OPPO R7S Can Last For 13 Hours Continuously, Will Come In New Colors

OPPO R7S is shaping out to be a powerful handset. The device is confirmed to feature 4GB of RAM, which should essentially leave out any worries about multi-tasking performance. Now, a new teaser reveals that the phone will have impressive battery life.

OPPO R7S Battery

The R7S can reportedly run for almost 13 hours continuously according to the teaser. The official weibo page of OPPO said that while 9 hours of usage is good, the company wanted to offer something better to its fans, which is why the OPPO R7S will have 13 hours of continuous battery life. That’s pretty impressive given that the phone will come with around 3070mAh capacity battery. Such battery life coupled with OPPO’s VOOC fast charging technology should definitely make the overall package attractive.

The most recent leak about the device claims that the phone will come in more than gold and silver variants. In addition to these colors, the phone is also said to come in bright colors like purple, yellow and pink. This makes things interesting as the OPPO R7S is supposed to come in an all metal unibody design. So, we will have to see whether these variants too come with the same metal body.

The R7S is said to come with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 processor, a 5.5-inch full HD 1080p AMOLED display, a 13-megapixel rear camera, an 8-megapixel front-facing camera, and Android 5.1.1 Lollipop.

The company is expected to release the device on October 20, which is less than a week away. So stay tuned.

Meanwhile, you can also check out the leaked images of the metal back panel of the OPPO R7S down below.

EasyAcc DP200 Bluetooth Speaker Review – A Little Powerhouse!

This time around we are looking at a tiny yet surprisingly powerful Bluetooth speaker – EasyAcc DP200.

EasyAcc DP200 Review: VIDEO

EasyAcc DP200 Review: UNBOXING

IMG_3980 IMG_3983
The device comes with USB and AUX cables, and some documentation.

EasyAcc DP200 Review: DESIGN

IMG_3986
When it comes to the design of this speaker, it is very compact and it weighs just 340g.
It has a metal speaker grill and the sound is coming out of three sides of the device.
IMG_3991
On the top we have a play/pause button, which doubles as an answer call key as the speaker supports hands-free calling. All these controls are surrounded by a nice looking blue LED light ring.
IMG_3996 IMG_3997
On the back side we have some more controls. There is a rocker style skip tracks and volume knob. If you swivel it once to either side, it will change tracks and if you swivel and hold it, it will change the volume output. The knob also works as a power key If you press and hold it.
In addition, we have a micro USB charging port and the AUX input for non-Bluetooth devices.
IMG_3995
On the bottom there is a silicone pad to prevent the speaker from sliding.
Overall, the build quality is very good and the design looks premium.

EasyAcc DP200 Review: SOUND QUALITY

IMG_4009
When it comes to the sound, the first thing that will blow you away is the fact that the speaker is very loud as it has the combined 10W of volume output. This is definitely one of the loudest speakers in this size range I’ve tested.
IMG_4020
Also, I was really surprised by the sound quality. Usually, the omni-directional speakers like this do not impress but the EasyAcc DP200 has a lot of depth, bass and overall very balanced sound for such a tiny speaker. Also, there are no crackling noises even at the highest volume setting.

EasyAcc DP200 Review: CONCLUSIONS

IMG_4014

Overall, I can say mostly positive things about the EasyAcc DP200 speaker. It is very compact and it has a great build quality, amazing sound and great volume output.
Also, I didn’t have any Bluetooth issues and the battery lasted for around 7 hours when playing music loud.
IMG_4021
The hands-free calling feature is not the best I’ve seen but understandable conversations are still possible.
All in all, the price tag of $36 may sound a little bit steep for some but EasyAcc DP200 definitely delivers in every aspect it promises. For this price you are getting a well designed speaker that is very compact and it will definitely impress you by its sound and volume output.

EasyAcc 2nd Gen 10000mAh Power Bank Review: UNBOXING

IMG_3514 IMG_3516

The device comes with a microUSB cable and some documentation.

