Popular e-commerce platform Jingdong is currently running its 6.18 mid-year promotion and the Xiaomi flagship store is one of the shops buzzing with lots of interesting activities. The 16.8 promotion started on July 1 and will terminate on July 18 and the period is a time for fans to get their favourite device at awesome discounts. The Jingdong promo is also a time for manufacturers to boost their sales and thus increase their market shares for the year.
On the first day alone, Xiaomi continued its strong showing this year, as the company recorded huge sales on its products lines including mobile phones, Smart TVs, Mi Notebooks, and other smart home appliances. The company has now announced the hot selling products on the first day of the sales. The topmost ranking product which recorded the most sales on the first day is the Xiaomi Redmi Note 4X Jingdong Special Edition. The Redmi Note 4X Jingdong Special Edition was recently added to the family with a slightly reduced price and a lower 3GB + 16GB memory. Apart from the reduced memory version, the Redmi Note 4X Jingdong Special Edition features exactly the same design as the normal version which was released last year. The price tag may likely be the reason why it sold more.
Surprisingly, the Xiaomi Mi 6 is the second highest selling product in Xiaomi’s lineup and this can only be explained by the assumption that there was enough stock of the flagship Mi 6 for the sales. Other products like the super cheap but classy Redmi 4X and Redmi 4A also recorded successes. The Mi TV 4A 55-inch version was also on sale at a 400 Yuan discount price and its performance was impressive. The 59-inch and 65-inch models were also on sale and performed well.
As stated, the sales would run until July 18 and there are lots of Xiaomi products available such as the Mi Air Purifier, Mi Robot Vacuum cleaner, Mi Notebook Air 13.3-inch with a 200 Yuan discount, and much more.
Around two weeks ago, an unknown Nokia phone labelled as HMD Global TA-1004 had appeared with insane multi-score of 7770 on Geekbench. The listing revealed that the alleged Nokia 9 features Snapdragon 835 chipset and 4 GB of RAM. In the last week of May, the alleged Nokia 9 named as “Unknown Heart” had appeared on Geekbench with SD 835 and 8 GB of RAM. Several new listings that has appeared recently again reveal that the flagship phone is equipped with Snapdragon 835 and 4 GB of RAM
As it can be seen in the source link, the “Unknown Heart” Nokia 9 flagship has appeared on Geekbench over 35 times. Hence, the listings suggest that the Nokia 9 may arrive in two variants for different markets. The 8 GB RAM variant with dual-SIM support may be aimed towards the Asian markets like China where there is huge competition between smartphone brands on launching phones with higher specs.
The recently announced ZTE Nubia Z17 is one perfect example for it as it is the first Snapdragon 835 chipset fueled smartphone with 8 GB of RAM. It is currently announced only for Chinese markets. The Nokia 9 featuring singe-SIM and 4 GB RAM may arrive to North and South America markets.
Nokia Power User had reported in the previous month that two Nokia devices TA-1004 (spotted on Geekbench) and TA-1012 have received EA Union certification on May 11. The publication speculates that it could be single and dual SIM variants of Nokia 9. Since both the variants have been certified
In the last month, several leaked hands-on photos of the Nokia 9 flagship had appeared. One of the leaked screenshots of the alleged Nokia 9 named as Heart (Unknow) revealed it has Snapdragon 835 and 4 GB of RAM. Other specs revealed through the screenshot shows that it has 5.3-inch QHD display and 64 GB inbuilt storage. It is speculated to come with 13-meagapixel dual rear cameras. it is pegged to cost $699. It is likely that the Nokia 9 may get announced at the end of this month or in Q3 this year.
One of the salient features of Snapdragon chipsets are that it comes with rapid charging capabilities. Qualcomm had announced Quick Charge 4.0 feature when it introduced the Snapdragon 835 chipset in November last year. It has been only six months since its launch and Qualcomm has now its improved version called Quick Charge 4+.
