DxOMark has finally published its review of the Vivo X300 Ultra, and the result is a little surprising at first glance.

Despite being Vivo’s most expensive camera flagship and arguably one of the most ambitious camera phones released in recent years, the X300 Ultra did not take the top spot among Vivo devices. Instead, it finished with 170 points, just behind the Vivo X300 Pro’s 171-point score. Huawei’s Pura 80 Ultra currently remains ahead of both at 175 points.

On paper, that one-point difference is almost meaningless. Nobody is going to look at two photos and correctly identify a one-point gap in a DxOMark ranking. Still, the result is interesting because the Ultra costs significantly more and carries substantially more camera hardware.

The explanation seems to come down largely to video.

DxOMark awarded the X300 Ultra a noticeably lower video score than the X300 Pro. According to the review, low-light video performance was one of the weaker areas, with more visible noise and less consistent handling of difficult scenes. The Pro apparently did a better job balancing exposure, dynamic range, and noise reduction under challenging conditions.

The X300 Ultra was built around pushing hardware, especially when it comes to zoom photography. Unsurprisingly, some of its strongest results came in telephoto, ultra-wide, portrait, and zoom testing. DxOMark itself gave the device extremely high marks in several of those categories.

In fact, this is where the rankings become a little more complicated.

Someone who spends most of their time shooting portraits, wildlife, distant subjects, or travel photos may very well prefer the X300 Ultra over the X300 Pro despite the lower overall score. A single ranking number doesn’t always capture those differences particularly well.

DxOMark also pointed to occasional image artifacts and moments where processing could look somewhat unnatural. That’s not a criticism unique to Vivo. Many smartphone brands are now leaning heavily on computational photography and AI processing, and sometimes the software gets a little too enthusiastic.

The result highlights something that smartphone enthusiasts have debated for years: the “best camera phone” often depends on what you actually photograph.

The X300 Pro appears to be the more balanced device according to DxOMark’s testing methodology. The X300 Ultra, meanwhile, feels more specialized. It excels in areas that many photography enthusiasts care deeply about, even if that comes with a few trade-offs elsewhere.

Vivo finally joins its Chinese rivals, Oppo, OnePlus, and Realme, to offer its users early access to Android 17 via the Developer Preview program. This preview program build is based on Android 17 Beta 2 and is currently limited to the newest flagships, Vivo X300 Pro and iQOO 15.

The company has already begun accepting applications for its Android 17 Developer Preview program, although it’s currently live in mainland China. We can expect its expansion to other regions in the coming days and weeks. We’ll keep you posted in the Vivo section.

If you have an eligible device and live in a supported region, you can sign up for Android 17 Developer Preview and get early access to the latest features and upgrades. Keep in mind that these early builds are intended for developers and advanced users. Below is a list of issues in the current beta build shared by Vivo.

1. Fingerprint cannot be used
2. Screenshot function is unavailable.
3. Some built-in and third-party applications may crash.
4. Some system settings (system style, easy mode, privacy system, etc.) cause crashes.

Before you upgrade to Android 17 beta, note that you can’t go back to the preview stable build without doing a full factory reset. Make sure to back up important data. Also, ensure that your phone has at least 5GB of free storage and is charged to at least 40% before installing the beta build.

How to install Android 17 beta on Vivo and iQOO phones?

Back up your important data by navigating to Settings > Additional settings > Back Up and Reset > Backup & Restore and choosing what to back up. Once done, download the required firmware file from the official website.

Now, follow these steps:

1. Connect your Vivo phone to a computer via a USB cable.
2. Switch the phone’s USB settings to file transfer mode.
3. Copy the downloaded software firmware to the phone’s internal storage. (if it isn’t already there)
4. On your phone, go to Settings > System Management and Upgrade > System Upgrade > Upgrade Settings > Local Upgrade
5. Choose the downloaded firmware file and start the upgrade.
6. Once the upgrade is complete, tap Restart.

If you encounter any problems with the beta build, submit your feedback through the Feedback application. This will help the brand in addressing those bugs. You can also downgrade to the stable Android 16 build. Check the Vivo developer site for the required package and steps.