EasyAcc 2nd Gen 10000mAh Power Bank Review: DESIGN

IMG_3521
When it comes to the design of the power bank, it is made of non-glossy plastic but it still attracts a few fingerprints and some smudges. The battery is well built and does not feel cheap at all.
IMG_3527

IMG_3525

On one side we have the power indicator and on the right there is a power key. It also turns on the embedded flashlight if pressed twice.
IMG_3526
On the top we have two USB ports, which can provide 2.4A of output and this is the fastest charging power bank I’ve tested so far. Also, the battery uses some smart technologies to determine the device that is connected and charges it at the maximum possible speeds.

EasyAcc 2nd Gen 10000mAh Power Bank Review: TEST NOTES

IMG_3523
After a week of testing it I can say that it charges up the gadgets really fast. Also, once you need to recharge the power bank itself, it takes just over 6 hours to recharge, which is way faster than e.g. Xiaomi’s power bank I have.
The devices start charging automatically as soon as you connect them to the external battery.

EasyAcc 2nd Gen 10000mAh Power Bank Review: CONCLUSIONS

IMG_3540
All in all, the EasyAcc 2nd Gen 10000mAh power bank is not something extra-ordinary we haven’t seen before but it proved to be a really fast external battery that can charge other devices really fast and it doesn’t need the whole night to be recharged.

Latest Teaser from Xiaomi shows off a camera and a large lens

Yesterday, Xiaomi announced a new teaser for an event to be held on October 19. Like always, the company is counting down the date until the launch and everyday we see some new information about the upcoming product. When the company revealed its first teaser, it said something about a new generation of products.

From the wording we guessed that the upcoming product could be the second generation Xiaomi Mi Pad 2. There were also rumors about the Xiaomi Mi 5 launch, but we think it would be too early to see the device.

xiaomi teaser camera

To make things even more confusing, the latest teaser from Xiaomi reveals a camera and a lens. These are shown separately, so could Xiaomi unveil a new camera and mountable lens on October 19? Along with the teaser, the company has said that its going to be a new technology. Further it states that 1 + 1 > 2.

Now, these hints are not enough to conclude that we may see a new DSLR like camera launch at the event. It could also mean that the new product is a smartphone with powerful camera capabilities and externally mountable lens.

Well, if Xiaomi follows tradition, it will reveal more information about the product in the coming days. So lets wait for some more teasers before making any final conclusions about the upcoming launch.

Anyways, what do you think this teaser means? Does it mean we will see a new generation of camera from Xiaomi?

Umi eMax Mini is a Snapdragon Powered Phone for $149.99

Umi is one of the Chinese manufacturers, which is definitely working hard to stay in the game. They have made some great looking devices with decent specs but as our reviews showed, they had quite a few disadvantages.

The manufacturer has just released the eMax mini – a smaller brother of the eMax and you may want to check out the introduction video below.

The key specs of the Umi eMax include a 5″ 1080P display, which makes the device very compact according to the today’s standards. Also, it uses an octa-core Snapdragon 615 chip and it is coupled with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage.

As far as the optics go, Umi eMax has a 13MP/8MP combo on the back and the front, respectively.

All of these specs are powered by a hefty 3050mAh battery and Android 5.1 is running the show.

All in all, the Umi eMax mini seems like a decent offering considering the specs and price of $149.99 ratio. However, we will be able to give you our opinions only after a full review of this device in the future.

New Leak reveals Nubia X8 to feature USB Type-C port, All metal body

Just yesterday, we came across a couple of alleged pictures of the ZTE Nubia X8. Now, more pictures have been leaked online revealing some new features of the device.

nubia-x8-leak-001

According to the new leak, the Nubia X8 flagship will feature the latest reversible USB Type-C port. This would be a logical move since almost every smartphone that have been released recently come with Type-C port instead of the traditional one. We can confirm this from the image down above.

nubia-x8-leak-usb-type-c

Also, the images reveal that the X8 will feature a similar design as the Nubia Z series family with an all metal body. The leak shows off a device in gold color. We can also see the front of the device, which shows that the phone will be bezelless. Of course, there is a possibility that there might be thin black bezels around the display. However, given that the Nubia Z9 was bezelless and the bezelless look of the teaser image, we can expect the same display on the X8 too.

nubia-x8-leak-003

The front looks pretty normal with the standard red color home button and camera and a bunch of sensor on top. At the back, we can see the rear camera unit with LED flash. What’s interesting though, is the side buttons. It looks like the volume keys will be touch sensitive. Also, the power button is said to feature fingerprint recognition as well.

nubia-x8-leak-002

Unfortunately, we still don’t have much idea about the specs, but you can expect high-end features on the upcoming device like 5.5/5.7-inch 2K display, 4GB RAM & 5120mAh battery.