Compared to its predecessor, the Quick Charge 4 offers 20 percent faster charging speed and is 30 percent more efficient. Even though a couple of Snapdragon 835 smartphones have released this year such as Samsung Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+, Sony Xperia XZ Premium, Xiaomi Mi 6 and HTC U11, none of them carry support for Quick Charge 4.0. The newly launched ZTE Nubia Z17 is the first smartphone to feature Quick Charge 4+.
The following image explains that Quick Charge 4+ is up to 3 degrees cooler, up to 15 percent faster and up to 30 percent more efficient than its previous version.
The Quick Charge 4+ has all the features that is available on QC 4.0. However, it is available with three additional improvements such as:
Dual Charge: This feature is already present in predecessor versions of Quick Charge. However, it has become more powerful in QC 4+ as it is equipped with a second power management IC. The Dual Charge feature divides the charge current which makes it possible for lower thermal dissipation and decreases the charging time.
Intelligent Thermal Balancing: This feature drives the current through the coolest path of dual charging pathways. This will help in preventing potential hot spot. This also enables optimized power delivery.
Advanced Safety Features: Quick Charge 4 has inbuilt safety protocols and in QC 4+, Qualcomm has added a feature that keeps a track of temperature levels of the case and connector at the same time. This will prevent problems like overheating and damage to the USB-C port.
Since Nubia Z17 has arrived with QC 4+, it is likely that we may soon see more flagship phones with new quick charging standard from Qualcomm. Chargers, USB hubs, power banks enabled with Quick Charge 4+ will be backward compatible with Quick Charge 3.0 and 2.0.
Huawei recently revealed that it would hold an event on June 12 at the Shanghai Oriental Sports centre where the Honor brand is expected to release the Honor 9. The device comes with 64GB storage on both the 4GB and 6GB RAM models as no 128GB storage version is listed. The Honor phone is expected in six different attractive colors namely Gray, Yellow, Black, Silver, Blue and Purple. There are rumors of more color options such as Gold, Green and Pink joining the party as well.
Xiaomi had unveiled the Redmi Note 4 in August 2016 and Redmi 4 in November 2016 in China. The Chinese firm is allegedly working on the successor of these phones. A couple of leaked images of a mysterious smartphone have surfaced. Speculations have it that these images could belong to the upcoming Xiaomi Redmi 5.
The first clue of Redmi 5 was seen when a Xiaomi smartphone with model number MAE136 had appeared on TENAA in February this year. The alleged Redmi handset seen in black color in the leaked images seems to be featuring a 5-inch display with capacitive buttons below the screen. It appears that there is a front-facing LED flash for the selfie camera.
According to the source, the smartphone has a plastic chassis. Also, the phone is said to be running on Yun OS and it is powered by ARM processor with a clock speed of 2 GHz.There is no confirmation on whether the mysterious smartphone is Redmi 5 or any other budget phone.
According to TENAA listing, the MAE136 that is speculated as Redmi 5 features a 5-inch screen that offers a resolution of 720 x 1280 pixels. It is powered by an unknown octa-core processor that works at 1.4 GHz. It includes 3 GB of RAM and inbuilt storage space of 32 GB. The phone supports up to 128 GB of microSD card. It is preloaded with Android 6.0.1 Marshmallow OS.
The rear-facing camera of the phone is of 13-megapixel that is coupled a LED flash. Its front-facing camera is of 5-megapixel. The rear side also features a fingerprint scanner. It is equipped with a 4,000mAh battery. It measures 139.24 x 69.94 x 8.65mm and its weight is 150 grams. It has a metallic body and its color variants are Gold, Rose Gold, Matte Black and Dark Grey.
Since the smartphone shown in the leaked images does not feature a fingerprint scanner, it seems to be a low-budget smartphone. With Yun OS onboard, it seems that it will be only available in China.

The phone has dual SIM support, an audio jack, HiFi audio, Bluetooth 4.1 and supports Mediatek’s Pump Express Plus 2.0.
A few days ago, live images of the Leagoo M5 Edge were posted online. The images gave us a look at the dual curved 5.0-inch display and a number of other features. We also found Leagoo’s claim of it having an 80% screen-to-body ratio is incorrect. While we await Leagoo’s response with respect to our findings, @JorkerLee has provided new details about the phone.