Samsung’s new Ultra and Vivo’s X300 Pro are two very different takes on what a premium Android flagship should be in 2026. The former is a polished hardware with a long software promise and feature depth. Whereas Vivo pushes more on camera sensors, battery capacity, and value-for-money. 

Both phones run Android 16. Both use 3nm chips. Both promise serious camera hardware. But they take very different approaches in design, display, performance, and battery life.

Here’s how they compare.

Big screens, different vibes

The S26 Ultra is unapologetically massive. It features a 6.9-inch Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X panel with a sharp 1440p resolution and up to 120Hz refresh rate. It’s bright up to 2,600 nits, and is layered with Gorilla Armor 2 plus an anti-reflective coating that cuts glare.

The X300 Pro is slightly smaller at 6.78 inches, but it fights back with sheer brightness numbers. Vivo claims it can reach up to 4,500 nits peak and also supports Dolby Vision, HDR Vivid, and 1 billion colors. 

You shouldn’t notice that much of a difference in daily use. But something extra on Samsung is its new Privacy Display. The latter basically reduces screen visibility from side angles, so that no one can peek at your screen and see your important information. 

What’s amazing is that Privacy Display can be controlled from settings and can even be set for specific types of apps or notifications. Vivo lacks an in-built Privacy Display option, but you can apply a privacy screen protector for a similar result. Otherwise, both phones have a good display. 

Design

The Galaxy S26 Ultra measures 163.6 x 78.1 x 7.9 mm and weighs 214 grams. It uses a glass front protected by Corning Gorilla Armor 2, a Gorilla Glass Victus 2 back, and an Armor Aluminum 2 frame. It carries an IP68 rating (submersible up to 1.5 meters for 30 minutes) and includes an integrated stylus.

The Vivo X300 Pro is slightly shorter and narrower at 161.2 x 75.5 x 8 mm but heavier at 226 grams. It uses Armor Glass on the front, an aluminum alloy frame, and a glass back. It carries IP68 and IP69 certification, meaning it’s rated not just for immersion but also for high-pressure water jets.

However, neither has a headphone jack. Both use a USB-C 3.2 port for charging. You can also use it as a DisplayPort output for Samsung DeX on the S26 Ultra.

SIM configurations differ by region. Samsung supports combinations of Nano-SIM and eSIM (maximum two active at a time), while Vivo offers dual Nano-SIM plus eSIM options internationally.

Performance

The S26 Ultra runs on the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 (3nm), paired with an Adreno 840 GPU. Its CPU configuration includes two high-performance Oryon V3 Phoenix L cores at 4.74 GHz and six Phoenix M cores at 3.62 GHz. Storage options include 256GB/12GB RAM, 512GB/12GB RAM, and 1TB/16GB RAM, using UFS 4.x storage.

The X300 Pro runs MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 (3nm) with a tri-cluster CPU design: one C1-Ultra core at 4.21 GHz, three C1-Premium cores at 3.5 GHz, and four C1-Pro cores at 2.7 GHz, paired with an Arm G1-Ultra GPU. Storage configurations include 256GB/12GB, 512GB/16GB, and 1TB/16GB with dual UFS 4.1.

Both phones are fast, and you’re unlikely to be disappointed by performance. Software makes the opinion different here. Samsung’s One UI has a clean look, and the company also offers the industry’s highest seven major Android upgrades. Vivo promises up to five major Android upgrades with OriginOS 6. 

Cameras

This is where things get interesting.

Samsung uses a quad-camera setup, including:

• 200MP main sensor
• 3x optical telephoto
• 5x periscope telephoto
• 50MP ultrawide

It supports laser autofocus, Horizon Lock, Best Face, 10-bit HDR video, HDR10+, and 8K recording at up to 30fps.

Vivo, meanwhile, goes for sensor size:

• 50MP large primary sensor
• 200MP periscope (3.7x optical)
• 50MP ultrawide

It includes Zeiss optics, Zeiss T* lens coating, a color spectrum sensor, 3D LUT import, Dolby Vision HDR recording, and 4K 120fps 10-bit Log recording.

