China-based OnePlus has already confirmed that it’ll be launching the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition smartphone, continuing its partnership with Marvel to launch special edition devices. While the phone is set to launch today, the official press renders of the OnePlus 6 Marvel Avengers Limited Edition has already surfaced online.

While the display features a notch on top, there’s an option to get rid of the notch through the software, but that means you’ll be putting a black bar on the sides of the notch, wasting the available screen space.

HMD Global will be holding a launch event on May 29 in Russia. The Finnish firm is expected to debut new phones that haven’t been announced before. Rumors are rife that the company may debut the 2018 editions of the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and Nokia 2. A leaked photo of the rear panel of the alleged Nokia 3 (2018) smartphone has surfaced online. It reveals that the smartphone will be arriving with an updated rear design compared to the original Nokia 3.
The leaked image shows that the mysterious Nokia phone features a hard plastic rear shell like the good old Lumia phones. The rear panel of the original Nokia 5 was more rounded and curved towards the edges whereas the Nokia 3 came with a rectangular back panel. Hence, it appears that the rear shell in the newly leaked image could belong to the rumored 2018 edition of the Nokia 3 smartphone.
The changes that can be seen on the back panel of the alleged Nokia 3 (2018) is the inclusion of an elongated camera module that can be found on the recent Nokia phones. Below the camera module is a round-shaped cutout that could belong to the fingerprint scanner. The original Nokia 3 did not feature a fingerprint reader. The presence of a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner on the rumored Nokia 3 (2018) suggests that it could be arriving with a tall aspect ratio supporting display.
Apart from the company’s logo, the rear panel of the alleged Nokia 3 (2018) features Android One branding towards the bottom. This suggests that this handset too may become a part of the Google’s Android One initiative.
There is no information available on the specifications of the upcoming Nokia 2 (2018), Nokia 3 (2018) and Nokia 5 (2018). The Finnish firm has recently launched the Nokia X6 smartphone with notched display design. The company is also speculated to debut the rumored Nokia X7 and Nokia X5 that are likely to arrive with the same notched design as the Nokia X6.
OnePlus had a global launch event yesterday to announce the arrival of the OnePlus 6 smartphone. Soon after the launch, Zack from YouTube channel JerryRigEverything released a video to reveal the durability of the OnePlus 6 by making it undergo scratch, burn and bend tests.
OnePlus 6 Scratch Test
The notched screen of the OnePlus 6 is shielded by Corning Gorilla Glass 5. The rear side of the phone also features Gorilla Glass 5 panel. The front and rear sides of the OP6 developed scratches on level 6 of Mohs scale of hardness. Like other phones with Gorilla Glass 5, the OnePlus ended up with deeper grooves on level 7.
The notch of the phone houses the selfie camera and speaker grille. A deliberate attempt to remove the speaker grille turned futile as it has been solidly attached to the device. The selfie camera remains safe under the Gorilla Glass 5 layer. The frame of the phone along with the buttons are made out of metal. The manufacturer has added a cushion layer of soft plastic between the glass and metal frame. Its inclusion protects the glass panels of the phone from cracking easily when it is dropped. The dual rear cameras, fingerprint scanner and the logo of the company are well-protected from scratches as they placed under the layer of Gorilla Glass 5.
OnePlus 6 Burn Test for Display
The 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED notched screen of the OnePlus 6 offers an aspect ratio of 19:9 and FHD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. When the screen was treated with flame, it took around 20 seconds for affected to turn black and it did not recover.
OnePlus 6 Bend Test
Except for the mid-range OnePlus X from 2014, all the predecessor OnePlus flagship phones came with full metallic chassis. Hence, they were quite durable. As it can be seen in the video below, when pressure was applied to the center portion of the front and rear sides of the phone, it flexed to some extent, but it did not develop any crack.
