The newly launched ZTE Nubia Z9 Max scores an amazing 56,892 on AnTuTu

Yesterday, ZTE announced two new devices in its premium Nubia lineup, namely the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max phablet and the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini. The Max features top of the line specs, which includes the fast Snapdragon 810 processor. Naturally, with high end specs, we expected a big score on AnTuTu and finally, we can officially confirm that we were not disappointed at all.

According to the image given above, the ZTE Nubia Z9 Max scores an amazing 56,892 points. This makes it one of the best smartphones in the market right now. We can also see the compact, ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini besides the Max, however, its score on AnTuTu is just average. Even with the octa-core Snapdragon 615 processor, the device managed to score only 28,501 points. This is pretty disappointing given that the 64-bit MT6752 is capable of getting up to 40,000 points!

HiSense tablet leaked with a unique slim bezel design and a dual color body

HiSense is a well known consumer electronics company based out of China. The company recently has been focusing on its smartphone and tablet business. In fact, at MWC earlier this month, we got to see the HiSense H910 smartphone from the company. Now, it looks like the company has a new tablet in store for its fans.

b4a56101jw1eqk6g0ppaxj20qo0f03zu_副本

Two new images of the upcoming HiSense tablet were leaked earlier today on Weibo. While the company isn’t new to the tablet business, it still has to make a mark in this industry. The photos reveal a very interesting design. The bezels look extremely slim for a tablet, but that’s just not on the sides. The bezels on the bottom too are slimmer than most tablets that we have seen recently.

b4a56101jw1eqk6gkcmb3j20qo0f0q49(2)_副本Even the back features a very unique design. The body looks thick but its way thinner at the edges. It looks like this Hisense tablet could be made out of a metal body. You can also see at least two speakers on the device along with the Hisense logo at the center.

The leaked HiSense tablet features a dual color design, with the front painted white while the back panel comes with a gold shade. The tablet looks quite big, so, it must be around 8.9-10 inches in size.

Unfortunately, this is all we have about the new HiSense tablet, but if this is real, expect a lot more information in the coming weeks.

HTC T1H 8.9-inch tablet leaked with specs, features an AllWinner SoC

It looks like HTC is planning to increase its foothold in China this year. We have already heard rumors about HTC One E9 as well as E9 Plus debuting in China in the coming few days. Even the HTC One M9 Plus is expected to be unveiled in Beijing at an official event in April. But it seems like these three aren’t the only premium devices that we’ll see from the company soon.

htc t1h tablet

Upleaks recently revealed on Weibo that HTC is working on a new 8.9-inch tablet in partnership with China Mobile. We could see this new tablet as early as May 2015, says the leak.

The leak reveals a comprehensive list of specs. One of the interesting aspects revealed today is the processor used by this 8.9-inch tablet. Upleaks says that HTC T1H tablet will be powered not by the traditional Qualcomm or Mediatek chipsets but rather, an 2.2 GHz Allwinner H8 octa-core processor manufactured using the 28nm process. The chipset will use the PowerVR SGX544 Graphic Processing Unit.

htc t1h tablet 2

Other important tech specs include 2GB RAM, 16GB / 32GB ROM and an 8.9-inch QXGA 2048 × 1530 pixel resolution display. The front camera will be of 1.6MP while the rear shooter will be of 8MP. The tablet will run on Android 5.0 with the company’s new Sense 7 UI on top.

The tablet will measure just 7.88mm in thickness despite the large 6700 mAh battery on board. The HTC T1H tablet will feature dual boom sound speakers too.

There will be two different version of this 8.9-inch tab, namely the HTC T1H Wi-Fi and the HTC T1H LTE. It is said the device will be launched by the end of Q2 2015 around May. No information about its pricing has been leaked but expect it to be cheaper than its competitors.

Nexus 6 aka Moto X Pro likely to be priced around 4299 yuan in China

Although its been around four months since Google debuted its powerful Nexus 6 flagship, the device is finally coming to China this month. A few days back, the Nexus 6 dubbed Moto X Pro in China hit TENAA further confirming its entry into the domestic market. The specs were also leaked at the same time, but pricing was still unsure.

moto x pro

However, we may finally have an idea about Moto X Pro’s retail price, since a major Chinese media website reported earlier today that Motorola could price this flagship around 4299 Yuan. This comes to almost $692, which is an hefty price even for a device with such powerful specs. When the Nexus 6 debuted in US, it went on sale for a slightly lower $649 retail price for the unlocked version. The price is still not 100% fixed, but still it should easily go upwards of 4000 Yuan.