The Leagoo M5 Edge is no doubt a budget phone judging from its specs but we have been in the dark with respect to its price until now. According to @JorkerLee, the phone will be priced at $99.99.
Xiaomi has revealed that it would be releasing a new MIUI 8 version which would bring in split screen function. A video demonstration of the split screen function was earlier shared by the company, showing how it works with the Mi Max 2. The update bringing in the awesome function had earlier been revealed to become available for Xiaomi models in July.
But in a new twist, Xiaomi has revealed that fans can have a feel of the function before it rolls out finally. The MIUI 8 update bringing split screen function will start rolling out next week but in a closed beta. What this means is that it is not going to be a stable ROM but the developer ROM which wold be available to just some selected users. You too can be a part of the testers by registering your interest on the MIUI forum. The closed beta program isn’t expected to last for long before an open beta may start rolling in and that would be followed by the release of the Stable ROM. This is most likely for the China ROM so, if you must express interest from outside China, you may need to be running the China ROM of MIUI 8 on your device.
As the name implies, the split screen function will give users the option of running two separate windows side by side on the same screen. This means you can access and view two apps on the same page. This functions will likely be available for Xiaomi phone users outside China but as usual, that update will only be available later after its official roll out in China.
About a month ago, Ivvi announced a new smartphone, the Ivvi K5. Initially it was rumored to come with a Snapdragon 835 processor, but it ended up launching with a Mediatek chip. A photograph of a new phone called the Ivvi V3 has surfaced online but there is still no mention of a SD835 SoC.
The Ivvi V3 picture was shared on Weibo by @dwarfmonk and it shows the lower half of the front. Unlike the Ivvi V5 that has its fingerprint scanner on the back, the V3 has its own under the home button. There is also a mention of it having the same glasses free 3D display as the V5.
Hello Moto fans! The Moto Z2 Play is now official and it brings along all we expected and more. This is the first of the Z2 line and while there isn’t much difference in terms of aesthetics, it is still an interesting device.
Moto Z2 Play Design
It is thinner and lighter. If you have not been living under a rock, you already know that the Moto Z2 Play comes with a smaller battery thanks to its now 5.9mm thick body. It also weighs less at 145g. The other changes are the redesigned antenna line and fingerprint sensor. If you liked the Moto Z lineup from last year, then you should be fine with this.
Moto Z2 Play Specs
The Moto Z2 Play keeps the 5.5-inch FHD AMOLED display from last year. The changes start with the Snapdragon 626 processor, a new 4GB RAM variant with 64GB storage alongside a 3GB RAM + 32GB model.
The 16MP rear camera has been swapped for a 12MP dual-pixel sensor with a large f/1.7 that captures more light. There is also a laser autofocus module. The front camera is still a 5MP f/2.2 sensor but now ha dual LED flash.
Since the Moto Z2 Play comes with a smaller 3000mAh battery, its battery claims have dropped from 50 hours to 30 hours. There’s Android 7.1.1 out of the box, NFC and a couple of new voice controls that don’t require yo unlocking the device.
New Moto Mods
The Moto Z2 Play works with Moto Mods just like last year’s model but it brings along a bunch of new ones.
There is the Moto Mod GamePad that has dual joysticks, a D-pad, shoulder buttons, and the four X, Y, A, B action buttons. The gamepad also comes with its own 1035mAh battery, so its not drawing juice from the phone. The battery should last up to 8hrs on a single charge. The mod has red LED lights that responds to controls, a USB-C port for charging and a 3.5mm headset jack.
There is also the TurboPower Pack that features Motorola’s signature TurboPower™ fast charge. It has a 3490mAh battery that can be charged up to 50% in juts 20 minutes via a USB Type-C port while it charges the phone at speeds of up to 15W.
Motorola announced the JBL SoundBoost 2 Mod. It is now splash resistant, has a fabric covering and lasts up to 10 hours. There is also a new JBL app that you can use to tweak the speaker’s audio.