After months of leaks, the OnePlus 6 flagship phone was unveiled yesterday. OnePlus is known for launching special limited-edition versions of its smartphones. Last year, the Chinese manufacturer had launched OnePlus 5 JCC+ and OnePlus 5T Star Wars limited edition smartphones. This year, the company will be launching OnePlus 6 Avengers Limited Edition phone. The leaked renders of the special edition OP6 have already appeared in the recent past. Today, reliable Indian tipster Ishan Agarwal has shared an official render of the OnePlus 6 Avengers: Infinity War Limited Edition.
The OnePlus 6 Avengers: Infinity War Limited Edition is slated to get official today in India. The leaked official render of the phone reveals that its front design is not different from the OnePlus 6. Hence, it features a 6.28-inch Optic AMOLED display with a notch at the top. In the render, the handset can be seen spotting a customized wallpaper of Avengers.
By flipping the phone to its back, one can see its carbon fiber-like appearance instead of the glossy finish seen on the regular OP6. Below the vertical dual camera setup and fingerprint scanner is a prominent golden colored logo of the company. Further down is the Avengers logo in gold color. The repositioned Alert Slider that now sits on the right of the device is also in gold.
As far as specs are concerned, the OnePlus 6 Avengers: Infinity War Limited Edition will be powered by Snapdragon 845 and 8 GB of RAM. It will be featuring an internal storage of 256 GB. For photography, it features 16-megapixel + 20-megapixel dual camera setup and a front-facing camera of 16-megapixel.
As of this writing, there is no information available on the pricing of the OnePlus 6 Avengers: Infinity War Limited Edition smartphone. A leaked image that had surfaced at the beginning of this month that it will be available in a special retail box that features a large-sized Avengers logo at the top. It is speculated that OnePlus may also provide a customized Avengers case along with the special edition phone.
Recently, a smartphone labelled as Xiaomi Strakz was spotted on Geekbench benchmarking platform with Snapdragon 625 and 4 GB of RAM. Today, another phone from the Chinese manufacturer named Xiaomi E6 has appeared on the benchmarking site.
The Xiaomi E6 Geekbench listing reveals that it is fueled by an octa-core processor that clocks at 2.0 GHz. However, the exact model number of processor is not mentioned on Geekbench. It is speculated that the Xiaomi E6 could be powered by the Snapdragon 625 chipset. The SoC of the Xiaomi E6 is accompanied by 3 GB of RAM and the handset is preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo.
In single-core test, the Xiaomi E6 has salvaged 841 points whereas it has scored 4259 points in multi-core test. Since these scores are similar to the Geekbench scores of the Xiaomi Mi 5X, it seems that the smartphone could be powered by the good old Snapdragon 625. Xiaomi E6 could be yet another Redmi series phone from the company or it could be an international version of the recently unveiled Redmi S2.
Apart from Xiaomi E6 and Strakz, other phones such as Xiaomi Cactus and Xiaomi Cereus have also appeared on Geekbench. It is speculated that Cactus and Cereus models could be the two variants of the rumored Xiaomi Redmi 5X smartphone
At present, Xiaomi seems to be focused on the upcoming 2018 Annual Product Launch event that will be held at Shenzhen. Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has confirmed that a variety of new devices will be announced at the upcoming event. The company is yet to reveal the date of the event. It is speculated that Xiaomi may announce products like Xiaomi Mi 7, Xiaomi Mi 8th Anniversary Edition smartphone and Mi Band 3 fitness tracker.
Nokia finally took the wraps off the Nokia X6 smartphone in a ceremony held in Beijing China. The X6 is coming as Nokia’s first smartphone with a notch on its display and we must admit the device lived up to expectation, that is if you have no problem with smartphones having a display notch.
Indeed, the Nokia X6 comes with a cut-out on its display which is a compromise on the symmetry so as to create a near bezel-less display design. That is obvious at the top edge and the sides but the chin still has a noticeable bezel. The front design really isn’t very much different from other notch-packing smartphones around except that the cut-out is just moderate in size, a little bigger than the Essential Phone’s and smaller than iPhone X’s. The display size is 5.88 inches with the 19:9 aspect ratio and an FHD+ resolution of 2280 × 1080 pixels. The display gets further protection from a Corning Gorilla Glass 3 panel.
