Nokia 7 Likely to Launch Tomorrow as Sketched Image Appear

HMD Global will be holding a launch event in China tomorrow, but it has not revealed the name on the device that it will be unveiling. Some rumors speculate that a new Nokia 8 variant featuring 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage will be launched tomorrow and some other sources claim that a mid-range Nokia 7 may get be announced. A sketched image of the Nokia 7 with a ZEISS branded camera module has appeared which resembles with the camera module seen on one of the teasers of the upcoming phone.

The rear camera system of the Nokia 7 that can be seen in the above sketched image features a ZEISS brand name between the camera sensor and its LED flash. The design of the camera system resembles with the following teaser image. This is one of the reasons why the Nokia 7 is speculated to get unleashed tomorrow.

The sketched image shows that it sports a simple design like the Nokia 8. It appears that the handset features capacitive buttons below the screen. Rumors have it that it may feature a 5.2-inch full HD display and the Snapdragon 630 chipset may be present under its hood. As far as the design of the Nokia 7 is concerned, it may feature a metallic frame along with glass or polycarbonate chassis.

In the previous month, two new Nokia phones with model numbers TA-1041 and TA-1042 had received approval in China. Teasers of the upcoming Nokia phone have suggested that it would be coming with OZO audio and Bothie dual-sight camera features. Another teaser has “qi” mentioned which refers to number 7 in Chinese. Hence, it is speculated that the Finnish firm may announce the Nokia 7 tomorrow.

The arrival of the Nokia 2 entry-level phone also seems to be close at hand as it has already received FCC certification. However, the company may not hold an exclusive launch event to debut its entry-level phone. There is a possibility that Nokia 7 and Nokia 2 may get unveiled together tomorrow. However, there are contradictory reports that claim Nokia 9, Nokia 7 and Nokia 2 will be unveiled at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2018 next year.

Four Variants of OPPO R11s Receive 3C Certification

OPPO will be unleashing the OPPO F5 Selfie Expert smartphone on Oct. 26. However, the rumor mill is also claiming that the company will be announcing OPPO R11s at the beginning of next month. Four variants of the OPPO R11s has received 3C certification which indicates that its arrival is close at hand.

The four variants of the OPPO R11s that have been revealed through its 3C approval are OPPO R11s, OPPO R11st, OPPO R11s Plus, and OPPO R11s Plust. There is no information available on the specifications of these phones. However, the 3C certification has revealed that OPPO R11s models will be coming with 5V/4A VOOC fast charging technology.

The alleged design of the OPPO R11s was revealed earlier in this week and now fresh schematics of the smartphone have surfaced. It reveals that the OPPO R11s and R11s Plus may arrive with a full screen design. The schematics reveal that it will be an elongated phone and its screen may support an aspect ratio of 18:9. Its side bezels are slim but the upper and lower bezels are a bit thick. Rumors have it that the display will carry support for QHD+ resolution of 2,880 x 1,440 pixels.

The rear side of the smartphone features a dual camera system at its top-left corner. A fingerprint scanner can be also seen on the back panel of the phone. The antenna bands are placed on the upper and bottom sides like the original Oppo R11. Apart from the inclusion the fingerprint reader, the design of the back panel of Oppo R11s does not seem to be different from Oppo R11.

Some rumors claim that the handset may not feature a 3.5mm audio jack. The bottom side of the phone may be equipped with a USB-C port instead of the microUSB port found the original phone. Speculations have it that like the R11 and R11 Plus, the smartphone would be driven by Snapdragon 660 chipset.

The OPPO R11s is speculated to arrive with a price tag of 2,999 Yuan (~$455). The OPPO R11s Plus may arrive with a pricing of 3,499 Yuan (~$531). Rumors have it that the OPPO R11s and R11s Plus may get unveiled on Nov. 2.

New Nokia 9 Concept Video Based On Leaked Images Shows Phone’s Design

HMD Global, which now owns Nokia brand name, is reportedly working its new flagship smartphone — Nokia 9 that will probably launch in early 2018. Touted as the successor of the Nokia 8, the Nokia 9 is expected to come with premium specs and features.

As with most other smartphones, the phone’s design, as well as the specifications, have made their way to the internet ahead of the official launch. Now, we have a concept video of the smartphone which is prepared based on the render images that appeared last week.

