<h2><b>Honor’s first foldable smartphone is here &#8211; HONOR Magic V</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">After multiple leaks and teasers, Honor officially </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/10/honor-magic-v-launched-as-the-worlds-slimmest-foldable-smartphone/"><span style="font-weight: 400">took the wraps off </span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">the HONOR Magic V and </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2022/01/10/honor-watch-gs-3-launched-amoled-screen-stainless-steel-body-gps-more/"><span style="font-weight: 400">HONOR Watch GS 3</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> on January 10 in China. Though it is the brand’s first attempt at a foldable smartphone, the product doesn’t look like one, as it appears to have been under development while the company was still a sub-brand of Huawei.</span></p>
<figure id="attachment_436446" aria-describedby="caption-attachment-436446" style="width: 696px" class="wp-caption aligncenter"><img loading="lazy" class="wp-image-436446 size-large" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-1024x576.png?x44794" alt="" width="696" height="392" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-1024x576.png 1024w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-300x169.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-768x432.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-696x392.png 696w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-1068x601.png 1068w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured-747x420.png 747w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2022/01/honor-magic-v-featured.png 1920w" sizes="(max-width: 696px) 100vw, 696px" /><figcaption id="caption-attachment-436446" class="wp-caption-text"><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/honor-magic-v/">HONOR Magic V</a></figcaption></figure>

<h2><b>Meizu Mblu Lifeme LP21C Specifications and Features</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The lifeme LP21C wired headset comes in a single white color option. Instead of a 3.5mm connector, they use a USB Type-C. Hence, it can be used with almost any modern smartphone without a connector.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Unlike most wired earphones in the market, these feature a built-in DAC (Digital-to-Analog Converter). They come with a Conexant CX21988 chip to be exact.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The earbuds sport a semi-in-ear design and house 14.2mm drivers inside them. They also have a built-in microphone.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The earphones also include an inline remote control consisting of three buttons. Two of these are volume keys, while the remaining one is functional.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">Last but not least, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/Meizu/"><span style="font-weight: 400">Meizu</span></a> <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mblu/"><span style="font-weight: 400">mblu</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400"> advertises this product to offer a very low-latency experience. This is obvious as it uses a wire instead of Bluetooth wireless connection.</span></p>
<h2><b>Meizu Mblu Lifeme LP21C Price and Availability</b></h2>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">The lifeme LP21C wired headset from Meizu’s mblu is priced at ¥79 ($12) in China. They are already up for sale in the country.</span></p>

Since then, we have seen a couple of new products under the brand. Meizu has now unveiled the mBlu Smart Band. The product carries a 249 yuan (~$39) price tag and will go on sale in China from November 3.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-watch.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-422793" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-watch.png?x44794" alt="Meizu mBlu smart band" width="600" height="557" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-watch.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-watch-300x279.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-watch-452x420.png 452w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The mBlu Smart Band features a watch-like round screen that may make you confuse it for a smartwatch but it isn&#8217;t a watch. Instead, it is a fitness band with a watch-like design. The features onboard are not as elaborate as what you would find in a smartwatch.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-2.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-422790" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-2.png?x44794" alt="mBlu Smart Band" width="600" height="461" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-2.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-2-300x231.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-2-80x60.png 80w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-2-547x420.png 547w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Speaking of the features, the mBlu smart band packs a 1.1-inch HD TFT pure color screen with a resolution of 240&#215;240 pixels and a maximum of 275ppi for a detailed visual experience. The screen surface is covered with 2.5D glass and an anti-fingerprint coating. The round screen holds a watch face that is 43.7mm in diameter while the frame is made from Zinc alloy material with a thickness of 9.95mm. The watch strap is made from TPU material, with the whole package weighing just 53g.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-422789" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band.png?x44794" alt="mBlu Smart Band" width="600" height="504" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-300x252.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-500x420.png 500w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Thanks to the Bluetooth 5.0 on board, you can pair the smart band with a mobile phone. It supports calls, SMS, WeChat, QQ, Gmail, and other information reminders. The fitness tracker also supports sedentary, meeting, and other reminders as far as to drink water or take your medications.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-4.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-422792" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-4.png?x44794" alt="" width="600" height="600" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-4.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-4-150x150.png 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-4-300x300.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-4-420x420.png 420w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Further, Meizu&#8217;s mBlu Smart band brings along support for 11 sports modes which include walking, running, Badminton, mountaineering, cycling, football, basketball, table tennis, yoga, skipping rope, and flat support. The IP68 dust-proof and waterproof rating ensure you can use it on rainy days without any fear. It also has built-in PPG sensors that monitor heart rate changes in real-time and keep an eye on heart health. <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-422791" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-3.jpg?x44794" alt="mBlu Smart Band" width="600" height="1066" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-3.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-3-169x300.jpg 169w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-3-576x1024.jpg 576w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2021/11/mblu-band-3-236x420.jpg 236w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>In terms of battery life, the smart band has a built-in 150mAh polymer battery offering up to 10 days of stable standby, and 7 days of long-lasting battery life. The band uses a magnetic suction charging base and the battery can be fully charged in just 2 hours.</p>

