Recently, we reported that Xiaomi could soon launch its next-generation tablet — Mi Pad 4 as the company hinted on its Weibo account about good news coming. Now, the company has announced that the Mi Pad 4 will be officially launched in China on 25th June.
Based on the previous reports, the fourth-generation Xiaomi Mi Pad tablet is expected to retain the 7.9-inch LCD display and will offer Full-HD screen resolution with pixel density of 320 PPI. Further, a leaked firmware file suggests 18:9 aspect ratio but it is not yet confirmed.
The upcoming tablet is said to have such a form-factor that it will offer one-hand usage. Earlier, it was reported that the Mi Pad 4 will be powered by Qualcomm‘s Snapdragon 660 processor, clocked at either 2.0GHz or 2.2GHz. However, the memory configurations details such as RAM and ROM for the Mi Pad 4 are not yet known.
While reports indicate that the upcoming Mi Pad tablet will come with support for the microSD card to expand the storage capacity, it is doubtful given that the Mi Pad 3 doesn’t have a microSD card slot.
On the optics front, the device is expected to come with a 13-megapixel OmniVision OV13855 camera sensor at the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing snapper with Samsung S5K5E8 sensor for video calling. The Mi Pad 4 is expected to be running on company’s own MIUI based on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system.
The device is expected to come powered by a 6,000mAh battery. A 3C certification revealed that the device has a charger specification of 5V/2A and a charging power of 10W.
To know for sure what the Mi Pad 4 has to offer and when it will be available for purchase and at what price, we’ll have to wait for the company to officially launch it on June 25. On the same date, Xiaomi is also set to launch Mi 6 Pro with a notched display.

Xiaomi has just confirmed through the official Mi Pad Weibo account that it will be launching the Mi Pad 4 tablet on June 25. The Chinese manufacturer has also revealed through its Redmi Mobile Weibo account that the Redmi 6 Pro will be also unveiled on the same date. The official teaser of the smartphone shows that it will be supporting an aspect ratio of 19:9.
The above image not only confirms the tall aspect ratio of the Redmi 6 Pro, but also it reveals some more features through the letters and numbers mentioned on the jerseys. It confirms that the other highlights of the Redmi 6 Pro will be AI, Snapdragon 625 and 4,000mAh battery.
The Redmi 6 Pro had appeared with full specifications and images on TENAA in the previous month. The recently unveiled Redmi 6 and Redmi 6A smartphones sport 18:9 aspect ratio display and are packed with modest specs. However, the Redmi 6 Pro looks different as it features a notched display. Moreover, the handset will be arriving with better specs than the Redmi 6 and 6A smartphone.
The TENAA listing of the Redmi 6 Pro has revealed that it will be arriving with a metallic body that features a vertical dual camera setup and a fingerprint scanner on the rear. It houses a 5.84-inch display that supports Full HD+ resolution of 2280 x 1080 pixels. It is expected to be available in models like 16 GB storage + 2 GB RAM, 32 GB storage + 3 GB RAM and 64 GB storage + 4 GB RAM. For additional storage, it will be featuring a microSD card slot.
It will be preinstalled with Android 8.1 Oreo and may be blessed with the latest MIUI 10 skin. The dual camera setup has a primary sensor of 12-megapixel. For shooting selfies, it is equipped with a 5-megapixel snapper that will be present in the notch of the phone.
Well, the Xiaomi Redmi 6 Pro will be yet another phone from the company to feature the Snapdragon 625 SoC. As of this writing, the rumor mill is silent on its pricing.

Oppo has started sending out media invites for an event in India on July 12. While the invite doesn’t say which smartphone the company intends to launch, the invite reads “find what you have have been looking for until now,” hinting that the phone in question could be the Oppo Find X.
The global launch of the Oppo Find X took place in Paris, France yesterday, i.e. 19th June. The OPPO Find X comes in Bordeaux Red and Glacier Blue colors, which offer gradient effect. It is priced at 999 Euros (approximately $1,155) and will be available for purchase starting from August.
The Oppo Find X features a 6.42-inch Full HD+ AMOLED Panoramic Arc Screen with 19:5:9 aspect ratio and a 93.8 percent screen-to-body ratio. The display is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on top. The smartphone is powered by Qualcomm‘s flagship chipset — Snapdragon 845 along with 8GB of RAM.
It has a motorized sliding dual rear cameras with a 16-megapixel primary and a 20-megapixel secondary camera set up with LED flash, OIS, AI portraits and AI Scene Recognition technology that can identify 800 scenes. The company says that the sliding mechanism has been tested over 300,000 times for durability.