Do remember that the design of the phone shown in the video is based on rumours and there is a possibility that the real phone could turn out to be different in terms of design.

The Nokia 9 is speculated to have an aluminium frame. It is said to come with an IP68 rating and wireless charging support. As per the leaked renders, the device is said to measure 140.9 x 72.9 x 7.5 mm, but the camera bump will increase the thickness to 8.9 mm.

The smartphone is expected to come with a 5.5-inch AMOLED Quad HD display and a curved screen. Earlier leaks related to the phone’s display revealed that the Nokia 9 is expected with a 3D glass back and the display will feature an OLED panel.

It is likely to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 835 processor, along with 4GB of RAM. There is a possibility that the phone will be offered in two options based on the internal storage — 64GB and 128GB. It will probably run on the latest Android 8 Oreo operating system.

While the details about the camera sensor are not known, it is speculated to be of 12-megapixel or 13-megapixel lens at the back. It features a dual camera setup at the back, stacked vertically, just above the fingerprint sensor.

Google Pixel 2 Features Pixel Visual Core Image Processor for Enhanced Photography Experience

Google Pixel 2 has scored the highest ever score of 98 onDxO Marks camera benchmarking site. The search engine giant is using its special HDR+ algorithm to enhance the quality of photos. Fresh information coming directly from Google reveals that there is a dedicated image processing chip inside Pixel 2 and Pixel 2 XL that can considerably improve the photography experience.

Google’s image processing unit for Pixel 2 is called Pixel Visual Core is an eight-core Image Processing Unit (IPU) that can function independently of the Snapdragon 835 that powers the Pixel 2 duo. The custom SoC from Google is not activated yet. Google is rumored to be working on building its own SoC since the past two years and the new Pixel Visual Core seems to be one such attempt from the company.

Apart from the octa-core IPU, the Pixel Visual Core also includes a single Cortex A53 processor and LPDDR4 RAM. The imaging chipset has been included to accelerate the HDR+ algorithm. It will expedite image processing by 5x while consuming only a tenth of the power of Snapdragon 835. Apart from accelerating HDR+ algorithm, the Pixel Visual Core is built to manage imaging and machine learning apps. The search engine giant is already working on next batch of applications for the Pixel Visual Core.

Even though the Pixel Visual Core can significantly enhance the photography experience, Google did not utter a word on it during the Pixel 2 launch event that was held earlier in this month. A teardown of Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL will reveal the Pixel Visual Core SoC. Both the smartphones feature f/1.8 aperture 12-megapixel rear camera that can shoot amazing portrait shots and impressive images in low-light conditions. The Pixel Visual Core SoC can help in shooting crisper portrait photos and clearer low-light images.

According to Google, the Pixel Visual Core will be activated with the arrival of Android 8.1 Oreo update for Pixel 2. It will allow third party camera apps to use the HDR+ image processing for shooting impressive photos that are as good as the stock camera app. It means the Pixel 2 duo will be able to shoot better images than other Android smartphones even if the user is not using native camera app.

Xiaomi Aims To Ship 90 Million Phones By The End Of This Year

Xiaomi is aiming to ship 90 million smartphones by the end of this year, as revealed by the company’s founder and CEO Lei Jun. This is interesting given that the company was way off its target last year.

In the second quarter of this year, the company had managed to ship 23.16 million phones. During the same quarter last year, it shipped only 13.3 million units, representing just 3.9% market share.

Xiaomi Logo

For the company to meet its target of 90 million devices this year, it will have to ship 30 million smartphones in the fourth quarter. In the month of September, Xiaomi shipped a record 10 million devices. Considering this, it is possible for the company to ship 30 million devices in three months.

Another reason that makes it possible for the company to reach its target is that the smartphones launched by Xiaomi this year, such as Mi 6, Redmi Note 4, Xiaomi Mi A1 and the Mi MIX 2 have been well received in the market.

Xiaomi’s strongest year to date, in terms of shipments, has been 2015, when it shipped 70 million devices. However, for that year, the company’s target was to ship 80 million devices.

Earlier, Lei Jin had said that Xiaomi aims to ship out 100 million smartphones in 2018. He also said that the company has been working towards that goal since quite some time.

There was a time when Xiaomi, which is currently amongst the world’s top 5 smartphone companies, once saw its smartphone shipments dip 40% year over year. To catch up with the competition, it took a series of strategic steps, which included increasing production capacity and focusing on advanced technologies.