Samsung provides two dedicated telephoto focal lengths (3x and 5x). Vivo relies on a high-resolution 200MP periscope to cover multiple zoom ranges.

There’s a difference in terms of selfie camera, too. Samsung uses a 12MP front camera with dual-pixel autofocus. Meanwhile, Vivo features a 50MP autofocus front camera. Both support 4K video recording.

Battery and charging

The X300 Pro packs a massive 6,510mAh silicon-carbon battery (in most global markets) and supports 90W wired charging plus 40W wireless. Meanwhile, the S26 Ultra sticks to 5,000mAh, but increases wired charging to 60W and offers 25W wireless with Qi2 support.

Connectivity and extras

Samsung supports Wi-Fi 7 (tri-band), Bluetooth 6.0, Ultra Wideband (UWB), Samsung DeX (wired and wireless), and a barometer sensor.

Vivo supports Wi-Fi 7 (dual-band), Bluetooth 5.4 with aptX HD and LHDC 5, NavIC satellite positioning, and optional satellite connectivity. It lacks UWB but adds an infrared port.

Both use ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensors and include standard flagship sensors.

So which one should you buy?

If you want the safest long-term flagship, the Galaxy S26 Ultra is the smarter choice. It feels refined in a way that comes from Samsung doing this over and over again.

If you care most about camera detail, huge battery life, and fast charging, the Vivo X300 Pro might actually be more exciting. Both win, just in different competitions.

DxOMark has published its camera review of the Vivo X300 Pro, and the phone has landed near the very top of the rankings.

The X300 Pro currently sits in second place overall, just behind Huawei’s Pura 80 Ultra. It ranks ahead of several high-profile flagships, including the Oppo Find X8 Ultra and Apple’s iPhone 17 Pro. This is Vivo’s best DxOMark result so far, improving on the X200 Ultra, which previously placed in the top five.

In terms of scores, the X300 Pro earns 171 points for photography. That’s slightly lower than the X200 Ultra’s photo score, meaning the older model still holds a small edge in still images. Video is where the newer phone makes a much bigger jump.

DxOMark gives the X300 Pro 169 points for video, placing it second in the video category overall and ahead of every Android phone tested so far. Only the iPhone 17 Pro scores higher for video, making Vivo’s latest flagship one of the strongest non-Apple options for filming.

According to the test, the phone performs particularly well in telephoto shots, zoom, bokeh, and low-light scenes. DxOMark also notes stable exposure, good dynamic range, mostly accurate white balance, and consistent skin tones in both photos and videos. Video stabilization is another area where the X300 Pro scores highly.

There are still some weaknesses. The review mentions contrast issues in certain HDR scenes, a relatively narrow ultra-wide camera, and occasional artifacts such as ghosting or color fringing. In low light, images can sometimes look over-processed, and darker skin tones may appear slightly brighter than intended.

Even with those limitations, the X300 Pro delivers a strong overall camera performance, with video standing out as its main strength. Vivo appears to be closing the gap with the very top camera phones as 2025 comes to an end.

Vivo has started rolling out a new OriginOS 6 update for the X300 series globally on December 10, 2025. The update adds a few new features to the global build of OriginOS 6, bringing some elements already available in the Chinese version to international users. The update focuses on sound control, lockscreen customization, and new widgets, though not all additions feel well thought out.

The update introduces three main changes. These include Global Silent Mode improvements, Text-Style Lockscreens, and two new widgets related to gaming.

The Global Silent Mode update is the most useful change in this release. Earlier, enabling Silent Mode muted calls and notifications, but media volume stayed active. With the new update, users can now disable media volume as well when Silent Mode is turned on. This option is available in the Sound and Vibration section of the settings menu. The change makes Silent Mode more complete and avoids the need to manually lower media volume in quiet situations.

Text-Style Lockscreens have also been added to the global version of OriginOS 6. These are the same lockscreen styles that were introduced recently in the Chinese version. The feature allows users to apply different text-based designs, fonts, and decorations on the lockscreen. It does not add new functionality, but it offers more visual customization and gives users more control over how their lockscreen looks. The designs are well done and fit the overall style of the interface.

