Huawei and its sub-brand Honor smartphones usually feature its homegrown Kirin chipsets. There are very few Huawei phones that are powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon chipsets. This year Honor has already released Snapdragon 430 powered Honor 7A smartphone and Honor 7C phone with Snapdragon 450. The Master Lu listing of the upcoming Honor 8X reveals it will be the next Snapdragon SoC powered phone from the company. It was speculated that the Honor 8X may feature the new Kirin 710 SoC by Huawei. However, the Master Lu benchmarks have revealed Honor 8X is fueled by Snapdragon 660.
TENAA has recently certified an Honor phone that has a model number of ARE-AL00. This smartphone is expected to go official as Honor 8X. The same model has surfaced on Chinese benchmarking platform named Master Lu. The Snapdragon 660 powered Honor 8X has recorded a benchmarking score of 123,919.
The Snapdragon 660 mobile platform is coupled with 4 GB of RAM. The handset is equipped with 16-megapixel + 2-megapixel dual camera setup. For shooting selfies, it is fitted with a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel. Master Lu listing of Honor 8X has no information on the size of its display, but it has confirmed that it carries support for Full HD+ resolution of 2244 x 1080 pixels. The leakster who has shared the screenshot of the Master Lu listing claims that Honor 8X will be also coming in Snapdragon 636 SoC version.
The TENAA images of the Honor 8X have confirmed that it features a round-shaped notched screen. Also, the TENAA listing of the phone has revealed with a huge screen of 7.12 inches. The fresh images of the smartphone that surfaced few hours ago have confirmed that it will be indeed coming with a massive screen.

The other features of the Honor 8X include 4,900mAh battery with 18W fast charging, Android 8.1 Oreo OS and rear-mounted fingerprint scanner. A recently released teaser of the phone suggest that it would be also packed with features like liquid cooling, CPU Turbo and GPU Turbo. As of this writing, there is no confirmation on the launch date of the smartphone.