The Moto Style Shell also make a comeback but in a more interesting way. It now adds wireless charging support when you slap it on the Moto Z2 Play or any Moto Z phone for that matter.
The OnePlus 5 is billed for a June 15 launch according to recent leaks. Pete Lau, the company’s CEO also took to Weibo to release a few details regarding availability and the design of the phone. However, one important detail that has seen little or no attention is the price.
According to analyst Pan Jiutang, the OnePlus 5 is expected to cost more than the OnePlus 3T. You are probably not the only person that thinks the OP5 will sell for the same price as the OP3T, since OnePlus has already announced that the latter will be discontinued.
The OnePlus 3T was released with a starting price of ¥2699 but sources are saying the OnePlus 5 will be closer to ¥3000 (~$440) for the base model and over ¥3000 for the high end version. Do note that it will sell for less in China, so you might want to add about $40 to $50 to the rate in USD.
We welcome one of the most powerful flagship smartphones from China today, the Nubia Z17. The phone has been in the news for the past few weeks and now it’s finally official. The Z17 becomes one of the first smartphones in the market (after Zenfone AR) with a massive 8GB of RAM inside. This definitely makes the phone special, considering how China is obsessed with specifications.
Nubia Z17 Design
The basic design of the Nubia Z17 remains the same as its predecessor, the Z11. However, the company has made a few changes at the back, like adding a dual camera setup on the top left corner as well as adopting industry’s first single slit antenna design. The body is still metal at the back. Further, the company is using the new generation aRC 3.0 (arc Refractive Conduction) which helps to keep the thickness of the display glass to a bare minimum and makes the compact and borderless screen design possible. The front features the traditional red circular home button (capacitive). The fingerprint sensor is located at the back of the phone, above the Nubia logo.
There are five color options for the Nubia Z17 — Black Gold, Black, Gold, Blue and Red.
Nubia Z17 Specs
While there may not be significant changes in the design as compared to the first generation Nubia Z11, the Z17 makes sure the specs are upgraded to meet the demands of 2017. Under the hood, the phone comes with the latest flagship chipset from Qualcomm, the Snapdragon 835 clocked at 2.45GHz along with a massive 8GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM. There are other memory options available like 6GB + 64GB /128GB. Note that Nubia particularly highlights that the storage is the super fast UFS 2.1 standard (probably to ensure users they get the fast memory unlike the Huawei P10). With this setup, you will never have to worry about gaming on the phone. The screen is bezel-less and comes with a 5.5-inch 1080p panel protected by Corning Gorilla Glass.
Note that there’s no headphone jack on the phone nor does it support MicroSD expansion.
The phone features a 3200mAh battery inside which charges up to 50% in 25 minutes. It isn’t as large as some of the batteries inside competitors but with NeoPower 3.0 software, you should get a day out of it. The phone is splashproof as well, so you won’t have to worry taking it out in the rains.
As for the software, the phone comes with Android 7.1 with Nubia UI 5.0 on top. Connectivity features include Dolby Atmos, Hi-Fi+, NFC, Bluetooth 4.1 and dual-band Wi-Fi ac.
Nubia Z17 Camera
Nubia adopted dual cameras on its new smartphones released in 2017. So, it’s no surprise that the Nubia Z17 comes with a dual camera setup as well. It’s a powerful setup that consists of a 23MP + 12MP sensor with f/1.8 aperture and 1.4um large pixel. The setup supports 2x optical zoom and 10x dynamic zoom. The focus time is also impressive at 0.03 seconds. With large aperture and pixels, the company promises great low light images with the Z17’s dual camera setup.
The camera setup is complemented by the company’s popular NeoVision 7.0 software which uses a bunch of smart algorithms to improve dual camera performance, zoom, scene recognition as well as video recording. There’s a special Wi-Fi camera feature as well which allows you to remotely control another smartphone to capture images from its camera.