The back of the Nokia X6 is just as premium as the front aspect. While the mid-frame is made of aluminium alloy, the rear panel is wrapped with Corning Gorilla Glass just like the display, giving the device a glass body. The premium look will be available in Black, White and Dark Blue colours. The volume rockers and power buttons lie at the right side of the display while the SIM tray is at the left side.
The device further packs a dual camera setup at the rear which is aligned in a vertical plane at the middle. The rear camera is a 16MP+5MP combo with a 16MP sensor at the front for selfies. There is also a rear-mounted fingerprint sensor just under the cameras but there is equally Face Unlock feature onboard. Other top-notch features include 4G VoLTE, WiFi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5, GPS + GLONASS, and USB Type-C. The device gets its juice from a 3,060mAh which from experience, isn’t the best they could have done but there is QC 3.0 fast charging technology onboard.
The Nokia X6 impresses with its prices, coming in at 1,299 Yuan (~$204) for the 4GB+32GB variant while the 4GB RAM + 64GB storage model costs 1,499 Yuan (~$236). The top-end model with 6GB RAM and 64GB onboard storage will be available for 1,699 Yuan (~$266). More pictures of the Nokia X6 can be found after the source link.
Sony Xperia XZ1 Compact was launched alongside the Xperia XZ1 at IFA Berlin 2017. That means the device is just 9 months in the market, not even up to one year but its price has seen a sharp drop and is presently sold for $369 on Amazon and Best Buy. The present price is a massive $130 off the original price of the compact flagship that is if we assume it retails for $500. Both retailers list the original price as $600 which means it gets $230 off its price!
The Xperia XZ1 Compact comes with a smaller 4.6-inch display with HD resolution of 1280 x 720 pixels. The device prides itself in having a flagship-level hardware crammed inside the compact chassis. Thus, the device is targeted at consumers who aren’t particularly attracted by phablet-sized models with big displays. So, if you are particularly interested in smaller, powerful smartphones, then you should check out the Xperia XZ1 Compact’s discount offer while it lasts. There is no indication if it is a time-limited offer, though.
Other specifications of the Xperia XZ1 Compact include a Snapdragon 835 processor, 4GB RAM, 32GB of expandable storage, Android Oreo OS. The Xperia XZ1 Compact comes in Black, Pink and Silver colours but this price regime only covers the Black colour variant. Interested buyers who want the Pink or Silver variant will have to shell out $400.
Samsung will likely launch a new Galaxy Tab soon and it will be the most powerful one from the Korean manufacturer. The Samsung SM-T835 a.k.a. Galaxy Tab S4 was benchmarked today and the result confirms a key component.
A device with the same model number was benchmarked on AnTuTu about three months ago. The benchmark result revealed the device has an Adreno 540 GPU and a CPU clocked at 2.3GHz. There is only one mobile SoC that has the above features and that is the Qualcomm Snapdragon 835.
The device has now appeared on Geekbench, and the site confirms the Tab S4 is indeed powered by an MSM8998 processor which is also known as the Snapdragon 835. Geekbench also reveals the tablet will have 4GB of RAM.
The Galaxy Tab S3 which launched last April has a Snapdragon 820 processor and also 4GB of RAM. Its successor will not only have a more-powerful chipset but also a larger 10.5-inch display as against the Tab S3’s 9.7-inch screen.
AnTuTu also revealed that the front camera has been upgraded to 8MP but the rear camera is now a 12MP sensor. It may actually launch as 13MP. The Galaxy Tab S4 will have LTE support and 64GB of storage. Although it still won’t have NFC.
A render of the Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) leaked online last month. It appears its launch is drawing closer as the phone has visited China’s TENAA.