Besides online flash sales, the company has now started focusing on establishing its presence in the offline space as well. Recently, the company launched 20 new Mi Stores in China, reaching its goal of opening over 200 Mi Stores in China this year. The tech giant has revealed that it plans to open 1,000 physical stores in different Chinese cities by the year 2020.

Not only in China, the new strategy seems to be working for Xiaomi in other regions as well. Xiaomi has now emerged as India’s second largest smartphone brand with a 15.5% of market share, second to Samsung’s 24%.

Nokia to Unveil New Phone on October 19; Could it be Nokia 7 or Nokia 8’s New Variant?

HMD Global has sent out invites for a launch event that will be held on Oct. 19 in China. Apart from a few features of the mysterious smartphone, the invitation does not reveal any information on it.

According to the invitation, the smartphone that will be unveiled on Thursday will be available for buying exclusively through Tmall. The new smartphone will support dual-sight Bothie feature. Also, the shadow of the OZO camera can be seen in accompanying images.

HMD Global had launched Nokia 8 smartphone first in China. However, the country did not receive the enhanced variants of Nokia 8 that have been made available in other markets. Hence, speculations are rife that HMD Global may introduce Nokia 8 with 6 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage that has been released in the select regions of Europe but not yet available in China.

The animated GIF present on the official TMall store teases a phone with Bothie feature on its screen. The design of the smartphone suggests that the mysterious device does not feature slim bezels like the Nokia 8. The same GIF carries “qi” which refers to number 7 in Chinese. Hence, the rumor mill may announce the Nokia 7 phone. Interestingly, two new HMD Global smartphones with model numbers TA-1041 and TA-1042 had received 3C approval in China.  Like the Nokia 8, the alleged Nokia 7 may come with features like Bothie and OZO audio.

Mijia Announces Uleemark Double-Sided Down Jacket for ¥299

Xiaomi’s Mijia platform launched the Uleemark Double-Sided Down Jacket as its latest lifestyle product. The jacket combines style with functionality and is perfect for the coming winter months.

The Uleemark Double-Sided Down Jacket like the name says can be worn in two ways – inside or out. Depending on the color, one side is a green or khaki camouflage waterproof jacket and the other side is a black windproof jacket.

The hooded jacket also has some pretty impressive features. The area around the pockets and the main zipper is lined with a reflective material. If you also raise the flap on the breast pocket, there is a hole made for the lens of an action camera like the Go Pro, eliminating the need for a helmet mount or a selfie stick.

 Uleemark Double-Sided Down Jacket

The Uleemark jacket has one last trick up its sleeves. To make it easy to pack, the jacket can be folded and tucked into itself via the zipper on the back.

Huawei Mate 10 Pro Review After 36 hours!

The reason why I didn’t make my initial hands-on video of the new Huawei Mate series phone is that I wanted to spend just a little bit more time with the device. Obviously, I prefer the Mate 10 Pro that has a larger display and more power. Learn more in our Huawei Mate 10 Pro review after using the phone for 36 hours!

VIDEO REVIEW

[embedyt] https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=VbPAzml9q7Y[/embedyt]

DESIGN and DISPLAY

If I was just a mainstream consumer, the key selling point for me would be the design of the Mate 10 Pro. It combines metal and glass and a 6” 1080p display with very thin bezels. The panel itself is just gorgeous despite the fact that it does not have 2k resolution. The phone just looks and feels premium and it sits nicely in the hand despite its huge footprint.

The new accent stripe looks really nice in practice. There is an upgraded camera setup too. A 12-megapixel RGB camera is paired with a 20-megapixel monochrome sensor here, and both lenses feature apertures of up to f/1.6.

CAMERAS

That camera takes really good pictures in daylight but keep in mind that the device runs on the pre-release software. In fact, I have an advanced release review unit meaning that both the device and software may differ when it is made available to consumers. There are manual, 2x optical zoom and portrait modes that take pretty good pictures but more on the image quality in the full review. The 4k video looks quite sharp and detailed.

Full resolution camera samples

FEATURES

The new Mate 10 phones sport the first Huawei chipset with a neural processing unit or AI component of the processor, which learns how you use the phone and helps the DEVICE adapt to assure the best user experie3nce. For example, the AI chip detects what kind of picture you take to apply the best image settings. Also, it helps apply the right amount of blurring effect in the portrait mode.