The update also brings two new widgets, and their quality is mixed. The first is the Game Space widget. This widget provides a toggle that lets users quickly access installed games. It does not show any recommendations, which keeps the interface clean and focused. This widget feels appropriate for a premium device and works as expected.

The second widget is the Game Center widget. Unlike the Game Space widget, this one pushes game recommendations directly on the home screen. Vivo has introduced its new flagship duo, the X300 and X300 Pro, to the Indian market. The phones first debuted in China earlier this year and now arrive in India with high-end hardware, Zeiss-tuned cameras, dedicated imaging chips, and long-term software support.

The Vivo X300 features a compact 6.31-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED display with ultra-narrow 1.05mm bezels, HDR10+ support, and an adaptive 1-120Hz refresh rate. The X300 Pro steps up with a larger 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPO OLED panel with similarly narrow 1.1mm bezels and the same 120Hz refresh capability.

Both displays support up to 4500 nits of local peak brightness, 2160Hz PWM dimming, and full-brightness DC dimming for better eye comfort. The displays are protected by Armor Glass for added durability.

Under the hood, both phones use the flagship 3nm MediaTek Dimensity 9500 processor, which clocks up to 4.21GHz and is paired with the Arm Mali-G1 Ultra MC12 GPU. What’s coming in the Vivo X300 series cameras?

Ahead of the 2nd December 2025 launch, the Chinese tech giant officially released dedicated Amazon and Flipkart microsites that teased the upcoming flagship’s camera systems. Looking at the image posters, the standard Vivo X300 packs a 200MP ISOCELL HPB main camera with an f/1.68 aperture and OIS support (Optical Image Stabilization), a 50MP Samsung JN1 ultra wide angle lens, and a 50MP Zeiss APO telephoto shooter, which is a Sony LYT602 sensor with OIS support.

Just like before, the camera system arrives with both Zeiss tuning and Zeiss lenses for an improved photography experience. On the other hand, the Vivo X300 Pro also gets the same 200MP camera, but this is a Zeiss APO telephoto shooter with OIS on the flagship phone. Vivo’s new X300 series is set to launch in India on December 2, and since this is a follow-up launch after its debut in China, we are fairly familiar with most of the specs. The only details under the hood are the prices, and fortunately, a new leak has now taken care of that as well. 

Tipster Abhishek Yadav took to X to reveal the Indian prices for both the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, plus the cost of the optional photography kit. And if the leak is accurate, the lineup is not going to be cheap.

India is getting the Vivo X300 starting with the 12/256GB variant at Rs 75,999. The 12/512GB model will retail for Rs 81,999, and the 16/512GB variant will be priced at Rs 85,999.

As for the Vivo X300 Pro, it will only be available in India in a single 16/512GB variant for Rs 109,999. The photography kit, which Vivo has been pushing as a pro-friendly add-on, is expected to cost ₹19,999.

The prices are unsurprisingly higher compared to China. The X300, for instance, starts at around Rs 54,700 for the 12/256GB variant, while the X300 Pro’s 16/512GB model is priced at roughly Rs 75,000 in the mainland.

Vivo X300 / Pro Specs

For the price, you are getting flagships powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 9500 chip. The X300 is a compact model with a 6.31-inch OLED display and a 50MP selfie camera. The rear setup includes a 200MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and a 50MP periscope unit. And despite its compactness, it packs a 6040mAh battery.

The Pro brings a bugger 6.78-inch display with the same 50MP selfie camera. The back has a 50MP main, 50MP ultrawide, and 200MP telephoto unit. It gets its fuel via a 6510mAh cell.

While Vivo has not confirmed full global release details, tipster Paras Guglani has shared information on color and storage variants ahead of launch. According to his post on X, the standard Vivo X300 will be available in Halo Pink, Iris Purple, Mist Blue, and Phantom Black. Global variants will come with up to 16 GB of RAM and 512 GB of storage. The 1 TB model sold in China will not be offered internationally.

Now, a new report by SmartPrix, citing tipster Yogesh Brar as the source, has revealed the Vivo X300 series’ launch timeframe for India.