The phone has two variants with model number DRA-AL00 and DRA-TL00 respectively. Both have the same specs and are probably just network variants.
The Huawei Y5 Prime (2018) has a 5.45-inch 1440 x 720 display and is powered by a 1.5GHz quad-core processor. There is 2GB of RAM and 32GB of storage which can be expanded up to 256GB via a MicroSD card slot.
[envira-gallery id=”191190″]
There is a 13MP sensor on the rear and a 5MP front-facing camera. It runs Android 8.1 Oreo and has a 2,920mAh battery. TENAA says it will come in black, blue, and gold.
During the Mi Mix 2s launch back in March, Xiaomi equally unveiled a new backpack designed mostly for electronics and gaming enthusiasts but that can be used by almost everyone. The backpack went on sale last month for a price tag of 399 Yuan (~$64). Here are some hands-on pictures of the Mi Geek Shoulder bag.
The Mi Geek Shoulder bag is manufactured by 90Fun, known for its wide range of nice and awesomely designed suitcases and backpacks. The design looks futuristic in its geometric mosaic design. The outer fabric is dense with a matte finish. The bag is also splash proof.
The shoulder bag has several compartments with the main one capable of housing a 15.6 inches laptop. It also features dedicated compartments for headphones, sunglasses, mouse, flash drives, and memory cards. The compartments are well-padded in order to provide protection for the gadgets carried inside. The shoulder straps have an S-shaped design making it fit the shoulders perfectly when carried. The ergonomic design enhances the bearer experience under load conditions. The strap ladders are adjustable while the chest straps are removable so as to reduce stress on the shoulders.
The Mi Geek Shoulder Bag comes with a price tag of and is presently available in China on the Xiaomi Mi Store. We don’t know when the backpack will officially be introduced in other regions where Xiaomi has a presence but it shouldn’t be a surprise if you find the backpack in your local Mi Stores where available. Alternatively, online retailers like GearBest have got the product but at a higher price. Check out some more pictures of the Mi Geek Shoulder Bag from down below.
This is the Blackview P10000 Pro – a phone with a ridiculously huge 11000mAh battery and pretty good specs. The official claims are that this phone can achieve a whopping 50 days of standby time, which is just insane. At the moment, the phone costs about $200. Stay tuned for a full Blackview P10000 Pro review to learn all the pros and cons of this device.
The phone ships with all the usual stuff and many extra cables, adapters, a screen protector and last but not least, a soft TPU case to protect the phone.
DESIGN, DISPLAY, BATTERY LIFE
First of all, let’s talk about the design. The phone is huge, thick and heavy and it seems it could crush any other phone on the market. That means it’s not always comfortable to hold the phone or put it in your pocket. This is the tradeoff you need to accept if you want to have a huge battery that literally lasts forever. The device uses a metal frame on the sides, rubberized plastic on the top and bottom and glass on the back.
I didn’t test the exact standby time as I would need almost 2 months to do that. What I did test was the real-life usage of the phone. I could use the P10000 Pro for almost a week or even more. My record screen-on time was over 30 hours and my usage included gaming, taking a lot of pictures and so on. If you use the phone just for the basic stuff, you can expect to achieve even 40 hours of SOT. This phone is just a battery beast.
In case you need to recharge the phone, you can do that in just about 5 hours with the supplied charger.
I found the display to be very good both indoors and outdoors. The phone has an LED notification light, LED flash for selfies and a dual camera setup on the front.
On the back, there is another dual-camera system that I will talk about in detail a bit later in this review.
The phone does not have the headset jack but you get an adapter in the retail box and the sound quality using it is pretty good. The fingerprint scanner is implemented on the side. Even though it is not my favorite position, the reader works fine and it is fairly accurate. The face unlock feature is here and it works well in good lighting but it’s not reliable in the lower-lit environment, that’s why I prefer using the fingerprint reader.
Finally, the loudspeaker get can really loud and the overall quality is quite good for a budget phone.