<p>&nbsp;</p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">We think that Mblu will be introducing more products as Lifeme brand grows gradually. That’s because, </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/07/12/meizu-resurrects-blue-charm-line-creates-accounts-for-tablet-watch-and-more/"><span style="font-weight: 400">in July</span></a><span style="font-weight: 400">, Meizu created Mblu Weibo accounts for tablets, smartwatches, TVs, and routers. The new Mblu <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2021/05/26/dizo-is-the-first-brand-under-realmes-techlife-ecosystem/">might operate like realme TechLife</a>, which also has a sub-brand called DIZO.</span></p>
<p><span style="font-weight: 400">That said, although Mblu confirmed the products that it will be launching first, it is yet to reveal when they will be hitting the markets.</span></p>

Before launch, there were reports suggesting that the company could use mBlu branding instead of Meizu branding on this device.</p>
<p>However, when launched, the renders of the phone revealed both brandings &#8212; mBlu as well as Meizu. Now, the company has clarified that the mBlu branding will be available only on the pre-ordered phones and the rest of the devices will have <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/meizu/">Meizu</a> branding.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-167932 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-mblu-branding.jpg?x44794" alt="Meizu M6S (mBlu S6)" width="600" height="402" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-mblu-branding.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-mblu-branding-300x201.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>The phone features an 18:9 display on a full metal body, along with the same U shaped nano injection antenna design that we have seen on flagship grade smartphones.</p>
<p>The Meizu M6S (or mBlu S6) comes with a 5.7-inch 18:9 in-cell display with 1440 x 720p HD+ screen resolution. It boasts of 450 nits brightness, wide viewing angles and 1000:1 contrast ratio. Under the hood, it is powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung/">Samsung</a>’s Exynos 7872 processor built on the 14nm process with two Cortex A73 performance cores and four Cortex A53 efficient cores.</p>
<p>Because of the full-screen display, Meizu decided to ditch its mBack button. So, to offer better navigation features, the phone features a dedicated pressure sensor chip and linear vibration motor, which enables users to control the phone with simple gestures.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-167715 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-official.jpg?x44794" alt="meizu-m6s-official" width="495" height="495" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-official.jpg 495w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-official-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-official-300x300.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/meizu-m6s-official-270x270.jpg 270w" sizes="(max-width: 495px) 100vw, 495px" /></p>
<p>The device packs 3GB of RAM and offers two variants based on the internal storage &#8212; 32GB and 64GB. In fact, last year, we saw the company limit its launches significantly, sticking to mainstream lineups like the mid-range Meizu M series and high-end Pro series. Even they didn&#8217;t do so well, despite the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/meizu-note-6/">Meizu M6 Note</a> offering pretty good value for money. So, 2018 is going to be an important year for the company and the <strong>Meizu mBlu S6</strong> is going to kick start the year for them.</p>
<p>In case you remember, Meizu was split into three divisions last year, Meizu, Blue Charm, and Flyme. The mBlu S6, which we also call the Meizu M6S, will be the company&#8217;s first rebranded Blue Charm smartphone. It actually makes sense to rebrand the mid-range cost effective series, so that it&#8217;s given a separate identity, especially when the company is <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/15/meizu-focus-high-end-market-year-partnering-qualcomm-samsung/">reportedly focusing on high-end devices in 2018</a>.</p>
<p>So, being the first mBlu branded device, we are all interested to see what&#8217;s in store for us tomorrow. Luckily, there were enough leaks in the past few months to paint a complete picture of the mBlu S6 and below is a summary of these details.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>DESIGN:</strong></h3>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mBlu-s6-02-tenaa.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-165240" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mBlu-s6-02-tenaa.jpg?x44794" alt="mBlu s6 02 tenaa" width="600" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mBlu-s6-02-tenaa.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mBlu-s6-02-tenaa-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>Meizu mBlu S6<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/05/meizu-mblu-s6-m6s-passes-tenaa-features-189-display-side-mounted-fingerprint/"> has adopted a very simple design</a>, keeping the front as well as back clean. So, you have no intrusive buttons or sensors on both the sides. This also means that the company is going to ditch the popular mBack physical home button that we all love. This might not be the best decision, but let&#8217;s reserve our judgment until tomorrow. There&#8217;s the new mblu branding at the back along with U shaped antennas on the top as well as bottom.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-01-tenaa.jpg?x44794"><br />