The phone has 3D face unlock, which the company calls O-Face Recognition. It uses 3D Structured Light Technology which scans 15,000 facial points and is claimed to be 20 times safer than fingerprint recognition for unlocking the phone.
On the front side, there’s a 25-megapixel camera with AI that intelligently analyzes features such as face, nose, and eyes, etc. to naturally personalize selfies. The 3D lighting technique offers artistic portraits. There is also 3D Omoji, which is similar to Apple’s Animoji that captures facial expressions in real time to be presented in a fun way.
The device runs on Android 8.1 Oreo operating system out of the box with the company’s own ColorOS 5.1 custom interface on top. The company has also said that support for Android P beta is also coming soon for the smartphone. The device drives power from a 3,730mAh battery which supports VOOC flash charge fast charging technology that promises 2 hours of talk time with 5 minutes of charge.
While Oppo has scheduled a launch event in India on July 12 for launching Oppo Find X, the company has scheduled an event in China to launch the smartphone on 29th June.
Along with the Oppo Find X, the company also launched the Limited Lamborghini Edition that comes with carbon fiber back, 512GB storage and VOOC Super Flash charge with 35-minute 0 to 100% charging. However, it’s not known if the phone will make its way to other regions.
Vivo has recently launched the Vivo NEX flagship phone that includes various attractive features such as 92.4 percent screen-to-body ratio, huge notch-less screen, under-display fingerprint scanner and pop-up selfie camera. This shows that the company is well-focused towards launching smartphones with innovative features. The Vivo NEX is a good rival for the iPhone X. However, the one department where the iPhone X has an upper edge over the NEX is 3D facial scanning. Good news is that an industry insider from China has revealed that Vivo is now working on 3D structured light technology which suggests that it may launch an advanced phone with 3D facial recognition feature in the near future.
The leakster has claimed that Vivo has started developing TOF depth camera which can achieve similar functions as 3D structured light module. Hence, it is expected to support 3D depth mapping of the face for unlocking the screen. Also, users will be also able to authenticate payments through it.
In addition, the TOF depth camera has more advantages. First, the overall size of the module is small which suggests that the handsets featuring may not require a notch.
Second, it will be able to identify the face from a longer distance compared to traditional sensors. Also, it will be able to function accurately in different lighting conditions. Third, it is convenient to mass produce of TOF depth camera. This shows that Vivo may manage to deliver better 3D depth sensing than Face ID on iPhone X.
Here is a representational image that show the placement of TOF depth camera alongside other sensors such as proximity sensor and infrared camera at the top portion of the phone. As, the image suggests that these sensors can be embedded under the display. Hence, such a smartphone may not need a notch to house those sensors.
According to the tipster, Vivo will be unveiling its 3D facial recognition technology during the 2018 Mobile World Congress (MWC) Shanghai that will be held between June 27 and 29. There is a possibility that Vivo may launch a smartphone equipped with 3D facial scanning technology in the latter half of the year.
The hotly-anticipated OnePlus 6 propelled straight to skyrocketing popularity after hitting the store shelves in May this year. This was hardly surprising, given that the phablet boasts a broad range of exceptional specs and features that are likely to sweep tech buffs off their feet.
While the OnePlus 6 would normally set you back a pretty penny, GearBest is doling out a significant discount on the device’s steep retail price for a limited period of time. Let’s delve straight into the details.
GearBest is offering a 10% off on the OnePlus 6 phablet, bringing its original asking price down to just $559.99. The aforesaid reduction in the device’s selling price will be valid specifically for the mirror black color version.
The OnePlus 6 is quite a bargain at $559.99, considering that it sports a massive 6.28 inches Optic AMOLED capacitive touchscreen display with a screen resolution of 1080 x 2280 pixels. On top of that, it comes with Corning Gorilla Glass 5 for added protection.
The powerful phablet packs a Qualcomm SDM845 Snapdragon 845 processor along with an Adreno 630 graphics processing unit. Moreover, it offers 6GB of RAM and a hearty 64GB of onboard storage.
On the photography front, the OnePlus 6 phablet houses a 16MP + 20MP dual camera setup with phase detection autofocus, and dual-LED flash on the back. Up front, there’s a 16MP camera for selfies and face-to-face video chatting.
Furthermore, the device runs the latest Android 8.1 Oreo operating system and is backed by a 3300mAh big capacity battery. As if that weren’t enough, the OnePlus 6 phablet is crammed with all sorts of useful sensors such as gravity-sensor, proximity sensor, light sensor, gyroscope, E-compass, accelerator, RGB sensor, NFC, hall sensor, and fingerprint sensor.