HARDWARE and PERFORMANCE
In terms of hardware, the phone ships with pretty good specs for the price. The P10000 has a Helio P23 chip, 4GB RAM and 64GB ROM + SD card slot.
The gaming performance is quite good too. You should expect some skipped frames here and there in some games but in general, I don’t have major complaints since this is the budget phone after all.
USER INTERFACE
The device runs on Android 7.1 out of the box and we have a typical Blackview’s interface. That means that the UI is a mixture of stock Android and some added features and customization options. You can customize the navigation bar, LED notification light, quickly open up the camera or use other gesture controls. In general, I found the performance to be pretty good, I have no complaints.
IMAGE QUALITY
The overall image quality is just average. You can take some decent daylight images but that’s about it. Also, pictures taken with the bokeh effect look kind of artificial. Night image quality is quite bad, like on most of the budget phones.
On the other hand, selfies look nice and sharp but if you want to use bokeh mode, expect to see artificial-looking pictures.
In terms of connectivity, the phone performs great. Call quality and signal reception are great and even GPS is very accurate. In addition, there are quite a few sensors on board, including gyroscope.
CONCLUSIONS
The Blackview P10000 Pro is a battery monster that comes with both pros and cons.
As expected, camera performance could be better but other than that, the P10000 Pro shapes up to a pretty good offering for the price of about $200 considering the fact that you get an insanely good battery, pretty good display, and decent overall performance.
Obviously, this phone is definitely not for everyone due to its sheer size and weight but if you need a budget phone with an insane battery life, we think that the P10000 Pro is a decent budget option worth checking out.
OnePlus 6 is the leading star of today’s event, but it wasn’t the only device launched by the former Chinese startup owned by BBK Electronics. Alongside the new amazing flagship, the company has just announced a new pair of Bullets headphones. It is the first pair of wireless headphones by OnePlus and it obviously works through the Bluetooth connectivity. The new headphones come with an around-neck design (a perfect solution for fitness and sport) and weather resistance, as well as some innovative features.
If you pair the new OnePlus Bullets Wireless headphones with OnePlus 5, 5T or 6, you will be able to pause the music playback just by sticking them together through their integrated magnets. It is also possible to call Google Assistant with a long-press on the Play button which you can find in the control setup on the wire. Thanks to this feature, you will be able to interact with your phone through voice commands (such as making calls) without taking it out from your pocket.
The company has also equipped the OnePlus Bullet Wireless headphones with fast charging technology. According to OnePlus, these headphones can provide five hours of continuous audio playback with just 10 minutes of charging, which is quite is impressive! The fast charging technology works with every kind of USB Type-C cable and you won’t need a specific charger for this. OP has confirmed that it will add a new feature which will allow answering calls by unclipping the earbuds in the future. The launch price of the new headphones is $70 and they will be available starting from early June on the official store.
Note that those who were present at the event in London get a free pair of OnePlus Bullet Wireless headphones with the purchase of a OP6.
Ever since the first OnePlus One made it to the market, the company has made its name for releasing flagship killers.
But is the OnePlus 6 worthy of this tagline? Let’s find out!
It’s become a tradition for OnePlus flagships to be revealed in detail much before its official launch. The same was applicable for the OnePlus 6 and everything we knew about the phone before launch has come out to be true. So, there are no surprises in this article.
OnePlus 6 Design
The OnePlus 6 has joined the numerous flagships of 2018 that feature a glass body. Some might argue that metal is better than glass, but OnePlus defends this move by saying that the glass body is more malleable than a metal one and its lighter too. Plus, with Gorilla Glass 5 protection at the back (as well as front), the phone is set to take a few hits without breaking down. In fact, OnePlus claims that the OnePlus 6 is as durable as its predecessors with a metal body. Personally, I can vouch for OnePlus’ sturdy built quality as my old OnePlus 3T has slipped off my hands numerous times. The phone does features a few dents here and there, but apart from that, the device still performs flawlessly. So it’s good to hear that the GG5 back is as good as the previous OnePlus flagships.
