Meizu has been working on the Meizu 16 series right after it announced the Meizu 15. There have been lots of info about the flagships with a large percentage of them coming from Meizu’s own CEO Huang Zhang. A new leak has surfaced again but this time from a Weibo user.
The new leak is an image showing the front panel of the Meizu 16 Plus placed atop OPPO’s Find X smartphone. The idea is to compare how the Meizu 16 Plus measures up against the Find X.
As you can see above, the area occupied by the screen of the Meizu 16 is larger than the OPPO Find X (bezels and screen included). The screen size of the Meizu 16 Plus has not been revealed but from the image, we can see it is larger than the Find X’ 6.42-inch display.
In the previous week, a Polish site had revealed the pricing and release date of Galaxy Note 9 for Poland. Fresh information coming from the home market of Samsung has revealed that the pre-orders of the smartphone will begin one week after its launch
Samsung has already confirmed that it will be announcing the Galaxy Note 9 phablet on Aug. 9. It is launching the smartphone earlier this yea as the predecessor Galaxy Note 8 was made official on Aug. 23. After announcing the Note 8 on the said date in August, it was made available for buying from Sept. 15.
In Poland, the Galaxy Note 9 is expected to be available on pre-orders on Aug 9, the day when it gets unveiled. Recent reports have revealed that the shipments of the pre-ordered units will begin on Aug. 24. However, today’s report claims that pre-orders of the Note 9 will begin by mid-August in the home market. Since Galaxy Note 8 was mad available in 42 markets on the day it was released, it is likely that the Note 9 would be also hitting multiple markets on its release date.
Design-wise, the Galaxy Note 9 will be sporting an appearance that is very similar to its predecessor. The only major design change expected on the Note 9 is the rearranged fingerprint scanner which now sits below the dual camera sensors on the back panel.
It is speculated that Galaxy Note 9’s Snapdragon 845 edition could be coming to markets like the U.S., Canada, Latin America, China, Hong Kong and Japan. The rest of the world including the entire Europe may receive the Exynos 9810 edition of the Note 9.
The Note 9 will be coming with 6.3-inch S-AMOLED Infinity Display, 6 GB of RAM, 128 GB of storage, dual rear cameras with variable aperture and 4,000mAh battery. There is a possibility that there will be an advanced model featuring 8 GB of RAM and 256 GB or 512 GB of internal storage. The stylus arriving with the Note 9 will be the first S Pen ever to feature support for Bluetooth connectivity.
Following the launch of the OnePlus 6, OnePlus has refrained from using the phrase “Dash Charge” to refer to its fast charging technology or any of its charging accessories. The reason for that is due to a trademark issue in the US and EU. A new trademark filing has revealed what may be the new name for its fast charging technology.
According to a trademark filing in Europe, the new name for OnePlus’ fast charge technology may be “Warp Charge”. The application was filed on Friday, the 13th of July and includes the new logo for the charging technology. It is also said to fall under class 9 of trademark classifications. Items under this class include most of the electronics in use today.
In OnePlus’s application, the trademark will be used for data cables, power adapters, cell phone battery chargers, electrical adapters, chargers for electric batteries and wireless chargers.
You may be wondering why “wireless chargers” is on the list since OnePlus doesn’t have any phone that supports wireless charging neither does it make wireless chargers. Since it is a trademark application, it can as well cover future products.
DJ Koh, the head of Samsung’s mobile division has visited Wuhan, China to listen to the voice of Chinese customers. During the meet, he shared couple of new information on the upcoming Galaxy Note 9 and the smartphones that will be arriving next.
Recent reports have revealed that the Note 9’s S Pen will be a versatile stylus since it will carry support for Bluetooth connectivity. At the Wuhan event, Koh revealed that the S Pen will be arriving with many new features including some gaming-related features.