<img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-165239" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-01-tenaa.jpg?x44794" alt="mblu s6 01 tenaa" width="600" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-01-tenaa.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-01-tenaa-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a>You have the usual power and volume keys on the two sides, but what&#8217;s really interesting is the fingerprint sensor that&#8217;s placed just below the power button. We have seen companies usually prefer rear placed sensors for 18:9 long screen phones, but Meizu has decided to go with a side mounted one. I am personally not a big fan of rear placed sensors, so this does make things interesting.</p>
<p>Apart from this, there&#8217;s nothing special to talk about the mBlu S6&#8217;s design. Oh yes, one more thing, expect on screen buttons for navigation.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>SPECS:</strong></h3>
<p>This is where things get interesting. The mBlu S6 is said to feature a lower mid-range Exynos chipset from Samsung. We are not used to seeing Exynos chips inside non-Samsung devices, but <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/03/10/meizu-pro-6-plus-4gb-64gb-exynos-8890-listed-jingdong-2999-yuan/">Meizu has always been one manufacturer having very good relationship with the South Korean giant</a>, so the use of this chipset is not surprising. However, it&#8217;s worth nothing that the Exynos 7872 has not yet been officially detailed by Samsung. But we <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/04/meizu-m6s-new-leak-reveals-key-specs-exynos-7872-chipset/">do have some rumored / leaked specs of the chipset</a>.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Samsung-Exynos-7-Octa-Featured.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-131275" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Samsung-Exynos-7-Octa-Featured.jpg?x44794" alt="Samsung Exynos 7872" width="600" height="369" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Samsung-Exynos-7-Octa-Featured.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/05/Samsung-Exynos-7-Octa-Featured-300x185.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The Exynos 7872 inside the mBlu S6 is said to be manufactured on a 14nm node featuring an hexa-core architecture. The chip is said to sport 2 x Cortex A73 @ 2GHz and 4 x Cortex A53 @1.6GHz cores inside. Graphics is taken care by Mali-G71 MP3 GPU with other notable features including Bluetooth 4.2, Cat 7 LTE, and dual SIM support. According to the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/11/meizu-m6s-seen-geekbench-sports-hexa-core-processor/">Geekbench scores of the mBlu S6</a>, the Exynos 7872 does really well in single core test but lags behind in multi-core test as compared to SD625 (which scores near 4K).</p>
<p>As for the other specs of the mBlu S6, the phone should come with 3GB + 32GB / 64GB storage options, 5.7-inch HD+ 1440 x 720p display with 2.5D curved glass on top, 3000mAh battery with 18W fast charging, Android 7 with Flyme OS, and 16MP rear / 8MP f/2.0 front cameras.</p>
<p>The company confirmed the 18:9 display on the phone earlier today and even added that there was a surprise feature on the phone. I guess, we&#8217;ll have to wait until tomorrow to know more details.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>PRICING:</strong></h3>
<p>The mBlu S6 is said to be a 1000 Yuan segment smartphone and the likely price tag could be <strong>1299 Yuan ($199)</strong>. The phone launches tomorrow in China and the first set of orders should likely ship within next week.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>
<h3><strong>CONCLUSION:</strong></h3>
<p>Everything looks pretty good for the mBlu S6, expect for the fact that with the above mentioned price tag, it competes directly with the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-5-plus/">Xiaomi Redmi 5 Plus</a>. But in terms of the specification that we have seen so far, the mBlu S6 would struggle in front of the Redmi 5 Plus. The resolution is lower on the S6 (HD+ vs FHD+) and the battery is smaller as well (3000 vs 4000). From the specs, the phone is better suited to take on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-5/">Redmi 5</a>, which retails for 799 Yuan ($125).</p>
<p>So, the pricing is going to be crucial for the mBlu S6. Or maybe there&#8217;s a feature that sets the phone apart from the Redmi devices.</p>
<p>Well, all we have to do now is wait and see if Meizu finally starts the year with a good launch.</p>
<p>&nbsp;</p>