The back features a vertically arranged dual camera setup, with a dual LED flash, pill shaped fingerprint sensor, and the OnePlus logo just below it. The company has ensured that the design is symmetrical and looks good. There’s a metal frame that goes around the glass body. The alert slider is now located on the right, above the power button. The volume buttons stay on the left like the previous OnePlus phones. The bottom features the USB Type-C port, speakers, and a headphone jack.
The OnePlus 6 is water resistant too, but the company hasn’t revealed an official IP certification. There are three color options, Mirror Black (high gloss), Midnight Black (Matte finish), and Silk White. The White color model is unfortunately a limited edition variant and will be available for sale later in June.
OnePlus 6 Hardware
You get the best hardware of 2018 inside the OnePlus 6. So love it or hate it, but the notch is here to stay. The phone features a 6.28-inch 2280 x 1080 tall 19:9 AMOLED display, with a notch on top. Of course, there’s an option to get rid of the notch inside the software, but that simply means you’ll be putting a black bar on the sides of the notch, technically wasting the available screen space.
Snapdragon 845 is inside with 6GB / 8GB RAM and 64GB/ 128GB/ 256GB ROM options. There’s dual SIM card slots and support for 40 bands across Europe and Americas. The battery size is nothing extraordinary, but with the 10nm SD845 and software optimisations, the 3300mAh battery should last an entire day.
As for the camera department, the OnePlus 6 comes with a 16MP primary sensor with f/1.7 aperture, 1.22um pixels and OIS. The larger pixel size of the main camera is said to improve the low light performance. There’s a 20MP secondary camera for depth information. The phone supports 4K videos at 60 fps which puts it in the same ranks as Galaxy S9 and iPX. Slo-mo videos can be shot at 480 fps @ 720p for up to a minute. You get a new video editor too with features such as adding filters, and music.
Unfortunately, there was no mention of wireless charging on the device.
OnePlus 6 Software
You get a familiar Oxygen OS on the OnePlus 6 with Android 8.1. Of course, you can test out the latest Android P beta on the phone too. What’s new in the OS is the gesture support. For example, swiping left or right takes you a step back or forward. Similarly swiping up from the home screen goes back home. This gives you the opportunity to free up the space taken by on screen buttons. There are the other standard features such as reading mode, gaming mode etc.
OnePlus 6 Pricing
In this age of premium smartphones costing nearly thousands of dollars, OnePlus is still fairly affordable. As expected, the company did increase the pricing of its new flagship, but as Carl Pei mentioned in the launch event, the company has always focused on fair pricing. And with the OnePlus 6, the pricing is quite fair indeed.
The OnePlus 6 starts at $529, which is a $30 increase as compared to the starting price of the OnePlus 5T.
Here are the official OnePlus 6 prices of all the variants:
6GB+64GB Mirror Black – $529
8GB+128GB Mirror Black – $579
8GB+128GB Midnight Black – $579
8GB+256GB Midnight Black – $629
8GB+128GB Silk White – $579
So the pricing starts from $529 and goes up to $629. That’s pretty aggressive for a 2018 flagship smartphone!
The only issue here is that the Silk White variant is a limited edition, so we don’t know how many units will be up for grabs. Also, the 256GB version is only available in the Midnight Black edition.
We are just a three hours away from the official launch of the OnePlus 6, but looks like the leaks will continue to come in. This time, we have got some pretty high quality hands on images of the handset, well before its showcased officially. The pictures practically confirm at least three color options for the device: White, Mirror Black, and another Black version (Matte?).

The OnePlus 6 hands on images that were leaked today practically confirm the entire design of the handset. So you get a notch up front along with a thin chin at the bottom. The back features the dual camera setup in a vertical arrangement, flash, and a fingerprint sensor below it. Below the setup lies the OnePlus logo. The alert slider is shifted to the right above the power button while the volume buttons stay on the left as its predecessor.