The recently unveiled Vivo X21 and Xiaomi Mi 8 Explorer Edition are equipped with optical fingerprint scanner supplied by Synaptics. And the Huawei Mate RS Porsche Design has optical fingerprint sensor manufacturer by Goodix. At the Wuhan press conference, DJ Koh has confirmed that the Galaxy S10 will be coming with ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
He added that since optical fingerprint scanner does not deliver good user experience, it hasn’t been included on the S10. He said that Samsung could have used optical fingerprint scanner on its smartphones two years ago, but it avoided using it because of poor user experience. By including ultrasonic fingerprint sensor on the S10, the South Korean company wants to deliver better screen fingerprint scanning experience on the S10.
Samsung CEO Guo Minghao who was also present at the conference reveled that the ultrasonic fingerprint scanner will be also made available on other Galaxy phones arriving next year. He specifically revealed that the Galaxy A series and Galaxy Note 10 arriving in 2019 will be featuring ultrasonic fingerprint reader.
Samsung has been launching Galaxy A series smartphones in December and January since the past few years. The Galaxy S10 is expected to get unveiled at the Mobile World Congress (MWC) in February 2019 whereas the next Galaxy A series smartphones are likely to debut by the end of this year or early 2019. Since they are expected to launch ahead of S10 series, they are unlikely to feature ultrasonic fingerprint scanner because Samsung is reportedly planning to launch S10 series as its first phones with under display fingerprint scanner.
So, there are two possibilities here, the first one could be that Samsung may hold the launch of the upcoming Galaxy A phones and unveil it after debuting the S10 series. The second possibility is that the Galaxy A phones later this year or early 2019 could be mid-range phones and they may not feature under display fingerprint scanner. So, the company may launch some other Galaxy A phone with ultrasonic fingerprint scanner later in the coming year.
As far as Galaxy S10 series is concerned, it is likely to feature three smartphones that will be arriving with different screen sizes of 5.8-inch, 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch. Among these, only the 6.1-inch and 6.4-inch will be equipped with Qualcomm’s ultrasonic fingerprint scanner.
Xiaomi‘s eco-chain company Yeelight has carved a reputation for itself for the wide array of home electric lighting systems including smart light, ceiling lamps, bedside lamps, eye-protection table lamps and others. The company has just launched the Yeelight Meteorite Induction Ceiling Lamp Mini which is similar to the Yeelight induction night lamp which was launched last year. That means the lamp comes with a motion sensor which powers the lamp when movement is detected and then it goes off in the absence of any motion.
The light is very suitable to light up rooms and passageways so that when the main light is turned off at night, they won’t need to turn the light back on when someone wants to use the restroom or have any other cause to wake off in the dead of the night. It actually is equipped with two sensors, a photosensitive sensor and human infrared sensor. It turns on automatically in the dark only when human body movement is detected. When there is no more movement, the light will automatically go off after 60 seconds.
The Yeelight Meteorite Induction Ceiling Lamp Mini has a diameter of 25cm and can also be used in the home porch aisle or balcony thus eliminating the need to switch on the light at any time. This will help to eliminate mosquitoes which are attracted by lights at night. It is said to have an anti-mosquito design but we don’t know how that works. Perhaps, the light won’t attract insects and mosquitoes when switched on.
The scooter is made of premium materials to ensure great durability – it uses metal, quality plastic, and rubber in the construction. The key specs include 20km/h top speed, 25km mileage, 11kg net weight and 100kg max. payload.
In addition, the Xiaomi Nineboot scooter sports a classy design with no visible cables. Also, it has a folding kickstand and a power LED light, so you can ride the scooter safely at night.
With only few days remaining for the official July 19 launch of Xiaomi Mi Max 3, the Chinese manufacturer is now building hype around the smartphone by rolling out new teasers. Xiaomi has already confirmed that the Mi Max 3 will be coming with a massive screen of 6.9 inches and it will be fueled by 5,500mAh battery. Today, it has a released a new teaser video which reveals the actual Mi Max 3 for fraction of a second.