You can follow this link to check out the full specification and take advantage of the discount before it ends.
Despite Meizu 15 series having just hit the market, soon the Chinese company will unveil another line-up of flagship smartphones: Meizu 16. In a recent interview, the company’s founder Huang Zhang has indeed revealed that the Meizu 15 released to celebrate the 15th anniversary of the company is just a test, while the 16 will be the ultimate product. Now, the founder has also revealed that the upcoming flagship series will feature a special heat dissipation system working through a copper tube.
This would not be the first time we see such a dissipation system: other smartphones featuring it are the 2017 Razer Phone and even the older Samsung Galaxy S7 and S7 Edge. This system will be present in order to push the octa-core Snapdragon 845 SoC by Qualcomm to the maximum without overheating. In case you don’t know, the company had previously confirmed that at least one variant of the Meizu 16 line-up will feature the Snapdragon 845 SoC, which will make it the first Meizu flagship to feature a top-end Qualcomm chipset.
The handset is also tipped to come with 8 GB of RAM, but probably this amount of memory will be an exclusive for the Plus variant. Indeed, according to rumors, the standard version will pack the lower-end chipset Snapdragon 710 which remains a high-end SoC even though it is not at the same level of SD845. Meizu 16 will be officially unveiled in August, but the founder Huang Zhang will not attend the event, it should have either the Vice President Li Nan or Yang Wei as the main star.
Thanks to the new heat dissipation system, the flagship should be able to achieve impressive performance in gaming or with heavy apps and multi-tasking. No words have been spoken until now about the availability and price of the upcoming flagship.
Yesterday, TENAA had revealed the entire specifications of M1804E4C, M1804E4T and M1804E4A Xiaomi phones, but their listings did not include any images. The specifications of these models had suggested that they are nothing but network variants of the upcoming Xiaomi Mi Max 3 smartphone. The Chinese certification body has now updated the listings by adding the images of the phone. The updated listings reveal that all the variants have identical design.
The TENAA listing had mentioned that the Mi Max 3 has three cameras. However, it had only mentioned the configuration of the main sensor of the dual camera setup. Now that the images of the phone have appeared, it is now confirmed that the handset indeed features a dual camera setup.
The TENAA images show that the Mi Max 3 has a tall aspect ratio display. The top and bottom bezels are not very thick and are of equal size while the side bezels are thin. The antenna bands can be seen running along the top and bottom edges of the phone.
The rear panel of the Mi Max 3 is made out of metal. It has a vertical dual camera setup that includes a LED flash between the two sensors. A fingerprint scanner is also present on the rear of the phone.
The M1804E4C model has 64 GB storage, 4 GB of RAM and a selfie camera of 5-megapixel. Rest of its specs are same as M1804E4T and M1804E4A models. The Mi Max 3 features 6.9-inch FHD+ resolution supporting display. It is fueled by 1.8 GHz octa-core processor. It seems that the phablet is powered by Snapdragon 636. However, there is a possibility that there could be a higher variant featuring the Snapdragon 710 SoC. It is packed with a huge battery of 5,4000mAh capacity. The main sensor of the dual camera setup is of 12-megapixel. It is fitted with a front-facing camera of 8-megapixel.
There is no confirmation on the launch date of the Mi Max 3. However, Xiaomi CEO Lei Jun had confirmed in the last month that the smartphone would be announced in July. It is expected to debut with Redmi 6 Pro and Mi Pad 4 in the coming month.
What’s your opinion on the specs and images of the Xiaomi Mi Max 3? Share us your views by posting your comments below.
Xiaomi Mi Pad 4 has been in the works for quite some time now but there has been no concrete detail on its launch date from Xiaomi. The company announced the Mi Pad 3 in April last year but now we are in June and all what we know is a couple of likely details and certifications but no launch modalities have been revealed. Well. that may soon change if Xiaomi’s latest Weibo post on the Mi Pad Weibo handle is anything to go by.
The Xiaomi Pad Weibo handle has been relatively inactive for a while. The last post before this one was posted in January last year and since then there has been nothing until now. The short Weibo post just hints at a good news coming at 10 am tomorrow. We don’t know what exactly the news is but it could possibly be the Mi Pad 4 unveiling or the announcement of a launch date for the 4th-gen Mi Pad.