Vivo X300 series launch timeframe

According to the report, the Vivo X300 series will launch in the first week of December. This seems possible as both X300 (model number: V2515) and X300 Pro (V2514) have been approved in India. The photography-focused lineup will arrive as a major rival to the Oppo Find X9 series, which is expected to debut in November in the country.

The X300 and X300 Pro will be Vivo’s first phones to come preloaded with OriginOS 6 in India. The new UI promises to be cleaner and offer a better user experience than the existing Funtouch OS. As far as the global launch is concerned, the X300 series is scheduled to debut on Oct. 30 for the European markets.

At present, there is no information about the Vivo X300 series’ pricing for the Indian market. For reference, the X200 and X200 Pro were priced at Rs 65,999 and Rs 94,999 at launch. There’s a possibility that the X300 and X300 Pro may arrive in the Indian market with similar pricing. With a first-week-of-December launch tipped, the X300 series’ official teasers are expected to surface sometime in the next few weeks in India.

The Vivo X300 series also includes the Vivo X300 Ultra, which is expected to launch in China in Q2 2026. There’s no clarity on whether the Ultra edition will be released in markets outside of China.

The camera samples shared by tipster Ice Universe were taken at 10x and 35x zoom in relatively low-light conditions — and they show just how capable Vivo’s zoom setup really is. At first glance, both 10x samples look similarly saturated. But the X300 Pro preserved textures much better than the S25 Ultra, which suffered from noticeable noise and artifacts. To be fair, it’s not just about sensor size — much of it comes down to image processing, especially noise handling. Moving to the 35x shots, the difference becomes even more apparent.

Vivo’s new flagship, the X300 Pro, feels like the brand’s latest attempt to blur the line between its “mainstream premium” and its “Ultra” lineup. If you looked at it on paper without the name, you might easily mistake it for one of Vivo’s more expensive Ultra models. 

And that’s the point. This phone borrows nearly everything that made the X200 Ultra stand out, but brings it to a slightly more approachable tier. Here are the things that make Vivo X300 Pro truly special. 

A camera system that means business

Vivo has made cameras the heart of its flagship phones, and the X300 Pro keeps that focus front and center. On paper, this is one of the most capable camera systems outside of Vivo’s own Ultra range. 

It shares a lot of DNA with the X200 Ultra from earlier this year, even supporting the same telephoto extender lens accessory that first debuted with that device.

It’s the telephoto that really tells the story. Vivo worked with Samsung to develop a new 200-megapixel HPB sensor. It’s an 85mm-equivalent lens with optical image stabilization and a 3.7x optical zoom. 

On paper, it’s nearly identical to the industry-leading periscope found in the X200 Ultra. The only small trade-off is a slightly narrower f/2.67 aperture, which may let in a bit less light, but most users won’t notice that difference outside of side-by-side tests.

The X300 Pro uses Sony’s new LYT-828 sensor for the main camera. It has a brighter f/1.6 aperture for improved low-light performance and faster shutter response. 

Even the 50MP ultrawide, though technically smaller in sensor size than the Ultra’s, supports autofocus, 4K video capture, and macro photography. All three cameras shoot 4K at up to 120 frames per second and can capture 10-bit Log video with Dolby Vision HDR. There’s also 8K recording, and support for Zeiss T* lens coating to reduce glare and ghosting.

Support for telephoto extender

One of the more interesting things Vivo has done is bring support for its clip-on telephoto extender to the X300 Pro. It’s a physical 2.35x optical add-on that mounts over the phone’s telephoto lens via a special case.

The extender turns the phone into a pseudo-compact camera, capable of zooming further than most smartphones without digital cropping.

Now, that same accessory works with both the X300 and X300 Pro. It’s sold separately for ¥1,299 (about $180) or bundled in a Photography Kit that includes a grip and an extra battery. 

It’s surprising to see Vivo open up this feature to a non-Ultra phone so soon. Most brands tend to keep these perks exclusive to their top-tier models. Now, I’m excited to see what the Vivo X300 Ultra will bring to differentiate itself from the Pro phones. The telephoto extender was the main highlight of the X200 Ultra.