Nubia X8 teaser

Given that Nubia has an event on October 15, we may see the Nubia X8 flagship as soon as this Thursday.

Stay tuned for more information.

1byone Universal Adjustable Bike Mount Review: VIDEO

IMG_3609
This mount comes in two pieces – one is a phone cradle and another is the mounting bracket.
IMG_3615
A cool thing is that the smartphone cradle’s size is adjustable and it can fit phones or GPS units up to 5.5”.
IMG_3612
It is made of plastic and has rubber pads in each corner and on the base to protect your phone. Also, there is an extra band, which goes around the device for extra protection.
IMG_3618
The mounting cradle is made almost entirely of metal and it is very high quality.
IMG_3625
You can adjust the size of the mounting hole and the angle of the mount and all of that is done by using the metal made knobs.
If you give a good screw to it, the mounting mechanism sits very tight and it does not move at all.
IMG_3627
When it comes to the actual use of this bike mount, it seems to be reliable. The mount doesn’t move when riding the bike on not even surfaces and various bumps. The same can be said about the phone.  Also, you can rotate the cradle in 360 degrees, so can get the best possible angle.
IMG_3629
All in all, the 1byone universal bike mount seems to be a decent offering considering the overall built quality of this device. The cradle part is made of quality plastic and rubber, the mounting bracket is made of metal and the whole implementation seems to be working fine and it is a reliable solution to mount your smartphone on the bicycle.

Xiaomi teases a new product launch on October 19, Will It Be the Mi Pad 2?

In 2015, Xiaomi has been pretty busy throughout the year, releasing new models and updating existing ones. Just a couple of weeks after the company announced the Xiaomi Mi4C model, it’s all set to announce another product, on October 19. While the teaser does not reveal what to expect from the launch, given its timing, it’s quite likely that we will see the Xiaomi Mi Pad 2 pretty soon.

Notable Analyst from China, Pan Juitang has repeatedly said that Xiaomi will announce its new Mi Pad 2 tablet sometime by the third quarter of 2015. While this time frame has already passed, it looks like the company could announce the tablet on October 19. The tablet was recently spotted on the Chinese 3C Quality Certification Center, which also meant that the launch was near.

xiaomi mi pad 2 launch

Specs wise, we have very little information about the new Mi Pad 2. However, Jiutang adds that the tablet should come with support for Windows 10. We have heard of Windows running on Xiaomi devices like the Mi 4, so this is a possibility. But we better wait for an official confirmation from the company.

So, what do you think will be announced at this event? Any other ideas?

ZTE Nubia X8 Leaks In Gold Featuring Touch Volume Buttons, Launch on Oct 15?

Back in May, we had come across a new leak which showed off the ZTE Nubia X8. However, since that time, we haven’t heard much about this particular smartphone. Now, Nubia phone has just released a new teaser on their Weibo page, and from the picture, it looks like this particular device will also be bezelless. Further, the teaser image comes with an X at the bottom, which could be a hint that this is the rumored Nubia X8.

Nubia X8 teaserWhile we will most likely see this handset as soon as October 15, a new leak shows us some of the features of the phone even before the launch. First of all, as you can see, the phone comes in pure gold color with a basic Nubia Z9 like design.

They look like touch based side buttons, which will make it unique among latest offerings. Also, the power button is expected to integrate a fingerprint sensor.

Like the ZTE Nubia Z9 which was bezelless, the Nubia X8 is also said to be bezelless featuring an improved 2.5D arch egde display. As for the specs, earlier leak hinted that the phone might come with a 5.5-inch 2K display with 4GB RAM, and a large 5120mAh battery. But these specs are yet to be confirmed. Since the company has already released a teaser, we can expect the launch on October 15, which is just a couple of days away.

So stay tuned for more details.