The tablet market has not enjoyed a successful run, mainly due to the proliferation of phablet-sized phones. But the Mi Pad is one product that was well received, especially last year’s Mi Pad 3. The Mi Pad 4 is expected to retain the 7.9-inch LCD display found on its predecessors. A leaked firmware file, however, suggest the tablet may come with an 18:9 aspect ratio but that isn’t certain. The device is expected to feature a 13-megapixel rear-mounted camera and a frontal shooter of 5-megapixel. There is also the rumour of a Snapdragon 660 chipset onboard. We won’t have to wait for too long to get the full details of this product but we expect something with some upgrade over the Mi Pad 3.
Xiaomi continues to expand its ecosystem products each week. Among the products that have dropped this week is the Himo electric bicycle. The bicycle is actually a power-assisted bicycle with support for multi-mode cycling. Another strong selling point of the bike is its price tag. It is on offer for just 1,699 yuan (~$261) so, it isn’t surprising that the crowdfunding support has been overwhelming.
The Himo Electric Bicycle, just like all Xiaomi products, comes with a solid build with a design that is quite attractive. Its battery modules, electronic control systems, and chargers are all integrated into the design. The electric bike has a compact structure which is also lightweight. The handlebars are equipped with a multi-functional instrument panel with an LCD display. The panel also has three buttons, one is the power button, another is the button to switch modes easily. The LCD display shows various vital parameters like the battery power, the distance travelled and others. The pane comes with an IP54 waterproof build which makes it suitable for use when it is raining.
Further, the bicycle frame is made of aluminium alloy and in all, it weighs 16.7kg which is light enough for ladies to lift up easily. The battery and internal wiring is integrated with the frame and is covered with a plastic casing. The handlebar is also collapsible for easy transport. The Himo Electric Bicycle comes with an LED headlamp with enhanced brightness. The taillight is designed to have a large area for visibility of the bike to other road users. The device also features high-performance brake discs with the brakes connected to the taillight. The bike also comes with wear-resistant shock-absorbing tires to ensure driving safety.
The Himo electric bike gets its juice from a 250W brushless DC motor in the power-assisted mode. The DC motor is integrated into the 12-inch hub on the rear wheel. This brings ease to the pedalling by providing less resistance, greater torque and rapid dynamic response. There is also a 6AH/36V battery with a charging time of about 6.5 hours. A fully charged battery can last a riding distance of about 50 kilometres.
The Himo electric bicycle is presently available on crowdfunding on the Youpin website for 1699 yuan ($261). The product is expected to start shipping on July 30 and is available in White and Orange colours. Unfortunately, we can’t tell when this product will be available outside China but that may happen soon via third-party retailers like Banggood and Gearbest.
Lephone, the Chinese mobile phone manufacturer, has launched a new budget smartphone in the Indian market — Lephone Dazen 6A. The smartphone is priced at Rs. 7,999, which roughly converts to $118. Additionally, the company is offering its customers free 100 days of screen replacement warranty.
This marks the launch of company’s fourth smartphone in India. Last year, the China-based company had launched three phones — Lephone W15, Lephone W2, and Lephone W7 in the Indian market, all priced below Rs. 10,000.
The Lephone Dazen 6A features a 5.7-inch HD+ display with screen resolution of 1440 x 720 pixels and screen aspect ratio of 18:9. Under the hood, the device is powered by MediaTek MT6737H quad-core processor clocked at 1.3GHz.
The phone comes with 3GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage, along with a microSD card slot that enables users to further expand the phone’s storage capacity up to 128GB.
Coming to the camera department, the smartphone comes with a dual camera setup at the back, which consists of a 13MP primary sensor along with a secondary VGA sensor equipped with a dual tone LED flash. On the front side, it features a 5MP camera sensor for taking selfies and video calling. The phone comes with different camera modes, including bokeh, beauty, FaceCute, and panorama.
On the connectivity front, the smartphone supports 4G LTE, FDD, 3G, 2G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0, FM Radio, GPS/A-GPS, 3.5mm audio jack, and a USB Type-C port for charging and data transfer. There’s also a fingerprint sensor on the back panel for added security as well as support for the Face Unlock feature.
The smartphone runs on the outdated Android 7.0 Nougat operating system out of the box and we are not expecting the company to roll out Android version update for the smartphone. The device is powered by a 3,000mAh battery.
HMD Global joined the notch train with the still China-exclusive Nokia X6. But earlier this month, leaked 3D renders revealed it was planning a second notch-screen phone called the Nokia 5.1 Plus. The device has now surfaced on TENAA with model number TA-1099.