The company is slated to launch a series of devices this year and one of them is mBlu S6, which will be launched on 17th January. The phone has been leaked a few times, revealing some of the key specifications.</p>
<p>Now, a promotional poster of the mBlu S6 has been leaked, which confirms some of the phone&#8217;s specifications and features which were leaked earlier. The latest development confirms that the phone will be powered by <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/samsung/">Samsung</a>&#8216;s Exynos chipset. Earlier, it was reported that the device will pack Exynos 7872 chipset.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="size-full wp-image-167242 aligncenter" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-poster-leak.jpg?x44794" alt="mBlu S6 Poster Leak" width="600" height="450" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-poster-leak.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-poster-leak-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-poster-leak-160x120.jpg 160w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></p>
<p>Samsung&#8217;s Exynos 7882 is 14nmm chipset that is designed for low-budget phones. It is a hexa-core SoC that comprises four cores of Cortex A53 and two cores of Cortex A73 and Mali G71-MP3 graphics. It includes a Cat. 7 LTE modem that offers a maximum download speed of up to 300 Mbps and upload speed of up to 100 Mbps.</p>
<p>The leaked poster also confirms that the phone will feature a fingerprint sensor on the side, as reported earlier. The phone is rumoured to come with a large 5.7-inch display with 1440 x 720 pixels screen resolution and 18:9 aspect ratio. It packs 3GB RAM with 32GB of internal storage and is fuelled by a 3,000mAh battery that also supports 9V/2A 18W fast charging.</p>
<p>Recently, a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/11/meizu-mblu-s6-video-leaks-showcasing-screen-buttons-possibly-new-unlock-pattern/">video of the phone</a> was leaked, which revealed that there is a mBlu logo on the back panel, confirming that this will be the first mBlu branded smartphone to be released by the company. To accommodate the full-screen display, the company has decided to let-go its popular mBack home button. Also, there is no capacitive touch button and users will have to rely on the on-screen navigation buttons.</p>

<p>Last week, the mBlu S6, which is also being referred as Meizu M6S <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2018/01/05/meizu-mblu-s6-m6s-passes-tenaa-features-189-display-side-mounted-fingerprint/">passed through TENAA</a>, a Chinese certification agency. Looking at the phone&#8217;s specs, it seems that the device will directly compete against Xiaomi&#8217;s Redmi 5 Plus.</p>