The White OnePlus 6 clearly stands out from the crowd. We are big fans of white smartphones if they are made well, and the company isn’t new to making high quality, good looking white models. The OnePlus 6 was also released in Sandstone White and it was definitely a beautiful phone. We are not quite sure whether this is the Sandstone White OnePlus 6 version, but it surely doesn’t look too glossy. There are two more color options available, the high gloss Mirror Black OnePlus 6 and the Matte like Black OnePlus 6.
Yesterday, Xiaomi had confirmed through its official Weibo account that it will be soon holding a launch event in Shenzhen. Early rumors had claimed that Xiaomi would be launching the Xiaomi Mi 7 phone by the first half of 2018. Hence, the Shenzhen event could be used to announce the arrival of the Mi 7 flagship. However, well-known industry expert Kevin Wang claimed on Weibo that Xiaomi will be using the same platform to announce many new products. Interestingly, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun has quoted the same Weibo post by Wang to confirm that his company will indeed launch “a variety of new products” through the Shenzhen event.
The press conference that will be held at Shenzhen by the company is dubbed as Xiaomi’s 2018 Annual Product Launch. This seems to be the most important launch event for Xiaomi this year. Hence, apart from Xiaomi Mi 7 that is likely to arrive with under-display fingerprint scanner, the Chinese firm is also rumored to debut the 8th Anniversary Edition phone. The latter is also being referred to as Xiaomi Mi 8.
Xiaomi Mi 8th Anniversary Edition smartphone has been reportedly spotted on the Chinese edition of Mi Store app. The handset is expected to arrive as the world’s first Android phone with 3D facial recognition feature.
The Mi Band 3 fitness tracker is also rumored to get official at the Shenzhen event. The Mi Band 2 was launched in June last year. Hence, the company could be aiming to launch its successor phone exactly after one year. The Mi Band 3 is rumored to feature an OLED display that will be enabled with gestures support. Other rumored features of the Mi Band 3 include IP67 rated body, NFC support and Bluetooth 4.2.
Xiaomi is yet to confirm on the date of the upcoming Shenzhen event.
Xiaomi is speculated to debut Xiaomi Mi 8 as the company’s 8th anniversary smartphone alongside the Mi 7 through a launch event in Shenzhen. There is no information on when it will be holding the unveil event. Hence, these phones are rumored to go official either by the end of this month or in June. Recent reports have revealed that the Chinese manufacturer will be launching a special edition phone to celebrate the 8th anniversary of the company. Rumors are rife that it will be arriving with an iPhone X-like advanced 3D facial recognition feature. Today, a Chinese leakster with Kumamoto Technology Weibo account has shared an image showing the Xiaomi Mi 8th Anniversary Edition smartphone sitting alongside other Mi series phone on the Mi Store app has appeared online. This seems to be yet another proof that the company may debut the 8th anniversary special edition phone soon.
As it can be seen in the above image, the handset is found listed with Xiaomi Mi 8th Anniversary Edition on China’s Mi Store app. Some rumors have claimed that this handset could be called Xiaomi Mi 8. The company is also speculated to launch the Xiaomi Mi 7 phone, but the handset is not listed on the app. The leakster claims that the company will not be launching the Mi 7 phone. As of this writing, there is no information available on the specs of the 8th anniversary Xiaomi phone.
Rumors have it that it will be having a notched display. The notch of the Xiaomi Mi 8 is speculated to wider than the notched Android smartphones that have launched so far. The probable reason behind it is that it is rumored to include structured light 3D module for scanning the face of the user in 3D. The above image is speculated to be 3D face recognition module of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi 8.
There is no confirmation on the authenticity of the above image. It’s not very difficult to modify a screenshot of the Mi Store app to add a listing for the rumored Mi 8 Anniversary Edition smartphone. Hence, we advise our readers to digest this report with a grain of salt.
