport a 5-inch display with HD 720p resolution. There will be 2GB RAM onboard along with 8GB of expandable internal storage. Like mentioned above, you’ll find an eight core processor inside, however the exact make depends upon the version of the device. The GSM version comes with Huawei’s own Kirin 620 processor clocked at 1.2GHz while the CDMA edition comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 615. At the back, there will be a 13MP camera while up front you’ll find a 5MP shooter. The Huawei Honor Play 4C runs on Android 4.4 KitKat and will feature a 2550 mAh battery.
The device will be available in white, black, and gold colors. Since the Huawei 4X is priced at 799 Yuan, we don’t think the Huawei Play 4C will be priced any higher. In fact, this particular device could be targeted to compete directly at the Xiaomi Redmi 2. And in comparison, the Play 4C does manage to get ahead of the Xiaomi device in some aspects.
Anyways, lets wait for the official pricing and availability details from the company and hope that we have yet another cheap device for choosing in the coming weeks.
We know that Nokia is not allowed to manufacture and release smartphones under its name till 2016. However, that doesn’t stop us from conceptualizing what a Nokia made premium Android smartphone would look like.
Today we have come across three new images of a Nokia smartphone concept. The phone seems to retain a similar design as as the company’s Lumia range. However, the phone is made entirely of metal and not polycarbonate. Nevertheless, the device looks quite good especially with its unibody design.
The bezels are extremely thin, which makes it all the more premium. Interestingly, the buttons on the sides stand out from the overall body due to its black shade. The power button lies on the left while the volume keys as well as the camera button lies on the right. You get the Nokia branding right on top of the device, along with a large front camera sensor besides it. But the designer has done well to blend everything together into one design.
One of the images even show a yellow, probably polycarbonate version of the design and that looks quite good too.
So what do you think about the new Nokia smartphone concept? Looks beautiful right?

In the last two days, we have come across multiple leaks about the upcoming Huawei P8 flagship. Images as well as specs have already been leaked before. However, a new report has come up online which claims that the Huawei P8 smartphone will feature the company’s Kirin 935 processor. So, instead of the same Kirin 930 that we saw on the Huawei Mediapad X2 tablet, we may see a slightly upgraded SoC inside the P8.
Unfortunately, as of this moment, we have very little details on what the Kirin 935 offers. In the previous leaks, we have learned about Kirin 940 as well as Kirin 950, but there were no details about 935. It is said that the Kirin 935 will be a slightly better version of the 930. 935 will be an octa-core processor as the 930 but the GPU is reportedly bumped up.
We recently came to know that Kirin 930 is probably built on a 28nm manufacturing process, instead of 16nm as previously rumored. Also, while the all Cortex A53 (quad Cortex A53e) processors helps in saving battery life to a considerable extent, it may not be as powerful as we previously thought. As a result, for an important flagship like the Huawei P8, it will make sense if the company decided to increase the performance with the Kirin 935.
The report also adds that the device will feature Sony IMX278 camera sensor. However, we have no details about this particular model, at least not right now. It could be a new Sony sensor which we will see soon or even a custom made sensor by Huawei. However, we expect Huawei to incorporate an amazing camera on the P8, so the IMX278 is probably high end.
Just last night we came to know that Huawei could be planning to name the two models, the Huawei P8 Standard Edition and the Huawei P8 Platinum Edition with double sided sapphire glass. It was also said that the Platinum Edition could costs as much as 5000 Yuan!
Anyways, the leaks have shown us that Huawei P8 could be a great looking flagship with powerful specs. So, we are all the more excited for April 15 when the company will officially unveil the device.
New details on the Huawei P8 flagship have been leaked on Chinese social network Weibo. The leak reveals the official titles of the two versions of the upcoming flagship smartphone – a standard/ordinary edition and an exclusive Huawei P8 Platinum Edition – as well as a few details on the look and price of the now-revealed Platinum Edition. Given that the leak comes from a well known leaker from Weibo, it could actually turn out to be true!
The leak reveals that a couple of the main differences the Platinum Edition will have over the standard/ordinary edition of the Huawei P8 will be an addition to the device’s body as well as its color. The Platinum edition will feature sapphire glass panels on both the front and the back sides of the phone. The Platinum Edition will also come in gold instead of the black that is expected on the standard edition.
The Standard Edition will come in Black
It was previously leaked that the Huawei P8 will come in two versions with different body materials – one featuring an aluminum alloy body and one featuring zirconia ceramic. It might be safe to assume that the Platinum Edition will be the one to come in the latter material.
This is the huawei p8 standard edition
The leak did not reveal if the Platinum Edition will keep the same specifications as the standard edition but if it does it’ll feature 5.2-inch display with 1080p resolution, 13-megapixel rear camera with dual LED flash, a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, Huawei’s Kirin 930 processor, 3GB of RAM, 32GB of internal storage, and 3,000 mAh battery.
According to the leak, the Huawei P8 Platinum Edition will sell for around 5000 Yuan. Both the editions are expected to be officially revealed on April 15 at the company’s official event. Also, the standard edition is expected for an official release on April 22. Whether the Platinum Edition will release at the same time as the standard edition is unknown.