The Meizu<strong> mBlu S6</strong>, which some refer to as the Meizu M6S, is going to be the first smartphone from the company this year and from its leaked design, and rumored specs, there&#8217;s no doubt that the phone is here to take on the <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/product/xiaomi-redmi-5-plus/">Redmi 5 Plus</a>. The mblu S6 has just passed through China&#8217;s TENAA certification agency, thereby revealing its key specs and design.</p>
<p>Unfortunately, TENAA reveals that the mblu S6 will not come with the popular mBack home button that we are all used to seeing on <a href="http://gizmochina.com/tag/meizu/">Meizu</a> smartphones lately. In fact, we don&#8217;t see any kind of physical or capacitive buttons on the front, which means that the phone is going to rely on onscreen buttons for navigation.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mBlu-s6-02-tenaa.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-165240" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mBlu-s6-02-tenaa.jpg?x44794" alt="mBlu s6 02 tenaa" width="600" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mBlu-s6-02-tenaa.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mBlu-s6-02-tenaa-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The front of the phone is similar to the Redmi 5 Plus, so there&#8217;s a large 5.7-inch 18:9 display with 1440 x 720p resolution. The back features the U-shaped antenna band design that has become so popular among metal smartphones in the past one year. The real highlight of the back is the mblu logo, which confirms that the S6 will be the first mblu branded smartphone to be released by the company.</p>
<p><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-01-tenaa.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-165239" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-01-tenaa.jpg?x44794" alt="mblu s6 01 tenaa" width="600" height="400" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-01-tenaa.jpg 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2018/01/mblu-s6-01-tenaa-300x200.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>On the left you have the volume control buttons while on the right you have a power button. But just below the power button, you have a side mounted fingerprint sensor. Companies are usually hesitant to use a side fingerprint design but Meizu has decided to give it a try on this model. This keeps the back and front design neat and tidy.</p>
<p>As for the specs, the mBlu S6 comes with the hex-core Exynos 7872 (4 x A53 + 2 x A73) with Mali-G71 GPU, 3GB RAM, 32GB storage, 3000mAh battery with 9V / 2A 18W fast charging support.</p>
<p>Given the specs, the phone should compete directly with the Redmi 5 Plus, making its probable pricing in the 1000 Yuan segment.</p>

A leaked video of the phone has surfaced today to reaffirm the full screen design that was previously revealed through its leaked photos.</p>

<p style="text-align: center"><strong><span style="color: #ff0000">Read More: </span><a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/19/meizu-achieves-50-year-year-growth-2017/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Meizu Achieves More Than 50% Year-on-Year Growth in 2017</a></strong></p>
<p>The video reveals that the smartphone does not feature a front or rear-mounted fingerprint reader. This indicates that it could be embedded under the Power key that is present on the edge of the device. The body of the phone seems to be made out of metal and its corners are rounded. The rear camera setup is not visible in the video, but what can be seen is the “mblu by Meizu” branding towards the bottom of the back panel.</p>
<p>mBlu is a sub-brand of Meizu. It appears that the alleged Meizu M6S could belong to mBlu series of phones. The handset is also being referred to as <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/14/blue-charm-s-meizu-m6s-leaks-priced-%c2%a52500-378/">mBlu S by the rumor mill</a>.</p>
<p>Rumors have it that the handset will be featuring a 5.7-inch display that will be offering an aspect ratio of 18:9. It is speculated to be powered by Exynos 7872 chipset and 3 GB of RAM. It is likely to feature a 13-megapixel rear snapper and a 5-megapixel selfie shooter. It is speculated to be priced around 2,000 Yuan. However, some sources have claimed that it may cost around 2,500 Yuan.</p>
<p>The handset was <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/11/27/meizu-m6s-full-screen-phone-may-launch-december-20-leaked-images-specs-appear/">speculated to launch on Dec. 20</a>. However, a recent report has claimed that since it has encountered a camera debugging issue, it will be <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/12/13/meizu-m6s-launch-reportedly-postponed-january-due-camera-debugging-issue/">debuting in the next month</a>..</p>