Motorola has big plans for China this year, as the company is all set to release most of its devices in the market. Moto G, Moto X, Moto 360 and even the Moto Hint Bluetooth Earpiece will see a launch in China this year. Motorola has also announced that its famous smartphone customizations service, the Moto Maker will also debut in China soon. This will definitely be a nice addition since it allows users to choose custom back panels and materials for their smartphone.

As for the specs of Moto X Pro, its as powerful as the Nexus 6. So, you get a 6-inch display with 2K resolution, 2.7GHZ quad-core Snapdragon 805, 32GB of expandable storage and 13MP rear camera. The phone will support all the major networks in the country, thanks to its support for GSM, CDMA, TD-SCDMA, TD-LTE, LTE FDD, and WCDMA.

The Moto X Pro is expected to go on sale by March 30, which is just three days away. It will be interesting to see how the Chinese market reacts to the Moto’s powerful handset.

Huawei P8 Lite Passes TENNA Certification in China

Huawei has been trying to keep up with the rest of the big player on the market and it seems that their new device is almost ready to hit the market. We have to mention, however, that this is not the upcoming flagship P8 model (which will have a dedicated launch event on April 15th in London, UK), but it seems to be quite an interesting offering by the Chinese giant company.

Screenshot 2015-03-26 17.26.24

The Chinese TENNA (equivalent to the FCC in the U.S.) has disclosed information about the upcoming device from Huawei, which has hit the certification tests.

The device’s model is ALE-UL00, it has a 5 inch 720p display and it is equipped with eight-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz. What is more, the device spots 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. Moreover, it has a 5mp front camera and a 13mp rear shooter. Also, it is running the latest Android 5.0 operating system and supports mobile Unicom’s 2G / 3G / 4G networks.

Screenshot 2015-03-26 17.26.36

Device’s size is 143 × 70.6 × 7.7mm and it weighs 131 grams. It is not the thinnest device on the planet, but it is still relatively thin. One interesting fact is that it is listed that the smartphone will have a removable battery, which has become a huge plus nowadays.

From the looks of the device, it seems that it borrows some design elements from Huawei’s Ascend family, so it is logical to think that the above mentioned device is P8 Lite or P8 mini and it may be announced along with the P8 on April 15th in London, UK.

Well, we have to wait and see what Huawei has to uncover on April 15th. It seems that it has become quite popular to release a flagship version and “lite” or “mini” version of the device. After seeing this certification information it may become a reality very soon.

Overall, it looks like ZTE is targeting the premium market with both these devices. The ZTE Nubia Z9 Max is priced at 2499 Yuan ($400) while the smaller ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini is priced at 1499 Yuan i.e. $240. Both the devices will go on sale by April 16th.

HTC One E9 Plus leaked, rumored to sport WQHD display and 20MP camera

HTC is on a roll the past few months. Unlike earlier years, where the company focused on a limited number of smartphones, this year, the Taiwanese smartphone manufacturer has finally decided to give a number of different options to its users.

We have already seen the HTC One M9 flagship and there’s one more phone in the One M9 lineup (the HTC One M9 Plus) that’s going to be announced soon. We also have been hearing rumors and leaks about HTC’s update for its E series lineup in 2015, the HTC One E9.

htc one e9 plus

Up till now, we only had information about the E9. But it looks like HTC will have another variant of the E9, and it will be unsurprisingly called as the HTC One E9 Plus. So, it looks like the company is hoping to improve its market share with the new Plus lineup this year.

Upleaks revealed about an hour back that HTC One E9 Plus (A55) will sport a WQHD display along with a 20MP rear camera. He also revealed that the HTC One E9 will feature a lower resolution full HD 1080p display with a slightly smaller 13MP camera sensor.

Earlier leaks of the E9 have showed a similar design as the One M9. But the rear camera sensor looked quite big on the device. So, it could be the E9 Plus that was leaked yesterday, with the 20MP camera.

However, its still early to say anything about the HTC One E9 Plus. The company has an event on April 8, which is just about two weeks away. We can expect to hear more information at the event in Beijing.

Xiaomi to unveil a fashionable product targeted at women on March 31?