The Nubia Z17 also comes with the new Portrait Mode 2.0 which adds a bunch of AI algorithms to optimize features such as depth of field as well as portrait profile. This seems to be similar to what we see on other dual camera phones like iPhone 7 Plus and the Huawei P10.
As for the front camera, the Z17 comes with a 16MP sensor with f/2.0 aperture and 80-degree wide angle lens.
Nubia Z17 Price & Availability
There are three variants available for the Nubia Z17, and surprisingly there isn’t a 4GB RAM version.
The 6GB + 64GB Nubia Z17 version retails at 2799 Yuan ($411).
The 6GB + 128GB variant retails at 3399 Yuan ($500).
Finally, the super flagship 8GB + 128GB variant will go on sale for 3999 Yuan ($587).
Nubia will start accepting registrations for the first sale at 9PM today and the Z17 will officially go on sale on June 6 at 10AM on Nubia’s official store as well as JD.com.
Planning to get the Samsung Galaxy S8? Ye aare in luck. Samsung has released a Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean Special Edition for fans of the Disney franchise.
The Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean Special Edition is priced at ¥5988 ($880) on JD.com. Available in only the 4GB RAM + 64GB ROM variant, the phone comes with a number of cool features.
The box is designed like a small treasure chest with the Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Men Tell No Tales theme plastered over it. Inside the box lies the Galaxy S8 in the original box it usually comes with. There is also a custom Pirates of the Caribbean phone ring holder and case.
Unlike 2015’s Galaxy S6 Edge Iron Man Edition that sports the Iron Man red and gold colors, as well as a Iron Man headshot on the back, the Galaxy S8 Pirates of the Caribbean Special Edition is bland. It looks just like the regular version. However, when you turn it on, there is a custom Pirates of the Caribbean theme running on it.
The title may seem a bit confusing, but it’s exactly what it means. ASUS showed off its new ZenScreen USB display at Computex in Taipei this week and the device comes with a pen which helps keep the screen upright in landscape or portrait orientation. The ZenScreen is actually a pretty brilliant device which keeps everything simple and focuses on the basics.
USB Displays are important for people who travel a lot and are used to a multi-screen setup. But laptops offer just one screen and that’s not enough for many users out there. This is where USB Screens like the ASUS ZenScreen comes to the rescue. Given that the device is going to be used by a majority of people on the go, it makes sense to keep the size and weight as low as possible. This is where the ZenScreen shines as it measures just 8mm in thickness and 780 grams in weight, despite its good looking metal body.
The screen is of 15.6-inches with 1080p IPS panel with slim 6.5mm bezels. The typical ASUS metal finish and the slim bezels ensures that a setup of your laptop and this screen looks pretty high-tech. Note that a smart case is included with the ZenScreen which does provide different levels of orientation. But if you want to flaunt its metal body and keep things simple, just insert a pen into the slot on the bottom right corner and it should be enough to keep the screen upright. Remember, the screen doesn’t support touch or stylus input, so even though there’s a pen provided in the box, consider it as a stand.
As for the specs, the Zenscreen comes with eight video preset modes, TÜV Rheinland-certified flicker free tech, and four levels of blue light filter. There’s a USB Type-C port for input and a couple of buttons for power and menu on the chin. Its simple design is what makes it so good. You can either mirror the display or extend it.
But simple things don’t come cheap these days and the ASUS ZenScreen isn’t cheap either. It will set you back $249 a piece. However, for those people on the go who are looking for a simple screen to add to their portable setup, this price may not be too exorbitant.
Although the Honor 8 Pro is roughly two months old, Huawei is still going on with the Honor 9. The launch is scheduled for June 12 at the Shanghai Oriental Sports Center. The new flagship will retain the glass back and dual rear camera design of the Honor 8. However, the back glass is now a 3D curved glass.

Specifications that showed up on TENAA mentions a 5.15-inch 1080p display, Kirin 960 processor, and a 12MP + 20MP camera combo on the back. There will be a 4GB RAM model and a 6GB RAM version, both with 64GB of storage; and an 8MP camera up front.