It is expected to arrive in other storage choices like 32 GB and 128 GB that may respectively feature 3 GB and 6 GB of RAM. It is speculated that the 1.8 GHz octa-core processor that drives the Mi Max 3 could be the Snapdragon 636 SoC.
The frontside of the Mi Max 3 features a 6.9-inch IPS LCD display that supports tall aspect ratio of 18:9 and Full HD+ resolution of 2160 x 1080 pixels. Apart from Snapdragon 636, the Mi Max 3 is also rumored to borrow 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 + 5-megapixel dual camera setup from Redmi Note 5 Pro. It may feature an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. The rear side of the phone features a fingerprint reader. Rumors also claim that Xiaomi may launch Snapdragon 710 variant of Mi Max 3. However, this variant has not appeared in any of the recent leaks.
The Xiaomi MI Max 3 will be launching on July 19. After launching the Mi Max 3, the Chinese manufacturer will be heading to Spain to announce the Mi A2 and Mi A2 Lite smartphones through the global unveil event on July 24.

Two new iPads have been certified by the Eurasian Economic Commission (EEC). This confirms that Apple is working to bring at least two brand new tablets in the European market. The two new devices are identified by the model numbers A1895 and A1980 and these new codenames are the confirmation that we are talking about new models certified. Further, they are running iOS 12 which is the latest version of Apple’s operating system. According to reports, Apple is planning to release new models from the iPad Pro line-up, so these ones might be the most powerful upcoming phablets from the Cupertino giant.
One of them is rumored to come with a medium-sized 11-inch display and with a bezel-less design as well which will allow getting a compact device even though its screen is wide enough for productivity. Given the presence of thin bezels, we do not expect to see a Touch ID button, unlike the previous models. It might be replaced by a structured light which will allow users to unlock the tablet with Face ID, thanks to 3D facial recognition, just like the iPhone X. Usually, professional tablets released by Apple come with the most powerful SoC released from the Cupertino company.
To be accurate, they usually boast an enhanced version of the latest iPhones’ chipset. So, if these tablets will be released before the upcoming iPhones, there is a chance that at least one of them will sport a powerful Apple A12X SoC with an hexa-core architecture. Note that the Apple A12 Fusion present on the iPhone X is the only hexa-core mobile chipset able to make all of its six core work together. The SoC would be accompanied by up to 4 GB of RAM in the most powerful variant and up to 256 GB of internal storage or more.

The Xiaomi Mi A1 was the first Android One smartphone from the company and the first to not feature its own MIUI custom interface. The device was first introduced in India and was the rebranded version of the Mi 5X that was launched in India.

As far as specs of the Honor 9N is concerned, it could be sporting the same specs that can be found on China’s Honor 9i. Beauty is not what meets the eye but an essence that is all around us! ✨✨ Get ready to witness beauty like never before at the grand launch of #Honor9N on 24th July! 😍😍 Mark your calendar! #BeautyAllAroundpic.twitter.com/HaOS70q6NO

Smartphones with translucent glass back are gradually gaining some momentum but the design is far from becoming popular. The design was utilized on the HTC U11+ and more recently, Xiaomi unveiled an Explorer edition with a translucent glass panel which gives a glimpse of the internals. OnePlus did not include a translucent glass variant when it launched the OnePlus 6 but that was spotted online. Turned out the translucent glass back design was a third-party creation by a fan of the brand who shared his design on Weibo.
As seen in the photos, the transparent glass back gives a glimpse of the internals such as the battery, fuselage, cable and other components. The fan seems to have moulded the back panel of the OP6 using a translucent material that can then be glued onto the back. Thus, all the components that can be seen when the rear panel is removed become visible. The rear panel has cutouts for the dual rear cameras and flashlight as well as the fingerprint sensor.