Yesterday we reported that Xiaomi will celebrate its fifth anniversary on March 31 this year by releasing some exciting products. While there are a number of possible products that could be revealed on that day, Xiaomi’s co-founder Lin Bin may have given us a clue about one of the upcoming announcements.

xiaomi march 31

Xiaomi’s official account on Weibo released an interesting teaser image recently. The picture had a dress with a bow along with the words ‘NSSJ’ on top. From the color used in the image as well as the dress displayed, it looks like Xiaomi will announce something related to women on its fifth anniversary. However, we still have to find out the meaning of the word ‘NSSJ’.

While this particular image doesn’t really tell us about the upcoming product, Lin Bin’s post on Weibo yesterday shed some light on what to expect at the celebration event.

lin bin suman fashion group

In an official blog post, Lin Bin said that Xiaomi is trying to become more fashionable. Later, the president of somans Fashion Group responded to the post by saying that ‘this was the first such collaboration between the two companies’.

So, it looks like Xiaomi is partnering up with this fashion group to release a new product. However, even though we know that it will be targeted at women and will be fashionable, we still have no idea about the nature of the product. Will it be a new range itself or will it be a special edition of one of the existing products?

Thankfully, we don’t have to wait too long to find out what the company has in store for its female fans as March 31 is just five days away. And given that Xiaomi is so popular in China, we can expect some more information via Weibo in coming days.

Xiaomi CEO targets to sell 100 million smartphones in 2015

Who could have thought 5 years ago that Xiaomi would become one of the main players in the smartphone industry. Some of the analysts still call it a startup company as it is very young for electronics industry. However, the Xiaomi sits in the top 5 smartphone makers category and the company’s CEO Lei Jun does not see any slow-downs yet.

2158d53299f24780869fb794f1ae4233

As the Xiaomi’s Global Supplier Conference was held today, Lei Jun hit a stage and pointed out a few important facts to the suppliers. He made it clear that Xiaomi’s this year’s target is around 80-100 million units!

Lei Jun said: “I hope you make sure to complete the production tasks, thus making it easier for the users to buy the phone.”

d98caebb7ed14b52b5262f35d2a993fb

The current official data shows that Xiaomi’s smartphone shipments in 2014 amounted to about 65 million. According to the predicted numbers, the company may see a 23-54% growth in sales this year. Knowing how Xiaomi’s phones are popular, we can say if the company is able to produce enough devices to supply the demand, it is really possible to reach this important milestone.

What is more, Lei Jun stressed out that the company always strives for the high quality products and they put a lot of effort to ensure a quality control of its production lines. The result is a high quality device, which has an affordable price point.

Summing up what has been said by the CEO of Xiaomi, we can say that there is a chance that the supply will be bigger soon, so it would become easier to purchase Xiaomi devices.  Moreover, we can clearly see that the company keeps on growing at amazingly fast pace and has become a real threat to the main players in the market. We have to wait and see what happens when Xiaomi enters EU and US markets in the future.

Ulefone Be Pure Benchmarks Along with the Main Specs Revealed

Ulefone has made itself quite famous by producing a very similar to the OnePlus One, yet a bit different device – Be Pro. After it started getting quite positive reviews on both our website and other tech communities, the company started teasing a smaller “mini” version of it, which is called Ulefone Be Pure.

Be-Pure_Banner_01

As the 5 inches smartphones started becoming quite a rare thing these days, the Be Pure wants to provide you with a device, which is compact, yet capable. The upcoming device should look very similar to the bigger brother, but may still spot some minor differences.

Be-Pure_Banner_03

As the name suggests, the device is said to have stock Android UI, 13mp/5mp camera combo and octa core chip inside.

However, the device is still being teased by the company and it is not released yet, but it was already spotted on the Antutu database confirming main specs of the upcoming device by Ulefone.

Screenshot_2015-03-24-14-15-24

As you can see, the Ulefone Be Pure scores pretty great as it is sit just below LG G3 and above the HTC One. For the price tag it is supposed to carry, it is not bad at all.

The benchmarks reveal that the device spots a MTK6592 chip inside, which is only 32-bit. For some it may sound a like a disappointment, but we need to check the device in reality to see how it performs. Also, the device has a 720p display, has 1 GB of Ram and the graphics are handled by the Mali-450T GPU.

It seems that the device should be launched quite soon and we can’t wait to get the hands-on and tell you the first impressions of it.

The ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini and Nubia Z9 max leaked a day before launch, specs revealed!