The Honor 9 will feature a 3100mAh battery, dual SIM slot, have full network support, and run Android 7.0. Price is expected to start at ¥2299 ($335) for the 4GB version and ¥2599 (~$378) for the 6GB model. So far we have seen the Honor 9 appear in gold and bright yellow but there is a possibility there will be more colors.
Not much is known about the Honor Band 3 but it is rumored to be waterproof. So go on and mark your calendars.
The market of cheap action cameras is pretty crowded but we just came across an affordable camera made by TEC.BEAN. It costs just $59 but it has quite a few features like 16MP Sony CMOS sensor and 4k video recording. Learn more in our full review.
UNBOXING
As usual to most of the cheap action cameras, it comes with a ton of accessories that include all sorts of mounts, cradles and so on. A few notable accessories are a waterproof case, a spare battery, and the bike cradle.
DESIGN and FEATURES
The TEC.BEAN 900 sports a classic action camera design, it’s made of plastic, the build quality is pretty good and it is very light.
The buttons are nice and tactile and we have a few ports that include the micro USB, micro HDMI, and the microSD card slot.
As for the camera, we have a beefy 16MP SONY IMX 179 sensor with 170° wide angle lens.
A 2” display does not have the highest resolution but it gets the job done for an action camera and I had no issues seeing it indoors or outdoors.
FUNCTIONALITY
You can navigate through the menus using the buttons and the user interface is pretty straightforward.
You can adjust the resolution, play with the image settings and adjust quite a few different settings if you wish so but I guess that most of us just use the auto mode. You can also view the pictures you took or the videos you shot straight on the camera display. The camera also has a built-in Wifi and that means that you can connect it to your phone using the app. The app allows you to use the phone as a viewfinder. There is a slight delay like on most of the action cameras. You can also watch the videos you shot or adjust some settings and so on.
In order to test the quality of the 4k and 1080p video, I used the Zhiyun Rider-M gimbal for action cameras. It stabilizes the footage of action cameras very well.
This camera can shoot videos at the max. resolution of 4k at 30fps. I have to say that the video quality is pretty good for such a cheap camera. Sure, there could be more detail but you simply can’t ask more for the price. The 2.5k video at 30fps looks a bit smoother due to a higher count of frames per second but naturally, there is a bit less detail.
1080p video at 30fps looks pretty good for a cheap camera. 1080p video at 60fps is probably my favorite format for action cameras if you shoot a lot of moving objects or you move quickly yourself. The sound recording quality is terrible, like on most of the cheap action cameras. Slow-motion video at 720p is usable but there could be a lot more detail.
As for still image quality, it is really good for a cheap action camera. There is a good amount of detail, pictures look quite sharp and even color reproduction is decent.
BATTERY LIFE
The 900mAh battery performs great knowing the fact that the camera has a 2” display. I could get 1:20 h of 4k video recording and around 3 hours of total usage per charge.
CONCLUSIONS
All in all, the TEC.BEAN 900 4k Action Camera is a great choice for those who don’t want to spend hundreds for a GoPro but still want to have a small device that can shoot videos or take pictures.
For the price of $59, video and still image quality are really good. Finally, if you are looking for a cheap action camera, the TEC.BEAN 900 is a good offering for the price. More deals about TEC.BEAN, please visit here.
OPPO is known for its aggressive marketing methods and there’s no surprise that the promotions and teasers for its upcoming OPPO R11 flagship started nearly a month before its official release on June 10. The company has roped in many celebrities to promote its smartphones and even for the R11, we have seen a lot of celebs showing off the flagship on multiple occasions. But if you were hoping to get a close look at the smartphone in real life, the promo videos or teasers didn’t do much justice. But now, we have spotted a new video which shows off the OPPO R11 in good clarity, finally confirming most of the design features that we already knew about.
So, like we saw in the posters, the OPPO R11 will come with the new antenna band design on the top as well as the bottom. This should also mean that the phone features an all metal body. There’s a dual camera setup on the top as well as a LED flash. We can also see that the camera setup protrudes quite significantly from the back. That’s not surprisingly given that OPPO’s R series phones are super thin, with the current OPPO R9S model featuring a super slim 6.6mm body.