Of course, this sort of third-party design brings along safety concerns. OnePlus CEO Lui Zuohu who also shared the pictures adviced that attention is paid to safety when embarking on such venture. The rear panel swap will also void the phone’s warranty. In our opinion, the internal components don’t look too beautiful to have them all displayed. The Mi 8 Explorer edition and HTC U11+ variant with a translucent back looked beautiful because the manufacturer had to arrange the internals to make them attractive. In the case of the Mi 8, the real internals isn’t even what is displayed and we still love it.
In the previous week, Vivo had launched Night Purple color edition of the Vivo X21i smartphone. Today, Vivo has confirmed that it will be selling the Vivo X21 and X21 UD smartphones in the same new color beginning from July 20. The Chinese manufacturer is now receiving pre-orders of the X21 and X21 UD through its official online store.
The below image shows that the Vivo X21 and X21 UD Night Purple editions are respectively priced at 2,998 Yuan and 3,298 Yuan. The newly introduced Night Purple color variant looks like Aurora blue-purple color gradient of the Huawei P20 and P20 Pro smartphones. The Chinese manufacturer claims that the Night Purple is inspired by the night view of the Bolivian Salt Lake. The reflection of the starry sky also produces a similar dreamy color.
The Vivo X21 and Vivo X21 UD are packed with the same specs. However, the only major difference between the two phones is that the X21 UD model features an in-screen fingerprint reader.
The Vivo X21 duo houses a 6.28-inch Super AMOLED display that supports FHD+ resolution and an aspect ratio of 19:9. The Snapdragon 660 SoC is present under the hood of the device. Both phones include 6 GB of RAM and internal storage of 128 GB. The X21 smartphone also comes in a lower variant that features 64 GB of storage and 6 GB of RAM.
For snapping photos, the X21 duo is equipped with 12-mgeapixel dual rear cameras and a selfie shooter of 12-megapixel. The FunTouch OS flavored Android 8.1 Oreo is preinstalled on the X21 and X21 UD. Both phones are fueled by 3,200mAh battery.
Apart from Night Purple, the X21 and X21 UD are also available in other colors like Diamond Black, Ruby Red and Aurora White. The newly launched Night Purple variants of X21 duo are also available on pre-orders through Vivo’s online stores at Tmall, Jingdong, Suning and other online channels.

Under the hood, the device is powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 636 processor along with 6GB of RAM. The smartphone comes in two storage options — 64GB and 128GB, but the Aurora color variant is available for the 128GB internal storage model only.

The company has also promised the upcoming Android P version update for the Lenovo Z5. The device is powered by a 3,300mAh battery which comes with support for 18W fast charging.
Xiaomi is all set to launch its next-generation Mi Max series smartphone on 19th July. Now ahead of the phone’s official launch, the retail box of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 has been leaked online, revealing some of the phone’s key specifications.
From the leaked images of the smartphone’s retail box, it is confirmed that the Mi Max 3 will be powered by Qualcomm‘s recently launched Snapdragon 636 processor. It also revealed that the phone will come with 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
On the photography front, there’s a dual camera setup consisting of a 12-megapixel and 5-megapixel sensors. It also comes with a massive 6.9-inch Full-HD+ notchless display with 18:9 aspect ratio. The accessory information on the box also reveals that the phone will come with USB Type-C port.
The recently leaked images of the phone revealed that the phone will come with MIUI 9 out-of-the-box, which is quite disaapointing as the company has already started rolling out MIUI 10 operating system to some of its smartphones.
According to the rumors, there will be another high-end varaint of the Mi Max 3, which will pack 6GB RAM and 128GB of internal storage. The report also hints that the smartphone will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 710 processor. There are also reports about the 3GB RAM and 32GB storage models.
As of the front-facing camera, the smartphone is expected to come with an 8-megapixel shooter for taking selfies and video calling. Running on Android Oreo operating system, the phone is expected to be fuelled by a 5,500mAh battery.