Performance that keeps up with the best

Inside, the X300 Pro runs on MediaTek’s new Dimensity 9500 chipset, built on a 3-nanometer process. The chip goes head-to-head with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5.

The Dimensity 9500 features an all-big-core CPU design, with one C1 Ultra core running at 4.21 GHz, three C1-Premium cores at 3.5 GHz, and four C1-Pro cores clocked at 2.7 GHz.

Paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage, this is flagship-level hardware through and through. The phone ships with Android 16 running Vivo’s new OriginOS 6, and the company promises four years of major updates.

Everything about the X300 Pro’s internals points to efficiency, and that’s reflected in the battery design too. Vivo uses a 6,510mAh silicon-carbon battery, which the company claims performs like a 7,500mAh cell in traditional lithium-ion terms. It supports 90W wired charging, 40W wireless charging, and both reverse wired and wireless charging.

Integration with the Apple ecosystem

Perhaps the most unexpected feature is its integration with Apple’s ecosystem. Vivo claims the X300 Pro is the first Android phone that can seamlessly sync with Apple devices.

Users can access iPhone photos, share files with a shake gesture, or even edit videos across devices. This feature is built into OriginOS 6, though you’ll need to download an additional app from the App Store to enable cross-device communication.

And to be fair, the services it offers make the download worth it. The X300 series can sync health and fitness data directly from an Apple Watch to the Vivo Health app.

More impressively, you can receive call and message notifications from X300 to your Apple Watch, something previously exclusive to only iPhones. You can also track your AirPods without extra software, use your phone as an extended display on a Mac, and more.

At this point, Vivo is leaving no stone unturned to give both Android and iOS users a reason to switch or upgrade to its phones, and that could be a major factor in the X300’s success.

Design and Display

The display is another highlight. It’s a 6.78-inch LTPO AMOLED panel with a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision, and a claimed peak brightness of 4,500 nits. 

The screen supports Ultra HDR image rendering and 2160Hz PWM dimming, which helps reduce flicker for people sensitive to it. Beneath it sits an ultrasonic fingerprint reader, which tends to be faster and more reliable than the optical scanners used in most other Android phones.

Physically, the X300 Pro looks and feels premium. It has a glass back, an aluminum alloy frame, and a large but comfortable body — 161.2mm tall, 8mm thick, and 226 grams. 

Vivo has gone further with durability this time, giving the phone both IP68 and IP69 ratings, meaning it can handle not just submersion but also high-pressure water jets. That’s rare, even among high-end phones.

You won’t find a headphone jack here, but Vivo compensates with 24-bit Hi-Res audio through its stereo speakers and wireless support for aptX HD and LHDC 5 codecs. There’s also Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, infrared, and optional satellite connectivity, depending on the region.

A more accessible flagship

The Vivo X300 Pro starts at ¥5,299 (around $745), which makes it significantly cheaper than most “Ultra” phones while offering nearly the same performance and camera capabilities. 

The regular X300, which starts at ¥4,399 (about $620), shares most of the same hardware but comes in a smaller 6.31-inch body and slightly different camera arrangement.

Although, it is worth noting that the X300 Pro doesn’t win by a massive margin, and only edges past the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max. One notable area where the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max performed better is with thermal dissipation.

Vivo is set to launch its X300 series — the X300 and X300 Pro — today (October 13). Ahead of the official unveiling, the company has revealed official hands-on images and camera samples of the phone, giving an idea of what to expect.

Starting with the hands-on shots, the overall design remains similar to the X200 Pro, featuring a circular camera island with Zeiss branding. The flash module is located outside the camera deco, just like last year. Inside the camera deco, there are three lenses, with the top-left one being the periscope telephoto.

The sides are flat with slightly rounded edges for a comfortable grip, but the back glass is completely flat this year, unlike the X200 Pro’s panel, which was slightly curved near the edges. The back panel also appears to have a matte finish. Overall, the X300 Pro has a more boxy design compared to its predecessor.

One of the highlights of the X300 Pro series is the 200MP ISOCELL HPB sensor (1/1.4″) powering the 85mm periscope telephoto. Now, let’s take a look at the image samples Vivo has shared in advance.