Obviously, the AI component does a lot more than helping you take better pictures. For example, it learns how you use the phone to make it faster by allocating the resources to the specific task. So far, Microsoft has updated its Translator app to make use of the AI chipset to speed up the translation process. I will cover the AI capabilities of this phone in detail in my full review.

Now a few features in a nutshell: the Mate 10 Pro is water and dust resistant thanks to IP67 certification but it lacks the headset jack, so you would need to use a supplied adapter for traditional headphones.

I found the fingerprint scanner to be blazing fast and accurate. A beefy 4000mAh battery will easily get you through the day or more. There is a fast charging tech on board that charges the battery up to 58% in 30 mins. However, the phone does not have wireless charging.

HARDWARE

As for hardware, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro is one of the most powerful phones you can get. The phone ships with an octa-core Hisilicon Kirin 970 chipset, 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage, which is not expandable.

The phone is really fast and responsive but obviously, I haven’t installed many apps like I always do and I have to spend a little more time with the device.

The Mate 10 Pro ships with Android 8 out of the box but it has the EMUI skin built on top of it. As usual to Huawei phones, there are plenty of features and customization options to make the phone look your own.

The Mate 10 Pro will cost €799, which puts the phone in the flagship price category. It will be released in Europe, the US and some other markets.

Overall, the Huawei Mate 10 Pro shapes up to be quite an impressive all-around device. It packs great hardware including a dedicated AI chip, a compelling dual-camera setup and much more that I will cover in our full review.

The Axon M is ZTE’s First Dual Screen Foldable Smartphone

ZTE, today unveiled the Axon M at an event in the US. The foldable smartphone has a familiar but redefined design and is expected to change the way we use our phones.

ZTE Axon M

Axon M Design

The Axon M reminds us of the Kyocera Echo, an android smartphone released in 2011 with foldable dual screens. You could also say it reminds you of a Nintendo DS without the buttons.

The Axon M is not as thick as any of the above mentioned devices and is certainly better looking. It has a metal frame and is thicker than your regular smartphone and heavier too at 230g. The dual screens are attached by a sort of hinge mechanism with one display attached to the body while the other can be folded to the back or extended outwards. The hinge actually works so well such that the phone will stand at virtually any angle when opened. You can also decide to lay it out flat completely.

ZTE Axon M Specs

The Axon M has two 5.2-inch displays, both covered with Gorilla Glass 5. Each has a FHD resolution with a 428ppi and an aspect ratio of 1.78:1 when laid out completely.

It is powered by the Snapdragon 821 mobile platform and packs 4GB of RAM. Built-in storage is 64GB but you can add an additional 256GB via a MicroSD card slot.

Because of the way the Axon M is designed, there is only one camera which can either be the front facing camera or the rear camera depending on how you hold it.

Launch the camera app when the phone is folded and it is in the selfie mode. Tap the icon to use it as the rear camera and you have to turn the phone to the second display which now displays the viewfinder. The camera is a 20MP F/1.8 sensor with image stabilization for pictures and videos and PDAF. There is a LED flash flanking it on the left.

The Axon M is an entertainment and productivity device and ZTE has added the features you need to enjoy media consumption. There are dual speakers and a dedicated HiFi audio chip. A 3.5mm audio jack sits at the top of the device and there is a USB-C port at the bottom for charging the 3180mAh battery. The device supports QC 3.0 for rapid refilling of the battery.

Sadly, the Axon M runs Android 7.1.2 out of the box.

Axon M

Axon M Usage

The Axon M has two screens which means it should offer more productivity compared to a single screen device. ZTE says it can be used in three different modes and you can switch between the three modes using the virtual “Axon M” button which is positioned beside the familiar Android navigation buttons.

  1. Extended Mode – denoted by a large A, this is for more screen estate when using a single app. Open YouTube and you can watch videos on one screen and scroll through the comments on the other screen. Launch Facebook or an e-mail app and the second screen becomes a keyboard.
  2. Dual Mode – labelled AB, this is similar to regular split screen multitasking, but in this case each app occupies each of the displays. You can also run two instances of the same app on each screen. An example is firing up Google Docs and opening a slide, you can view the slide on screen and keep going through other files on the second screen. You will also be able to copy and paste from one document to the other. For entertainment, you can watch the new Black Panther trailer on YouTube on one screen and tweet about it on the other screen. There is also support for gestures – a three finger swipe will swap the positions of each app and a swipe across the bottom will extend the app from half-screen to full-screen.
  3. Mirror Mode –  labelled AA, this mode duplicates what you are doing on one screen on the other. It is perfect for multiplayer games like chess or for watching a video with another person sitting across you while in tent mode.