Its sub-division, Blue Charm (<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/tag/mblu">mBlu</a>) is also reported to be working on a full-screen smartphone.</p>
<p>While there have been rumors of a phone called the Meizu M6S which has been reported to sport a full-screen display, a screenshot surfaced online earlier today revealing the packaging of a phone called the mBlu S with a ¥2500 (~$378) price tag.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-162150" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Blue-Charm-S.jpg?x44794" alt="Blue Charm S" width="533" height="588" /></p>
<p>According to the text in the image, the Blue Charm S will be launched next month. It appears someone got his hands on a unit and is willing to sell it at the price mentioned above, judging from the rough translation of the remaining text. However, there is also a mention of a ¥2000 (~$303) price which might be the official launch price.</p>
<p>It is not yet confirmed if the mBlu S is the same device as the Meizu M6S or a different device entirely. The latest we heard about the M6S is that launch has been shelved till next year due to a camera debugging issue. Seeing as this phone is set to launch next month too, it may be that the Meizu M6S and mBlu S are one and the same.</p>

<p>Notwithstanding, we are not expecting Meizu to launch a full-screen phone this year. In an interview a few months ago, VP of Meizu Li Nan had explicitly revealed that the Blue Charm line will release a full-screen phone next year.</p>
<p>What do you think of the mBlu S and its unconfirmed ¥2000 price tag?</p>

There is the earphones with the mblu name, then the renaming of the Charm Blue website to mBlu.com, and also the switch to a new logo.</p>
<p>However, the first official confirmation comes from a recent domain registration at the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.</p>
<p><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-161536" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Mblu-Domain-registration.png?x44794" alt="Mblu Domain registration" width="1549" height="225" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Mblu-Domain-registration.png 1549w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Mblu-Domain-registration-300x44.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Mblu-Domain-registration-768x112.png 768w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/Mblu-Domain-registration-1024x149.png 1024w" sizes="(max-width: 1549px) 100vw, 1549px" /></p>
<p>The new domain &#8211; mBlu.com was registered at the ministry on November 28 alongside two others &#8211; flymestory.com and meizu.com.hk. All three domains were registered by Zhuhai Meizu Technology Co. which is the full name of the company.</p>
<p>Earlier this year, Meizu split the company into three divisions &#8211; Meizu, Blue Charm, and Flyme. The Blue Charm division will focus on its mid-range and entry level devices in addition to mobile accessories.</p>
<p>Sources say the Meizu M6 Note is the last mid-range phone to bear the Meizu name. Subsequent models will instead be launched under the <strong>mblu</strong> name.</p>
<p>The Blue Charm brand was formed three years ago on December 18, so there is a possibility that Meizu may have an official unveiling of the “new brand” next week. At the moment, the three registered domains are not active.</p>

<p>The tradition of having a sub-division isn&#8217;t new. There are a number of Chinese manufacturers that have had one for years. The two examples that come to mind are ZTE&#8217;s Nubia and Huawei&#8217;s  Honor division.</p>

The Meizu division was directly under the control of Jeffery Wang, Meizu&#8217;s chairman and CEO and the division was responsible for the manufacture of the company&#8217;s flagship models. The Blue Charm division was headed by Meizu VP Li Nan and became the bedrock of its mid-range and budget models including accessories like headphones. The Blue Charm division was recently rumoured to be undergoing some rebranding. That seems to be the case as a new logo for the Blue charm division has been spotted on an official letter Meizu sent out to its fans.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm.png?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-160920" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm.png?x44794" alt="Meizu Charm Blue" width="600" height="422" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm.png 600w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm-300x211.png 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm-255x180.png 255w" sizes="(max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px" /></a></p>
<p>The letter meant to announce the 300 Yuan price cut on the Meizu Note 6 carried a logo which looks like two tiny pills lying unevenly side by side. From the look of things, the Meizu logo may likely be yanked off the Charm Blue models going forward as it is nowhere in sight on the letter (pictured below). However, that is yet to be officially confirmed by Meizu.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-160921" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm.jpg?x44794" alt="Meizu Charm Blue" width="690" height="518" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm.jpg 690w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm-300x225.jpg 300w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/12/meizu-blue-charm-160x120.jpg 160w" sizes="(max-width: 690px) 100vw, 690px" /></a></p>