The Nokia 5.1 Plus will have less powerful specs than the Nokia X6. This shouldn’t be surprising as HMD Global has shown that the higher the number in the name, the better the phone.
It will have a 5.86-inch display with a 1520 x 720 resolution which translates into a 19:9 aspect ratio. Powering the phone is a 2.0GHz octa-core processor. We can’t say if it is a MediaTek chipset or a Qualcomm chip but we won’t be surprised if it is the former. Our guess is it is probably the Helio P22 found in the recently announced Redmi 6.
[envira-gallery id=”197046″]
The Nokia 5.1 plus will come in 3GB, 4GB, and 6GB variants with 32GB and 64GB of storage. Just as the CAD renders revealed, the phone will come with dual cameras. TENAA mentions only the primary camera which is a 13MP sensor. There is also an 8MP selfie camera.
Other details mentioned include a fingerprint scanner, a MicroSD card slot, a 3000mAh battery, and Android 8.1 Oreo pre-installed. When it launches, it will be available in blue, black, and white.

Xiaomi‘s IPO is about going official on the Hong Kong stock exchange but there are indications that the company has lowered its likely valuation to between US$55 billion and US$70 billion.
According to three sources with direct knowledge of the matter, the decision to scale down the valuation is said to stem from the delay in its mainland share offering until after its Hong Kong IPO. The reason for the delay in the valuation of its China depositary receipts (CDRs) is well reported in our earlier article.
Xiaomi’s IPO is expected to be the largest in four years since Chinese e-commerce giant Alibaba Group Holding Ltd raised $25 billion in its 2014 debut in New York. The company was initially expected to raise US$10 billion but that figure may not be realistic with the recent developments.
The lucrative U.S market has been a tough nut for Huawei to crack and the company has all but given up on the market. The company still retains its position as the number one phone maker in China in terms of market share. India is another market Huawei is targeting but Xiaomi controls a large share of the market. It has now emerged that Huawei has its eyes set on other markets. A report out of Japan indicates that Huawei ranks among the top 5 phone vendors in Japan.
The report by a Japan-based firm, BCN statistics, showed a number of Huawei models ranked among the top 5 highest-selling models in Japan. The ranking is based on statistical data collected by the firm of sales recorded on just a single day (June 16). The top sales as collated placed the iPhone 8 (64GB) as the first, second and third best-selling models on three different carriers (NTT Docomo, Softbank and au). The fourth spot is occupied by the Huawei P20 Lite, same as the fifth spot.
The Sony Xperia XZ1 comes in at the sixth position, followed by Sharp AQUOS S2 at number 7, Galaxy S4 at number 8, and Sharp AQUOS Sense at number 9. Huawei’s P10 Lite completes the top 10. This isn’t the overall monthly or yearly sales, as Huawei may not yet be on the top 5 when that is collated. But the data does show that Huawei is slowly but steadily gaining popularity in Japan.
UPDATE: The OPPO Find X has been officially unveiled. The launch revealed new and important details such as pricing and availability, a special edition model, and OPPO’s new fast-charging technology called SuperVOOC Charge. We have added these new details to the article, We advise you read from the beginning again.
The OPPO Find X launch event is still hours away but The Verge has let the cat out of the bag early. So rather than wait till the official launch which is about 8 hours away…….
OPPO Find X Design
The Find series took a break after 2014 but now it is back with a new design, flagship specs, and a few tricks. The Find X has a 6.4-inch screen which is a big jump when compared to the 5.5-inch screen of the Find 7 and Find 7a, but with practically no bezels, there isn’t a huge difference in the size of both phones.
The screen of the OPPO Find X stretches to the top and therefore obliterates the bezel where the front camera, sensor, and earpiece usually reside. There is still a small slit for the earpiece above the display but OPPO has come up with a trick, albeit a familiar one, to hide the sensors and front camera.
Unlike the Vivo NEX that has a pop-out front-facing camera, the Find X itself has a large automatic sliding mechanism the width of the phone. When this part of the phone slides out, it not only reveals the front camera and 3D face scanning sensors for unlocking the phone, it also reveals the dual rear cameras and LED flash. OPPO has termed it “Stealth 3D cameras”. It is similar to what Doogee demoed with the Mix 4 prototype but with a slightly different take.
OPPO says the slide-out mechanism pops out in just 0.5 seconds. It is pretty fast according to The Verge and even if it isn’t for you, you will have to get used to it if you want to unlock your phone. That is because the Find X doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner. There is not one under the screen, on the side, or at the back. So it is either 3D Face Unlock or O-Face as OPPO calls it or pin/pattern/password.