ZTE will announce the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini, Z9 Max and the Z9 at an official event tomorrow. However, today, we already have the leaked images as well as specifications of both the models. This isn’t the first time we are hearing about the Z9 Max as the company had already shown off the device at MWC 2015. However, before today, we had only a handful of information about the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini.

2689236051

ZTE’s Nubia lineup has come a long way since its launch and the latest Z9 series features a new stylish design and top end specs to keep things interesting. We have already seen the Z9 Max in action and the design looked pretty good. Today’s leak confirms that the Z9 Mini will use the same design as the Max but in a smaller body. The ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini is a bit thicker than the Max, but just by 0.3mm. This is further justified by the battery onboard, which is the same 2900mAh capacity one found on the larger model.

FFDF535AC8E0D7C674F91920D6ABD657

Even though the phone bears the ‘Mini’ tag, it comes with capable hardware underneath. The device features the octa-core 64-bit Snapdragon 615 processor that’s currently used by most upper mid-range devices in the market. The processor is supported by 2GB RAM and 16GB ROM which is further expandable up to 128GB via MicroSD.

4F6F57D9769C7F82DB18FC1EF5C66B0E

Since, this is the Z9 Mini, you get a compact 5-inch OGS display with full HD  1920 x 1080p resolution. There’s a 16MP camera at the back and an 8MP shooter at the front. As mentioned above, there will be a 2900 mAh battery, which is pretty great for a device of its size. Given that the phone is a part of the premium Nubia lineup, it will support all three Chinese carrier 4G networks namely China Mobile, China Unicom and China Telecom. As for software, the ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini will run on Android 5.0 version with the company’s Nubia v2.8 on top.

988742FDB6180EAEF0BA9149C83C732E

We already know most of the specs of the Z9 Max. It will sport the super fast Snapdragon 810 octa-core 64-bit processor with 3GB RAM and 16GB ROM which can be expandable. You get the same 16MP + 8MP camera combination as the Mini along with the 2900 mAh battery.

While its highly likely that the specs leaked by this source are bang on target, let me remind you that its still not official. Only after tomorrow’s launch can we confirm the specs and the features of the new ZTE Nubia Z9 Mini.

Innos Yi Luo D6000 features a large 6000mAh battery and USB Type-C port

We saw some interesting gadgets at MWC 2015. Among the long list of products from well known manufacturers, there was the Innos Yi Luo D6000 smartphone that caught our attention. The device manufactured by a small local company in China boasted of being the phone with the world’s largest battery. Its 6000 mAh total battery capacity puts every other smartphone to shame.

This is not the first time we are seeing a phone with a large battery from Innos Yi Luo. Back in 2012, the company had announced the D9 with a 4160 mAh battery, which was considered very large at that time.

innos li yuo d6000

The company managed to fit in such a large battery in just a 11.6mm body. While, this can be called as thick considering today’s smartphone standards, its quite commendable for a device that packs in such a massive battery.

The phone comes with two batteries which add up to 6000mAh. There’s 2000 mAh that’s embedded into the device and another 4000 mAh battery which can be removable. What’s more the Innos Yi Luo D6000 boasts of charging both the batteries simultaneously to 100% in just 2.7 hours. That’s an impressive feat since most smartphones with 2000-3000mAh batteries take around the same time to charge.

innos li yuo d6000 USB TYpe C

This is made possible with the USB Type-C port at the bottom. Yes, you heard it right. This particular local Chinese smartphone features the much talked about USB 3.1 Type-C port that charges both the batteries at the same time. Its much faster than previous USB generations which further increases the charging speed.

The Innos Yi Luo D6000 is not just about its large battery. The company has made sure that it comes with other top end features to attract users. The phone is powered by the 64-bit Snapdragon 615 octa-core processor with 3GB RAM and 32GB ROM. You get a 5.2-inch full HD 1080p display protected by Corning’s Gorilla Glass 3. There will be a 16MP rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an 85 degrees wide angle 5MP front shooter ideal for selfies.

It features the latest Android 5.0 Lollipop OS version. What’s more, it supports at total of 20 frequency modes including TD-LTE / FDD-LTE / WCDMA / TD-SCDMA / GSM and telecom EVOD and CDMA1x. Other important features include Wolfson Audio chip, dual-active noise cancellation, gyroscope, compass and other sensors.

The Innos Li Yuo D6000 is expected to hit the Chinese markets by April this year. Pricing is not yet revealed but expect it to be less than 1999 Yuan, which will make it a great buy. Unfortunately, we don’t think the phone will make it to international markets.