The hinges are designed to increase the horizontal depth of the base of the laptop. This is being done because the screen is heavier than usual as it can be detached to use as a standalone tablet.

As per the company’s claim, the device can provide up to 17-hours of battery life on a single charge. Microsoft says that it offers 70 percent more battery life, and double the performance of Apple‘s laptops.

Connectivity options include Bluetooth 4.1, 2 USB-A, 1 USB-C, Surface connect, SD card slot, headphone jack with support for Dolby Atmos.

There is also a 5-megapixel front-facing camera, and an 8-megapixel rear camera. This model measures 13.5 x 9.87 x 0.9 inches and weighs 1.9 kg and 0.82 kg in tablet mode.

Coming to the 13.5-inch model, it has a screen resolution of 3,000 x 2,000 pixels and is powered by the 7th generation Intel Core i5 processor. It packs 8GB of RAM in the base model, while the high-end model comes with Core i7 processor and 16GB of RAM.

Microsoft Surface Book 2

It measures 12.3 x 9.14 x 0.9 inches and weighs at 1.6 kg. Connectivity options on the device include Bluetooth 4.1, 2 USB-A, 1 USB-C, Surface connect, SD card slot, and a 3.5mm headphone jack with support for Dolby Atmos.

Xiaomi’s Smart Yunmai Mini2 Body Scale Gets A New Wi-Fi Version

Xiaomi first announced the Yunmai Good Light Mini 2 Smart Body Scale around March this year and it was an instant hit as a result of the fitness packages it comes with. The success of the first model has now prompted the tech giant to launch yet another model with WiFi connectivity. The Yunmai Good Light Mini 2 Smart Body Scale just got smarter as the WiFi version packs the same functions with the first model but now you not only get the option of connecting the gadget to the smartphone app via Bluetooth but now also through WiFi. Xiaomi Yunmai Mini 2

The WiFi version comes at a higher 199 Yuan (~$30) price tag which is almost twice what the original version is priced at. The Yunmai Good Light Mini 2 without WiFi had a retail price of 89 Yuan ($13). The difference between the two is that with WIFi connectivity, you will not need to synchronize the app with the scale via Bluetooth but as soon as you step onto the scale, the data captured are automatically synchronised with the smartphone via internet connectivity. The number of parameters that are read by the scale has been increased from 14 data to 17 data.Yumao Good Light Mini 2

The WiFi version still retains the original design of the smart scale which comes with an ultra-white tempered glass panel which was given an anti-skid treatment. The scale is square-shaped with well-chamfered edges which are curved on all four sides. The Smart scale is also equipped with high-definition LED display, electrode sensing film with 304 stainless steel and has anti-rust properties so you wouldn’t have to be scared of stepping on the scale with wet feet. Further, the Yunmai Good light Mini 2 smart body scale uses a low-power Bluetooth 4.0 protocol which turns off automatically when not in use. This is where the WiFi version has an edge as connectivity is 24/7. The scale is powered using three AA batteries which can last up to a year without dying. With WiFi connectivity, the battery may die faster especially when the internet connectivity isn’t strong or stable. Good thing they are replaceable AA cells.Yunmai Good Light Mini 2 Smart Body ScaleXiaomi Yunmai Good Light Mini 2 Smart Body Scale

Qualcomm Successfully Demonstrates 5G Connectivity, Showcases 5G Reference Smartphone Design

The Snapdragon X50 5G modem was introduced by Qualcomm exactly a year ago. During the ongoing Qualcomm 4G/5G Summit in Hong Kong, the company has successfully demonstrated 5G connection through the single-chip X50 5G modem using 28GHz mmWave radio frequency band.

Qualcomm had set a target of hitting a 5G speeds of 5 Gbps. However, the company could achieve 5G connection of over 1 Gbps by carrier aggregation of two 100 MHz 5G bands. The Snapdragon X50 LTE modem is capable to support up to eight 100 MHz bands through carrier aggregation.