OPPO Find X Specs
The OPPO Find X has a 6.4-inch curved 1080p OLED display with a 93.8% screen to body ratio. It is powered by the Snapdragon 845 processor paired with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of built-in storage.
It has a 25MP camera for selfies with multiple 3D portrait lighting features and OPPO’s own take on the iPhone X’ emojis which it calls Omoji. There is a 16MP + 20MP dual camera combo on the rear with OIS and AI features such as scene recognition.
Launch the camera app (or any app that needs to use a camera) and the slide out mechanism brings up the cameras for you. It will also automatically retract when you exit the app. If you are wondering about how durable the sliding mechanism is, OPPO says it will last up to 5 years without any issues.
Like it is mentioned above, the OPPO Find X doesn’t have a fingerprint scanner but it has O-Face (3D face unlock) which OPPO says has a failure rate of 1/1,000,000 compared to that of a fingerprint scanner which is 1/50,000. O-Face is secure enough for payment and therefore supports Alipay.
The phone has a dual SIM slot which is at the bottom beside the USB-C port. It has global LTE support which means it will work in any country. There is no audio jack which shouldn’t be a surprise anymore. Battery capacity is 3,730mAh with OPPO’s VOOC fast charging. The Find X runs Android 8.1 Oreo with Color OS 5.1 on top. OPPO says the phone will get support for Android P beta.
OPPO Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition
Just as Huawei announced the Mate RS Porsche Design, OPPO has decided to partner with Italian car manufacturer Lamborghini, for a special edition Oppo Find X.
The OPPO Find X Automobili Lamborghini Edition has a textured design under the rear glass that makes it appear like carbon fiber. It also has an engraved Lamborghini logo at the bottom.
OPPO hasn’t stopped at just upping the physical appearance. The Find X Lamborghini Edition is the first OPPO phone to come with SuperVOOC fast charge. SuperVOOC fast charge has a 50W power rating (10V/5A), allowing you to charge the phone’s 3400mAh battery from zero to 100% in just 35 minutes!
[envira-gallery id=”196978″]
The phone also comes in a special packaging with custom accessories with design inspiration from some of Lamborghini’s cars. OPPO says this is the beginning of their partnership with Lamborghini, so expect future OPPO-Lamborghini phones.
If you own any of the following devices, you can now install a public beta version of MIUI 10 (China Developer ROM) on your phone.
The devices are the Mi 8, Mi 8 SE, Mi 6, Mi MIX 2S, Mi MIX 2, Mi MIX, Mi Note 2, Redmi S2 and Redmi Note 5. The Mi 6X should be among but the update has been pulled down due to an unresolved issue with the camera. Once it is fixed, it will be made available.
MIUI 10 China Developer ROM 8.6.1x brings a number of new features including a new navigation experience for full-screen phones, redesigned recent apps screen, an AI assistant and more.
Recent reports have suggested that Sony would be debuting the Xperia XZ3 flagship phone at the IFA 2018 tech trade show that is scheduled to take place between Aug. 31 and Sept. 5 in Berlin, Germany. It is expected to borrow the dual camera setup and front-facing camera from the Xperia XZ2 Premium smartphone that was unveiled recently. Today, a new Sony phone with a model number of H8416 has appeared on GFXBench. Since it features flagship specs, it is being speculated that it could be the forthcoming Xperia XZ3 phone.
According to the GFXBench listing, the Sony H8416 features a 5.9-inch display that supports Quad HD+ resolution of 2880 x 1440 pixels. This suggests that the display offers an aspect ratio of 18:9. It seems to be the first ever from the Japanese firm to support QHD+ resolution on an 18:9 aspect ratio screen.
The Snapdragon 845 SoC is present under the hood of the H8416 phone. The SoC is coupled with 6 GB of RAM and the device includes an inbuilt storage of 128 GB.
For shooting selfies, it has a 13-megapixel front camera. GFXBench usually lists information of the main sensor of a smartphone even if it features a dual camera setup. The benchmarking site has revealed that the main sensor of the smartphone is of 19-megapixel. Since the Xperia XZ3 is expected to borrow the dual camera setup from Xperia XZ2 Premium, it may inherit the 19-megapixel + 12-megapixel Motion Eye dual camera system. It is loaded with Android 9.0.
It is recommended to take this report with a pinch of salt since there is no direct link available for the GFXBench listing of Sony H8416. Moreover, it is not too difficult to fake a GFXBench listing.