It’s just a matter of couple of days before we known everything related to the smartphone, including color options, variants, pricing and availability as the company has scheduled a launch event for the Xiaomi Mi Max 3 on 19th July.
Oppo Find X, the Chinese company’s flagship smartphone with almost 94 percent screen-to-body ratio, was launched last month in Paris, France. After the phone’s launch in China and India, the company is now gearing up to launch the Oppo Find X in the UK market.
According to the report, the smartphone will soon be available for purchase in Italy, Spain, France, and the Netherlands. While Oppo spokesperon has confirmed that the phone will land in the UK, no specific date for this has been revealed.
In the Europe, the phone’s pricing starts at €999 and goes all the way up to €1699 for the Find X Lamborghini Edition. While the standard model will be available in two colors — Blue and Red, the Lamborghini Edition comes in Black color.
The Oppo Find X comes with a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ OLED display with 19.5:9 aspect ratio. The display dominates the front side of the phone and it is touted as the world’s first smartphone to come with a screen-to-body-ratio of 93.8 percent.
The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 processor along with 8GB RAM and up to 256GB internal storage. The smartphone doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner, instead, it comes with O-Face (3D face unlock) which OPPO says has a failure rate of 1/1,000,000 compared to that of a fingerprint scanner which is 1/50,000.
The Oppo Find X comes with a motorised sliding mechanism, which equips both — front as well as rear cameras. When this part of the phone slides out, it not only reveals the front camera and 3D face scanning sensors for unlocking the phone, it also reveals the dual rear cameras and LED flash. OPPO has termed its camera as “Stealth 3D cameras”.
The 3D face unlock feature, which Oppo calls O-Face Recognition, uses 3D Structured Light Technology which scans 15,000 facial points. The company claims that it is 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition for unlocking the phone.
For the photography, the smartphone comes equipped with a dual camera setup that consists of a 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel sensors on the back with OIS and AI features. The front-facing camera sensor is of 25-megapixel for taking selfies. It comes with multiple 3D portrait lighting features and Omoji, which is OPPO’s own take on the iPhone X’s emojis.
The Oppo Find X runs on ColorOS 5.1 AI Smart custom UI based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system. The company says that the OS will learn usage habits, preload common applications, and make the app start faster. It also features a smartphone voice assistant. The device is fuelled by a 3730mAh battery, which supports Oppo’s custom VOOC/SuperVOOC fast charging.
Everytime an important flagship gets released, Zack from the YouTube channel JerryRigEverything performs an endurance test in order to check how resistant it is. He did the same with the new Vivo NEX S, which we can define one of the most innovative smartphones of this year. Zack did three kinds of test: a scratch test, a bend test, and a burn test. And the phone has passed all the tests successfully with an incredible result, showing to be a very solid and resistant device.
Zack confirmed that the handset is made of glass for the backplate and metal for the frame, as the company did not reveal it before. One of the main concerns of people who are deciding to buy this handset is the resistance of its motorized pop-up camera. Well, he tested the pop-up camera of the Vivo NEX S as well and it is incredibly solid. It is made of glass and metal just like the device. In the bend test, it flexed a bit, but the display has not cracked and neither the glass back. From what this torture test is showing, besides focusing on innovation and an outstanding hardware side, Vivo has also been able to release a very sturdy phone with long-lasting aesthetics.
Vivo NEX S rocks a wide 6.59-inch display with a Full HD+ resolution of 2316 x 1080 pixels, no notch and an in-display fingerprint reader based on the chip unveiled by Synaptics in the second half of last year. Its processor is the octa-core Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 running at a max frequency of 2.8 GHz, paired with 8 GB of RAM and 128 or 256 GB of internal storage. It boasts a rear dual camera with 12 and 5 MP resolutions, f/1.8 and f/2.4 apertures, while the motorized pop-up camera has a resolution of 8 MP and a f/2.0 aperture.