<p>This is not the first time a logo said to be the new Charm Blue logo is appearing online. We had earlier seen two new logos which turned out to be fake. So, we cant be so sure about this one until it is officially unveiled. We must point out that the news story surrounding the rebranding of the Charm Blue division is on the increase and gathering more steam. It would be recalled that Meizu is rumoured as also planning to change the Charm Blue brand to mBlu and there have been several leaks which point in that direction.</p>

The latest piece of evidence is the picture of a Meizu earphone having the word mBlu inscribed on it. Our focus isn&#8217;t on the sleek design of the wired headphone, Meizu is known for great headsets but is no the name inscribed on the earpiece.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/meizu-mblu.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-159921" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/meizu-mblu.jpg?x44794" alt="Meizu mBlu" width="630" height="425" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/meizu-mblu.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/meizu-mblu-300x202.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /></a></p>
<p>Meizu had reorganised the company into three divisions, Meizu, Blue Charm and Flyme divisions. The Meizu division oversees the flagship smartphones while the Blue Charm division handles mid-range and budget models and the Flyme division handles the software aspect. However, not long after the reorganisation, words filtered out that Charm Blue would soon be renamed. We had also seen a Meizu bezel-less smartphone named mBlu Zero. Meizu recently renamed its Charm Blue website as mBlu.com. So, this joins the trail of evidence gravitating towards a new, renamed mBlu brand.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/meizu-mblu-3.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-159923" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/meizu-mblu-3.jpg?x44794" alt="meizu" width="630" height="241" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/meizu-mblu-3.jpg 630w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/11/meizu-mblu-3-300x115.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 630px) 100vw, 630px" /></a></p>

<p>We have also seen a new set of logos which suggest the company is experimenting with a new logo for the rebranded Blue Charm. There is no definite logo just yet. The company could unveil the rebranded name and logo this December as the Charm Blue brand clocks three years on December 18. Meizu could roll out the drums to unveil the new rebranded Charm Bue division with new products on that date. Data shows the Meizu Blue Charm brand has been a successful one with up to 45 million units of the Blue Charm smartphones shipped so far. The Blue Charm Note series has also seen up to 20 million shipments during this period. From all indications, the new mBlu brand will also include all other accessories like headphones manufactured by Meizu. However, we are yet to see an invitation to any event from Meizu.</p>

The Blue Charm division is headed by Li Nan who used to be Meizu&#8217;s VP. There are indications that the Blue Charm division has been rebranded as mBlu division. This is evident with the change of the name of the Charm Blue website to &#8220;www.mblu.com&#8221;.<a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Meizu-M6-Profile-Page.jpg?x44794"><img loading="lazy" class="aligncenter size-full wp-image-150173" src="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Meizu-M6-Profile-Page.jpg?x44794" alt="Meizu M6 Profile Page" width="496" height="496" srcset="https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Meizu-M6-Profile-Page.jpg 496w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Meizu-M6-Profile-Page-150x150.jpg 150w, https://www.gizmochina.com/wp-content/uploads/2017/09/Meizu-M6-Profile-Page-300x300.jpg 300w" sizes="(max-width: 496px) 100vw, 496px" /></a></p>
<p>Statistics have shown that Meizu has sold up to 45 million units of its Charm Blue models which the Meizu E2 and Meizu M6 belong to. The Note series spearheaded by the Meizu M6 Note has also seen shipments exceeding 20 million units and that goes to show the splitting has been a success. The Charm Blue division also includes accessories like the Meizu Flow headphone and others.</p>

<p>Signs that Meizu was going to rebrand the Charm Blue division first surfaced a few months back when <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/07/01/another-meizu-blue-charm-logo-leaks-likely-fake/">a new logo for the division was spotted onlin</a>e. We also saw a <a href="https://www.gizmochina.com/2017/09/08/meizus-bezel-less-mblue-zero-spotted-new-render/">bezel-less device leaked identified as the Meizu </a>mBlu Zero. We can&#8217;t say when Meizu will launch a new model under the Blue Charm division but we expect the new name to reflect in future releases from the division and perhaps, a lot more smartphone accessories. Meizu is yet to officially announces the new name.</p>