The 5G modem can offer fivefold faster connectivity compared to 4G modem. However, 5G modem consumes the same amount of power as conventional 4G modems. This is because the company has employed efficient amplifies as well as enhanced antenna design. It seems that it will take few more years for consumers to take advantage of 5G connectivity.

In order to test and optimize 5G performance in mobile form factor, the company made use of its first mmWave 5G smartphone reference design. It will be used for testing 5G modems, radio and networks with smartphone manufacturers in the coming years to launch 5G-enabled phones in the first half of 2019.

Coming to the 5G reference design device, it has a thickness of 9mm and is fitted with an edge-to-edge screen and dual rear cameras. To test Snapdragon X50 modem inside the reference device, Qualcomm has built a wave antenna that appears like a dime. The company claims it can integrate two of these antennas in smartphone. It will be working on reducing its size by 50 percent over the next year.

Qualcomm has also announced some components that will make it easier for device makers to support the new 600 MHz spectrum from T-Mobile. As of this writing, the LG V30 is the only device that can support the new spectrum from T-Mobile. By the end of 2017 and early 2018, more smartphones are expected to support it.

The U.S. based chip maker has also introduced Snapdragon 636 as an enhanced edition of Snapdragon 630 that was unveiled earlier this year. The new chipset that is built for mid-range phones features custom Kryo 260 cores and carries support for 18:9 displays. Speculations have that an upcoming Xiaomi Redmi phone could be the first Snapdragon 636 phone.

[Updated: Fake] OnePlus Sends Out Invite for 5th of November Event, Contains Clues for OnePlus 5T

UPDATE: OnePlus says the invite is not genuine, but still no explanation for the OnePlus 5 being out of stock.

The OnePlus 5 is out of stock in a lot of markets. When we first reported the occurrence, some countries still had a few color variants. At the moment India, Hong Kong, and Chinese Mainland are the only markets that still have it in stock and the reason for that isn’t far fetched. OnePlus has sent out invites for an event on the 5th of November and we think it is for the OnePlus 5T.

OnePlus 5T

First, the date is a major hint – OnePlus 5TH of November. If you also look closely at the image, you should be able to see the silhouette of a phone with a significantly thin top bezel compared to the OnePlus 5. What’s more is that there is a vertical line that runs from the top bezel to form a T.

The event is scheduled to hold at the Shenzhen Spring Sports Center and will most likely be livestreamed. Key feature rumored to be coming to the OnePlus 5T is a 6-inch 18:9 display. However, we presume that the changes will not be limited to just that.

The OnePlus 5T may eventually ditch the earphone jack in favor of an IP67 rating that makes it waterproof. It may also feature a redesigned back with the dual rear cameras sitting in a new position. Lastly, the phone may get a slightly larger battery and launch with Android Oreo. Though we won’t be surprised if it comes with Android Nougat and gets the update to Oreo later.

Samsung Gets US Patent Approval For A Wearable Having A Bendable Display Panel

Wearables are turning out to be one of Samsung’s stronghold in addition to smartphones and tablets. The company has got the Gear S2, Gear S3, Gear Fit, Gear Fit 2 and lately the Gear Sport, all coming with various distinguishing features. There are feelers that the tech giant is working on a new type of wearable design which would see the device having a flexible display. The feeler comes in form of a patent filing by Samsung which is that of a new design depicting a smart bracelet with a display panel that’s not only flexible but partially bendable.SAMSUNG

The new design concept has got the nod of the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) where it was spotted to have gotten approval. The approval is coming after over two years of reviews as the application was submitted in 2015. As for the design, the wristband looks like what has a circular design and is quite wider than Samsung’s current crop of wearables including the Gear Fit 2 Pro.  The display can curve with the wristband, and can even b straightened out, making it stick out from the rest of the device.samsung flexible

We can’t be so sure but it seems the smart wearable will run on Android OS, considering the types of icons that are sketched on the display such as YouTube, Google Photos and Chrome. These are just sketches, no further details were revealed. But Samsung did indicate in the patent that the display can be separated entirely from the band and still function which means we could be looking at a wristband and smartphone in one place. The display is also rotatable and could work in landscape and portrait mode which could be a function of the interface. The patent details include that the wristband can be made of any conventional materials like rubber, silicone, or metal, while the display panel may be attachable to the bracelet using magnets.Samsung flexible display