HTC One M9 Plus leaked once again with 20.7MP dual camera unit and fingerprint sensor

We have been hearing about HTC One M9 Plus since the start of the year, however, the company has not confirmed the existence of the device officially. In fact, HTC has already announced its flagship smartphone for the year, the HTC One M9 with much fanfare at MWC 2015 on March 1st. Unfortunately, we didn’t see the M9 Plus at the event, which means the company will probably keep a separate event for its launch later this year.

Today, new images of the HTC One M9 Plus were leaked online, once again confirming the existence of fingerprint sensor as well as a large rear dual camera unit.

3htc one m9+ 2

On first glance, the M9 Plus and M9 looks a lot similar in design. However, there are some areas which clearly differentiates this upcoming smartphone. First of all, you have that large home button up front. The HTC One M9 had onscreen keys and hence, the area was just occupied by the speakers on the device. However, this leak shows off the home button which will most likely harbor the fingerprint sensor. The button lies slightly below the overall body, which we hope will not affect the efficiency of he fingerprint identification process.

htc one m9+

Coming to the back, you can see the same brushed metal finish as the M9. However, instead of a traditional single camera unit, the M9 Plus features a dual camera unit like its previous generations. The main camera sensor looks larger than anything we have seen before on an HTC device, and will most probably be of 20.7MP resolution. You can also clearly see the ‘China Mobile 4G’ logo at the back.

Xiaomi likely to release the Xiaomi MiPad 2 on its fifth anniversary

In our previous article, we mentioned that Xiaomi may release a number of products on March 31, when it completes five years. In the same post, we had said that Xiaomi MiPad 2 was a likely candidate.

xiaomi mipad 2 release

Now, just a few hours after the company announced its fifth anniversary celebration, the official Weibo account of Xiaomi MiPad has confirmed that there will be tablet launched at the event, most likely the Xiaomi MiPad 2.

The Weibo post said “小米5周年,有我。其他的不让说了” which means “I will be shown at the event”. In other words, a new Xiaomi tablet will be launched at the company’s fifth anniversary.

Unfortunately, the weibo page revealed nothing about the specs or the design of the device. Also, we haven’t heard much about a new tablet from the company in recent times.

But back in December 2014, we had seen a leak which claimed to be the new MiPad 2. The tablet had a different design than the current generation MiPad but retained the same 7.9-inch display. The processor, however, was of Intel make instead of NVIDIA’s Tegra lineup and was clocked at 1.8GHz. Moreover, the RAM was the same as the MiPad, i.e. 2GB and internal storage was 16GB. It was running on MIUI based on Android 4.4 KitKat.

The leaked images did not have any Xiaomi MiPad branding, so it was hard to confirm whether the device was the real deal or a knock off.

xiaomi five year anniversary

Now that Xiaomi has confirmed the launch of the Xiaomi MiPad 2, lets wait patiently till Tuesday to get official details about the new tablet.

Xiaomi competes five years on March 31, expect some exciting announcements soon!

Xiaomi will complete five years on March 31. Over this period, this Chinese company has managed to accomplish something that many couldn’t even in twice the time. The company started slowly, focusing on the best consumer experience with limited number of products but now, it looks like Xiaomi is accelerating its pace.

xiaomi five year anniversary

This year itself we saw a number of new releases, including the flagship high-end lineup, the Xiaomi Mi Note series. And to celebrate the success of the company in the past five years, we may see some exciting product launches on March 31.

In the past few weeks, there have been multiple leaks which suggested that Xiaomi was working on another Snapdragon 810 powered Mi Note device called as the Xiaomi Mi Note Plus. So, we could see this powerful device next Tuesday.

Another possible announcement could be the large screen Xiaomi TV2. The company had confirmed earlier that it will have two models to offer in its new TV lineup, but yesterday at the official launch, we saw just one. While the features and the 1999 Yuan price tag makes it a steal, we were disappointed as we didn’t see the rumored 55-inch large screen model. So, this is another product that we can expect to see at the company’s five year anniversary.

As mentioned above, Xiaomi has gradually increased its pace of new releases. So we may see more than one announcement to celebrate the milestone. Other possible announcements could be the Xiaomi Redmi Note 2 or a new MiPad tablet or even the recently leaked 2GB RAM variant of the Xiaomi Mi4.

Anyways, we are just a week away from this event, so lets keep our fingers crossed and hope we see something exciting on March 31.
