It’s time for the next flagship device from Micromax, it has only been 2 months since the last one, the Micromax Canvas Knight, and two months before that they released the Micromax Canvas Turbo. Overexcited? Perhaps, but let’s assess the new Micromax Canvas Gold A300 and see what the most recent fanfare is all about.
There have been some tantalising pictures leaked and some specifications released, the attractive and slim (6.9mm) smartphone has a built in battery, and rubberised sockets for all the usual accessories. Inside, the features include Android Kitkat 4.4.2 and a top of the range octa-core SoC, but don’t expect to get it cheaply; it’s priced at around $400, making it the most expensive smartphone Micromax have ever made.
The Micromax Canvas Gold A300 has a 5.5 inch 1080 x 1920 full HD display, the octa-core processor clocks at 2GHz and there’s 2GB of RAM. The storage capacity is 32GB, there has been no word on whether this is expandable yet, however. The camera is a definite step forward, the front is a fairly standard 5MP but the rear is 16MP, which is the highest pixel rate of any Micromax smartphone. This pixel rate, coupled with the auto-focus and reports of Sony sensors, makes the Canvas Gold A300 camera one of the best available at the moment.
Thia dual SIM device has many connectivity features such as GPS, GPRS/ EDGE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, Wi-Fi Hotspot and Bluetooth v4.0. The battery is a 2300 mAh which allows for 8 hours of phone talk time or 210 standby hours. The built-in battery seems adequate enough to run such a powerful smartphone then.

On May 15, Xiaomi formally launched the Mi Tablet announcing that it would be sold at the starting cost of 1499 RMB.
The Mi Tablet sports a 7.9-inch display screen with 2048 x 1536 resolution. It uses NVIDIA’s Tegra K1 quad-core processor with a main frequency of 2.2GHz. It also has 2GB RAM and 16/64GB internal memory storage. It supports micro SD expandable memory card up to 128GB, has a 5mP/8mP Sony dual-camera, and is powered by a 6700mAh battery.
The Mi Tablet also supports 802.11 ac, 2.4GHz/5GHz dual-frequency WiFi and Blu Ray 4.0. Its operating system is the MIUI Pad system which is based on the Android 4.4.2.
According to Xiaomi’s official Weibo account, the Mi Tablet will hit Xiaomi’s online store on July 1 (next Tuesday) at 12 PM. Only the 16GB white edition will be sold for now.

Today, Huawei’s vice-CEO, Yu Chengdong, posted a message saying that beside the Honor 6, they are still preparing the Honor 3C China Telecom Edition, Honor Cube, and Honor TalkBand. The latter two have already been introduced to the public. Tonight, Huawei will reveal what their prices and release dates are. As of now, they have not announced what the fifth product will be.
Based on information that has been released so far, the Honor 6 sports a 5-inch 1080p screen, a 5mP/13mP dual-camera, and 3GB memory. It supports 4G internet and was supposed Huawei’s newest chipset, the Kirin 920, but due to recent circumstances, it looks lik they will use a Snapdragon processor.

To compete with the Huawei P7, ZTE revealed their newest 4G flagship phone, the Qingyang 2 4G edition. Recently, photos of the new phone were leaked online.
The ZTE Qingyang 2 4G edition almost looks exactly the same as the original. It has a white thin shape. The speakers are located at the bottom while the standby and volume buttons are located at the right side. Unlike the regular version however, on the back of the phone, you can see its new logo.
According to earlier reports, the Qingyang 2 4G edition will be available in black and white and sports a 5-inch 720p display screen and 2GB RAM. It also uses the 4G MT6592 octa-acore chipset (with the frequency band of the MT6290). The rest of its features are the same as the original. It has a 5mP/8mP camera and runs on a 2300mah battery.
The Qingyang 2 4G edition is set to hit stores at the end of the month with some sources saying that it will cost around 3000 RMB.
Huawei’s Honor Cube revealed: will use a dual-core dual-processor and cost less than 1500 RMB (240.81 USD)
Huawei’s new flagship phone, the Honor 6, won’t be the only one making the news with its release tomorrow. Huawei will also soon release its new router, the Honor Cube.
The Huawei Honor Cube is the member of its line of router products including the Mi Router, NAS, and TV Box. It comes with a 1TB hard disk and supports functions such as offline downloading and high definition.
According to a Weibo user, the Honor Cube will be sold starting at under 1500 RMB. Not only will it have all the features of the Mi Router and Mi Box, but will also have more of Huawei’s newly-developed programs like guest WiFI and will provide a better user experience by supporting features such as Blue-Ray.
According to reports, the Honor Cube will use a dual-core dual operating system (1GHz, router system + dual-core 1.5GHz, Android system). It supports 802.11ac WiFi with dual-frequency (2.4GHz/5GHz), 1GB RAM, and 4GB Flash memory.

Reliable sources say that DOOV may choose to release the DOOV S2L in China during the summer break, somewhere in July or August. By releasing it in the summer, they hope to target students. Furthermore, the DOOV S2L will use a quad-core processor with a main frequency of 1.3GHz that can support 4G internet, probably the MT6582 LTE chip. MediaTek’s new terminal LTE products will be released around July.