The main camera uses the Sony LYT-828 sensor, an upgrade over the LYT-818 used in the X200 Pro, although the sensor size remains the same at 1/1.28″.

On the inside, the phone boasts the Dimensity 9500 chipset and a 6,510mAh battery — an upgrade over the Dimensity 9400 and 6,000mAh unit of the predecessor — and is paired with 90W wired charging. Alongside the Dimensity 9500, the phone also includes two dedicated imaging chips: VS1 for pre-processing and V3 for post-processing. On the front, it’s rumored to pack a 1.5K 120Hz BOE Q10+ AMOLED panel with 1.1mm equilateral bezels.

The Vivo X300 series of smartphones are all set to launch on the coming Monday, Oct. 13, in China. The lineup has two models, namely the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro. Ahead of the launch, both smartphones have surfaced in China Telecom’s product library, revealing key details about their specifications and variants. At the same time, a leaked presentation slide has also emerged to reveal details that are not available in the China Telecom listings. Vivo X300 Pro specifications (rumored)

The Vivo X300 Pro (model number V2502A) will measure 161.98 x 75.48 x 7.99mm and weigh 226 grams. It will be available in shades like Freedom Blue, Simple White, Pure Black, and Wilderness Brown.

It will feature a 6.78-inch BOE Q10+ OLED panel that offers a 1.5K resolution (2800 x 1260 pixels), a 120Hz refresh rate, and circular polarization. It will be powered by the Dimensity 9500 chipset and pack a 6510mAh battery, which will have support for 90W wired and 40W wireless charging.

On the photography side, the Vivo X300 Pro will have a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 front camera with a 92-degree FOV. Its rear camera setup, covering focal lengths such as 24 / 50 / 85mm, will feature a 200-megapixel Sony LYT-828 primary camera with OIS, a 50-megapixel Samsung JN1 ultra-wide lens, and an OIS-enabled 200-megapixel Samsung HPB periscope telephoto camera.

The X300 Pro will feature Vivo’s VS1 (pre-processing) and V3+ (post-processing) imaging chips. The OnePlus 15 is expected to be unveiled in China on 27th October 2025. Meanwhile, a recent rumor claims that the global release might be set for 13th November 2025.

OnePlus is making notable changes with its next flagship model, which is moving away from the Hasselblad camera tuning and focusing on offering performance at a great value. This model is expected to debut with a 6.85-inch Samsung AMOLED screen with a 2K resolution, a 144Hz refresh rate, and an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor. It is equipped with the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, a 7,000mAh battery pack, and 100W wired fast charging support.

Vivo X300 Series

While the Vivo X300 series will be the first set of premium devices that feature the Dimensity 9500 in China, it will arrive after the Find X9 series in India. The Vivo X300 and Vivo X300 Pro are set to launch on 13th October 2025. But considering the Vivo X200 lineup arrived in India in December 2024, we can expect a similar launch timeline for the Vivo X300 series.

The base X300 is a compact flagship with a 6.31-inch display; however, the X300 Pro is a tall 6.78-inch full fledged premium phone. These models are getting an upgrade in terms of battery capacity, camera performance, display quality, and much more.

MediaTek’s Dimensity 9500 chipset is set to power a new generation of flagship smartphones. Built on a 3nm process, the chip features console-grade ray tracing, improved AI capabilities, and major gains in power efficiency.

It introduces an updated NPU, a faster CPU architecture, and support for advanced display and camera features. The first phones with the Dimensity 9500 will arrive in October, with Vivo and Oppo leading the charge.

Vivo X300 & X300 Pro

Vivo will be the first brand to launch Dimensity 9500-powered phones. The company will unveil the Vivo X300 series on October 13 in China. The lineup includes the standard X300 and the higher-end X300 Pro.

As per leaks, both devices use BOE’s Q10 Plus LTPO OLED displays with a 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The X300 has a 6.31-inch screen, while the X300 Pro features a 6.78-inch panel. The panels support minimum brightness as low as 1 nit for better eye protection.