The front is simple, with slim bezels on the sides and a physical home button that should also act as a fingerprint sensor. Personally, I would have liked the top and bottom bezels to be thinner, to bring the front in tune with the 2017 flagship design.
Anyway, you can check out the entire video down below. Let us know what you think about the phone’s design.
NOTE: If you are on Chrome and are unable to see this video, you can either allow loading unsafe scripts (there’s an option just beside the bookmark star on the url bar on Chrome) or you can visit this link to the video on Weibo.
The listing of Galaxy Note FE suggests that the Galaxy Note FE will be available through South Korean’s telecom operators like SKT, KT and LG U+. It not only reveals its pricing but also its entire specifications. The phablet features a 5.7-inch quad HD dual-edge curved display that supports a resolution of 2,560 x 1,440 pixels and it is powered by Exynos 8890 chipset. The SoC is accompanied by 4 GB of RAM and it includes a native storage of 64 GB along with a microSD card slot.
It has a 12-megapixel rear camera and a front-facing selfie snapper of 5-megapixel. Other specs include USB Type-C port, iris scanner, fingerprint reader, IP68 certified body, Android 6.0 Marshmallow OS and 3,200mAH battery.
Previous rumors have revealed that the refurbished Galaxy Note 7 would be sporting identical specs as the original model. The only major changes that will be seen in the refurbished model is the presence of the latest Android Nougat OS and a smaller 3,200mAh battery instead of 3,500mAh that belonged to the original phablet. However, the listing of Galaxy Note FE on the Korean retailer site shows Marshmallow OS instead of Nougat. Since Note FE is listed with a 3,200mAh battery on the Korean retailer site, it confirms the rumored information on smaller battery.
The Galaxy Note FE leaked photos had surfaced in the previous week to show that there is distinctive letter R mentioned at the rear side of the device to make buyers know that it is a refurbished Galaxy Note 7. The South Korean company has confirmed that it will be disclosing white paper report which will contain transparent details on what went wrong with Note 7. The phablet has already received certification from various bodies like FCC, Wi-Fi Alliance and Bluetooth SIG.
We are all set to meet the ZTE Nubia Z17 flagship later tonight, at 7PM Beijing time to be precise. But before the official release of the handset, we have finally got a good look at the Z17, thanks to Nubia’s brand ambassador, Cristiano Ronaldo. We have seen him reveal the brand’s smartphones just before its release via official posters and he did the same with the Nubia Z17. In the poster released by his official Weibo account, we have a good look at the back of the smartphone.
Turns out, I was right to say that the leaked Honor 8-like renders of the Nubia Z17 were going to be the final design. The poster confirms an iPhone 7 Plus like dual camera arrangement and a mirror-like finish on the back, similar to the Honor 8. Even the blue color reminds us of the Honor phone. But the overall design looks classy and I am sure a number of Nubia fans would be happy to see the mirror finish on the back. Given the finish, metal back seems unlikely and it should be a glass body.
We seem to have got a good look of the phone’s front as well, thanks to another poster. It’s pretty simple with a decent amount of bezels on the top as well as the bottom. The phone continues the bezel-less display design on the sides as well as the red circle capacitive home button.
After looking at the back as well as front, the phone seems to be designed well. Nubia smartphones are known for its impressive design and built, and we can expect the same on the Z17. The specs are expected to be top-end with Snapdragon 835 and 6GB RAM powering it. And there are rumors about 8GB of RAM inside! So, there’s a good reason for all of us to be excited. You can read more about the phone’s design, specs and other expected details from here.
We have bonus image of a Nubia Z17 case as well, which we have added below. But since we’ve already seen the complete design, the case won’t reveal any additional details about the phone. Now, to be honest, the case first reminded me of the iPhone 7 Plus with a cut out for Apple’s logo near the center. But given that the placement of the buttons are on the right side of the phone, the case does look like it’s of the Z17.