Vivo has equipped both models with the Dimensity 9500 chip. This enables faster performance, hardware-based ray tracing, and AI enhancements for imaging and power management. The X300 Pro has a triple rear camera setup with a 50MP Sony LYT-828 sensor, a 200MP Samsung HPB periscope telephoto lens, and a 50MP JN5 ultra-wide camera.

The X300 has a slightly different configuration, using the same 200MP HPB sensor as its main camera, alongside a 50MP ultra-wide lens and a 50MP Sony LYT602 periscope unit. Both phones support 4K 60fps portrait video recording and Zeiss optics.

According to a recent leak, the X300 will feature a 6,040mAh battery, while the X300 Pro will use a larger 6,510mAh unit. Both support 90W wired charging and fast wireless charging. The phones will ship with Android 16 and Vivo’s OriginOS 6, which includes ecosystem support for Apple devices.

Oppo Find X9 & X9 Pro

Oppo has scheduled the China launch of the Find X9 and Find X9 Pro for October 16, and a global launch event is set to follow on October 28. Both devices will use the Dimensity 9500 chip, with ColorOS 16 based on Android 16 running out of the box.

According to leaks and rumors, the Find X9 Pro features a 6.78-inch flat LTPO OLED display with 1.5K resolution and 120Hz refresh rate. The screen supports up to 3,600 nits of peak brightness and uses Tianma’s latest 1-nit bright eye-protection panel. Oppo has confirmed an ultrasonic fingerprint sensor under the display.

The Pro model uses a 50MP Sony LYT-828 main sensor, a 50MP Samsung JN5 ultra-wide, and a 200MP Samsung HP5 periscope telephoto camera. The module also includes a 2MP multispectral sensor.

Oppo has designed the camera layout with a rounded-square design and included Hasselblad branding. The phone supports an external Hasselblad teleconverter for added zoom capabilities. For selfies, a 32MP lens is present on the Find X9, while the Pro version upgrades to a 50MP front-facing unit.

The Find X9 Pro includes a 7,500mAh battery with 80W wired charging and 50W wireless charging. The Find X9 uses a slightly smaller 7,025mAh battery and retains the same charging speeds.

The Find X9 and X9 Pro have received certification in multiple markets, including Thailand, India, Singapore, and Malaysia, confirming their international rollout plans. Oppo has also revealed that ColorOS 16 will be released on October 15, just ahead of the Find X9 launch.

Why Dimensity 9500 Matters

The Dimensity 9500 uses an eight-core architecture with a 4.21GHz Ultra Core, three 3.5GHz Super Cores, and four 2.7GHz Performance Cores. MediaTek claims a 32 percent increase in single-core performance and a 17 percent boost in multi-core performance over its predecessor. The chip also uses 55 percent less power at peak load.

MediaTek has added support for 4-channel UFS 4.1 storage and LPDDR5X RAM at 9600Mbps, enabling faster data transfers and smoother multitasking. The new NPU 990 improves large model processing and allows 100 percent faster AI image generation at 4K resolution while consuming 33 percent less power.

The G1-Ultra GPU delivers a 33 percent jump in graphics performance and improves power efficiency by 42 percent. Features like MegaLights in Unreal Engine 5.6 and support for Nanite rendering position the chip as a serious option for mobile gaming.

The Imagiq 1190 ISP allows for 320MP image capture, Dolby Vision 4K recording at 120fps with stabilization, and adaptive display enhancements via MiraVision.

Now, Vivo Product Manager Han Boxiao has officially confirmed that both the upcoming X300 Pro and X300 will include a USB-C 3.2 port. In addition, iQOO Product Director Galant V has confirmed that the iQOO 15 will also ship with a USB-C 3.2 port.

The move to USB 3.2 is significant as it enables much faster data transfer speeds compared to USB 2.0, which will benefit users handling large files, photos, and videos. It also improves compatibility with high-speed storage devices and allows for smoother connectivity when transferring data to laptops or PCs.

Apart from this, both phones have the same Samsung HPB camera. While the X300 features it as a primary snapper, the X300 Pro uses it as a periscope telephoto camera. Speaking of cameras, both will come with support for the Zeiss 2.35x teleconverter attachment.
